For The Love Of Him
Disclaimer: I don't own Inuyasha.
Note: I'm on a roll tonight hopefully. I should be working on Inu Hakusho as I said in Yukina's Birthday Surprise, but anyway.
“Mama! Mom where are you?!” a woman called. “I'm in here dear” the other woman called. Kagome folded her last bit of clothing and turned to her daughter. Her daughter had just graduated and was applying for Tokyo University. She was a spitting image of herself, blue eyes, and long black hair that fell in waves. Kagome looked up and noticed her daughter's distress and rushed over to hug her. “Josei, what's the matter dear?” she asked. Josei sat down on the sofa, as did Kagome. “Momma were you ever in love?” Kagome looked at her daughter curiously but nodded, how could she ever forget Inuyasha. “Have you ever been in love with two men before?” her daughter asked avoiding her eyes. Kagome's hand reached up and brushed away the bangs shielding her daughter's eyes. “Yes, I have dear. There was one man I loved more that anything but I couldn't have him. I came here dated Hojo and we got married” she told her. “Do you… do you still love him?” Josei asked. Kagome got a far away look in her eyes and answered. “I do. I love him more than anything, more than your father. I always will” she answered. “What happened to him mama?” Josei asked. “That my girl is a story for another day.” “What do you propose I do mom, I love them both, but sometimes I'm happier with the other one?” Kagome wasted no time and pulled her daughter in an embrace. “Follow your heart. It will guide the way. That's all the advice I can give you” she replied. Josei smiled her thanks, and left. Kagome stood up and went to the bay window at the back of their house. Lifting her hand she traced her fingers against the glass, outlining the stars. “Ai shiteru Inuyasha. Where ever you are” she whispered, then turned upstairs heading for bed.
Owari.
Note: Short yes, but it came to my head and wouldn't shut up. Josei means school-girl, and ai shiteru means I love you. I hoped you enjoyed it. Read, review, flame do what you must. Ja-ne!
