"Hey, I sense a jewel shard!" Kagome exclaimed. Then she pointed off in the distance. "It's that way!"

Miroku agreed. "That's where the aura is coming from. Let's go."

Kagome climbed on Inuyasha's back while Sango and Miroku got on Kirara. As the group made it closer to the aura and shard, they all noticed the temperature drop more and more. The cold started to make it hard for them to keep their pace up. They started to drastically slow down as time went by and the cold air grew to be almost unbearable.

Suddenly, they were surrounded by snow with no evidence of human civilization any where near. They came to a stop by a large body of water that was currently frozen solid. Inuyasha put Kagome on her feet but kept a protective arm around her because of how deep the snow is. Sango and Miroku got off of Kirara and Miroku decided to help steady Sango.. with a hand on her rear. Her reaction was a good old fashion slap to the face.

"Really, Miroku? Now?" Inuyasha scolded his friend. Miroku only rubbed his handprint and gave a sly smile.

The next thing they knew a giant octopus yokai crashed through the ice in the body of water and launched its tentacles in every direction. Inuyasha unsheathed his Tetsusaiga and started slashing at anything that came near him and Kagome.

Sango was defending herself with her katana and Hiraikotsu. Miroku was using his staff to attack each tentacle that came near him. Kirara bit and swiped at the tentacles as well. Kagome pointed out that the shard was imbedded in its right eye. She notched an arrow and as she was about to let it fly, a tentacle came up from behind her and lifted her off the ground, causing her to drop her weapon.

The sound of Kagome's scream had gotten everyone's attention, especially the silver haired hanyou. "Kagoommeeee!" He watched in horror as Kagome was drug down under the freezing cold water by the tentacle.

Sango reacted immediately by throwing Hiraikotsu at its eye and then diving into the water to try and cut the tentacle off from around Kagome's body. She ignored the yells of Miroku when he tried to stop her.

"Dammit!" Inuyasha yelled as he thrust his wind scar at the monsters face. The girls were underwater so he was sure they wouldn't get hit.

They watched as the octopus exploded and the shard flew towards the monk. He picked it up and put it in his robe for safe keeping. Inuyasha wasted no more time by jumping in after the girls.

"Inuyasha! You idiot!" Miroku ran up to the water and peered in. He couldn't see anything but darkness. He dipped his hand in and immediately retreated as it practically burned him with how cold it was. A wave of panic started to flow through his body at the amount of danger he realized his friends were in.

Inuyasha resurfaced a few seconds later with Kagome in his right arm and Sango in his left. He climbed out of the water and layed them gently on the ground. Moroku ran up to him and crouched down to listen to the girls chest.

"Inuyasha. They aren't breathing."

Inuyasha started to slam his fist into the cold ground over and over again. "Do something!"

"Okay.. But you mustn't get angry with me."

"Whatever, just do it!" Inuyasha moves a strand of hair out of Kagome's face before stepping back to allow Miroku better access.

Miroku listened again and then decided to do something that he witnessed Kagome do once for a young boy who almost drowned. He noticed that Kagome was in worse shape then Sango so he started with her first. He placed his locked hands to Kagome's chest and lightly pumped. After a few times, he put his fingers to her nose to close her airway and then opened her mouth. When he was about to put his lips to hers, Inuyasha stopped him with his hand.

"What the HELL do you think you're doing!?"

"Inuyasha. Kagome did this to save someone before. I must try it. You didn't pay attention to her when it happened so you wouldn't know what to do. I promise I am only trying to help."

Without further explanation, he connected his lips to hers and gave her his air. He pumped a few more times on her chest and gave her more air. He did this three more time until finally Kagome started to cough up water and her body shivered uncontrollably.

Miroku didn't waste a second when he turned to Sango and did the same for her. Inuyasha had picked Kagome up and held her to his chest already. She had passed back out after her lungs got rid of the water.

Once Sango had been revived, Moroku picked her up and they sat the girls on Kirara while they tried to find a safe place for the night. They noticed that the snow had started to melt soon after that yokai was defeated. They didn't really understand what caused the cold or snow to begin with but at the moment, all they cared about was saving their women and getting them warm again.

