When Kagome arrived home her mother approached her.
"Sweetheart you're back from tutoring already"
''Yeah Um, Mom?''
''Yes sweetheart"
"The guy I've been tutoring I was wondering if we could go out and eat"
Kagome looked at her feet.
"Like a date. Of course as long I get to meet him"
Kagome looked at her mother with her jaw opened.
''It's not a date?'' her mother said unsatisfied at her daughters expression.
"Mom?"sighed Kagome.
"No. No. It's okay I just wanted see my baby finally get a little social since last year and you haven't had one date sine then. I guess I'm silly to think you were going on one" Mrs. Higurashi sluggishly walked to the kitchen.
"Mom, it's a date" Kagome decided to lie to her mother because she hated to see her this way. I mean what's the worst that can happen
Mrs. Higurashi cheered up at Kagomes confession.
"Oh it is a date! Let me get the camera!"said Kagome's mother as she ran in the back to go fetch the camera.
Kagome rushed upstairs before her mother came back with the camera ready to snapshot her. Mrs. Higurashi came back only to find an empty living room.
"Ka..go..me?'' She sighed and went back to her cleaning.
Meanwhile Kagome was in her room laid out on her bed. She turned around so that she was laying flat on her back.
"What'll happen if my mom meets InuYasha. I'll be embarassed.''
Kagome took her pillow and threw it over her face.
Souta opened the door and entered his older sisters room.
"So, mom tells me you have some type of hot date tonight"
''What's it to you?" Kagome said but Souta could barely hear her because her face was buried in her pillow.
"You're gonna get kissy and lovey dovey with your new boyfriend"said Souta in a teasing baby voice.
"Get out, Souta!"
"Make me big head" teased Souta.
She threw the pillow that covered her face at Souta but he ran out just in time.
"Why did mom have another kid" sighed Kagome.
Souta peeped in again.
"All jokes aside, I hope you have a great night, sis"said Souta and he left .
"Oh, that's why. He's really a sweet kid''. Kagome stared at her pink ceiling that matched her pink room. She then fell into a deep sleep.
It was 4:05 when she fell asleep. Kagome groaned as she woke up and stretched.
"Wow,that was a good sleep" She glanced at the clock and it was 6:30.
"Oh my god I only got a half an hour to get ready."
Kagome rushed in the shower and ran back out not caring about her hair getting wet or even putting a towel on her body. She rushed around her room looking for something to wear. She found a big sweater and some jogging pants. Then she paused and looked in the mirror.
"InuYasha was right I do have a great body. Maybe I should wear that outfit Sango gave me."
Kagome took the small pink tank top and the tight jeans out of her closet. Kagome tried it on and looked in the mirror.
''I look like one of Kikyo's lackys." Kagome smiled and snickered at the thought of following Kikyo around laughing at her lame jokes and doing everything she did.
Kagome put on her glasses.
"This doesn't go" Kagome shook her head and took them off.
She glanced at the drawer that the contacts were securely placed.
"I guess it wouldn't hurt. I mean it's just for one night."
Kagome reached in the drawer in carefully placed the contacts in her eyes. She looked in the mirror and the light reflected off of her grayish-blue eyes.
"I can see clearly. I mean why not wear them tommorrow at school or maybe the next day."

"I am such a hypocrite right now. "

"Oh, hi you must be Inuyasha."Mrs. Higurashi.

"That's sweet. Now Kagome come over here so you guys can take a picture.

Then flash went off that almost blinded InuYasha.

''It's great place they serve the best chili dogs'' said InuYasha as he shut the passengers car door.
"Oh, I love chili dogs'' squealed Kagome as they went into the restaurant. The door made a cute little *ching* when they opened it.
"Wow, this restaurant looks just like one of those old time diners''
A lady, who about in her late 30's, waved at InuYasha and walked over to them.
"InuYasha! I haven't seen you around here since your father died. You grown up to be such a handsome young man''said the lady grabbing InuYasha's cheeks.
InuYasha let a smile that shocked Kagome. He's smiling? These people must mean a lot to him
''Thanks, Auntie Kierei''

"Who is this young lady" Kierei turned to Kagome.

''Okay, I'll get your order in about 20 minutes. Sasoke! I need to chili dog specials and one large coke''
A guy about the same age as Keirei came out in a cooks outfit.
"Alright. I'll be right... InuYasha?!''
''Hey, Uncle Sasoke''
''Hey,I haven't seen you in about 5 years. Who's this fine young lady?''

''See you tommorrow at 3:00'' Then he left.

But it was too late he had left already. Kagome sighed and sunk down in the booth.
"I had to open my big mouth''
Keirei came over to the booth. "Oh, honey what happen''

''Want me to drive you home''
Kagome looked up at Keirei "Would you?''
Keirei had parked in front of Kagome's house.
''Thanks'' Kagome opened the car door.
Keirei placed her hand on Kagome's shoulder.
''If you have any problems and need some advice you come to me okay'' Kagome nodded.
"Promise you'll do that''
''I promise. Thanks again Ms. Keirei" Kagome got out the car and went into her house.
"Sweet kid. I know she's exactly what InuYasha needs. Ain't that's right brother''
Keirei looked up to the sky.
''Rest in Peace''
