It all started when Kagome was in her room studying to become a miko. And as you all know a miko is a priestess that wants and loves to help people.

While studying, her father, King Higurashi came in.

 

“I need to talk to you.” he said.

 

“Yes. What about?” asked Kagome.

 

“Well seeing how you are now 18, and 18 being the right age to be getting married, I arranged a marriage. And you will marry, Naraku.”

 

“What!” she screamed, “I will not marry that jerk. He tried to kill me once before or did you forget that?”

 

Raising his voice, “No I didn't forget.” “And don't you raise your voice at me.” “You will marry Naraku. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.” “DO YOU UNDERSTAND?” Without an answer he turned around and stomped out of the room.

 

SLAM!!!!

She ran to her bed and started crying.

 

She asked herself, “Why?” Then she thought to herself, `Does my father hate me that much? Does he really want me to die?' Thinking out loud she says, “If he wants me gone so bad, maybe I should just leave.” Giving it some more thought, she says, “If that's what he wants then that's what he gets.”

 

So, Kagome gathered up a few things and headed for the door. She took one step outside of the door and looked around the corner to see if the coast was clear. No one was there. “Good” she said with a sigh of relief.

 

She ran down the hall and flew down the stairs, and out of the castle's big silvery gates.

 

“Free at last!!!!” she scream in her head. “I am free! No more rules, no more arranged marriages and no more princess duties.” Then she thought to herself, `Was I even prepared for this? I didn't even tell Sota bye.' “But at least he will be safe form father. And can honestly say that he doesn't know anything about me disappearing and where I might be.” She said aloud. “And the best part of it is I don't have to marry Naraku.” She said all happily like. “That. That. That. Grrrr. I can't even think of a mean name to call him.” Kagome said frustrated like. Finally she told herself, “I really have to do less thinking and more walking.” “Where am I going to go?” Ha who cares, is all I know is anywhere but here is fine with me.” She said.

 

As she was walking down the dirt road thinking to herself, her train of thought was interrupted by a loud siren coming from the castle. “Damn” she mumbled under her breath. They now know that she was missing. She blindly ran hoping that they wouldn't catch her. As she ran along she found a forest. She hesitated because it was scary looking. But it was better than going back to the castle. So she ran into the forest. All of the castle guards never thought to look through there because it was the forbidden forest.

 

When she came to a clearing she slowed down to catch her breath, not knowing that someone or something was following her. When she caught her breath she started to set up a camp. She gathered up some fire wood. And was just about to start a fire when….

 

WHAM!

 

Something had hit her. She welcomed the darkness that surrounded her, and wondered to herself, `What hit me? And what is going to happen to me?' and those were her last thoughts before passing out.
