 "Ichi......Ichigo...Ichig o wakey wakey," The small girl poked the very indistinguishable lump on the bed. The lump stirred slightly.
 "mmmm go 'way," the lump mumbled. The girl giggled again and continued on in her poking torture.
 "Not uh you gotta get up there is chores and stuff to do.....Ichigo come on.."
 "Man Kai, don't you owe me a day of chores anyway......." the lump replied as it readjusted it's position on the bed.
 "No mom said that I didn't have to because it was you taking advantage of a young child's mind." The small girl, Kai, smiled brightly as her sister, the lovable lump, groaned and threw back her blanket, reveling a teenage girl about 16. Her mid-back length dark brown hair was all mussed up, and she was wearing nothing but a short yutan. She glared at her sister.
 "Kai I really hate you."
 Kai, the ten year old younger sibling, laughed "I know you tell me that everyday"
 "Good just so you know," The teenager stretched and finally got up from bed. Shuffling her way to her wardrobe, she absentmindedly scratched her right arm, readjusting the purple cloth covering it. Yawning she threw on her customary long skirt and shirt. She grabbed a brush off the night table and turned to her sister. "So what do we have to do today?"
 "Hm..mom says we have to clean out and fix up the store house, and...um...i forget what else." Kai moved up to her sister, automatically grabbing the brush and brushed her sister's hair.
 "Hm....well doesn't seem too bad. Did she send you in here to wake me up?"
 Kai Laughed "Yea...she told me to tell you it's not her fault that you got laziness from the other side of the family and that it serves you right for staying up all night staring off into space anyway. Ichigo, what were you doing last night anyway?"  Kai looked to her sister.
 Ichigo sighed and put her hair up "I was just thinking is all."
 "About what?"
 "Don't worry about it, come on lets go." The two girls walked out into the yard of the fairly big home. It was on the outskirts of town, had a wide expanse of land and the house itself was pretty damn big. The girls made their way to the center of a large yard, where there was a deep crater, simultaneously both girls got on their knees and began to pray.
 "Ichi!"
 "OOF!" Ichigo grunted as she was tackled by a ball of energy. "Morning Haku"
 "Hiya Ichi, watchu doing?" The ball of energy, which turned out to be a young boy of about four, asked.
 "The same thing you should be doing Haku, I tell you every morning to pay your respect." Ichigo reached behind her, grabbed her brother off her back and plopped him in front of her. "Hands together eyes closed all right Haku." She said in a stern voice.
 The three kids sat there for about a minute or two praying at the edge of the crater. Finally, as if on cue, all three opened their eyes and got up. Kai was the first to speak.
 "Bye Dad have a nice day."
 "Have a nice day Father." Haku said in a voice, indicating he was only saying it because of the firm grip on his shoulder by his lovely older sister.
 Ichigo smiled "Have a good day Daddy!" The three children walked away from the crater toward the edge of their property which was surrounded by a wannabe forest.
 "Oh yes, Kouryu from the village just found a new cave and he wants me to come and explore it with him," Haku said excitedly as he started to sprint off. He was jerked back by his sister's hold on his shirt.
 "Now Now Haku, aren't we forgetting something," Ichigo said, like a perfect mother. She kneeled down to be eye level with him. "Hmm?"
 Haku groaned "Ahh noo...Ichi, he said he'd only wait a little bit for me, he's gonna leave without me..." he looked up at his sister with his 'Please-I'll-be-good-and-do-anything-for-you-and-use-these-same-eyes-on-mom my-to-stick-up-for-you-next-time-she-yells' eyes, which he knew were his best weapon.
 Ichigo made a large dramatic sigh "Oh all right, just stop with the eyes, they kill me...fine go on I'll clean the chicken coop for you...." of course she couldn't leave it at that, she always loved being dramatic "I mean jeze it is your ONLY chore during the spring...but fine, have me and Kai do it, after all we only work ourselves to the bone, cooking your food, fixing your clothes, cleaning out your store houses....but fine go ahead,"
 "All right thanks!" Haku went to run off again, but again was stopped short.
