Father and Daughter

(Rin's POV)
“Sesshoumaru-sama! Sesshoumaru-sama!” cried a little girl as she ran through a field of flowers, looking for her precious lord, and father with innocent eyes. She ran her arms spread out wide. Feeling the air as it passed by her, as though she was flying. “Sesshoumaru-sama!” she cried as she stopped a top a hill, a happy smile plastered to her face. There he was. Her lord, and father Sesshoumaru; the Great Lord of the Western Lands.

(Sesshoumaru's POV)
“Sesshoumaru-sama! Sesshoumaru-sama!” I heard as I sat under a Sakura out looking my lands. I could hear her happy laughter as she ran through the field of flowers. I could see her clearly in my mind. Those innocent brown eyes of hers, her arms stretched out wide as though she could fly. Her beautiful hair flapping about as she jumped and twirled in the soft petals as they fell around her, and her orange and white kimono ruffling with every movement she made.
I inwardly smiled as I pictured all of these things. These things, these key elements that made up my precious little Rin. My precious little one, my daughter.
“Sesshoumaru-sama!” I heard her cry as her quick footsteps stopped, and I turned to find her looking down at me with that beautiful smile of hers.
“Rin we're going now.” I said as I turned around and started to walk.
“Hai!” I heard her call as she quickly started to run after me, just like always. Ahun, following behind me, with Jaken pulling the reigns keeping the two-headed dragon in check. Although I don't think he needs it. “Sesshoumaru-sama!” I heard as Rin caught up and fell into step beside me. I watched out of the corner of my eye as she reached her left hand up, before putting it into mine. I gently squeezed it, of which I got a giggle out of her. Her beautiful giggle.
During the years I had learned to open up to her, and soon we became as close to a father and daughter as possible if not even more. All of the hardships that she had gone through so had I too. She lost her family, I lost my mother, and father. Now all I have is my half brother InuYasha, and now she has me, and I have her.
I looked down as I noticed her fidgeting a little with the hem of her kimono.
“What is it Rin.” I asked her with a gentleness that I held in my heart for her.
“Rin. Rin. Can Rin call you father?” she asked, before she turned away from me. My eyes widened at her question. I don't know what I felt, but I picked her up. Her beautiful laughter once again filling my ears.
“Yes Rin, you may call this Sesshoumaru father. But only if I can call you daughter.” I watched as her eyes widened before she wrapped her arms around me.
“This Rin would like it very much to be called daughter father.” She replied as we kept on walking. I don't know why but now I think I understand what my father talked about before he died. But now I have a daughter of my own. My own little Rin, my own little Precious one. My Daughter Rin Taisho, Hime-sama of the Western Lands.
