Chapter 7~Ambushed!

~~~Kagome had left the little italian place where she had left Kyoto and her very foul mouthed, jerk of a brother. She was confussed about how such a sweet girl like Kyoto could be related to such a rude, obnoxious guy like Inuyasha. She was also contimplating how she felt about Kyoto knowing Hojo. She assumed since they were both from high society, they would run in the same circles. But to Kagome she found it really odd that she had never met Kyoto when hanging around with Hojo and his uppercrust friends, then when she was no longer with him or apart of his crowd, she shows up living next door to Kagome? Was this some sort of trick? Was Kyoto there to keep watch on her for Hojo? That didnt sound right either though..as far as Kagome could recall there had always been a rivalry between the Takashi and Hagashi companies. Kagome recalled several times when Hojo had went on into a rant or tantrum sort of thing when he heard of some award or stock rise that the Takashi Cooperation had gotten. Then hed go on about the three Takashi heirs. He never mentioned names but there had been times when he had gotten so mad about some thing or another one of the heirs had done and she had gotten a good beating. So it wouldnt make sense that one of the heirs would be keeping an eye out on her for Hojo.

~~~Kagome had been in deep thought that she didnt notice anything out of the ordinary as she unlocked her door and went in. It wasnt till she went to flick on the living room light before shuting the front door that something felt off. But she didnt have anytime to realy think about it before she was slammed against the wall next to the front door. The lamp went crashing to the ground and she saw the front door, the only source of light coming from outside, slowly closing. She didnt hear it latch shut but it was closed enough that she didnt see anything or anyone as she was socked in the gut, pushing all the wind out of her lungs forcefully. Of all the pains Kagome had felt over the years, she really hated having the air punched out of her lungs, it stung and hurt and felt as if she were suffocating. She didnt have a chance to get much air into her lungs before the punches started coming crashing down upon her face. She did her best to block them and to defend herself, but it wasnt much use.

"Did you think to betray me Kagome??!!" came an angry, maddened hiss. Kagome had heard that voice enough to know who it was. She should of known who it was to begin with, and she guessed part of her did.

"How.......am........I........betray....ing.....you?" she asked in ragged broken words as her lungs still starved for air.

"Keep away from the Takashi's..this is your only warning." he threatened as he socked her one really good hit in the face and stars exploded behind her eyes before sweet oblivion took over.

~~~Kyoto was walking up the stairs towards her level with Inuyasha behind her, still arguing with him.

"Admit it Yash you started the fight with her?" Kyoto scolded.

"I DID NOT!" he all but yelled at her back, he was looking down at his feet, trying to keep his pinking cheeks from his sister view, when he bumped right into her back.

"What the fuck did you stop for Kyoto??" he asked, noticing she had stopped at the top of the steps.

"Kagome's door is ajar and the lights are all off Yash." Kyoto whispered, fear creeping into her blood. She just knew she shouldnt have left Kagome alone, never should of let her walk home alone.

"Stay here." Inuyasha whispered, but his tone of voice was hard and icey cold. It was his do as I tell you or your in deep shit tone. Kyoto bit her bottom lip and watched nervously as her brother crept up to Kagome's door in a stealthy way. He was good at this, thats why he was head of the security and investigations department at the company, what few people knew though was that, Inuyasha's department also did some work for the government, but that was confidential.

~~~Inuyasha crept up to the door as he was trained to do. Not even Sess or Kyoto knew some of the undercover work he did for the government. They had gotten to him when he was only 18 and had trained him for 2 years, he had now been working for them for 4 years, a total of two training and 2 working for them on undercover cases. It was the perfect cover, him the billionaire playboy, who could jet anywhere he wanted to in a blink of an eye, on the arm of any starlet or pop star singer chick he wanted. It was so easy to sneak into places that would never suspect him as being the one doing it. Who would ever think of a spoiled billionaire playboy of being an undercover agent?

~~~Right now all his senses were trained on listening to anything behind the semi opened door and into the darkness behind it. He slowly opened the door with his leg as he got ready to pounce on anything that came at him. But when the door was fully opened he looked not a few feet in front of him and saw a very battered, beaten and bloody Kagome on the ground. Although instincts and training were still there something else took over. The sight of her like that did something to his chest, his gut and all he could think of was to go to her and franticly pray that she was still breathing. As he checked her pulse point at her kneck he sighed with relief when he felt the steady rythm of the heart beats. But she looked a mess. She was unconscience and beaten badly.

"Kyoto call the ambulance!" he yelled towards the stairs and saw Kyoto flip her cell open, she had had it in her hands in case. She looked scared and frightened as she spoke into the phone, he could tell she could see Kagome clearly now that the door was fully open.

~~~Inuyasha wished he could protect his sister from seeing this but it was to late and at the moment he was more concerned about Kagome. His chest felt tight, and his gut felt as if someone had kicked him hard. No he wasnt in love with the girl, hell he had just met the chick, but no one..NO ONE should be treated like this, especially a woman. He had a feeling it was Hojo, even looking at the apartment and seeing that it looked as if it had been ransacked, he knew it wasnt any burglar or thieves, it had been Hojo and Inuyasha was going to make him pay dearly for doing this to her, just as soon as she confirmed it was him. The sound of sirens were heard far off and Inuyasha looked Kagome over but didnt move her for fear of hurting her more if she had major inside injuries or kneck injuries. Oh ya, just as soon as she woke up and told them it had been Hojo, he was going to make the little bastard pay. It was time someone made the little fuck feel all the pain he inflicted on Kagome and other women he had dated.

A/N~Okies I know this was a short chapter and ya very predictable..lol..but anyhow hope you enjoyed, things are starting to heat up a bit.
