Kagome sat under the God Tree in her time, comtemplating about the series of events that had happened just two days ago, and all in the same night.
From defeating Naraku, to falling off a cliff, only to be rescued by Sesshoumaru, who had tried to kill her on more than one occasion. But she knew he didn't do it on his own, it was because of Rin. Rin, her mind wandered back to the small girl with big pretty brown eyes and dark brown, almost black, hair that was up in a side ponytail.
Even in their short time together, Kagome felt connected to this child, who was the ward of the Western Lands, her thoughts now going to Sesshoumaru, and who supposedly hated humans, taking a human child in and caring for her.
Sighing, once again Kagome shifted her thoughts to someone else, Inuyasha. She had never told him to go away, just to sit, and then she would leave. Never once telling him to forget what they shared together, or forget ever being as one, just to sit and then she would leave. Just seeing him, embracing Kikyo, and kissing her, was just too much for her already cracked heart to take.
Of course she had seen him embrace Kikyo before, and she had seen him kiss her once, and it didn't destory her, just wore her down, and now it was reflecting. "And I thought what doesn't kill you makes you stronger." She spoke aloud to no one in particular, with a weak chuckle.
'Yet, I do seem stronger in a sense.' She thought, rising to her feet and pulling her overstuffed yellow pack with her. Finally deciding it was time to go, to face everyone, including Inuyasha.
Stepping into the well house, and walking towards the well, she stared at it for a moment. Her thoughts moving to the first time she fell, well, was pulled into the well. Quickly brushing her old memories away, she took off the spell and the lid, she had put on to make sure Inuyasha stayed on his side, she swung her legs over the side, and slipped into the well, being engulfed by the blue swirls of ancient magic.

By grabbing the green veins that grew on the sides, she hostled herself up. Taking in a deep breath of fresh air, but she stopped in mid-suck, as her eyes rested upon golden ones. "In-u-y-asha?" She questioned, thinking it was just a dream all of sudden, waiting to hear his yelling but none came.
The only thing he did was hold out his hand for her to take. Clasping her hand in his, he helped her out, then pulled her pack up. "Umm...thank you Inuyasha, but I--"
"Thought I'd be yelling and mad at you?" Inuyasha asked, a faraway look in his eyes, as they gazed at the treetops.
Kagome only nodded dumbly, wondering if he was going to speak again.
"Two days ago, when you told me to forget it, to go away, I realized that was the first time you had ever said that to me. Why? Why had you not said it before?"
Kagome bit her bottom lip, thinking. 'She couldn't tell him because of the numerous times she saw him with Kikyo wore her down, and she let her feelings mix in with her words, along with her anger.' "I'm not sure Inuyasha. It slipped out, it w-was, because I was caught in the moment. Do you understand?" She asked, looking at him, before continuing. "I was just tired Inuyasha, just tired."
"Tired of what?" Now his attention was upon her.
"I was just tired Inuyasha, and I can't really explain it at the moment." Kagome told him, refusing to look him in the eyes, all of sudden the picture of the hurt look in his eyes when she told him to go away and leave her alone, flashed through her mind. Guilt washed over her, and she felt herself being worn down more.
No, I won't break down, I have to be strong. She took in a breath. "Well, lets go, the others must be wondering what happened to you and I." She responded cheerfully, starting to pick up her bag.
"No, wait, Kagome...just...let..me.."Before she could blink, she was in Inuyasha's arms, he was embracing her, and she instantly melted into him, and hugging him back.
Then she heard him. "Just let me hold you for a moment." He whispered, tightening his arms around her gently, but firmly.
*
Silver eyes flashed to gray. "Oh no, this will not do, this will not do, no, no, not at all. The hanyou has pulled an unexpected show of emotion." The mysterious figure blinks, and looks at another creature. "I thought you told me that the hanyou was stubborn, short tempered, possessive, and closed in!!! And loved the clay figure!"
"Apparently, he hides a gentler, more caring side in his closed in shell, and it seems, he harbors feelings for both this strange young miko, and the clay prietess." The creature spoke, his aged wisdom voice holding a pondering sense to it.
The now grayed eyes, returned back to their silver shade, as the eyes turned back to the embracing pair. "We will have to work faster, and throw in something to shake things up between this two."
"Remember young one, do not break them apart, so that they are no longer friends, just break the forming bond that could be love, if a bonding of love forms, all is lost for this one." The elder creature points to another shimmering image of another person.
"But elder?" The younger creature questions.
"Yes?"
"What of the hanyou?"
"Oh, he will hurt at first but someone will come, someone will help heal his pain."
The younger creature nodded. "I do hope so, he seems so wonderful when he is like this." The creatures eyes now watching the image of Inuyasha and Kagome walking back to the village.
