A/N: *smiles* See? I couldn't leave Rin out of the fic, although you may have thought so... No, I'm not that heartless person..^___^

The three of them walked around the town enjoying all the enterntaining the town gave. Rin, however, was holding tightly on Kagome's arm, in fear for someone trying to hurt her.

Kagome looked up to the sky seeing a many stars shining beautifully above the three of them. She smiled and wondered how much the clock was. Rin tugged the sleeve of her kimono, making her turn her gaze from the stars to the girl.

"Rin... scared.. where.. is...o-oneesan and Ses--Sessho--... Sesshomaru- sa...sama going? Can Rin go too?" The little one asked, looking into Kagome's eyes like she was going to cry. (A/N: I know there're typos as Rin talks, I made them for by knowing about it!! But for god's sake! Rin has been mute for many years and she is just sixe years old!!!)

"Don't be scared Rin-chan. I'll protect you from any harms. And now we are just walking around," Kagome smiled to Rin, picking her up into her arms and continuied walking with her in her arms.

It was almost morning. The sun would rise in few hours. Only drunken people, Keisha's, hookers and youkai alikes were still awake. All the travellers from nearby villages and towns had gone back to their homes to sleep, or stayed at motels/their friend's houses.

Two figures walked over to the forest; the female one carrying a little human girl- who sleep peacefully- in her arms, as the male one walked a few steps ahead of the female.

"Umm... Sesshomaru-sama?" The female asked quietly from the male.

"Hn?"

"Uh... Can... mmm.. Can Rin-chan come with us to your castle?... I mean... she has no place to stay and---" She tried to explain, but Sesshomaru cut her off;

"I shall give the child permission to stay at the castle in one condition," Sesshomaru started.

"And that is?"She asked.

"Yes.. That is, that you're going to acompany me at a ball, that is going to held on the castle of Eastern Lord," He told her.

Kagome stopped walking and looked at the youkai lord in quiet shock, "That's all? To a company you at the ball?" She asked.

Sesshomaru stopped walking and looked at her over his shoulder seeing her shock-supried face,"Yes, that's all," He nodded, turning his gaze back towards, starting to walk again.

Kagome thought his words forawhile, until she smiled and nodded, "Okey! I'll a company you at the ball!" And with those words she started to walk again a smile on her face towards the Western Lands Castle, without sensing a pair of watchful eyes following her every move...

Kagome streched, yawning tiredly. It was almost a midafternoon and she felt deadly tired. That wasn't suprise, after all, she had been awake a whole night, having a fun with the feared youkai lord of the west; Sesshomaru.

Kagome laughed quietly at the thought; 'Who would have thought a many months ago that I would be having fun with the most feared youkai that ever exit on earth!'

She sighed and laid down on a bed that had became hers as she had spend days at the Western Lord's castle. She tugged her hand under her pillow, feeling a paper under it.

"What the---" She thought out aloud and pulled out a letter under her pillow, ''A red letter?''

Kagome looked at the letter thoughtfully for a few minutes, before she opened it and read it;

'My Dearest Kagome,

I don't know when will you noticed this letter, but when you do, take this and go to the village called Nabuki. At there give the following card to the miko of the village and she will give you a packet.

In the packet will be your and your friend, Tikari's clothes for the ball.

With love, yours truthly Sesho'

She read the letter and smiled happily. Now she didn't have to worry about her dress for the Ball, nor neather didn't Tikari!

With those thoughts and smile on her face, she went to sleep...

Kagome had woke up next morning with a smile on her face, as she had walked to the dinningroom for breakfast. On her way she had spotted on Tikari. She had told her about the letter and asked if she would be kind and go to pick the packet from the village.

Tikari had agreed and promised to go after her morning works.

Now, It was a lovely evening and there was no clouds on the blue sky, as Kagome sat at the garden of The Western Castle, under a pink cherry tree, watching as Rin picked a flowers of different kinds.

''Oneesan?" Rin asked shyly.

"Yes Rin-chan?" Kagome asked.

"C---Can Rin... Ca--call Oneesan... Okaasan?" The little girl asked, quietly as she came to sat down next to her.

"Sure you can, Rin-chan!" Kagome smiled at the girl, who looked up from the ground to Kagome's eyes in suprise, not believing that she had heard right.