 "Hey, after I just agreed to do this for you and you cut off my dramatic speech, don't I at least get a kiss good-bye?" Ichigo stared pointedly at her brother, who looked as if she asked him to chop of his own head. "Oh come on I won't give you cooties or anything" She grinned as he flinched "Awww come on give me a big kiss" She grabbed a struggling Haku and planted a big sloppy kiss on his cheek, and the proceeded to laugh hysterically at his screams of outrage.
 "Eeeeew" could be heard throughout the whole forest as Haku ran off.
 Kai laughed "So nice of you to do that for him."
 "Oh shove it, I did your share of bringing in the food last fall cause you wanted to see that little," Ichigo took on a high pitched voice "Pretty boy" She fluttered her eyelashes.
 Kai gaped "Stop that don't make fun of him! He was cute."
 "Yea yea come on, We have a store room to fix and a chicken coop to clean let's go."
 "HEY! Why do I have to help with the chicken coop?"
 "Because I, as your loving sister and mentor, am asking you too"
 "So?"
 "And I'm bigger and can probably kick you ass."
 "Works for me," the girls laughed as they began their chores.

 Kagome was excited, she kept glancing out to the main road every five seconds.
 "Will you calm down, they'll get here when they'll get here," Inuyasha huffed.
 "I know but, I really can't wait to see them...it's been four years," She turned to Inuyasha "Don't tell me your not in the least bit anxious aren't you?"
 "Kagome this is Miroku and Sango though, they never change, I'm telling you. But fine yes I am happy to be seeing them again, write that down cause you will never get me to say that again."
 Kagome sighed as she glanced to the road yet again. 'Well, at least he was being honest,' Kagome thought, 'that's a start.' Kagome suddenly felt her heart beat wildly as she saw Sango walk up the main road, with Kilala walking next to her.
 "They're here Inuyasha, They're here!" Kagome jumped up and without waiting for his reply, grabbed Inuyasha's hand and dragged him outside in one swift movement.
Sango smiled as she saw Kagome burst out the door with Inuyasha in tow. She finally saw her dearest friends after four long years.
 "Sango!" Kagome yelled as she practically tackled her with uncontrolled happiness. "Oh god it's so great to see you again."
 "As it is with you," Sango said cheerfully. "Inuyasha," She nodded to him, knowing how he didn't really liked to be touched much. Boy did she get a surprise when he reached out and grabbed her in a bone crushing hug.
 "It's good to see you again Sango," He laughed. "But where's the Monk? Hitting on girls is he?"
 Sango glared. "No, he is not," She looked behind her "He was right behind me I don't know where he?-"
 Just then Miroku ran up the road, his little four-year-old girl on his shoulders. They were both laughing. He was running and swerving form side to side.
 "And then Kilala swooped down," He picked the girl up off of his shoulder, dropped her down, and caught he right before she hit the ground "and caught me and mommy right before we were splattered all over the ground."  He smiled as the girl giggled.
 "Must you always tell her about our near death experiences" Sango sighed. 
 Miroku pouted at his wife "Aww but she likes them," he held his daughter up next to his face.
 "Yea Mommy I like them," she pouted along side her father.
 "Ugh You know what the double pouting does..." She groaned "Fine...but if she jumps off the roof Miroku, I blame you."
 "All right All right," Miroku laughed and he looked finally to Inuyasha and Kagome. "Well, well if it isn't my two best friends" He laughed as he grabbed each of them in a hug. "It's been too long."
 "It defiantly has Miroku," Kagome smiled.
 Inuyasha knelt down to the little girl. "Damn haven't you've gotten big?"
 The little girl blinked "Who the hell are you?" she bluntly asked. The caused the women to gape as the men laughed.
 "I like her," Inuyasha stated as he grabbed the girl and ruffled her hair.
 Sango groaned, men. "Ichigo this is Inuyasha and Kagome, the ones we told you about."
 Understanding came to the girl, "Oh you mean the cocky dog demon and his wife who turned down daddy cause she didn't know a good thing when she saw it?"
 Total silence followed the statement as Inuyasha glared at Miroku.
 "Well, whadda know..." Miroku nervously laughed. "Ichi, your not supposed to repeat what daddy says," He whispered in the girl's ear. "Eheheh.."
 Kagome laughed. "Well, Oh," She knelt down next to Ichigo, "I have a son about your age, would you like to meet him?"