Inuyasha had sniffed out an abandoned hut in the middle of the woods. He was certain no humans or yokai have been there for a very long time. It only took them about ten minutes to get there after leaving the large body of water behind. When they walked in, they saw that there were holes in the walls, causing a ton of cold air to make its way in.

They noticed a small fire pit in the center of the hut. First, they layed out two sleeping bags next to each other and layed the girls next to them for now. Then they gathered some fire wood and put it in the pit. Miroku started the fire and made sure it was the perfect size to warm up the whole hut.

Inuyasha asked Kirara to stand guard outside, since they weren't going to be able to defend themselves if anything does decided to come by and disturb them while they were regaining their strength.

Inuyasha went up to Kagome and felt her skin. Her whole body was ice cold and she was shivering while still unconscious. Sango wasn't doing much better.

"Inuyasha.. We have to warm them up."

"Duh! Just how the hell do we do that!? The fire isn't working!"

"We gotta get them out of their clothes." He put his hands up defensively when Inuyasha looked like he wanted to kill him. "Believe me, it's not like that! Their clothes are soaking wet and its only going to make it worse. Come on." He walked up to Sango and started to pull her soaking wet taijiya outfit off of her.

Inuyasha scoweled at him but saw he wasn't reaching for anything inappropriate. He thought about it for a second and decided it made sense. They couldn't warm up if they were soaking in the cold wet cloth. He bent down in front of Kagome and carefully removed each artical of clothing. He blushed as he did so and really tried not to look. Kagome would 'sit' him so many times when she woke up.

They took the girls' clothes and layed them on the other side of the fire to hopefully dry up fairly quickly. Then they tucked the girls in as comfortably as they could in the sleeping bags. They kept checking on them every couple minutes but nothing changed. They were still extremely cold and shivering. Their breathing became labored and it was clear that they weren't going to make it through the night at this rate.

"We have to use body heat, Inuyasha."

"What do you mean?"

"We need to shed our clothes and get in next to them so our body's natural heat can warm them up." He paused for a moment before adding, "By the way, you jumped in the water too, are you alright?"

"Keh.. I'm fine. I heat up fast. But.. Are you sure that will help? It's not just you trying to get naked with Sango?" He gave him a serious and dangerous look.

"Inuyasha. I promise you, that is farthest from my mind right now. The most important thing is to get their body heat back to normal."

Without another word, Miroku started to shed his clothes. Inuyasha nodded his head in agreement and also took the rest of his clothes off. He was still not wearing his Suikan from when he wrapped it around Kagome earlier. They placed their clothes next to where they had put the girls clothes.

Miroku was about to climb in the sleeping bag with Sango when Inuyasha stopped him.

"Wait. I don't know if I feel comfortable with you getting in there with her. Do you know how angry she will be with you for doing it and then with me for allowing it?!"

"Would you rather take my place and I lay with the lovely miko?"

Inuyasha responded with a growl and then slid in next to Kagome. Miroku gave him a satisfied grin and then did the same with Sango. Miroku pulled Sango's body close to his with her back facing him and started rubbing up and down her arms and legs to try and keep her as warm as possible. He told Inuyasha to do the same.

Inuyasha started to rub Kagome's arms, legs, stomach and back. After a few minutes, he noticed it was working. She had less goose bumps then before and her breathing started to even out. She was still shivering but not as furiously as before.

The longer they stay in this position, the harder it got for both men to pretend they aren't naked with the women they love. It looked like he was trying to convince Inuyasha to grab Kagome ass or breasts. Inuyasha blushed and mouthed the word, 'NO!'

"Sango, calm down. You were freezing and wet. I had to do something."

"It's true." Kagome spoke up, catching Sango's attention. Sango's eyes widened when she saw her best friend with Inuyasha.

"What happened?" Was all she could say.

Inuyasha and Miroku took turns explaining everything. They told them about when Kagome was pulled into the water and then Sango jumped in to save her. Then how Inuyasha brought them both out but they weren't breathing and Miroku saved them. Then how they found this place and tried everything to warm them up. They explained how this was the only way that actually started to work. Sango relaxed after hearing that story.

