This is something I came up with. Sort of a "spur of the moment" or whatever. If my friends find out I wrote this they'd kill me. I used to hate Kikyo, but I haven't seen Inuyasha for a while so I lost my hate for her. I feel sorta sorry for her, but I hate her a little. Oh well just read. One last thing: While I may not hate Kikyo, I hate Kikyo/Inuyasha pairings. And for those of you that hate Kagome, Like that stupid bitch at my friends' school, you need to shut the hell up.

'Why? Why did you choose her Inuyasha?' Kikyo asked in her mind as she sat weeping on the forest floor. 'I truly loved you. At first the only reason I remained in this world was hatred for you. Then I slowly learned to love you again. But in the end you chose my reincarnation. It doesn't matter. After you defeat Naraku I'll go to hell alone.'

Kikyo's tears came faster at this thought.

"I loved you Inuyasha. I wish for your happiness even if it means I can't have my own."

Kikyo suddenly felt someone rubbing her back and smoothing her hair.

"Shh. Kikyo, I came here to ask you if you'd like to join me. We both love Inuyasha and he loves us both. I think it's time your piece of soul returns home. I can feel your heartbreak. I want for us both to be able to love him. Let your soul return to it's rightful place." Kagome said gently." He loves you so much and I want you to be able to have the happiness you couldn't have in your past life, but I won't be able to give up Inuyasha. I'm too selfish."

Kikyo turned to Kagome.

"You forgive me for all those times I tried to kill you? I don't think you're selfish at all."

Kagome smiled softly and took Kikyo's hand. She stood up, helping Kikyo to her feet.

"Would you like to see Inuyasha one more time while you're in this body?"

Kikyo nodded. "I'd like to say goodbye before I can say hello again."

Kagome and Kikyo walked to Keade's village to see the man their soul seemed to love so much.

"Kikyo… Kagome what is she doing with you?" Inuyasha asked when they stepped into Keade's hut, where the others were.

Kikyo stepped up to Inuyasha as Kagome watched.

"Goodbye Inuyasha. In a way this is the last you'll see of me. So sayonara, Inuyasha." Kikyo placed a gentle kiss on his lips then returned to Kagome's side.

"Miroku, Sango, you're going to have to hold Inuyasha back, no matter what." Kagome told them.

They nodded while Inuyasha took a step forward, worried about the women he loved.

"Kirara, hold back Shippou." The fire cat nodded, turning into her larger form.

"Are you ready, Kikyo?" Kagome asked softly. Kikyo nodded and took an arrow that was offered to her by Kagome.

"Place it over my heart." Kikyo did as told and Kagome did the same. Inuyasha started struggling frantically, realizing what they were doing. Miroku placed some ofuda on him so he couldn't move.

It was magic that hurt us; Let it be magic that heals us

Our soul belongs together; Let it be

Let the barrier that is keeping us apart be broken

Let our broken soul be mended

And let us become one once again

With our heart and soul on the line

Let our soul be returned to its rightful place! ~

The two young women finished reciting the spell and stuck their arrows in each other's chest where their heart is supposed to be.

"Kagome!"

"Mama!"

Came from the two being held back. There was a bright flash and everyone had to cover his or her eyes. When they could see again Kagome was lying on the floor with Kikyo nowhere in sight.

The ofuda had worn off so Inuyasha rushed to Kagome's side and shook her.

"Kagome! KAGOME!"

Kagome's eyes cracked open.

"It's ok, Inuyasha, I'm fine. See?" Kagome said pointing to her chest.

Indeed, there wasn't a wound or blood anywhere in sight.

"Where's Kikyo-sama?" Miroku asked.

Kagome smiled. "She's finally home."