 "Oh I wanna meet your son" Sango smiled looking down at Ichigo "How about it?"
 Ichigo steeped closer to her father, grabbing on a fold in his robe. "Daddy?" 
 Miroku automatically picked her up and placed her on his shoulder. "Why do we meet him together OK?"
 "OK!"
 "I'll get him, you stay here," Inuyasha walked out toward a tall tree. The one where, like father like son, Inuyasha used to spend his free time, and his son the same.
 "Hey come on there's someone we want you to meet, get down."
 "Do I really have to say hi to a girl?"
 Inuyasha chuckled to himself as he pictured the scrunched up 'Eew' look that must be on his son's face.  "Yes, come one it will mean a lot to your mother."
 A sigh "Fine, but you have to catch me."
 "Deal" Inuyasha held his arms out at ready, which we filled seconds later with a small boy. "Come on you'll like her I bet."
 When Miroku and Inuyasha set down their respective charges the adults were surprised that the kids just stood their, grabbing onto their Father's legs, staring at each other.
 Ichigo was puzzled. Standing in front of her was a shirtless boy, who was very dirty. He wore purple beads, with random teeth around his neck. He had longer hair than her, it was down to about his mid back. It was a silver black color. Ichigo thought it looked very pretty. On his cheeks were two purple stripes, one on each side. But the scariest thing was that fact he had no ears, except for two dog ones on the top of his head. She slowly let go of Miroku's leg and walked over to the boy. The boy just stared back at her, confused as she reached out her hand. Confusion turned to rage as she grabbed his ear and tugged.
 "OW! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR BITCH!" He yelled. She jumped back.
 Kagome slapped Inuyasha on the back of the head. "What did I say about teaching him those words!"
 Ichigo was already back behind Miroku's leg.
 "Now Junior, calm down she didn't know" Inuyasha knelt down by his son, who was rubbing his head in pain.
 Ichigo blinked as she looked at Inuyasha's head more closely. Her eyes widened "He's got them to!" She yelled as she burst out form behind Miroku's leg "Cool"
 Miroku knelt down, "Heh well I guess we didn't tell you because we were so used to it but, Inuyasha and I'm guessing his son, are part dog demon. So they have dog ears"
 Ichigo walked over to Junior and Inuyasha, the former moving closer to the later. "Do you have tails too?" She asked, looking behind them.
 "Uh....no..sorry we don't have tails, but we do have-"
 "Inuyasha you finish that sentence I will murder you," Kagome threatened.
 "What'd I? Your sick Kagome!" Inuyasha glared at his wife.
 Introductions were made, talk was exchanged, pretty soon the group made their way inside.
 "Is lady Kaede still here?" Miroku asked as he walked into her old home.
 "Yea of course, she lives down the road, We're living in this house since I'm a priestess as well." Kagome explained. This triggered some talk about 'the old days'
 "Hey I got an idea, Junior why don't you take Ichigo out and about huh" Inuyasha suggested to his son.
 "Do I have to..." Junior whined
 "Yes, She's company," Kagome replied.
 "But she's a girl, we won't be able to do anything fun,"
 Both Miroku and Sango bit back a tiny chuckle at that statement as Ichigo loudly protested.
 "Hey I bet I could beat you at anything"
 "Bet you, you couldn't"
 "And there is only one way to find out," Inuyasha picked both the kids up and plopped them outside the door. "Have fun" He smiled as the door shut in the children's faces.
 "Now was that necessary?" Sango asked as Inuyasha came back in 
 "Nahh but it was fun. so anyway," And the adults went on talking.

 

 "Stupid adults," Junior growled at the door, he glanced back at the girl. "So you think you can beat me, how about a race?"
 "OK!!!!" the girl crouched down. "To where?"
 He pointed to the forest of 'Inuyasha'. "There's a well in that forest, if you just follow the trail you'll find it, first one there wins."
 "That's not really fair you know where it is"
 "Fine you can have a head start if ya want," Junior smirked. "I mean since your a girl and all."
 Ichigo nodded determined "No I'll win"
 "Fine ready set. GO!" Both kids ran off, surprisingly Ichigo leaving Junior in the dust.
