Chapter 3~ Forever Pain Revealed!

~~~Mrs. Lia Goten (dont know Kagome's moms name sowwy), once Mrs Lia Hiragashi sat in her attice cleaning things out, getting rid of things that they did not need. It had been a long time since she had went threw these things, not ever since Kagome and Rin had moved out almost two years ago right after Kagome graduated. The house she and her new husband lived in was a small home with two bedrooms, a small living room and small kitchen, but it was cozy and they loved it. Both she and her husband worked hard to live in the not upscale neighborhood, but a well respected and quiet one that they really enjoyed. She smiled as she thought about how Kagome and Rin had reacted to when she first met Jingo. They had not liked him at all, they had given him hell and he had given it right back. He didnt yell at them or hit like thier father had, but he had been strict and had layed down alot of rules the girls had not been happy with. Lia admitted that after she had divorced thier father, she had spoiled her girls and hardly if ever reprimanded them. She felt guilty for all the times she had let them suffer while she had refused to leave her abusive first husband. So when she had met Jingo three years after her divorce the girls had not been happy. They didnt trust him not to hurt her, but they also didnt like him coming in and taking over, as they put it. He set curfews, didnt let them leave the house if homework and chores were not done. Basic stuff but things the girls had started to take advantage of. It had taken awhile, but they had come around and started to think of him as thier real father as he thought of them as his daughter. He was a good man and Lia was lucky to have found her one true soul mate at last. She just hoped her girls would soon. She didnt worry about Kagome so much, she was more leveled headed and took things in stride. She was smart and had a good head on her shoulders.

~~~Lia was more concerned about her rebelious younger daughter Rin. She was flashy and sought out attention and usually dated lots of men Lia and Jingo didnt thing suitable for her. And that scared her. She didnt want Rin to meet a man just like her father had been. But she was glad that both her daughter had come out of all that mess fairly rounded and good. Scarred but she didnt think too deep, well maybe more deeper with Rin, but she was fairly sure Kagome was ok now. Or so she thought. As she went threw boxes, she came across one of Kagome's old school book ones. It was mainly filled with notepads and old texts and graded papers. Kagome was always smart, but she had been a bit rebelious when she was younger and Jingo had come into thier lives, and had ditched alot of school. It was lucky that alot of her teachers knew that she was bright and she always scored highly on the national unified school tests. (something like SAT'S, ok like SAT'S but I dont know what or if they have them in Japan) Those test had proven that she had an amazingly high IQ and let her barely squeak by and graduate, but it hadnt been enough for college, which Lia had been sorry for. She had wanted so much more for her daughters than she had ever had.

~~~As she looked threw the box to see if she saw anything Kagome might want before she tossed it out, she lightly scanned one of her notebooks from her senior year. She was just skimming it when she came across something the caught her eye. It was a poem. It was in Kagome's handwriting and it was dated the night she had moved out of thier house to her own apartment a little less than a year and a half ago. Lia decided to read it, she knew Kagome had a habit of writing her feelings out in poetry or journals.

"Forever Pain"

Forever Pain is how Im meant to feel

Forever Pain is the scars that just wont heal

Forever Pain is what I cant seem to escape

Forever Pain will be my eternal fate

Forever Pain my heart does cry

Forever Pain that will just not die

Forever Pain is the darkest abyss

Forever Pain is something I cant seem to dismiss

Forever Pain is a constant companion by my side

Forever Pain is what I most despratly try to hide

Forever Pain burns in my soul, in an all consuming fire

Forever Pain was never my hearts desire

But Forever Pain Im affraid I will always feel

For my Forever Pain refuses to let go and just heal

So in Forever Pain I will always be

Till time finally ends and my Forever Pain dies with me.

