I stood there panting as Naraku called Kagura away, she was useless until she had healed and I watched her go before the puppet stepped forward.
“Not bad for a female, I am impressed,” he chuckled and I watched as six more puppets appeared, three to each side of the one I was facing. My eyes widened as they all chuckled. “I am sorry Lady Kimendenshin, but Sesshoumaru must not survive this experience.” I felt my eyes glow blue and I tightened my grip on Tokijinn.
“And I am sorry, Naraku, but my Lord, Sesshoumaru, will,” I snarled as I launched myself at my opponents.

Inu Yasha and Sesshoumaru both stiffed as the Ancient coughed, in that moment the reeking scent of Naraku filled their sinuses and they both looked at each other before they felt the hands of the Ancient on their shoulders.
“Do not move, either of you, we still have an hour before it is done,” he stated.
“How am I suppose to sit here when my best warrior is engaging in battle with my worst enemy?” Sesshoumaru snarled and the Ancient smirked.
“That girl is filled with fire, she will last another hour at least, then you can rush out and save her,” he chuckled as he patted their shoulders. “Until then, concentrate on the healing, soon you will both be fine.” Inu Yasha saw the look of aggravation on his brother's face and smirked, Sesshoumaru would never ask what he really wanted right now.
“Can you at least take down the barrier so we can know how she's doing?” Inu Yasha asked and Sesshoumaru stared at his brother. The Ancient looked at the sky and nodded.
“Alright, but if you two start getting antsy it's going right back up,” he stated and the scent of Kimendenshin's battle with the Naraku puppet played on the two brothers' noses. The Ancient was checking on the humans and Sesshoumaru looked away.
“Thank you, Inu Yasha,” he whispered and Inu Yasha smirked.
“Now you owe me two,” he chuckled and Sesshoumaru regarded his younger half-sibling.
“No, I only `owe' you one, seeing as you are saving my life for the one you `owe' Kimen…denshin,” Sesshoumaru stated. He raised his nose, scenting the air.
“She's hurt,” Inu Yasha stated and Sesshoumaru's eyes darkened.
“It has been a long time since I last smelt her blood spilt,” Sesshoumaru commented. “She must be weary, I have never known her to fight this long alone.” Inu Yasha's eyes widened.
“You mean…she's never done this before?” Inu Yasha asked and Sesshoumaru nodded.
“She's always had her troops or been with me, never has she done this. Perhaps she has Kitsune Madness,” he muttered. Inu Yasha stiffened as the scent of blood thickened and Sesshoumaru growled.
“That's enough then,” the Ancient growled. “If you can smell anything else after my barrier is back up then you may go to her, not before.” The scent was gone, but it was very definitely Kimendenshin's blood…and a lot.

I snarled as I dodged the tentacles, holding the wound at my side shut before finally destroying another puppet. Two down, five to go. I growled, panting openly as I glared at the five tentacled monsters that surrounded me, forcing me to jump and flit between strikes, it was far harder than anything I had been through in quite some time. I looked at the horizon, the sun was just below the horizon and I roared as I sliced through a tentacle before flitting through another oncoming attack.
“I will rip the Western Lands apart!” Naraku roared and I smirked as I began slicing.
“I don't sense you here, Naraku, how will you be doing that if you are not even close to the Western Lands and you still haven't defeated me?” I laughed as I raced through the tentacles. I smirked as I thought about my Lord, he would have destroyed all of these already. He was powerful, I could only hope I kept them at bay.

Sesshoumaru was twitching as he sat, his eyes on the sky, his muscles tensing as he stared.
“She'll be fine,” Inu Yasha stated and Sesshoumaru growled.
“Of course she will! She is my right hand!” the youkai snapped as he watched the light brighten and the scent of Kimendenshin hit his nose. Sesshoumaru snarled in rage.
“It is done, Lord Sesshoumaru of the Western Lands has been revived!” the Ancient cried and the two brothers stood and ripped their hands free before Sesshoumaru leapt over the wall, standing on the walls of his fortress to see the most horrifying thing in his life.
Kimendenshin, his beautiful companion, his right hand, his greatest general, his best friend, was surrounded by five golems, her armor was cracked, blood soaking through her clothing to allow him to guess her right side had been grazed. Her long hair was down, flying around her. Her left leg was obviously injured from the way she was favoring the right.
