"SONOFABITCHINCOCKERSPANIELSUCKINTOADLICKINCUNT!!!!!!!" A large red welt grew along the side of Kagome's jaw, blood welling up from where the sharp wire broke the skin. Her brow twitched and she gripped her guitar tightly as the snapped wire swung freely.

Inu Yasha walked out of his room with a pair of black jeans on and a white t-shirt. He stooped by Kagome's door and opened it. ''Hey, Kags, are you ok?"

Her stormy eyes lifted to his face, the throbbing welt glowing a furious scarlet color as she grit her next words out. "Good morning, Inu Yasha. Nice to see you dressed. Might you happen to have a guitar string handy?"

He nodded. "Yeah, in my room." The boy eyed the welt. "You should wash that and put some disinfectant on it."

She nodded tersely before standing up. Stiffly, she walked over too the door before tripping over a toy left carelessly on the floor, and yelped, pitching forward.

Inu Yasha darted forward and caught her. "Are you ok?" he asked quietly.

Kagome's eyes lifted to Inu Yasha's for a fraction of a moment before she pushed herself away from him and brushed herself off. "Yea..." she mumbled, "Thanks." Pushing past him she made her way out of the room.

He blinked and followed her. "Don't tell me my clumsiness is rubbing off on you, Kags?"

She smirked in the mirror at him. "Must be. Let's hope that that's all that's being exchanged."

He tilted his head, looking almost like a curious, confused puppy. "What's that supposed to mean, Kagome?" he asked as he watched her leaning against the door frame.

The girl smiled in the mirror and shook her head. "Nothing, Inu-kun," she said, still grinning. She opened the medicine cabinet and reached up for the bottle of disinfectant, but slipped again on some water on the floor and smacked the shelf, knocking all the bottles and instruments for god knows what on that level, down onto her head. "Gack!"

Inu Yasha flinched at the noise. "Oh, yeah, you definitely have the Klutz disease."

Kagome looked up at him from her buried place on the bathroom floor, and looked like she was two seconds away from bursting into tears, her bottom lip trembling and her eyes watering considerably. "Inu Yasha..." she whimpered.

He knelt down to help her up. "Did you hurt yourself again?"

She lifted her arms and wrapped them around his shoulders like a little kid and grunted as he drug her up out from under the bottles and clippers and tweezers and razors and god knows what else.

He held her up protectively with his arms wrapped around her waist. "Are you hurt?" he asked as he held her there, looking her over.

She nodded silently, biting her lip to stop the childish whimpering from choking through. Scrapes and scratches and bruises decorated her legs like a bad attempt at a Picasso and the welt on her face hurt like all hell.

Inu Yasha's brows furrowed. "I didn't think my clumsiness was that contagious." He sighed. "Go to my room and set down on the bed; I will get you the string you need."

Kagome nodded and cautiously made her way back to his bedroom. She looked around at the disastrous mess he had made of it already and groaned. Well, it would give her something to do instead of being cooped up in her room all day. She lowered herself to his bed and closed her eyes, flopping backwards, her legs hanging off of the side and her hair spread like an ebony halo about her head.

Her employer took a few minutes to pick up the mess that fell out of the cabinet, making sure all the things were out of reach of the kids, and then walked into his room. He looked at Kagome as he walked to his closet. "Having fun there, are we?" he asked as he rummaged through the closet.

The girl grunted, half-asleep from exerting too much of herself in chasing after him this morning and trying to keep her temper in check when she turned to Princess El-Klutzo. With 80% of her body's energy being used to focus on healing her side, which left her a very wiped out Kagome.

Inu Yasha pulled out a guitar case and dropped it down on the bed next to her. "There ya go, extra strings are in there."

She lifted a hand lazily up to him for him to help her up.

He laughed and grabbed her hand pulling her into a sitting position. "Lazy."

Her tired head dropped forward, only to come in sharp contact which made her whimper and snap her head back up. Her eyes opened irritably to see what she had head butted, and felt her body heat up when she found what her view was focused on.

