“That's no way to speak to you elders” moody stood up and faced kagome. Kagome started to laugh…and laugh…and laugh

“It seems you are in for more of a ride then I first thought” she grinned evilly

“what the hell do you mean by that?!” moody barked

“your knowledge is pitiful, little wizards, this is not a safe environment for souta” kagome was disappointed in them, maybe she just had too high expectations in the first place.

“he is safest here then anywhere, other then Hogwarts and souta has been perfectly safe with us for 5 years, where were you then? Huh? If you had a problem with it you should have said so 5 years ago” Sirius was pissed. Kagome's eyes flashed in anger and sadness. They all could tell this was a touchy subject

“yes it's true I haven't given you any reason to trust me, but don't take it so personally, I trust very few people, enough that I count the number on one hand, if souta doesn't even have my full trust so why should I suddenly trust strangers?” kagome sighed and continued they were all shocked to learn that she didn't trust her own brother.

“what makes souta so safe with me? He is safe with me because I am the only one alive that can protect him from my past, and no, this is not the safest place, where ever I go, danger follows but I am the only one who can fight that danger. As to why I did not intervene 5 years ago…some …problems that were out of my control came up and I was absent from souta's side during this time, I would have come back sooner but I had to… heal first……I was in critical health for a while…but believe me, I wanted to be here to watch souta grow, learn and live. Sadly I had no choice in the matter, if I left my job, every one you know and love would be dead…you, me, every one” kagome was upset about the amount of information she had given out already

“so you were hurt badly, how? Why? Form whom? What's so important that it kept you for 5 years? And what do you mean that every one would be dead?” hermoine asked sincerely curious

“you're a smart on you are…” kagome smiled at her

“souta chose wisely” Hermione blushed

“I'll have to keep an eye on you” kagome joked lightly, but then turned cold again

“what kept me 5 years was a mission I was on and yes, I was hurt…badly, how badly? Well lets just say that I shouldn't be here today” kagome rubbed one of her many scars hidden under her clothing.

“how? Well…I'm kind of reckless, I had a mentor who was not afraid to stick you with his sword or his claws every now and then to get a point across. Added to that, I was given a suicide mission and I want the most….graceful of people” she chuckled shaking her head

“why I was hurt? Ummm because I was in the way of the bad guys goal, he was evil and I was good its only natural that it was a little rough, we fought with the biggest and the baddest of creatures and we fought with every thing we had” kagome rubbed another scar and shuddered

“and for your last question: from whom?...well…” kagome paused and narrowed her eyes in hate

“his name has been forgotten to all but a few, the few left alive that bathed in his blood. He was much more powerful then this voldermort guy you all seem so paranoid over, let me tell you… there are more scary things you humans should be worrying about, you are very fortunate to be ignorant of these horrors” kagome's eyes glowed

“and as to why you all would be dead…if I left my mission, he would have taken over. If I took one break, every one would have died. If I did not kill him, he would have destroyed the earth. He had the power…and he was sick enough to do it. I was the only thing in his way…that's why I haven't visited souta in 5 years” kagome sighed, lupin noticed her eyes looked tired, so very tired and old. He got up and pulled over a seat next to the fire

“please come and sit down miss.kagome” lupin asked politely.

“I have not been a miss for a very, very long time mr.lupin” she smiled a sad smile. She hated to admit it, but she was tired so she cast one more glance around the room as if testing them to attack her.

“just remember that even sitting, I can still kill all of you before you even think to reach for your wands” kagome sat down warily but grateful for the rest.

“now, when did this happen? I mean, we would have heard something about this, it would not have escaped our notice even of it was all the way over in Japan” moody's eye swiveled around and landed on kagome.

“you weren't born yet, that's why” kagome smiled

“so you couldn't have heard of it” she calmly said looking at every one in the room, inwardly laughing at their confusion.

“what? What do you mean by that?!” Sirius was very confused, he hated being confused

“that's impossible, you don't look a day over 25” moody growled. Lupin remained silent, watching kagome. She raised her eyes and found lupins. His eyes held trust and friendship, she growled and narrowed her eyes, hers were cold and piercing.

“over the years I have come to learn that noting in impossible…just highly improbable” kagome smirked

“what really is impossible, is how good I look at my age” kagome snorted at her inside joke, her voices snorted in her head

“well then, how old are you really?” lupin finally asked the question that was on every ones mind

“old enough” she smirked

“do you mind explaining?” lupin asked also smiling

“yep” kagome ended that discussion by readjusting her swords

“well what about teachings, or documents, records, anything?! Surly there has to be something on such an important battle” Sirius was still pissed at her evasive answers.

“nope, sorry, all records that you could possibly have access to have been destroyed” kagome grinned

“your enjoying this aren'tyou?” the male voice

“kagome stop playing with the mortals” the female voice sighed. Kagome laughed, every one was looking at her weird because it was quiet and then all of a sudden she started laughing.

“what?!” she glared at them

“destroyed? Wouldn't the ministry of magic have done something?” Hermione was confused. Kagome grinned and evil grin

“if we don't want info to exist, it doesn't exist….period, nothing can stop our will” kagome smirked.

“ok, who is we?” Hermione countered

“we…we is…” this was the first time any of them had seen her confused. Kagome wasn't sure how to answer that question.

“we were…are…eternity, most of us have been given the privilege of death but there are some…some who have been cursed, cursed to remain on this tainted earth and watch, watch as everything withers and turns to meaningless dust” kagome couldn't stop the hate from leaking out in her voice, she was seething and they all knew it, she had given them way too much information, they knew it and she knew it. Kagome closed her eyes and sighed. When she opened them they all saw the truth.

“I would……I would greatly appreciate it, if you would refrain from telling souta anything you may or may not have learned this evening” suddenly she looked very small in everyone's eyes, she seemed to shrink, become quiet and fragile girl, nothing like the cold, dominating woman they first met.

“of course” lupin said honestly, the others nodded their heads or muttered a yes, still uneasy about everything.

“I think it's time we all went to bed” tonks stood up and walked to her room with a brief good night, every one followed suit. Every one except lupin and kagome.

“are you going to go to sleep? Or do you still not trust us enough to do that?” lupin asked sofly. Kagome chuckled

“nothing you could do would make me trust you mr.lupin” she smiled softly

“you know it's unhealthy not to sleep” he added, she snorted and shook her head

“I'll be fine, I'm used to it by now” she said quietly, feeling a bit off the ball today

“your warming up to him my tama, but you know he'll betray you, just like all the others. He will soon die and you will be all alone” the male voice whispered softly

“I am alone” she whispered back almost in a trance, lupin watched her curiously

“yes you are, you are broken, you are tainted, you are ugly and you are weak” the male voice pushed harder on her weak state of mind

“I am broken, I am tainted, I am ugly and I am weak” she whispered again, in monotone

“kagome?” lupin was starting to get a bit freaked out, kagomes eyes just glazed over and then she started mumbling all this horrible stuff.

“you are mine, my tama, only mine” he growled in her head

“i am…….” For some reason kagome couldn't complete the sentence

“you are MINE,mine to bend. Mine to break. Mine to control and manipulate!” he growled louder and pushed hard on her mental barrier

“no” she said softly

“No” she repeated again, lupin backed away when she started to glow dark red.

“too late, I have already found a crack in your barrier, you have weakenedgreatly my beautiful, ugly tama” the male voice purred. She was commign out of whatever trance she was put under, That's when it hit her…the voice was no longer inside her head.

AN- dun dun dunnnnn, ok, some info has leaked out in this chapter and the next chapter will revel the mysterious male voice in her head. Hahahahahah im so evil >_<