Then she looked up, her beautiful face marred by the black scars his aunt had left across that perfect face. Even with the scars the look that graced her face when she saw him was different. Full of emotion, she had not shown that much emotion since they were pups. That look of adoration, relief, and…could it be…love, time stopped.
The wind behind her blew her black mane, making it seem to reach for him as she smiled, it had been far too long since she smiled like that. The look in those lovely eyes, it was too much, Sesshoumaru could not understand this feeling building in his chest.
“My Lord,” even across the battlefield her voice carried with such a surge of emotion, Sesshoumaru thought for sure he was going to be blasted away. “My Sesshou lives.” With that she leapt from tentacle to tentacle, heaving his sword to him, leaving her with only her claws and natural defenses, but against Naraku's golems… Sesshoumaru's heart pounded as the world moved in slow motion.
“Get me Tenseiga!” he roared as he leapt towards the battle, catching Tokijinn, watching as she twirled, her acid claws ripping through the attacking tentacles. Then the eighth golem appeared. Sesshoumaru watched in horror as she was struck, then again, and again, from all sides. The snap of bone, the howl of agony, never had such a sound escaped his retainer, his vision boiled to red as her body flew past him. He didn't dare follow the path of her flight, instead, the youkai Lord of the Western Lands, destroyed two golems with one blow. He ducked and moved with amazing grace.
“Sesshoumaru! Get out of the way!” Inu Yasha's voice cried and the Lord flew back to where his compatriot had fallen.
Inu Yasha appeared over the side of the wall, Tetsusaiga raised and roaring as he brought it down. The fire of the Wind Scar ripped through the field, demolishing the golems and the wave of youkai that rose behind them, leaving behind only a wake of destruction. Inu Yasha landed and began to inspect the area, taking care of anything that survived the battle.
Kagome, Sango, and Miroku raced from the red doors of the fortress, Kagome carrying Tenseiga as she looked for the youkai Lord. When they spotted him they froze. Sesshoumaru was kneeling over Kimendenshin's body, she lay in a curled position on her side. Her hair covered her face, her arms out in front of her, drenched in blood, even from where they stood, her claws were chipped and a few were missing. The way her left leg was bend, it spoke of the fractures, blood staining a few areas meant the bone had actually broken through the skin. Sesshoumaru slowly moved her onto her back, brushing her hair out of her face as he gazed down at her. Blood leaked from the corners of her mouth as her breath came in shuttering gasps. More blood dripped from her lips as she gasped, indicated her ribs had punctured her lungs. They couldn't see Sesshoumaru's face beneath his white mane but the gentle movement so that Kimendenshin's upper body rested on his bent legs, placing her head in his lap, so slow and gentle were the movements. None of the humans could guess what he was thinking as Inu Yasha came up behind them.
Slowly, Sesshoumaru's hand stroked the cheek of his fallen friend. Eyes twitched and slowly opened halfway. The bright blue was clouded as it gazed up and slowly a look of strong love shone through.
“My…my Lord…” she gasped, coughing lightly as she looked at him, a beautiful smile crossing her face as she gazed at him. “….my Sesshou…you…you are….restored…” The blood increased from her mouth.
“Yes, my Kimen, I am restored thanks to you,” he stated and the woman smiled, her teeth red with her blood.
“You…you…need not….thank me….my Lord…” she muttered, the tears in her eyes expressed how much she felt for him. “…I…wou…wouldn't rest…unless you…you were….safe…” Sesshoumaru gently stroked her face, his fingers tracing her scars.
“You should not have held this from me,” he stated as he stroked her face.
“It…was….a…a reminder…” she said, closing her eyes and pressing into his caress.
“You didn't fail, you did not need a reminder of that wench,” he stated, running his fingers through her hair. Her eyes opened slightly to gaze at him.
“Not…that…a….a reminder….that….that…a wretch…cannot….cannot…” she shook her head. “…beautiful things….are…are not for me…” she reached out, cupping his cheek. “…you….you are…forever….beyond….be….beyond…my….gra ….gra….grasp.” Her body contracted and her hand fell from his face. He looked at her a moment before closing her eyes.