Inu Yasha groaned. "Damn, you're getting worse."

She looked up at him. "N-nani?" she stammered.

"Your klutz attacks are getting worse," he said as he opened the guitar case and pulling out some strings. "Here take the whole pack," he said, handing them to her.

Eyeing him dumbly, she arched a brow. "My klutz attacks are getting worse, and you trust me to string a guitar? Are you drunk?"

Inu Yasha grunted. "I don't string guitars, that's Miroku's department. I just play them."

She groaned and flopped back down on the bed. "Goodnight. Wake me up sometime next year."

The boy reached down and shook her leg. "Go back to your room and get some rest."

Opening one eye, the live in babysitter stuck her tongue out at him. "Oooh, don't touch me like that, Inu." A teasing lilt to her voice made the beginnings of a perverted smirk tug at her lips.

Inu Yasha growled and then an evil smirk came across his face. "You do know me and Kouga have sex in that bed, don't ya?"

She closed her eyes and let a full blown grin erupt across her face. "Yes and that's why I love it here. The smell of Yaoi just makes me soooo wet, Inu.." she said huskily her voice dropping lower and lower.

Inu Yasha growled and turned his back on her. "You're a bitch, Kagome."

She sat up on her elbows, a genuinely confused look on her face. "What? What did I do now?"

He shook his head and walked out the door. "There are your strings. Breakfast is ready, I can smell it," he said as he walked down the hall.

The girl shot up off of the bed. "God Dammit, Inu Yasha, how the hell am I supposed to know what not to do if I don't even know what I did wrong?"

Kouga yelled out, "Breakfast is ready."

Souta and Shippou sat down at the table and drank some juice.

Kagome shot another glare at the back of Inu Yasha's head as he continued to ignore her. "Fine, whatever," she spat as she spun around, marching back down the hall to the bedroom, yelling over her shoulder. "Not hungry!"

Inu Yasha sighed. "I give up trying to get along with her." He shook his head and looked at Kouga. "I'm not hungry."

Kouga blinked. "Must be bad, if you're not hungry."

Mayu sat at the table staring down at her food, not picking up the silverware or making any notion that she was going to eat either.

Inu Yasha looked at the girl and sighed he turned and walked down the hall going into Kagome's room. "Ok, we need to talk, and I mean now."

The young woman's eyebrow twitched as she looked up from the guitar she was currently failing at stringing, and slicing her fingers up in the process. "Is that a fact?"

"Yes..." Inu Yasha said, trying to keep his temper under control. "I promised Mayu we would at least stop fighting for one day, and I am a man of my word." He slumped against the door. "She is hurt because of all the fighting."

Kagome's fingers paused for a moment, a pained look crossing her face. "Oh no..." she whispered gently.

He nodded. "I don't like seeing a kid depressed, it gets to me," he said sadly. "So, let's try not to get under each others skin, ok?"

She arched a brow at him. "Will you tell me why I'm a bitch now?"

Inu Yasha ducked his head. "You have to stop saying things like that to me." He ran a hand over his eyes and knotted his fist into his bangs. "You remind me of Kikyou ...and its hard not to..." he faded off as his hand fell from his hair and limp at his side.

Kagome put the guitar gently on the bed and walked over to him, crouching in front of him, and reaching out to lift his chin up tenderly. "I'm sorry..." she whispered softly.

He brought his eyes up to lock gazes with hers. Inu Yasha licked his lips and leaned forward and kissed her lips gently.

She felt her eyes begin to drift closed as she felt his lips brush against hers.

Inu Yasha pulled back from her lips and whispered into her ear. "Go and eat breakfast with Mayu."

The girl blushed and looked down. "Inu Yasha, I--" she cut herself off and drug her eyes back up to his. She swallowed and inhaled deeply. "I'm sorry..." she said gently.

The boy closed his eyes and shook his head. "It's my problem, not yours. I can handle it; you go and cheer up your little girl."

