Teehee, I guess I will make it Sesshoumaru/Kagome. I'm a sucker for that match any way. Stay tuned for some bashing. I would have had this up sooner but my other computer died.

I don't own Inuyasha. But is it really so bad that I borrow and torture them?

BEWARE EXTREME FLUFFINESS AHEAD! Jokes soon to follow… :-P

Inuyasha sat next to the well waiting for Kagome to show up. Sesshoumaru had arrived a little while ago and Kagome was due back at any minute. Last he had seen before he snuck off was Rin and Shippou running in circles around Sesshoumaru.

He raised his head a bit and watched as the clouds went by, it was going to rain soon. There was a nice breeze that brought the smell of it closer to him. He loved the rain and the silence in the clearing was rather nice.

Wait a minute! Silence?!

Inuyasha jumped up sword drawn to come face to face with Kikyo.

Kagome headed toward the well house with her bag packed with ramen and pockey for Shippou and Rin. She stopped at the edge of the well.

“Hmmmroww?” Buyou meowed at her rubbing up against her legs.

Kagome smiled and picked up the tubby kitty. “Hmm, if it weren't for you Buyou I wouldn't be going anywhere but school today.” She scratched the cat's ears as he purred. “Thank you for saving me from geometry.” She set the cat down and hoisting he back pack up she jumped in.

“Inuyasha why do you let your brother come between us?” Kikyo asked monotonously.

“Kikyo, it's not like that, I…” He trailed off. He sighed, “I love you Kikyo, and I can't imagine the pain you're in from missing part of your soul.”

Meanwhile down in the well Kagome felt her heart shatter as she heard Inuyasha whisper that to Kikyo. She had come up right when Kikyo asked her question. Now she wished she'd stayed home a little while longer.

“I don't know how to help either one of you. I don't want to hurt you or her…” Inuyasha spoke.

“Well you could start by not talking right over my head!” Kagome yelled up and out of the well.

Inuyasha sweat dropped at the sound of her voice. He turned and looked down the well to see Kagome looking up at him with tears in her eyes. “Kagome I…”

“Shut up Inuyasha I don't want to hear it.” She climbed up the side of the well and sat on the edge in front of him. She looked at him for a few minutes and then started walking towards the village.

“Kagome wait!”

“SIT BOY” Inuyasha kissed the dirt as Kagome kept walking.

“I'll leave you here to speak to Kikyo so I don't interfere.”

Sesshoumaru smelt the tears before he heard her footsteps and ran out of the hut he and the others had taken residence in.

Rain started falling from the sky as Kagome came into his view.

They just stared at each other while the rain fell. Kagome's tears mingleing with the rain drops as the hit her face.

“Well are we going to just stand here and get wet or are we going somewhere?” Kagome asked trying to smile.

“Why are you cryinging?” Sesshoumaru asked.

“Doesn't matter,” Kagome said as she started walking towards him and the hut. Sesshoumaru remained motionless until she was about to pass him.

He grabbed her gently by her upper arms. “What has happened?” He spoke softly. When she didn't reply he let go of one arm and raised her chin so he could see her face.

She wouldn't meet his eyes, couldn't meet them. She felt numb, lifeless. She just wished the rain would wash her away.

“Kagome. Look at me,” Sesshoumaru ordered. When she still wouldn't turn her eyes toward his, he sighed. Then he pulled her into an embrace, “Inuyasha is a fool.”

Kagome stiffened at the embrace, but when she heard Sesshoumaru, it was like a lance to her heart. She started sobbing into his haori. “He's with her,” she sobbed out. “He told her he loved her.”

Sesshoumaru sighed. Playing matchmaker and trainer wasn't something he asked for when he agreed to join the group. But, they were `his' pack now, and he would do his duty to take care of them.

He scooped Kagome off of her feet and almost dropped her. He hadn't accounted for the weight of the backpack.

No wonder she's got a spine of steel. He joked to himself.

“What's so funny?” Kagome demanded from his arms.

Sesshoumaru started walking back to the village. “Your pack's weight surprised this Sesshoumaru.” He answered. “I did not expect one of your size to be able to carry so much.”

“Why did you laugh though?” Kagome pressed. She was possitive she had heard him give a little laugh when he had her in his arms.

“This Sesshoumaru merely realized where your spine came from,” he answered.

“What about my back?” Kagome asked innocently confused.

Sesshoumaru almost dropped her again, then he realized she was teasing him. Good, he thought, get her mind off that dumb idiot brother of mine. Smirking just a little he loosened his grip and let her slip a little.

She squeeked a little as she started to slide down his front. “Sesshoumaru!” She cried out. “Either take me back to the village or let me walk on my own.

She was a little miffed when he set her on her feet again. Then he leaned down and nuzzled her neck.

“I'd better put you down,” he whispered on her neck. Shivers went up Kagome's spine and her arousal spiked. “Otherwise I'd try other methods to get you to scream my name.”

Oh my God!! Kagome's mind screamed. What the hell is he doing?!

“I suggest you start walking Ka-go-me,” he drawled out her name. “You wouldn't want to get sick would you?” He nibbled on her neck before gently pushing her toward the village.

Her face was flushed but she kept on walking. Good. Sesshoumaru thought. Now to deal with that damned miko and my baka brother!!
