"Kagome, do you remember "That Night", HA! what am i thinking of course you do." Makoto said. "Unforunately yes, i do" Kagome almost cried. Thats where Inuyasha had to speak up. "What the hell do you two mean by "That Night"? Kagome laughed cruely, "Hahaha, Inuyasha you need to mind your own damn business, you know what they say: Curiosity killed the cat.", Kagome snapped. Inuyasha jumped, taken back by Kags outburst."No Kagome, i want...i need to know what happened in your past, youknow all about us, but we know nothing of your past.", Inuyasha said firmly yet tenderly, while looking into her eyes. Kagome looked over to her brother, he was just watchingintently at the two.
"Im sorry Inuyasha...your right..its just a hard subject for me to talk about, but after this i want to know how he's still alive."' Kagome said while jerking her thumb towards Makoto. "Good.", Inu said then grinned a little bit, happy that he got his way. "Ok, Inuyasha, do you ever wonder why you never see my dad when you come to my time?" Kagome asked softly. "Well, yeah, i just thought he was dead, isnt he?"
"To me he is, he was beating my mom, the sick bastard." kagome growled out. "He was arrested after the police found out, Makoto called them and told them what was happening, HA, good riddance."
"After two years, he was released. I was 10 by then. Anyway, he came to our house, and...and..., Kagome had tears rolling to her face by this point. "And what, Kagome?", Inuyasha asked concerned for her. "And he killed my real parents, i thought he killed Makoto too, his body was never found, but that doesnt explain how he is still alive."
Inuyasha was stumped by now, "What do you mean by your "Real Parents", Kagome?, The Hanyou asked. "I...i was adopted. That is when they take orphans, and have families who want morechildren or cant have them, take them home with them to be there kids.Anyway, thats how i ended up at the shrine, My "Mom" wanted another child after sota's dad died.
And i was 11 about that time, she felt bad for me after hearing what happened and, well, here i am now.", Kagome explained. "KAGOME, i believe your leaving out something!", Makota yelled at her. "-sigh- Oh, alright, After our parents died, i stayed on the streets for about a year". "Wait a second, Makoto, how did you know i stayed on the streets?"
"I will explain in a while." he smiled. "Whatever", she sighed. Inuyasha was in shock that all of these horrible had happened to her. He didnt know what to say, so all he did was hug her. Kagome was suprised by the gesture but hugged back, crying into his shoulder. After a while they pulled apart and Inuyasha asked:
"Kagome, how did you end up in the foster home?" "Oh, they found me sleeping in an alley one night and took me away", she explained. Inuyasha just nodded his head in understanding. They decided to call it a night and set up camp, they will have explantions from Makoto tomorrow.
Just so you know, "That Night" was refering to the night when Kagome and Makoto's parents got murdered, just to be clear on that. OK, the next chapter will say what Makoto is doing there and how he is still alive. ANYWAY... Please Review! Byes byes. LOL.
