Hello!! Welcome to my fic! I hope you like it and if its not too much to ask review. I'll take critism and compliments.

Prologue: Fortress in the Sky
It was a calm starry night. The moon was partly covered by the smoky clouds decievingly making a person think it was the kind of night that nothing bad could possibly be happening. On the contrary there was a person being kept for a reason she did not yet know.
The woman that was unfortunately trapped on such a beautiful night was a priestess. She was kept in no ordinary cage though. Instead of being trapped on the ground like you might think, she was being held captive in the sky on a ship powered by magic and demon energy. This woman's name was Kagome.

Kagome was in the lower decks of the majestic ship ,but she was not looking at the stars. No, her mind was too far away for her to be looking at the stars.
She couldn't understand why they had captured her. They didn't kidnap her for the shards of the Shikon noTama. Inuyasha confirmed that when he threatened the men that he was going to slit their throats if they tried to steal their Shikon shards. They said right back that didn't want those shards only made for weaklings. From what she had gathered they wanted her and her crystal that had been in her family for hundreds and hundreds of years, but she couldn't understand why they wanted her crystal. It was just an ordinary necklace. All she knew was that she had to get it back because that crystal was obviously a cherished family heirloom from her father's side of the family. Not just that, but that was the last thing her father gave to her before he past away. She glanced at the man who took her necklace and who also seemed to be the leader. She figured out that his name was Dassaharu and that he worked for a large organization called Kozudachi Military Organization. She couldn't help thinking that the name could be a little more original.
The leader was a tall man with reddish brown hair and dark sinister blue eyes. She could tell just by looking at him that he was a man who sought only power and only thought himself. What surprised her was that he was human. Not only that but he had demon henchmen. She knew how alot of youkai thought about humans so it greatly surprised her that these youkai were willingly working for him. She was guessing that he probably tempted them with immense power if they helped him on their quest if she had to guess.
She just hoped that Inuyasha and the others were alright without her. She also hoped that Inuyasha would hurry it up and save her. Then thats when she heard it. It was a faint buzzing sound. She started to really focus on what was outside. She gasped at what she saw. There was a gang of bird youkai that started surrounding the ship.
Dassaharu must of heard her for he came over and looked out. His eyes widened then narrowed making him look deadly and quietly whispered "Pirates." Then he started giving orders to his men. They rushed out getting prepared to fight the youkai pirates. Then he went over to a desk and started to telepathically telling his organization that he was being attacked. During this time, his eyes went blank for he had to concentrate his whole body when he did his psychic powers so it was impossible for him to keep an eye on Kagome.
Kagome stared at Dassaharu then she heard the loud stompings of running. She knew she had to get out of this nightmare with or without the help of Inuyasha. First, she had to find a way to get Dassaharu out of the way. She glanced around the room. She spotted the glass wine bottle that the men had been drinking earlier to celebrate their capture of her. Quickly she got out of her chair, walked over to the wine bottle, picked it up, and quietly started to creep behind the unsuspecting Dassaharu. She rose up the bottle and swiftly hit him over the head, effectively leaving him unconscious. She put her hand into his haori and took out the crystal that he stole from her and quickly tied it around her neck.
She heard the voices of the pirates and Dassaharu's henchmen's voices just outside the door. There wasn't much time left. Franticly, she looked about the room for an alternate exit. Spotting the window, she started studying it. It was just big enough for her to get through. She raced toward the window and opened it as fast as she could. She put one leg out after the other and hung on to the windowsill. Then the pirates burst open the door. Their was a woman that was very muscular and she looked around the room searching for something. Then she yelled, "Where's my CRYSTAL!!??"
Kagome glanced down at her crystal and thought 'Not another one.' Then a young bird demon came up behind her and said "Look oka-san! Theres the girl!"
Kagome's eyes widened in horror. The youkai started advancing toward her and Kagome yelled "NOOOO!"
She started to crawl to the left only hanging to the tiny space in between the boards of the ship. The youkai tried reaching toward her but fortunately she was too far for him already and slowly started edging toward the window to the left but then another member of the pirates burst through the window and scared her. Kagome was so scared and shocked that her hands started loosening without her even noticing it. When she did notice it was already too late. Her hold on the ship was no more and now she was quickly falling down through the sky. Kagome screamed in horror. She was sure to perish for there was no way that she could survive such a fall, right?
The last thing Kagome saw and heard was the woman yelling how she would never get that crystal now. Then all she saw was black as she slipped into unconsciousness.
