Ch 3: Middle Earth!?!

"So your telling me we are in some place called middle earth and judging by your strange clothes, we are also in the past. Dose anyone have any idea how this happened." West sighed being flustered with these ideas.

"Excuse me milady," interjected Legolas, "but did you say past? Meaning your from the future?"

"Well I guess so. I'm quite cloudy on this as well." I don't know how this happened unless Lucian did it, but why would he do this. West was in deep thought about how they got to the past. She soon realized she was being talked to. "hm, what?"

Kagome had been trying to get her attention. "I was saying that it might have something to do with my arrow. It happened right after I shot it." Apparently Kagome's English classes paid off. It would have sucked to not be able to talk.

West smacked her self in the forehead. "Of course! Your miko powers, instead of destroying my time slowing powers, probably amplified them causing time to reverse time instead of just slowing it down." She frowned "But that still doesn't explain how we got to middle earth, which I'm guessin is old Europe." She pondered this for a minute and then she remembered the old English talisman Lucian had. "I think I might know how it happened. Lucian had a talisman that appeared to be from England's medieval times. It's power protected him from being brought with us, but what if it wasn't medieval times it came from. What if it was from this time. Then that means that when the power saved him and mixed with ours it could be the reason we were brought here."

"What a mess" Kagome said shaking her head.

"Now that you have determined your predicament then I think it's time you answer some our questions now." Aragon said in a slightly stern tone.

"Shoot" Replied West. The three men just stared at her like she was crazy. "Heh… oops, I mean go ahead and ask.

"Would SOMEONE mind telling me what the HELL IS GOING ON!" Inuyasha yelled because he couldn't understand the weird language they were speaking. The men jumped up at his threatening tone grasping their weapons. They didn't need to understand what he was saying to hear the anger in his voice. Inuyasha in turn grasped tetsusaiga.

In Japanese Kagome tried to calm down Inuyasha, "Stop it Inuyasha. You yelled at them, they thought you were threatening them. Take your hand off of Tetsaiga. Don't make me say the s word." Inuyasha flinched at the mention of the submission word and took his hand off of his sword. His face still held a grumpy disposition though and his eyebrow was twitching.

"See he ain't no threat, please sit back down." West pleaded with the men.

"Fine but you keep that dog boy under control." Grumbled Gimli.

Kagome explained to them why he had gotten angry. "He is just upset because he doesn't understand what we are saying. I am going to translate for him." In Japanese to Inuyasha, "I am going to tell you what they are saying, ok?"

"Feh, what ever." Was his reply.

"Kagome you're a miko ain't ya?" Asked West.

"Well sorta."

"Then why don't ya cast tongues on him, so he can understand what we're sayin?" She knew that mikos had such power from watching the training of the Indian women with such powers. Magwa's they were called. The native American equivalent to a miko.

"I don't know how."

"Oh, well it can't be that hard. Just imagine what you are doing and try to manifest it in your powers."

"I guess I could try." She said timidly." She turned to Inuyasha. "I'm gonna try something that could make you understand what they are saying, so hold still."

Inuyasha looked at her skeptically. "You know what your doin."

"Not exactly, but all the more reason to hold still" Before he could respond she closed her eyes and her hands glowed blue as she touched him.

An electric jolt went threw his body. "HEY! What the hells the big idea." He yelled. West just smiled as the rest looked on in surprise. He gave them a weird look. "What?"

"Your speakin in English Inuyasha." West chuckled at him.

"I …actually did it" cheered Kagome in suprise. Inuyasha just sat back, his eyebrow now twitching for a new reason… being used as an experiment. Though he was a little less agitated now that he could understand the people around him.

"Ok now that you are done. Can we get back to our questions?" Asked Legolas.

"Sure, ask away" Answered Kagome.

"First of all what are you people?"questioned Legolas, "I thought you looked to be some kind of elf until I saw your fangs, tail and nails."

"I am no elf, I am a demon as is Inuyasha over there. Kagome here is a human. Oh and by the way my name is West."

"And why should we trust a demon's word?" Said Gimli.

"Well demons are not what you think. Yeah, some can be evil, but we can also be normal law abiden citizens. And good people at that. Besides I gave you back your man." She wanted them to understand because she knew what people from this time probably thought of demons.

