The stars in the heavens shown brightly down onto a young woman who seems to be deeply in thought. At this moment she is lying on her back with her mahogany colored eyes closed. Midnight black tresses with just a hint of blue tint spread across the fragrant grass in the field. A smile graces her angelic face swiftly tilting her full pink lips into a heart stopping grin. She is totally oblivious to the world around her as she concentrates on the memories that have brought her out to this spot to think. To think about just when things had changed between them. When they had become such close friends and how she had fallen in love.
when had things changed? The first couple of meetings he had tried to kill her. Always so coldly arrogant. So sure of his abilites and skills that he felt that all of the world was underneath him. It was when he had purposely drawn Inuyasha into a fight when his demon blood had taken over. Sessh could have killed Inuyasha but instead he had fought him until his strength was low and then knocked him unconscious. Things still would not have changed if she had not seen the look in his eyes. Instead of emotionless honey colored depths she saw a bit of pity and compassion for the hanyou. Maybe even a hint of love. That was all it took she knew then that he could not be all bad. This was later confirmed as that met up again and again. Especialy with Rin around.

Yes Rin was the end process to knowing that he was not all bad and maybe even a man of hidden character. The opportunity for this did not present itself until after the time when they all thought Kikyo was lost on Mount Hakurei and Kagome was possessed by Naraku.After she had recovered and returned to the feudal era she met him for the first time when they were on thier way to help out another village with a demon problem. remembered the meeting so clearly. It was late at night and everyone was asleep. Even a certian overbearing hanyou. The air was hot and thick around her making sleep all but impossible for her with her sticky skin. She could remember passing a clear lake near the camp so she decided to go for a cool swim to remove some of the sweat from her skin. Rising soundlessly she got her swim suit from her pack and made her way to the water. After swimming around for about half and hour she had made her way to the bank and laid in the grass to dry off. As she lay there she could feel a youkai presence that she knew. It took her only a moment to recognize it as Inuyasha's brother Sesshomaru. But something was off with his aura. Kagome could feel that he was weak. What could make someone as powerful as he feel this way unless he were gravely hurt. Oh no what if Rin were with him! That was all it took to her hurriedly pull on a loose pair of sweat pants and loose t-shirt and run in his direction. When she arrived she found him slumped against a tree blood oozed from cuts all over his body. Upon sensing her presence he whipped his head up snarling baring gleaming white fangs and blood red eyes.It had taken some time to get him to trust that she was not there to hurt him further and that she only meant to help him. Undoubtedly the only reason he had was because of her concern over where Rin was. Somehow after healing his many wounds with her miko abilites she also gave him back his arm that Inuyasha had taken from him some time ago. She had no clue that she could even do these things until she had done them.she talked to him as she healed him and then she left. All the way back to the lake to clean herself again she thought of him and wondered if he was disgusted being helped by a human. She thought then that she would never know. Then suddenly out of the blue three days later in the deep of night when once more she could not sleep and was sitting outside the camp watching stars he appeared to thank her. That had began the pattern. He would show up and they would chat. She did not know why he came at first. This youkai that hated humans, but he did time after time. Later she knew it was because of frienship that he came. He became her friend helping her with many things as she tried to help him. She had loved him as a friend from the beginning but over time this developed in to love just for him. She just could not help herself.
