Foretelling
People told me when I was born my mother kept her eyes closed; even than she would not cry out, though my birth was said to difficult, to much labor and too much blood. Nearly the end of her, it was rumored.
No wonder Hokage was cold. No wonder her hair was so black the ravens were jealous.
No wonder she looked away whenever I passed by.
My own mother whose blood ran through me, whom I was to follow onto the throne of bones and river rocks, never touched me. That is how I came to believe I was only sorrow, only rain, and that there was nothing more inside me.
But therewas a voice beyond my mother's silence.
I was an outcast of my village because I wasn't human; they believed me a curse, trash. And so I was treated like one. I was the slave of the village and so I knew sorrow and pain like no other.
By the time I was 9 I left the village I swore I would become strong and I would let no other hurt me again. And so I traveled from place to place learning all they had to teach me.