"Really?" She asked, a hope shining in her eyes.

"Yes, Rin-chan," Kagome laughed and hugged the girl in her arms, who started to giggle for happiness.

"Does that mean... umm that.... Sesshomaru-sama... will ...uh...will be Rin's ...ummm... Otusan?" Rin asked as she hugged her new mother tightly, afraid that if she let go, she would disappear.

"I don't know Rin-chan... I mean that... I and Sesshomaru are just friends... But if you want, you can go and ask if he wants to be you otusan," Kagome explained suggesting.

"Okaasan and..uh Sesshomaru-sama... are not... loving each other?'' Rin asked titling her head a little to left.

"No Rin-chan, not like that... We are just friends, like I just told you," The miko from future told her and got up from the ground, Rin still in her arms.

"But... if.... Sesshomaru-sama loved okaasan.... uh.. that way... would... okaasan... love Sesshomaru-sama too?" She kept asking as Kagome started to walk towards the castle.

"Maybe, Rin-chan, maybe," The miko smiled continuing as she put Rin down, "Now, go to ask Sesshomaru if he wants to be your otusan, okey?"

Rin looked at into Kagome's eyes forawhile, until she nodded and ran inside the castle insearch for the youkai lord of West.

''So, the wench went and took a filty human brat in and adopted her,'' A familiar voice behind her spat in anger.

A chill travelled through her body and she quickly turned around to face to face with a person who had been her first love and heartbreak.

''Inuyasha, what are you doing here?" She asked trying to look calm, althought inside she felt like someone had ripped her heard off brutal way.

"Feh, stupid wench, now aren't you?... Heh! I'm here to take my bitch back of course!"

Kagome swalloed and took a step back, feeling a little nervous as she noticed his gaze, which was lustful. The hanyou noticed her nervousness and smirked, "Are you afraid me, bitch?"

"No Inuyasha, I'm not afraid of you," The miko answered and looked down to the ground, feeling a pinch of pain in her cheast.

"Feh, liar. I can smell your fear and lies, wench" He half growled continuing," I give you a choise bitch... you can come willingly or I drag you back so we can look for the shards which YOU broke! Now, choose!"

Kagome closed her blue eyes, putting her left hand against her chest, feeling the pain growing unbearable. She took and deep, shakey breath feeling a few tears falling down on her cheeks. Slowly, she looked up into the golden eyes of the hanyou she once had loved so dearly and asked a one simply question, "Why, Inuyasha?"

"Why what, bitch?"

"Why did you have to break my heart? Wasn't it enough for you that I gave up my friends, family and school for you? Wasn't it enough that I stayed by your side two years Inuyasha? TWO full years and loved you?!? Wasn't I enough for you?'' She asked as more tears ran down from her eyes, "What else could I have done to have my love return, Inuyasha?" She asked quietly.

"Feh! You should know by now, wench that you're noting more than a shadow of Kikyo! How can you possibly think that I could love YOU?!?.... You're such a stupid person what I have ever met in my life!!!" Inuyasha yelled.

"No!!!" Kagome cried.

"What's the matter, my rencaination? Can't you bear to hear the truth?" Another familiar voice asked and a woman dressed in miko clothes stepped out from behind a tree lines. Her icy brown eyes looked at Kagome as she held a bow and arrow ready to shot her.

"Kikyo," Kagome whispered.

"When you can't have Inuyasha you go and ran to his brother," Kikyo smirked coldly.

Kagome stayed silent, trying to make a plan.

"What's the matter now? Did you forget how to speak?" As Kikyo said those words, Kagome took a chance and ran towards the castle, hoping to get there before Inuyasha or Kikyo would catch her.

Suddenly she felt something sharp against her back, making her fall down on her knees. She looked down at her stomach, seeing an arrow and blood.

"Now you can't escape from us," Inuyasha smirked.

"No...Please... Don't," Kagome pleaded and coughed up some blood.

"You're coming back with us, bitch!" The hanyou spoke as he came closer to her.

"No...No..Noooh!! Sesshomaru!!!"Kagome yelled in fear as she tried to get up.

*slap*

Inuyasha hit the miko from the future, "Shut up bitch! He isn't coming to save you this time!" He growled.

Suddenly there was a blur of white and a low growl," Get your dirty hands away from Kagome,"
