all the right ones.

Inuyasha stepped out from underneath the hooded limbs of the lilac
willow that covered the edge of the little streams river. He'd been
calmly watching over Kogome all night long and was now taking a break,
stretching and yawning like a lazy dog would do after a long day of work.

"I can't wait until sunrise..." Inuyasha said out loud thinking no one
would hear him but the tree.

"Oh but I can." a deep sickening sweet voice said from out of the
darkness that covered the entire landscape. Not a single star shone
nor did the moon glitter any more at that moment. It seemed as if
this creature, this evil desperado had chased them away with its mere
presence.

"Who are you?" Inuyasha growls drawing his sharp glowing blade.

"Easy now pup." the voice says chilling Inuyasha to the bone with some
kind of magic. "I'm not interest in you, nor am I interested in that
pitiful human you have with you. I am far more interested in bigger
game."

"What are you talking about? Bigger game?" he replies taking a
fighting stance looking around the pitch black air, taking in deep
breaths to catch the slightest wisp of the intruder's scent. However
nothing comes, nothing stirs, and the creature vanishes as it had come.
Without no more trace then the ghostly echo of the words that had
been spoken. After a few moments, Inuyasha decided to place his sword
back into its cradle and sit to ponder over where the creature had
gone. As he thought, night passed slowly on, and before light caressed
the grasses, Inuyasha had fallen asleep.

As the light did begin to wash over the landscape, Kogome and the
others woke to find him sleeping against the tree.

"Sit boy!" Kogome screamed immediately sending Inuyasha to the ground
with a deafening thump.

"Hey what was that for?!?" he growled back up at her as she stooped
down to his level.

"What if a creature would have come to snap me up, or worse to kill
me? And what about the sacred shards Inuyasha?" she stared at him
with burning eyes.

"Oh it didn't want you, or the shards. It said it was after bigger
game, whatever that means." Inuyasha said looking at her and shrugging
pulling him self up against the tree.

"WHAT?" all of them yelled in unison.

"What did you say Inuyasha?" Shippo says looking side ways at him.

"I said, incase you deaf things couldn't hear, that the creature wasn't
interested in any thing here. It said it had bigger game!!" Inuyasha
screamed causing poor Shippo to tumble over.

Kogome stood up and looked down at the ground balling her fists. "We
only asked what you where talking about. But you had to go and be all
up and heave about it." she sighed heavily before continuing, "But you
can't keep a good temper about things. You, you, you don't even care.
Why didn't you wake us up huh? It could've killed us all." still
holding her focus on the ground.

"It said it wasn't interested in any thing Kogome. So why worry about
it?" Inuyasha says looking at her and gulping as a grumble comes from
her throat.

"I thought you cared about me. I thought you cared about the shards.
Evidently your thick brain doesn't care about any thing at all!" she
screams storming off.

"Where are you going?" Shippo asks watching her continue walking away.

"I'm going home." she says with an added grumble under her breath.

"Kogome, you know I..." and before Inuyasha could finish, he was laying
down face flat in the dirt because she had uttered 'Sit boy' loud
enough to have the controlling affect over him.

They all sighed, except for Inuyasha whom just laid there trying to get
up with a mouthfull of dirt. Kogome continued walking out of site,
and then on down the known path to her way home. The rest back at the
tree had decided to go off to fish for breakfast, since there wasn't
going to be any thing happening fast.

"Darn it." Inuyasha cursed as he finally gathered himself up. "I hate
it when she does that. She should know that I would never let any
thing hurt her."

"Ah but does she?" the same sickening sweet voice echoed from the air
as from last night.

"She knows. And I thought you said you have other things to take care
of." Inuyasha says standing thinking about if it was a dangerous
thing.

"Don't worry your pretty little ears boy. I told you I'm not
interested." the voice says with a sly laugh. "My interest, my only
interest, will be coming along shortly."

"Hey what the hell are you talking about? And don't you talk that way
to me demon bitch." Inuyasha spouted as his eyes darted around to
find the creature.

"Do I look like a bitch? I am most certainly not a female dog.
However, I can think of one person that would like to play yours." the
voice says as a tall dark figure appears to the off side of where
Inuyasha is, unseen.

He growled and jumped forward wildly looking around, but not behind him,
to see where this creature of such vial thoughts was hiding, knowing
exactly of whom the creature spoke of. "How dare you talk about Kogome
that way. I'll rip you to shreds!"

"Ah ah I don't think so my dear boy." the shadow says stepping out in
plain view and revealing his perfect flawless face features, the
creamy white skin that looked as if it ached to be touched by a hand,
the perfect ebony hair that spiked around a set of cat ears, along with
the most gorgeous ice blue eyes and body.

Inuyasha stared thinking about leaping at the creature before him, but
a tail lashed out and smacked his face sending him to the ground with
pure brute force. "What the.."

"Don't even bother trying me boy. You are not worth the time, and
besides, you don't want your poor girl weeping over your shreds, do
you?" he laughs evilly and grins as his image becomes nothing more then
what seems to be an illusion.

"Damn you." Inuyasha mutters wondering and hoping that that was the
last time he would meet up with that man.

Little did he know how bad the situation would get....
