Alright, I've decided to put up an area for all future drabbles/one-shots. Most of these will end up being Kagura/Kagome with an assortment of ratings. If you do not like the pairings in these one-shots/drabbles, please do not bash or flame, for it will make you look bad.
Standard Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha, or anyone in Inuyasha, Rumiko Takahashi is the wonderful genius and creator of this series. Thanks go to her for making such wonderful characters for us to play with.

Summary: When night falls and all are sleeping, sometimes unexpected visitors arrive and watch over the unprotected and weary.
They were all asleep. Weary and wounded from their last battle with a shard enhanced opponent. The coppery scent of blood hung heavily, disturbing the sweet night air along with the bitter and acrid scent of a strange herbal concoction and the faint stinging salty scent of shed tears. She touched down silently, a cool, soft breeze flowing through the area as dark magenta eyes narrowed, carefully noting the place of each one of the fighters to herself.
`The fool is off on the outskirts of the camp. The lech and the slayer are with each other and the child and cat are off to the side. As for her…'
A slender hand tucked the feather into her carefully done hair as she crept closer to her target. Elsewhere her heart picked up pace, much to the puzzlement and intrigue of the keeper of it, as she became closer and closer to the innocent and exhausted face of the pure one of the group; the one that if taken or killed, would mean the end of the little hunting party. Shadowy crescents were beneath closed eyes as she clicked her fan shut and used it to carefully move the girl's head more towards her. Another quick glance followed by the moistening of her lips seemed to chase away the hesitation she felt as she knelt beside the slumbering and clueless young woman.
This one girl, this slip of a fiery yet pure hearted soul had been more than enough to both make her curious and risk more than she would have for anyone else.
`I have to return soon, otherwise Naraku will search for me. And I can't place her in anymore danger than that idiot already puts her in.'
Kagura smoothed away a stray strand of the young woman's hair, watching with a slight smile on her face as she leaned down, pushing a strand away from her own face and tucking it behind a pointed ear as she softly touched her lips to the slightly parted ones of the defenseless one below her. A mere lingering moment, she didn't place any pressure on to the other girl, just connected her lips to the other girl's softer ones before rising back up and looking at her. She smoothed the slumbering woman's hair out of her face and tugged the strange covering higher up before rising and making her way out of the camp. After a moment of hesitation, the wind sorceress turned again, glancing back at the still sleeping girl before a small, sad smile crossed her lips.
`I am the wind…and that girl is the heavens. The two seem so close and yet, they forever remain far apart.'
Her hand removed the feather from her hair as she tossed it recklessly into the sky and watched it expand, she boarded and rose into the air, glancing over her shoulder as she drifted with the wind currents and watched the small tightly knit group continue on unaware of her little visit. She unbound her hair, letting the wind run through it as she closed her eyes and savored the one moment she had glimpsed a taste of freedom.
“…the wind and the heavens should remain parted, for their own good.”
Kagome had waited with bated breath until after she heard the sound of the feather racing away into the winds before opening her eyes and touching her lips with her fingers. A faint blush stained her cheeks as she recalled the expression on Kagura's face as their lips touched.
`She looked so…sad.'
She glanced around at her friends and smiled before lying back down and pulling her sleeping bag up to her chin. Her eyes closed as her hand drifted back up to touch her lips, a smile on her face as she drifted off.
`She thought I was asleep…at least she doesn't hate me.'