Sesshoumaru stood up and looked at the humans, tears running down his cheeks as he took his sword from Kagome, quickly slicing through Kimenedenshin. Her body arched and the youki from her body rose, roaring around her before slamming back into her body. Her eyes flew open and she screamed before her body transformed. The creature before them was strong and powerful, but the shape was that of a kitsune. The creature roared again before becoming a ball of light and landing. Kimendenshin stood there fully restored, even the scars across her face gone, and looked towards the group. She took a few steps and smiled before fainting.
She fell right into Sesshoumaru's open arms. He lifted her, bridal style, before looking at the group of shard hunters. He headed towards the red doors where his soldiers where howling in victory.
“Inu Yasha, are you and your companions going to just stand there all day or are you going to come inside?” with that the youkai Lord entered his fortress and was slowly followed by his half brother and his companions.

I felt the cool rag on my forehead and mumbled as I shook my head, turning away from the presence. A hand forced me back onto my back and I growled, there was a chuckle and I growled more. The rag was replaced and I sighed, it did feel good. I opened my eyes but the light caused me to cringe and whine, throwing an arm over my eyes and sighing before trying to roll over again.
As before the hand forced me onto my back and I covered my eyes with a hand and opened my eyes, allowing them to adjust before I blinked a few times. A silhouette blocked the light of the overhead lamp and I felt the tickle of long hair across my forehead and neck. It felt like silk and I closed my eyes, taking in the musky scent that always spoke of `male' to me. I inhaled that aroma, savoring it like it was a fine meal. I opened my eyes again and looked at him, as he returned to his vigil. He was dressed in his normal attire and I stared at him as he looked at me.
“You died,” he stated and I smirked before closing my eyes and resting on my futon.
“I told you, I would go before you,” I stated calmly. “I never break my word.”
“You disobeyed me,” he stated and I chuckled.
“I did?” I asked opening an eye to see his mask was in place. “Oh yes, I played with your sword, come, Sesshou, my need was reasonable and I didn't hurt it, I even returned it to you when you were restored.” There was a growl and my eyes widened as he appeared above me, his hands around my wrist holding them down. His face was right above mine, his fangs bared.
“You died!” he snarled and my eyes widened at the sight of a tear leaking from my beloved Lord's eyes. “It hurt.” I blinked at that, surrounded by the curtain of his hair, staring into his pain filled eyes.
“It…caused you pain?” I asked, unable to believe what I was hearing. Nothing caused him pain, not since the death of his father had he told me of any pain. Even when his severed limb ached with the phantom afflictions, he didn't even seem pained.
“To think you were gone…it hurt, I can barely remember how badly it hurt when Father died, but this was closer to the pain of Mother's passing,” he whispered as he wrapped his arms around me. We rolled a few times across the futon. My legs rested over his, his arms holding me to him tightly as his head rested under my chin. “I never wish to lose you.” I did the first thing I could think of, I reached up and began to rub the backs of his ears, when he was stressed he would always tuck a lock of hair behind his ear, I knew he did it to rub the back of them. Gently I stroked the back of each ear, running my fingers over the sensitive tips, tracing them down before running my claws lightly over the back of them. He sighed against me, holding me still, but not as tight. The scent of his relaxation and his ever present musk began to sooth me and I closed my eyes, stroking his ears as he held me, it was like a dream. Slowly the rumble began in my chest and I felt him nuzzle closer.
“I have truly missed that sound,” he stated and I sighed, continuing the purr. I let one hand continue to stroke his ear while the other stroked his hair.
“But, my Lord, I thought it was considered a weakness,” I teased and he huffed against my neck.
“It was a weakness then, it is not now,” he stated and I couldn't help but laugh as I closed my eyes.
“I wish I could freeze time,” I stated, the warmth of his breath washing over my throat. “I would remain here for all eternity.” He looked up at me, but I left my eyes closed.
“You wish to stay in this Sesshoumaru's arms?” he asked and I opened my eyes at the use of third person, I looked into his golden pools.
“I have remained at your side for nearly a century, but never do I feel more…protected…than in your arms,” I whispered and he looked at me.
“What were you going to say?” he asked, slowly rolling over me, pressing me to my back as he covered me, his hair curtaining us as our noses brushes, a shock went down my spine and back up. I stared into those burning pools, memories of our childhood together, his wrestling with me for dominance, holding me down while I pretended to fight, knowing it made him feel more masculine to win quickly. I stared at him, it was almost like that, his hovering above me. This time, it was complete surrender.