She leaned back into Miroku for some extra warmth when she felt something poke into her. Her eyes widened and she blushed furiously. "Miroku. I will rip it off and feed it to you if you don't quit that."

"I - I'm s-sorry Sango. I can't help how my body reacts to yours." He actually blushed when Inuyasha gave him a humorous look. Kagome blushed but reached out her hand to hold Sango's.

"It's okay. They're helping us. Plus, they're just guys. They can't control it." She giggled when Sango blushed even more.

"Hey! You're one to talk!" Inuyasha yelled at her.

"What are you talking about?" Kagome questioned the hanyou.

"As soon as you felt me, I could smell the arousal flow from your entire body in waves!" He immediately regretted saying that. Miroku stroked Sango's arms as he spoke, "Don't worry, Sango. I'm only here to warm you up. In fact.. I know the perfect way to heat up this place."

"Miroku. I'm serious." Sango told him, yet her voice showed no true intention of stopping him. Inuyasha could smell both of their scents grow even stronger.

He thought to himself. What would he do if Kagome was willing right now? Would he deny her? Of course not.. but what about with Miroku and Sango here.. truthfully, it kind of made the whole situation more erotic.

Kagome took him out of his thoughts again. "Inuyasha." He looked back down into her eyes, realizing he still has her pinned down.

Everyone watched in amazement as he let go of her arms and started to back off of her with an arrogant smirk on his face. Kagome was so angry at this point. No matter who was in the room. If Naraku suddenly came back from the dead and walked into the hut dressed in a hula skirt and singing a song from The Lion King, she would completely ignore him and take Inuyasha right where she lay.

"Kagome.. would you be my mate?"

Sango and Miroku stopped what they were doing as they heard those words. Well, Sango stopped.. Miroku only slowed his movements on her chest while he started to listen to what their friends were saying.

"Your.. mate?"

"Y-yes.. It's like marriage for humans but it's more permanent. Your soul would be tied to mine forever. Would.. you want to?"

Inuyasha reluctantly pulled away in order to do what he needed to next. "I'm going to bite you and then you will receive my lifespan as my saliva cleans up the wound. Okay?"

Kagome nodded her head. Not really knowing what to expect, she waits for him to make the first move.

"I may not be able to sit you like Kagome can Inuyasha, but I still have Hirakotsu, Miroku."

Both Kagome and Sango were as red as Inuyasha's fire rat robe and neither knew what to say. They glanced at each other and then did what no one expected. They started to laugh hysterically. Inuyasha and Miroku both backed up from their women and gave them concerned looks.

Kagome wiped a stray tear from her face from laughing so hard and then caught her breath before speaking. "It's just.. What happened.. It was so unexpected and Sango and I.. we were literally were holding hands the entire time. It was - "

Inuyasha was shocked that Miroku just asked that and then wasn't murdered right away. Instead, Kagome and Sango blushed as they glanced to each other. They smirked and then stood up at the same time. The undressed slowly, while facing each other, allowing their men to watch with wide eyes. Once they were completely naked, they gave each other one last determined look. Then they both faced their men and pushed them onto the floor on their backs. Inuyasha and Miroku were pleasantly surprised when the girls attacked their lips with their mouths and tongues. Kagome straddled Inuyasha's waist at the same time Sango straddled Miroku's.

Sango reached to her left and grasped onto Kagome's hand and locked their fingers together. When they saw the looks of pure ecstasy on the monk and hanyou's faces, they gave each other a satisfied smirk before looking back down into their lovers eyes and riding out their orgasms.

When the four of them orgasmed together again, the girls collapsed onto the guys chests. Inuyasha and Miroku wrapped their arms around Kagome and Sango's bodies as they sighed in contentment.

Inuyasha could tell that their women fell asleep on top of them so he looked to Miroku to speak. Miroku smirked and spoke up first.

"Things are really going to change from now on, huh?"

Inuyasha only nodded in the affirmative before kissing Kagome on the head and allowing sleep to overcome him. Miroku thanked the kami for whatever higher power gave him this life and then he held onto Sango tighter as he too, fell asleep.