~~~By the time Lia had finished reading the poem she had tears running down her eyes and her heart ached. She had never known Kagome still felt such pain. Oh my Gods she thought. Ive been soo concerned over Rin that I never bothered to think that deep inside my other little girl was still hurting. Kagome had always held her self together and always seemed to have a ready smile, that Lia had just thought she had healed better than her younger sister. How wrong she had been. Her baby girl was still suffering and Lia had never noticed or gave any special attention to the silent cries her heart and soul cried out for. The hurt and pain for her daughter was great, the guilt greater. She wanted to run to her daughter and hold her and make all her hurts go away. It was while she sat there crying, hugging the notebook to her chest that Jingo found her. After asking what was wrong Lia had explained what she found, read it and then started crying again. If Jingo hadnt held her and comforted her she might of did just what her mind was telling her to.

"Lia my love you cant go to Kagome and make her pain go away..as much as I wish and want it to be true, this is something that she and Rin will have to get threw on thier own..and if you go down there now after reading her poem she will know and not be happy that you read something that was private, meant for her eyes only, if she had wanted you to see it she would of shown it to you my love..you just have to let her find her own path in life, and all we can do is be there for our daughters when and if they come to us..till then we have to let them grow on thier own." he explained as he held his wife and hurt inside for his daughters as well No one would ever make him believe that the two girls he had adopted where not his. He loved them with all his heart.

"I hate this soooooooo much you guys...I dont like lying to people, especially someone as sweet as Kagome seems to be." Kyoto said as she sat in a chair across from her brothers who sat on the huge couch in Sess's penthouse suite. She had gone there and checked in with them, before she went back to her cute little apartment that she truelly liked, to get ready for her outing with Kagome.

"Besides I truelly dont think Kagome has anything to do with the leak in the company, I think her only fault is that she got involved with an ass like Hojo." Kyoto added scrunching up her nose in distate as the mention of the guys name. He really was a creep.

"We already went threw this Kyoto...Kagome may very well be innocent in this all, but we have to make sure, you know I do not like coincedences..and for Kagome to have been seeing Hojo at the same time our secrets were being stolen is a bit odd, not to mention that she is an old friend of Kikyo, whos sister to Naraku, who happens to be one of the higher ranking associates at Hakashi Incorporated." Sesshoumaru explained yet again. He knew Kyoto didnt like decieving people and he abhored using his own baby sister to get close to this Kagome, espcially if she was involved with all this mess. But in case she wasnt, she knew Kyoto would be the best one to handle things with the young woman.

"Feh get over it Kyoto we do what we gotta do..I mean come on..she ends up as Hojo's whore and shes also long time friends with Kikyo and Naraku..it just seems to coincidental for my taste." Inuyasha said smugly. Ok so he wasnt at all as confident of it as he made it seem, but they needed to know. If this continued then his families future was at stake, including Kyoto's and he wouldnt allow anyone, not even a pretty piece of flesh like Kagome Hiragashi. Ya he had noticed how cute she was, but if she chose someone like Hojo then he didnt think she was at all too bright, or if anything had no taste in guys. But it didnt mean he hadnt looked at her from afar when checking her out before all this came into play.

"What ever but I swear you two better let me handle this..because if you two hurt her with out good reason I swear I will make you to soooooo very sorry..shes nice and if she has nothing to do with this I want to remain friends with her and I wont let you two hurt her." Kyoto replied defensivly.

"Why are you so protective of her Kyoto? Not like you know her or anything..I mean fuck you just met her today." Inuyasha asked.

"Because yesterday..she was normal, last night Hojo shows up..this morning shes sporting a huge shiner and busted lip...I dont care what you guys say..I feel it in my gut that shes innocent and I hate that shes being hurt..especially by that asshole." Kyoto replied, and she saw the looks in both her brothers amber eyes. They did not like it when men hurt women, it was wrong, men did not hurt women, they did not use thier stronger bodies to hurt those smaller than them. This both brothers agreed on. And they would not let it happen if they saw it. But how to protect Kagome from Hojo's abuse if they were to keep from being discovered? Because even if Kagome were indeed a part of all this, she did not deserve to be hurt like that.