She eyed him then reached forward, wrapping her arms around him, embracing him tightly for a few moments, squeezing her eyes shut tightly.

He hugged her back. "Please, Mayu is more important than me, go to her and enjoy what you have, because in the blink of an eye, it can be taken away."

Kagome pulled back and then nodded, her hair covering her face before she stood up and walked out of the bedroom and into the kitchen taking a seat beside Mayu, smiling at her gently. The little girl smiled shyly and she picked up her fork and began shoveling eggs into her mouth.

Inu Yasha, soon after, left her room and walked into the kitchen. "So, did Kouga cook a good breakfast, or should I call a hazmat team to come and pick it up?" he asked as he looked at Kouga and gave him a wink.

Kouga folded his arms across his chest. "Ha, Ha, very funny, Inu Yasha," he said in a dry tone.

Kagome arched a brow and picked up a strangely rubbery looking piece of egg. "Uhhhhh...I don't know Kouga...are you sure this is edible?"

Kouga growled. "My cooking is fine." He reached over and smacked Inu Yasha upside the head.

Inu Yasha smirked. "Owwww!!! Baby, hurt me, you know I like it rough."

Kouga's face flamed with embarrassment. "Inu Yasha! Shut up!"

Kagome choked on a piece of toast that she was making an attempt at chewing, gagging around a rock hard chunk of bread, if it could be called that.

Mayu's eyes flew open. "Mommy!"

Kouga darted over and began to pat Kagome on the back. "Ok, ok, maybe we should go out and get breakfast."

She dislodged the 'food' from her throat and reached up to rub it, sorely. "Ummm... I think that I have had enough food adventures for one day. I still feel kinda bleh from being sick. I think I'm just gonna grab some orange juice and lay back down."

Mayu looked up at her mommy and hopped up to kiss her cheek. "Mommy needs some 'Gang' action."

Inu Yasha and Kouga blinked. "Uhhhhh, do I want to know what that is?" Inu Yasha asked.

Kagome blushed at what he was indicating and dropped her head to stifle the groan threatening to come out of her mouth.

Her 'Mini-me' jumped up and down as she explained. "Every one gives her a hug and a kiss and makes her a get well soon present, and then we each sing her lullabies!"

Inu Yasha sighed in relief. "Ok, why don't you and the boys go and do that."

Souta and Shippou got up from the table and darted into their room.

"And no drawing on the walls, Shippou," Kouga called out.

Mayu stood with her hands on her hips and shook her head. "Nuh-uh. EVERY BODY does it. You and Wolfy too."

Kagome blinked and ducked her head. "They don't have to, Mayu," she muttered, hiding her red face.

The little girl stomped her foot adamantly. "Yes they do! Or else!"

Inu Yasha blinked. "Its ok, Kagome. We can do it if it makes her happy." He nudged Kouga in the ribs.

"Oh ...yeah we can," he said.

Mayu grabbed her blushing mother's hand and drug her off to her bedroom leaving the two guys behind to get to work on their presents.

Kouga looked at Inu Yasha. "Ummm, what are we suppose to do?"

Inu Yasha smirked. "Sing, what else?"

The little devil child marched back out and grabbed Kouga's and Inu Yasha's hands dragging them into Souta and Shippou's room. "Ok, now you have to make her a present. And you have to think of what you are each going to sing to her."

Kouga and Inu Yasha followed the little girl.

"We are gonna sing a song together, Mayu," Inu Yasha said as he and Kouga took a seat on the floor.

Mayu shook her head as she sat down on the floor and handing them each crayons and paper. "You can't. Only one person can go in the room at a time. That way, no one can make fun of their singing after wards." Mayu smiled. "Mommy made that up because Kohaku and Nobunaga always used to tease me and Ayame coz we messed up the words."

Kouga eyed Inu Yasha. "Ummm, but we want to sing together," Kouga said.

She glared at both of them. "You can't break 'drition, else me, Shippou, Souta, and Kagome can draw evil stuff on you and do evil stuff to you when you sleep." She stuck her nose in the air, huffing, and folded her arms over her chest. "That's the rules."

