It was dark, about eleven o'clock at night, the girl everyone knew as Sakura-san sat in her name sake, hands relaxed around the steering wheel of her car. Gently she turned her head to the left to look at her opposition and gave him a wink; her indigo eyes were lined with a white frost tonight. Her legs clad in fishnet with her feet covered with black knee high boots. A short leather skirt with a black belt hung from her waist. A blue halter top covered with a leather jacket clung to her chest and draped from her shoulders.

Looking forward again she watched the stared intently waiting for the signal… there it was. As the girls hands fell Sakura's foot slammed on the gas and her black car accelerated down the parking lot. She had to get to the ramp before he did to insure her victory. Shifting the car into the next gear her foot pushed against the break as she neared the first turn letting up before the entered it.

The tail of her car barely missed the wall but that's how a smooth run went. All she had to do was look to her left and down to look into the man's car, but she had no time for that. The next turn would take them into the stretch for the ramp.

Again, she pushed against the break before she entered the next turn barely missing the wall as she accelerated once again pulling in front of her opponent and making a bee line for the ramp. Sakura had to get enough speed to make it all the way up the ramp in one clean drift or she would stop and the man she was racing would plow into her.

Reaching a good seventy miles an hour she hit her breaks and moved her car into a sliding position hitting the ramp at just the perfect angle, nothing less from the current unbeatable top Drift racer in Japan.

Once the crowd at the top saw the black and pink, Sakura littered, Supra emerge from the ramp they started cheering. Sakura spun her car around and waited for Kyo to finish, making sure her victory pose would irritate him even more. She sat on her window talking to three of her friends on the opposite side of her car; Yuka, Eri, and Ayumi.

Kagome looked out the small porthole like window next to her and down to the dark and light green checkered land. She was in America now, no car, no bike, and no friends. She would have to start over, the thought of this bringing a soft sigh from her rosy lips.

It had only been a month since her father past leaving her family with more than enough money, and Kagome's mother felt the need to send her to college in the States. Why she had no idea, maybe she found out about her racing. On more than one occasion her mother had come across the clothes she'd worn during her events and she had to come up with some explanation.

With her move Kagome decided to sell her car, which was her life-line, she wouldn't be able to bring it with her without an interrogation from her mother about the extra papers she would need to fill out.

Now with forty-fix thousand in her purse and a completely new life at a new college she would have to rebuild her reputation as the best, though here… in the States, they had a different way of racing, they actually drag and street raced. It was truly different from drifting and she would have to get use to that also.

First thing first, get a cab. Dark blue eyes scanned the airport Arrival and Departure Zone widening as she saw a yellow car. Her hand flew up in the air attempting to hail the cab, and succeeding, Kagome was surprised she was always told it was difficult to get a ride in America, maybe this was her lucky day.

Looking back the driver smiled before asking, “Where to, Miss?” With a smile in return Kagome answered, “The UM campus please.” With a nod the driver turned and began his drive through the city of Miami.