 Junior growled. He was supposed to win, he tapped in to some of his demonic power and ran a little faster.  Sadly he didn't get the natural speed his father had but still he was pretty fast. Pretty soon he was in front of Ichigo. It was a close race, ending with Junior just barley hitting the side of the well before Ichigo plowed right into him.
 "Ow Damn what the hell couldn't you stop?" Junior taunted as he rubbed his head again.
 Ichigo moved off of him. "I'm sorry, but yea I couldn't stop."
 "Well, your a girl what do you expect?"
 "Hey don't make fun of me just because I am girl i have you know-"
 Ichigo got cut off from her statement as the two children heard rustling in the bushes. Both of them put their backs to the well and scooted closer together.
 "What was that?" Ichigo whispered.
 Junior looked around, "I'm not sure"

 

 Back where the adults were, all four of them jerked their heads up at the same time.
 "Do you feel that?" Sango asked no one in particular.
 "Yea, but why we don't get many demons here," Kagome replied puzzled. "The Kids!"
 Both Inuyasha and Miroku stood up and ran out, followed by Kagome and Sango.
 "Junior, what is that thing?" Ichigo asked as the large wolf-like thing loomed closer.
 "I don't know, I think its a type of demon." Junior looked around, "Where's my dad?" Both the children shivered as they backed as far as they could into the well and the wolf thing was still coming closer.
 "Let's make a run for it" Junior finally decided. Ichigo nodded. "All right on three, One. Two. THREE!" Junior leapt up and ran as fast as he could. He stopped and looked behind him as her heard no sound of someone following him. He paled. Ichigo was on the ground with the wolf thing above her. He didn't know what to do but his decision was made up as he heard slight voice's calling his name. He ran as fast as he could toward the direction of the voices. Bursting form the bushes, he didn't even take the time to make sure his hunch was right. "Ichigo. Wolfthing. Over there!" He ran back to the well, followed by the adults.
 "What were you guys doing?" Inuyasha yelled as he ran.
 "Nothing we raced to the well."
 When the reached the well Miroku shot forward and grabbed Ichigo, who was bleeding badly from the stomach.
 Sango gasped. "Oh god," She looked around as Miroku cradled the little girl.
 Kagome reeled on Junior. "What was it that attacked, what was it?"
 "It was a big wolf thing." Junior sad, trying not to cry.
 "Well, it's gone now," Inuyasha stated as he kicked some random brush. He reeled around as he noticed the totally absence of sound "Why isn't she crying."
 "I don't know" Miroku answered panicked. "She's just staring into space"
 Kagome suddenly jumped up "It was a wolf thing?" Junior nodded. "Come on we have to get to the village now."
 It started when they reached the village. Ichigo stared thrashing and clutching her head. Miroku almost dropped her when he heard a growl. "What's happening?"
 "Ever heard of werewolves?" Kagome asked as she ran looking for Kaede.
 "What about them," Sango asked worriedly, holding her daughter's hand.
 "That kinda was like one, except turns whoever it bites into a full demon. That's why I need to find....KAEDE!" Kagome ran to the wise woman and explained everything.
 They laid the thrashing girl on the floor, noting the new wolf ears on her head, claws on her hands, fangs in her mouth, and her blood red eyes.
 "Sadly there is no why for thee to make her fully human again, but fortunately there is a way to make her at least half human and to quell the demon in her. You'll need to hold her down." Kaede went to go get the necessary materials, while Miroku held down Ichigo's arms and Inuyasha took the legs. Kaede came back with a necklace of jade green beads and wolf fangs. " These necklaces are powerful, depending on the color of the beads and the spell you use. "
 Everyone watched as Kaede said the spell and the beads went around Ichigo's neck. A sigh of relief was had when Ichigo stopped thrashing, her ears and claws disappearing. Her blood red eyes went back to her natural blue. The fangs however only shrunk a little in size and were still really noticeable. She was still out cold, however.
 "There, no we must cleanse and take care of this." Kaede said as she started to clean the wound on the stomach. Kagome and Sango helped. Inuyasha was in the corner consoling Junior, as Miroku just stroked his little girl's hair.
 "I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you," Miroku whispered softly. He glanced at his cursed hand, "And I don't think I will be for that much longer."
