Looking out the window, Kagome sighed. Another dull day passing through her life. Kagome was 27; she had raven black hair that was no longer than where her jaw line stopped. She had smoky gray eyes and this mysterious haunted look about her. Her features always seemed to always be numb; she had this cold look about her that could make anyone squirm about uncomfortably.

She had no idea why she just didn't commit suicide already, I mean no one would care or notice. "Aughhh", she put her hand over her heart for it was aching again. His face appeared in her mind and she felt the need to get rid of it. It taunted and teased her, her eyes going red, violently she took her Swiss army knife from her purse and slashed her arms deep all the way from her wrists to her shoulders, letting her rage and hurt concentrate on tearing up her flesh. Then she opened up her top right shelf on her desk and took out some tranquilizers and needles. She injected herself, and then went back to being calm and numb. Watching her blood dribble and drop to the ground, she thought of how much she loved the feeling of control she got from doing this. She had no idea why but seeing her blood a deep red color like this washing down her arm was just so relaxing and comforting to her. She licked her chapped lips and stood up. She undressed completely and stood in front of her mirror. She smirked, seeing deep gashes and scars all over her body. She went in the bathroom and made herself a bath making sure it was boiling hot. Quickly she stepped in the tub. Sliding down she winced for a second then her body finally accepted the high temperature

Her raven black hair was once long and beautiful, but now was hacked up into a very short hairdo. She liked it this way, being someone that just by her looks intimidated people. She never really felt like she belonged in this world anyway. Yeah, one time she was popular, cool and everyone seemed to like her. But she knew those people were just a bunch of idiots who wanted to be seen as cool, thinking that they'd be cool with hanging out with her. She snickered thinking of where they probably were now in life.

Kagome silently watched her blood surround her in the tub making the water look really dirty and evil, disgusting. This always seemed to be a routine of hers. She then turned her showerhead on and let the water fall on her while she still was laying down in the tub. The soothing hot drops made her drift off to sleep.

Kagome woke up in her tub, looking around she saw the time. "Shit, damn" she cursed. "Oh, great, how am I going to explain this to them now." Kagome mumbled to herself.

Quickly she slipped on the nearest clothes and got her car keys and a little duffel bag. She sped through five traffic lights; she thanked her lucky stars no one pulled her over.

When she came to her destination, two older men were waiting for her in an alleyway. "Sorry I'm late." She said fearfully, not daring to look them straight in the eyes. One of the men went over to her and stood right in front of her and looked at the duffel bag. Roughly he took her chin and forced her to look in his cold amber eyes. "You know I could kill you now, you disappoint me greatly Kagome, especially after all I do for you. Do you have what I've asked for?" he said coldly staring at her duffel bag. She looked at him, he was gorgeous, amber eyes, long silky silver hair that reached past his nice firm butt ^_-

She quietly replied, " Yes, yes I do sir."

"Good, you know I keep you for one reason, because I know that you're good at all this smuggling and hacking stuff. " without even turning towards the other man he said, " Naraku come here and take this bag, you know what to do…"

Naraku shuffled towards them with quick long paces. He had beautiful deadly dark hair that reached his waist, red crimson eyes and a muscular physique that could make any girl faint. He snatched the bag from her hands. Sesshomaru then leaned over and whispered something in his ear. Nodding Naraku got in his black mustang and drove off. Kagome watched until all she could see of him was a tiny speck, realizing that Susshomaru was still patiently waiting for her to snap her attention back to him. She looked down at the ground, avoiding his eyes, she said in a faint whisper, " Is that all you wish of me lord Sesshomaru?"

" Kagome, I've known you for a very long time, do you remember when I took you in?"

"Of course, how could I?"

*FLASHBACK*

"I HATE HIM!!!!! I HATE THEM!!!!!" she screeched. She was crying so much that she felt she was going to explode.

*Ahem*

"Hello…my name is Sesshomaru, Lord Sesshomaru you can call me. I don't mean to pry, but I happened to overhear your conversation with my brother. Your name is Kagome isn't it? Look, I know you must be hurt very badly and feel confused right now, but I would like you to work for me. I've seen your work and I'm very impressed. I could use someone like you on my side."

"I don't want to have to deal with anything or anyone that has some relation to that jerk!" she cried. She sniffled, wiping her nose with her sleeve.

"Look I don't care a fuck about my brother. For all I care he can die, I've only come here for business purposes. Anyways, some of my sources tell me about your expertise in some major fields that I deal with and I wanted to offer you a job. I noticed you've been having trouble with the law and I can help you do whatever you want without you having to worry about the police. I also know you need this job and it pays well and in cash. So what do you say?"

She just sat there not speaking or making a sound. Thinking it over in her head she thought of how this could be a good chance for her to start over. The silence between them lasted five minutes before Sesshomaru started to get impatient.

"This is probably not the best time to speak to you, but if you change your mind here is my card." He laid it on the ground right where she was kneeling down. Then swiftly walked away swaying his hips mesmerizingly.

*End of flashback*