Kouga blinked. "Uhhhhh...." He shrank back and hid behind Inu Yasha.

Inu Yasha laughed. "Ok, Mayu, it's a deal."

She eyed both of the boys. "You have to hug and kiss her too."

They blinked and looked at each other. "Ok..." they said in unison.

She grinned like the little kid she was and set to work with Souta and Shippou on making their presents.

Inu Yasha looked around the room and picked up a pad of paper and set out to work. He watched Mayu and did a quick sketch of her face. Kouga sat there, dumbfounded, trying to figure out what to do.

Mayu giggled and pointed to the picture she was drawing in crayon of her, the boys and her mommy. She giggled and made Shippou have big floppy red hair.

Shippou laughed and scribbled on some paper with a crayon while Souta slapped some paint onto some construction paper. "Look it, Kagome on a horse!" he said with a giggle.

The little girl laughed then signed her name at the bottom of the picture. She lifted her little head and looked over at the two older men. "How are you two doing?"

Kouga sat there. "Well, I need help on figuring out wha to do."

Inu Yasha finished up the sketch and closed the book after signing it. "Kouga's not really artistic, he is more the musical type," he said.

Mayu wrinkled her nose. "Hmmmm...oh! Fix Mommy's `itar for her!"

Kouga nodded. "That, I can do."

Mayu grinned, and then looked over to Souta and Shippou. "You guys almost done?"

Souta nodded. "Done!" He held up his picture of Kagome on a horse and Shippou held up a picture of a flower and a sun. "Done ."He said with a smile.

The girl hopped up. "Ok. Here's the order. First, Kouga will go, then Shippou, then me, then Souta, then Inu Yasha." She led them out to the living room the shoved Kouga towards Kagome's room.

Kouga nodded. "Ok, no problem."

Inu Yasha carried his picture book under his arm. "Make sure you tune up the guitar for her, Kouga."

Mayu settled down on the floor with her two friends and chatted about something in a quiet voice.

Kagome lay back on her bed and sighed, her eyes closed, a soft blush tingeing her cheeks.

Kouga walked to her room and knocked on her door. "Oh, Kagome, I am here to fix your guitar and tune it," he said as he opened the door and peeked in.

She blinked and looked over at him. "Oh... ok..." she mumbled. "Thanks."

He nodded as he walked in. "No problem. Where's the guitar and strings?"

She pointed to the foot of her bed and looked up at him. "Are you going to sing to me while you do it?" she smirked.

Kouga picked up the guitar. "Well, I figured I would string it and then tune it and call it even," he said as he sat down on the bed with the guitar in his lap.

The young woman smirked. "Nope, it's the whole kit, bang, and caboodle mister. Mayu will have your ass in a wringer otherwise."

The man blinked as he turned the tuning peg, tightening the newly replaced string. "Well, what do you want to hear?" He asked as he strummed the guitar closing his eyes to listen to the strings. "It's not that bad out of tune," he said quietly.

She smiled and nodded. "I take care of my guitar. It's my first child. " She laughed. "Hmmm... How about...The Reason by Hoobastank."

Kouga pushed his hair back behind his ear and started to pick at the strings and started to sing.

"I'm not a perfect person,

He tapped his foot on the floor keeping the beat as he strummed out the tune. His deep voice spilled out into the hall as he sang, and the notes floated past Kagome's ears. She closed her eyes and leaned her head back, listening to him as he sang gently.

Kouga closed his eyes listening to the notes floating from the guitar.

"I'm sorry that I hurt you.

Kouga smiled and the girl on the bed watched him intently as he continued to sing.

He closed his eyes as he belted out the last few lines.

Kouga stretched after the song was finished and handed her the guitar "Plays as good as new," he said with a grin.

Kagome smiled and opened her eyes taking the guitar gently. "Thank you, Kouga. You sing beautifully."

Kouga nodded. "Thanks, and it was no problem." He smiled as he walked out of her room. "OK, all done," Kouga said as he took a seat next to Inu Yasha.

