Rin's vision slowly started to become brighter from it's pitch black beginning. The bright light of the sun shined on her, and she opened her eyes. Staring back at her were a pair of old wrinkly eyes, that decided to get a little closer. The surprise struck Rin who screamed, which startled the eyes.

"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

"AAAAAHHHHH"

"AAAAAHHHHH"

"AAAHHH!"

"AAAHHH!" Rin flung out her hands, and she pushed the object in front of her away. It was then when she got a clear view, that she realized it was the train's conductor Myouga. Rin sat back against something and sighed. Myouga out of the train? Sat back against something? Rin's mind started to replay the crash and the crates flying towards her. She scrambled to her feet, and turned swiftly so that she saw she was leaning up against the train, lying sideways, half of it hanging off the track. Rin clasped her hands to her head and backed up, at a loss for words.

"Oh my god! What the fuck happened to the train," she marched over to Myouga and grabbed his collar roughly, "I want answers old man and I want them now!" she screamed. Myouga grabbed her wrist, and took them off his collar.

"Well if you want to know you little punk, ask nicely! But, since you have a right to know-something flew in front of the train and I slammed on the brakes. The train was going so fast it served and flew off the railing. Lucky for us, we were able to get on the tracks about 214 feet down a hill. The train stopped sideways and here we are."

"So we rolled down a 214 mile long hill and we're still alive?"

"Yes, well we are the only survivors kid. The passengers were locked in I couldn't save them. I jumped out, and you two fell out. Kouga helped me carry you down here so you should be thanking me."

"You mean we're the only ones here? Did you happen to see a girl-er guy about an inch shorter than Kouga with gray overalls and a trucker hat on backwards?"

"Sorry kid. Only us three." Myouga rested his hand on her shoulder before walking up to the train. Rin spotted Kouga sitting on the bottom of the hill looking sober and angry.

"Hey Kouga, are you okay?"

"I'm never gonna find my sister am I?" Rin tried to smile, but instead she sat down next to him and pulled him into a sisterly hug.

"Kouga we may just have met, but you have my word that I will reunite you and Sango."

"And you have mine that I will help you find your friend Kagome."

"Thanks a lot." Rin let him go and dug inside her pocket. She pulled out her map and spread it out in front of them.

"This is where we're going," she pointed to South Tokyo Port, " and this is where Sango is." She pointed to Tokyo all smiles until she realized that she was off track.

"Hey Myouga? Where are we?" she yelled to the conductor.

"I think we're about 13 miles from Miytoko Village." He answered back. Rin frantically scanned the map until she spotted Miytoko city.

"No fuckin' way."

"What's wrong Rin?" Kouga scooted closer so that he could see Miytoko Village. Rin pointed to the village, then to her destination.

"We are almost across the map from South Tokyo Port! And what's more, it's in a fuckin forest! Geezus! How the hell am I supposed to get there in three days!?" Rin buried her head in her hands and let the tears flow freely. Kouga wrapped his arms around her waist and rested his head on her shoulder.

"Don't worry I'll take care of you."

Myouga threw more logs into the fire just as Rin woke up from her bad dream of Kagome screaming and crying. To her surprise, she woke up with her head on Kouga's lap but didn't move an inch.

"I see ur up girlie. Yes, I found out. It's okay, ur too pretty to hide ur face." Myouga grinned at Rin who straightened herself out and smiled back.

"Listen Myouga, I'm sorry about my attitude earlier. I just had a hard time dealing with the fact that we were lost."

"Well I've got good news for ya then. We're not lost anymore! I ran into Ms. Kijo a while ago and once you woke up she planned to take us to her village where we can collect ourselves." Out of the darkness not touched by the light of the fire, an old woman stepped into the light. Rin was taken aback by the women's face. It was wrinkled to the point where you could use it as a purse, her gray hair was hidden under a hat and she wore sunglasses to cover her eyes. Her nose was long and pointed and she looked like she needed a really good shave, but the thing that was even worse was the bright red lipstick she had on that looked like she had had that on for years. All in all she wasn't the most beautiful thing to look at.

"My name, as Myouga has told you, is Kijo, but you can call me Kijo. I was in the neighborhood and saw the fire. Lucky for you youngsters Myouga was on his way to my village. I ran into him and he led me back here." Her voice was high-pitched and rough. It sent chills up Rin's spine and she got closer to Kouga who read her body language.

"It's okay, I'll protect you." He whispered. Myouga grabbed a dark blue duffle bag he packed and slung it over his shoulder.

"C'mon kids, we're hittin' the road." Myouga was about to put out the fire by pouring water on it, but Kijo suddenly put up her hands and the fire disappeared.

"I'm a witch doctor." She explained. Myouga shrugged it off, but Rin and Kouga stared at the woman cautiously.

"Let's go." She motioned for them to follow her and they began their long walk through the woods. Rin clutched to Kouga's arm the entire time. It was a good thing they were almost the same height because Rin never wanted to let go. Kouga had a good grip on her too as they walked through the eerie darkness of the forest. Every so once in a while kijo would look back to check for them, and her eyes would gleam and shine. It scared the living hell out of both of them.

"I don't trust her." Rin whispered Kouga.

"Neither do I, but it would be the smart thing to do if we just didn't argue with her."

"Thanks for helping me out earlier Kouga."

"I couldn't leave you hangin' Rin." They looked at each other and found themselves lost. Slowly, they lost reality and stopped moving, unaware that their group was moving farther ahead. Kouga cupped Rin's face and brought her up to him where their lips met in a passionate kiss. Rin felt his hands snake to her waist and she helped out by moving in closer to his body. Her tongue pushed his teeth until they opened and invited her in. The moment was about to heat up when she heard a moan escape her lips and she had to take a step back.

"I am so sorry Kohaku! I'm usually not like this! I'm so sorry, I'll never do it again." She clasped her hand over her mouth and tried not to look at him. Kohaku put his arm around her waist again and pulled her close.

"That's too bad because I was hoping you would." Rin couldn't help but blush at the comment.

"What a minute? Where's Kijo and Myouga?!" Rin broke from his grasp, much to her regret and looked around in hope she might see them.

"Well, I'd say we're alone, so why don't you just calm down and concentrate and where your tongue should go.

"Kohaku!" Rin was cut off by the former kiss she didn't finish. But even as her tongue was exploring Kouga's wonderful mouth, she felt as if something were wrong about it so she decided to get as much as she could before breaking it off for good.
