InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ From Klutz To Supermodel... ❯ New Found Friend ( Chapter 3 )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

Hi guys! It's me again… well; I just want to apologize for the last chapter! I know it is short but I promise to add more chapters soon!!!!

The butler welcomed us in and he offered me some towels, seeing that I am half wet. One of the maids came in and gave me a cup of hot chocolate which I took, of course. While I sip my cup of chocolate, Inu-Yasha lead me to one of their guest rooms. He asked one of the maids who was passing by to find a kimono that will fit my size.

“You see, we don't have jeans….” Inu-Yasha said.

“That's okay,” I chimed in. “A kimono will do. But it has been a while since I last wore one.”

We heard a knock on the door and the maid went in with a kimono, and a cute pink barrette which has a sort of butterfly on top of it.

“Thanks!” I said as she handed it over to me.

“It's my pleasure to serve any of my master's friend.” She said. Her head bowed down. After that, she went silently towards the door.

After the maid has left the room, Inu-Yasha also went outside so I could change. The blue and silver kimono fit me just well. I tied my hair in a high ponytail and used the barrette to keep it in place. As I tied my hair, I let some strands loose so that they fall on the sides of my head. I looked at the full-length mirror and for the first time, I felt beautiful. The strands of my hair fall in waves just about my shoulders and the blue and silver kimono brought out the color of my eyes, icy blue.

I heard someone knocking at the door. I walked towards it but before I could entirely reach the knob, it has opened. It was Inu-Yasha.

“I called at your house,” he said. “I told them you will be staying for the night. Don't worry today is Friday anyway, no classes tomorrow.”

“Oh, but you really don't have to!” I said. It was really getting embarrassing. “You've already done so much to me. And I, I really don't want to be a burden on your part.”

“You were never a burden,” he said softly. He walked towards me and placed a hand on my cheek and looked at me in the eyes. “And if you think that I have already done so much, you're wrong. All of this is still not enough. Kagome, I want to give you everything I could, to treat you like a goddess.”

Inu-Yasha walked towards one of the drawers and took a framed picture.

“Hey, look,” he said. In the picture is a boy, wearing only a green short and was busily playing in the sand. It was in a sea shore, I think. “This is me when I was three.”

I took the picture from his hand. “Oh, you looked so cute!!!”

“Looked?” he asked, emphasizing on my usage of the past tense.

I blushed a bit and he instantly took notice.

“Hey! Quit the blushing now, Kagome!” he said. Maybe I made him feel uncomfortable.

I looked at Inu-Yasha and asked, “Could I have it?”

“Huh? What?”

“The picture. Your picture”

“Why?”

“Nothing, I just want to.”

“Sure!”

“Thanks!” I said, putting the picture in my bag.

“Wait,” Inu-Yasha cried.

“What? You want to have a picture of me?”

“Yes… how could you have guess?”

I reached for my wallet which was at my bag. “Here”

Inu-Yasha examined it and smiled. “Thanks”

Then one of the maids came in and said that it was time for dinner. Then I remembered the lamb chops Inu-Yasha gave me. I took it out of my bag and handed it back to him.

“Didn't I just give you this?” he opened it and saw it was untouched. “You didn't like it? I really thought it was good.”

“I'm a vegetarian.” I confessed. “I don't eat beef and pork. Only poultry, fish, fruits and vegetables. I don't know what to do with it.”

I swear, Inu-Yasha looked disappointed. I decided to make the next move.

“And, I know your mom is already dead.” Inu-Yasha looked surprised. “I know you were the one who cooked it.”

“I'm sorry, Kagome” he said. “I didn't mean to lie to you.”

We went to the dinning hall. There was only Inu-Yasha living in the house but the dinning table was so long that it had about 50 chairs!
We had a hearty dinner and Inu-Yasha kept silent so I respected it and remained quiet as well.
After dinner, Inu-Yasha walked with me towards the room.

“Be ready for tomorrow” he said smiling. “We've got much to do.”

“What is it?” I cried trying to make him spill out the juicy information.

“It's a surprise.” He said still smiling. “But promise, you'll know it first thing in the morning!”

“Okay. Then it should keep me awake all night”

“Good night, Kagome”

“Good night.”

Before Inu-Yasha could close the door, I asked him this one question. “Can I call you Yash, Inu-Yasha?”

“Sure, if I could call you Kagome-chan”

“Okay!” I said. “Good night, Yash!”
