"Ahhh!!!!" A little quarter demon screamed while being attacked by the wind sorceress, Kagura.
My name is Kae, daughter of the young leaders of the eastern wolf demon tribe, Koga and Ayame. I wanted to see what Kagura was doing here. It was amazing that she couldn't sense me, geez, I wonder what could make her so occupied. It's probably that half-hanyou, he must be really important to her job.
"Dance of Blades!" She casted a long range of white streaks that the small half-hanyou could dodge only partially. Most of her attack had harmed him. I didn't care if he was a quarter of what I am or not, no one hurts a kid like that.
"Launch, Aim, Fire!" I whispered and aimed my weapon at Kagura. She looked just a few steps away from me when my attack reached her, and said something I couldn't hear.
"I'll get you next time Iksu, I promise." And with that, she pulled a feather out of her hair and threw it up. The tiny feather transformed into a ride for Kagura.
My attack wounds the victim inside, then works itself outwards toward the skin. I'm pretty proud of my crossbow-attack, especially because it's wind, Kagura's strength, and weakness. I ran over to the boy out of my hiding spot. He looked as though he only was eleven, twelve at most. "Hey, you okay?" I asked, willing to help him up.
"If you're not looking at my bruised body, my bleeding face, my cut arm, my limping leg, and my broken wrist then ya, I guess I am alright." He joked. He seemed really nice for a kid with his body about to burst, but then his smiling expression was turned to horror. "You're a demon, you're not going to hurt me, are you?" He stood up but sat down again. I presumed that it was the pain that caused his sudden up and down.
"If I launched an attack against a person hurting you, do you really think I'll attack you? If so, you really must be very thick-headed." I snorted, who does this guy think I am? I'm still a kid, right? Sure I'm 11, and sure I like to kill, but only people who threaten me. I would never hurt another kid.
"Hmph." He replied.
"Right, your welcome." I bid him farewell and left.
"Wait!" I turned to see him struggling to get up. "What's your name, and-can you help me up?" I almost fell down from trying to keep from laughing.
"Name's Kae, and I'll help you up *laugh, laugh*." I snickered.
"Thanks. My name's Iksu. Son of InuYasha and Kagome, Lord and Priestess of Kato." I was struck with a sudden thought. My father, Koga, had always spoke ill of another man named InuYasha, and persisted that he had stolen a lady named Kagome away from him. Could Iksu's father be the same man? I nodded.
"My name is Kae, daughter of the young leaders of the eastern wolf demon tribe, Koga and Ayame." I could see that he too was surprised at my name and heritage. "I have to be going now, bye." I turned to leave, but left him with a piece of last advice. "And if that stupid sorceress ever shows up, come to the cave behind the waterfall of the Eastern Mountain, that's where I'll be. And if you can't find it, give her a punch in the gut, that should slow her down." I informed him and ran off to my home. I couldn't help but wonder as well, why was Iksu in so much danger? Why was Kagura after him?

When I got home, my father wasn't present. I asked my mother where he was.
"He went to go look for you, Kae." She wasn't happy because now, it was dark, and a lot of demons came out then. Right when I was about to sit down, he came in.
"Where is he?! Where is InuYasha?!" My father screamed. My mother had to calm him down.
"InuYasha isn't here, Koga." She assured him. "Kae has just returned home." I was worried that he would yell some more about the man that could possibly be my new friend's father.
"Where have you been young lady? I sent a quarter of our tribe to go look for you. Half of the men, haven't even returned yet!" He demanded.
"I went to go look for some fruit, which now I had just remembered, I forgot." I was about to stand up and run away, but Dad caught me and smelt me.
"Right, and why is your crossbow not where it should be?" I had forgotten that I had left it down when I helped Iksu up.
"Uh-oh." I whispered. I was in trouble, uh-oh was all that I could say.
"Right, I found your crossbow, and it has Kagura's scent all over it." He tapped his finger upon my weapon. "And you have InuYasha's scent on you. Where did you really go?" He demanded once again. My dad is a really demanding guy.
I gulped and I told him about my meeting with Iksu. "He told me that he was the son of Kagome and InuYasha." I told him the final bit of my meeting; and as soon as I told him, I clapped my hands over my mouth. Mother was really interested in the final bit as much as my father was angry.
"So you told him where you lived as well?" He was about to blow his top just like those modern day kettles my friend showed me. (Myu, my best friend is from the future. She brought an *ancient* kettle to my home one day.)
"*Gulp*Yes." I was about to run but Mother stopped me.
"It's okay, I'd love to meet Kagome again. I haven't seen her in so long." My mother told me. "And Koga! If you hurt a hair on Kae's head you will be seeing the priestess of the nearest village." She snapped. My father laughed.
"Kagome is the nearest village's priestess!" He informed her. "I don't mind seeing her again." He told her. My mother just came over and slapped him over the head. She looked really angry. I sneaked out and ran to Iksu's village. I knew where Kato was, and I just needed to go there, and I could finally see what my father was so angry about.

When I got home, my mom was so worried. 'Oh Iksu! You're safe!' Oh come on, I wasn't the little weakling I was when I was six. But then again, that was six years ago. It couldn't have been that long. My dad just sat in the corner, and went "Feh."
"Wonderful greeting father." I rolled my eyes and exited the hut once again.
"Oh no, you don't." Dad stood up and backed me into a corner. "Hand." He instructed. I held out my hand. Uh-oh. Kae's scent was still there! He was about to lose his head, when he picked up a much stronger scent than what was on my hand.
"InuYasha. What's wrong?" My mom asked.
"Koga." He replied simply. I could smell trouble brewing, even though it hadn't arrived.

A/N: What do you think? Review either on the review page or email me personally. (When you criticise the story, criticise it properly. Like: Punctuation's messed, too many spelling errors, hard to tell what's happening at all, the story baseline is just x( :p bad.) What do you think needs to be in the second chapter?