"True. I guess we should introduce our selves. I am Legolas an elf, this is Aragon a man, and this is Gimli a dwarf." He said pointing to each one in turn.

"We shall see if we can trust you or not, but please explain what kind of demons you are. I thought demons to be vile looking creatures." Said Aragon.

"Some do look quite gruesome, but this isn't my full form. This is just a humanoid form I take. I also have a barrier that makes me look human, but because of a little incident I have to create a new one. I am actually half wolf and half coyote demon. My true form would probably scare you cause I stand taller than a horse at the sholder." The men looked at her with amazement on there faces.

"I am just a human with miko, or purifying, powers as West said, but Inuyasha is a half demon. Half human half dog demon to be exact." Inuyasha let a little growl out at the fact that she brought up his human side.

"This was an… interesting meeting, but we really must be going. We have to find our friends before they are killed." Said Aragon motioning for Legolas and Gimli to get up with him.

"Wait, can we come with you." Asked West "We're lost in this land and time." They gave her an unsure look. "We can help ya out. I have a great nose and could track them quickly." She looked at them pleadingly.

The men looked at each other and nodded their heads. They would need to find the Merry and Pippin as fast as possible. "You may join us, but be warned. One wrong move and we shall show no mercy." Replied Aragon.

"HELL NO" said Inuyasha. "We ain't following these weirdoes around."

"Shut the fuck up Inuyasha." Growled West. She turned back to the men "Thank you we greatly appreciate yawl doin this for us."

Inuyasha growled deep in his chest at west. She turned around and glared at him. He was walking towards her with a malicious smirk, but before he could reach her… "Sit" Kagome just sighed and stepped over him. "Really Inuyasha, you have the worst manners."

Gimli broke into a deep belly laugh at the sight. He was to busy the last time she sat the dog boy and didn't notice the humor in it. "Seems like we won't have to worry about that one." He chuckled.

"We really must be going now." Aragon reminded them.

"Certainly, do you have something that smells like them?" West said to Aragon.

"Only this." He handed her a piece of clothing he found snagged on a branch near where they were captured.

"This is just fine." She brought it to her nose and inhaled deeply. She then sniffed around the clearing and found the trail. "they went this way along with some nasty smellin creatures." Her nose wrinkled at the new stench. "I think it would be faster if we were to carry you fellas."

"NO!" Said Inuyasha and Gimili at the same time.

"A dwarf dose not allow himself to be carried. Especially by a woman, no offence."

"And there ain't no way in hell I'm gonna carry them, Kagome can ride but no one else." Inuyasha growled.

West sighed and turned to Gimli. "Would you have a problem riding an animal, like a horse or other larger beast of burden.?"

"I would prefer to walk, but I could I sapose not. Why?" He asked raising a questioning eyebrow at her.

"Good." She smiled at him "No one get scared, I will still be me… just bigger. Heh." With this she took a couple of steps back. She glowed a slight purple and a mist enveloped her. Her clouded form grew quickly to the size of about three war horses combined. As the mist cleared a golden tan wolf form stood before them. Inuyasha and kagome didn't seem to be bothered because they dealt with this kind of thing everyday, but the men looked up at her with stunted and maybe even a little scared expressions. In a rough deep growl like voice the wolf, West, spoke. " There now I am an animal, get on."

When no one moved towards her she got slightly annoyed. "Well, do you wanna help your friends or not?" She laid down to give them better access.

"You are right, we have to help our friends" Said Aragon as he walked cautiously towards her and climbed on her back. Legolas followed soon after.

She looked at Gimli. "Comin?"

"There isn't any way I will be showed up by an elf, if Legolas can handle it so can I." He strode confidently over to her then realized how tall her back was.

"Here let me help." She gabbed him with her teeth by the back of his shirt and set him on her back.

"I could of done it my self."

She smiled at him, which was kind of scary in her current state. "I'm sure you coulda I just wanted to speed it up a bit." She then turned to Inuyasha and Kagome, who was now on his back. "are you two gonna be able to keep up?"

"Feh, just go."

"Ok, everyone hang onto my fur tight as ya can." With one more sniff to the ground she took of with a speed that could out do the fastest of horses, but slow enough that they didn't fall off. They ran like this threw the remainder of the forest barely dodging trees and branches until the came to the edge of a large clearing of open land. With another sniff of the air they took off again across a rocky looking plain, the scents growing ever closer.