“Loved…I was going to say loved,” I whispered and his eyes softened before the hot caress of his lips against mine caused my heart to skip a beat.

The Inu group sat beside the koi pond watching Rin and Shippo play, it was quite cute. There was a silence as the four travelers looked from the children to each other.
“Why do you suppose she passed out?” Kagome asked, looking at Inu Yasha and he shrugged.
“Keh, like I'd know,” he stated. “She better hold her part of the agreement still.” Miroku's staff landed on his skull with an audible thud. “What was that for?” Miroku sat there and looked at his hanyou friend.
“She protected everyone in this fortress at the cost of her life. If Sesshoumaru did not have Tenseiga she would be dead right now. You should be glad she was able to hold back that army long enough for the ceremony to complete,” Miroku stated before looking at Kagome. “As to why she passed out, I may have a theory. When we die, our souls leave, with youkai their youki is released, when she was returned to life her body went through a tremendous burst of youki. I believe the strain of the return mixed with the obvious relief at Sesshoumaru's revival was enough to cause Kimendenshi to lose consciousness.” The group sighed before there was a rancid scent in the air, all four humans turned to see several of the inu youkai soldiers carrying various heads up to the tall peaks. Preparing to hang them from the battlements as a sign to others that dare attack the Fortress of the Western Lands. Kagome got up and quickly headed over to one of the soldiers.
“Excuse me, excuse me, but we were worried about Lady Kimendenshin, the general was taken away this morning and we are concerned about her health,” she stated as she bowed and the soldiers stopped for a moment. They looked at each other before one stepped forward and bowed to Kagome.
“Lady Miko, the General is resting, Lord Sesshoumaru himself stated he would not leave her side until she was fully recovered. It might be easier to find out her welfare by asking one of the servants,” he stated and pointed to a particular toad that was being tortured by two children. “Good day, Lady Miko.” Kagome smiled.
“Thank you,” she said before walking over to where Shippo was making Jaken dance with well aimed bursts of foxfire.

I looked at my Lord, shocked, pleased, and somewhat horrified before shoving him out of my futon, remember who I was. I blushed as I looked away from him, hiding beneath my hair, my head bowed before him.
“My Lord, do not soil yourself with me,” I stated, my eyes on his feet. How could I have said what I did, done what I did like I was no more than a penniless geisha? My shame grew on me, tempting my Lord and best friend in such a manner.
A hand caught my chin and forced my face up to look at him. His golden eyes moved over my face, taking in everything like he had never seen me before. He knelt on my futon in front of me, gently placing my hair behind my ears so he could see my face clearly. He stroked my cheeks and I closed my eyes, torn between my heart and my duty.
“Soil myself, this Sesshoumaru cannot soil himself with you,” he whispered, his face so close I could feel his breath over my cheeks. “You are my one constant, not Jaken, not my parents, nothing in my life has been there as you have. You are the one this Sesshoumaru wishes to spend eternity with.” My eyes opened wide as his lips pressed against mine, this time I could feel the lust, love, and passion moving through his lips to me. I shivered beneath his touch and I fought the urge to sob with pleasure.
“My Lord…” I started to whisper when he pulled away but he kissed me again, ripping the words from my mouth, making my mind scream in joy and pleasure.
“Kimendenshin, how loyal are you to me?” he whispered, his lips moving up and down my neck.
“I would give anything for you, my Lord,” I whispered as I felt his body press mine down into my futon.
“Would you obey any order I gave you?” he asked, nipping at my collarbone, making my whole body shiver in pleasure.
“Yes…” I gasped, unable to add his title.
“Become my Lady, bear me my heirs, stand by my side forever,” he whispered, his nose nudging my robe over so his tongue and lips caressed the meeting of my neck to my shoulder.
“I will gladly follow your orders, my Love,” I whispered huskily and then his teeth pierced my skin, digging deep into my shoulder, marking me as his. His tongue healing his claiming mark, entwining his scent to me for the rest of my days.
“Tonight I will formally announce it, courting you as all Ladies of the West have been courted, in one moon cycle you will be my mate, my wife, my only,” he growled, the scent of his arousal filling my nose, telling me how much he wanted me and how much he respected me by allowing all to know his intentions before taking me.
“One moon cycle's time, my Lord,” I stated, staring at him as he pulled back, leaving my room.