Mayu looked up at him and scowled. "Did you give her a hug and a kiss, too?"

Kouga blinked. "I forgot, but I will go and do that now," he said as he got up and walked back to Kagome's room.

"Kagome, I forgot to give you this." He walked over and bent down to give her a hug and then a peck on the cheek. "You have a very strict child," he said with a laugh.

Kagome laughed slightly and smiled hugging him back. "Yea, she gets it from her father." She smiled sadly and looked off to the side. "Ok, send in the next bearer of good will."

Kouga smiled. "Alright..."

He walked out into the hall and called out. "Next one in line, come on down." Kouga smirked as he walked into the living room and sat down next to Inu Yasha.

Shippou stood up and toddled down the hallway. He peeped around the corner at Kagome and smiled.

Kagome grinned widely at him and threw her arms wide. "You next, huh, squirt?" She laughed.

Shippou squealed and bounded up onto the bed and into her arms. "Yep, hera go, Kagome." He handed her the picture he drew of a sun and a flower.

The girl smoothed his hair back from his forehead and smiled at him. "So what are you gonna sing me?"

He shook his head. "No ..." He hugged her around the neck and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Oh, come on, munchkin." She poked his stomach and he giggled curling against her.

"Okay…" he said as he bounced of the bed to stand beside her.

"Twinkle, little star,

Wonder, wonder are!

Diamond so high

Sky Twinkle sky!

Twinkle little star!"

Kagome laughed and hugged him again.

Shippou reached up and tugged at her hair. "You like?" he said as he pointed at the picture.

She smiled and nodded. "It's very, very good." Leaning forward, she kissed his forehead. "Thank you very much. You are very talented."

Shippou smiled and clapped his hands together as he bounded out of the room.

She watched the little boy run out of the room, and a rueful smile crossed her face before Mayu bounded in her bedroom door, a goofy-assed smile slapped on her face.

"Hey, Mommy!" she chirped as she handed the picture to her and explained it quickly.

Her mother smiled as she stroked her soft hair and hugged her as her baby girl kissed her on the cheek.

"Ok, I'ma sing Tarzan, K?"

Kagome smiled and nodded watching her. "Ok, honey."

Mayu jumped off of the bed and beamed up at her.

"Come, stop your crying, it will be alright,

The little girl beamed up at her smiling mother. She gave her one last kiss then ran out to go get Souta.

Souta saw Mayu and bolted up. "My turn, my turn," he yelled and ran down the hall.

"Kagome!!" he yelled and bounced onto the bed with picture in hand.

She grunted and carefully guided him away from her side and smiled up t him. "Hey, you alien!" A soft laugh bubbled past her lips.

He laughed. "That's Yasha, I'm the almighty Souta," he said, striking a superman pose.

Kagome giggled and smiled. "Most definitely, you are almighty."

Souta handed her the picture he drew of her on a horse. "Here you go, Kagome."

She beamed up at him. "It's awesome!"

He nodded and gave her a hug and a kiss. "Glad you like it."

She smiled big and hugged him tightly. "I love it!! Now, sing me a song."

Souta sat down and thought. "Hmmm...How about Twinkle, Twinkle, little star?"

She nodded, "Sounds good, kiddo."

Souta sat there, kicking his legs, his face a little red.

"Twinkle, twinkle, little star,

How I wonder what you are."

He kicked his feet harder as he sung.

"Up above the world so high,

Like a diamond in the sky,

He covered his mouth with his hands and giggled.

Kagome smiled over at him. "Very well done, Souta. "

"Yay, she liked it!" he squealed as he bounded off of the bed, into the floor.

"Careful!" she yelped and checked him over quickly.

Souta smiled. "I'm ok," he said as he brushed himself off.

She smiled gently then poked his butt. "Ok, go get whoever's left.

Souta laughed and ran down the hall. "Yasha, your turn!"

Inu Yasha stood up nervously and walked down the hall.
