The short chapter; chapter 3…kagome

 

 

“Why is he still here?” kagome questioned as Kaede and her as well as a grumpy

 

 

Inuyasha sat around a burning fire in lady Kaede's hut. “I want the jewel stupid” he

 

retorted back without even looking at her. *asswhole…* “oh well I was wondering, why

 

do you need the jewel Inuyasha? You seem plenty strong to me.” Kagome asked not

 

 

 

being able to hide her question with sarcasm. Instead of Inuyasha answering it was lady

 

Kaede who did. “Ah child you know it not but Inuyasha here is but a mere half demon

 

and wishes to use the jewel to become a full one.” Kaede said slowly. Kagome nodded to

 

show she should go on but Inuyasha's fist hitting the wood floor made her look over at

 

the steaming half demon. “Who are you, to be talking like you know me” Inuyasha

 

demanded to be told. “You do not remember? Well, I am lady Kaede Kikyo's younger

 

sister.” Kaede said some sadness creeping into her voice. “The brat…time has done its

 

damage, glad I don't have to worry about getting old, or at least for now anyway.”

 

Inuyasha replied “since you're so old Kikyo must be ancient.” Inuyasha continues a small

 

smile on his face. “My sister is dead Inuyasha; she died the same day as you.” Lady

 

Kaede said looking into the fire. At first Inuyasha was silent *** she's dead…*** “well

 

good” he said out loud. “Inuyasha! Have some compassion, it's her sister, you cold

 

hearted buffoon!” kagome shouted angrily *he might be cute but he is such an arrogant

 

fool!* kagome thought as she looked at him in anger. *** She's cute when she's angry,

 

those red checks… arg stupid mind! *** Inuyasha physically hit his head to clear it and

 

earned a quizzical look from kags. “What!” he said annoyed at the stare, he got up and

 

left the hut. “Tell me more about this half demon thing” kags said to lady Kaede. “Well

 

Inuyasha's father was a great inu demon powerful and strong but he ended up falling for

 

a mere mortal, Inuyasha's mother. She was a very pretty woman and a jem at heart. She

 

loved Inuyasha like he was the world. He wasn't accepted though, a half demon half

 

human never truly fitting in. so when Inuyasha's mom passed away he was devastated

 

and alone. I believe he thinks that by gaining the power of the jewel and using it to

 

become full demon he can erase his pain and finally be accepted.” Kaede finished and

 

looked u at the girl. Kagome's face surprised her; she was showing a face of care and

 

concern even understanding for the hanyo who had tried to kill her. ** What a wondrous child**.

 

 

Kagome left to go look for Inuyasha; she heard his story and felt for him. Although she

 

wasn't physically different she was never accepted till recently. She was always the

 

outcast till this year at her new school, she had gotten her braces off her skin cleared and

 

she shed weight to get perfect curves in all the right places. She even had Hojo, the most

 

popular guy at her new school, crushing on her. She wasn't interested though, she didn't

 

like him as more then a friend although she has no idea why. She came to a large tree

 

without leaves and long separated branches to high for any normal human to reach.

 

There in the lowest branch about 35ft off the ground sat a red dressed half demon with

 

silver hair shining down surrounding him sweetly, he appeared to be asleep. His eyes

 

were closed; his beautiful golden orbs were sealed behind small but long black eyelashes.

 

He looked so peaceful…*wow this a different side of his mean attitude, not that I mind

 

that either, me and souta are always fighting in a brotherly sisterly way so im pretty

 

tough and can handle myself!* she stared a little longer before gently calling his name,

 

“Inuyasha…Inuyasha I know you can hear me… please wake up” she whispered up to

 

him letting the wind carry her voice. He stirred and slowly opened his eyes blinking the

 

sleep out of those golden rays of perfection *god those eyes get me every time*

 

 

“what do you want bitch” he spat out once he realized she was looking at him from the

 

ground.*** wow he eyes are so pre- eww never mind I have got to focus…arg!***

 

“humph, you don't have to be so mean I just wanted to share some lunch you puppy” she

 

said the anger rising back in it. “Why would I have lunch with a smelly wench like you!”

 

he spat back also getting irritated. Who was she to disturb his slumber! *** Although I

 

lied, she smells really really really really really really really really really really really

 

really really really really really really really nice…*** “god puppy, you really are mean

 

and all I have to say is `sit' boy to ge-” kagome started to say but stopped as Inuyasha

 

dropped out of the tree and into the ground at the word sit. “Oh my gosh im so sorry” she

 

said gushing over him. *I didn't mean to hurt him* she ran over as he flipped himself

 

over onto his back. She ran over say cross legged and sat his head in her lap. *I can just

 

imagine how much that hurt, he fell from so far up at least 35 feet maybe more… stupid

 

self!* she thought mentally beating herself up. *** She smells so good I could just stay

 

here forev- I have to get up! *** “oww what was that for, wench” he said weakly. He

 

realized as he tried to get up he couldn't. There was a strong pain around his back area.

 

***damn*** he laid his head back down on the soft cushion, kagome's lap.

 

 

After a while his pain stopped but he didn't immediately get up. They just sat there quietly both lost in thought but were enjoying it just the same. He decided it was time to go when the sun went down and the dark night crept up. “Thanks kagome” he said gruffly as he slowly got up and straightened his clothes. “Umm…you're welcome” she said surprised.*I wasn't expecting a thank you…from him…* “yeah well it was your fault anyway…” he started with his big mouth again. Suddenly she smiled really wide and walked off toward lady kaede's hut. “Wait…kagome…wench where are you going” Inuyasha yelled after her but she just kept going with the same triumphant grin. *he finally called me by my name…*
