Chapter Twelve: Going To School Early? More Fun Than You Think

 

 

Early the next day Inuyasha picked Kagome up at her house and took her to school. “Can we be in the school this early?” Inuyasha asked as they let themselves in. “And don't you have to have permission to put up flyers?”

“Already taken care of, Yasha darling. And if the doors of the school are unlocked we can come inside.” Kagome pulled a stack of flyers out of her backpack and handed them to Inuyasha. “Hold these.” They wondered around the school putting the flyers on bulletin boards, the walls, taping them to the doors of a couple classrooms and slipping them into lockers. Kagome made a point of putting one in Kikyou's locker. “So she can't complain nor can she crash it.” Kagome explained. It was still rather early when they finished. “What should we do now? It's still at least twenty minutes until even the early bird teachers and students show up.”

“I don't know.” Inuyasha answered. “Hey what's in here?” He looked at a plain brown door next to them. “I never noticed it before.”

“It's the secret teacher's lounge.” Kagome answered. “The other one's just a cover up. They tried to make this one look like a janitor's closet so students wouldn't try to sneak in, but I've caught teachers going in and out of it.” Kagome smiled. “Lets go in.” She tried the door. “It's locked.” She pouted.

“No worries my lady. You have me, step aside please.” Inuyasha gently pushed Kagome aside and set to work picking the lock with a claw. A couple minutes went by when they heard the soft click of an unlocking door. “Cool, huh?” asked Inuyasha standing and opening the door. “After you.”

“Yeah that was cool.” Admitted Kagome stepping into the room. Inuyasha stepped in behind her and shut the door. “Next time I get locked out of the house I'm calling you.”

“I'm forever at your service.” Inuyasha told her.

“Of course you are.” Kagome said smiling. “Hey this place is really cool.” The room was bigger than it appeared from the outside. When you first stepped in you were in a sort of kitchen. There was a big fridge, a sink, a stove, and some cabinets. On the side farthest from the door there was two long couches, an armchair, and a big screen TV. Between the kitchen and living room area there was a wide empty space with a stereo system up against the wall.

“I bet they have some fun parties in here after hours.” Inuyasha said opening the refrigerator. It was chock full of soda and snacks there were a couple of lunches in there too. He opened the freezer next; ice cream and Popsicles galore. Along with some frozen apple pie and a couple of TV dinners. “A teacher could live in here if they needed too.”

“Yeah, lets help them get rid of some of that ice cream.” Kagome elbowed Inuyasha so he'd move over then grabbed a container of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. She rummaged in the cabinets and found a bowl and a spoon then dished herself up some ice cream. Inuyasha grabbed a chocolate covered vanilla ice cream bar. They sat down on the couch and turned on the TV. “Do you like cookie dough ice cream?” Kagome asked.

“Never tried it.” Inuyasha said. Suddenly he had a spoonful of ice cream in his mouth.

“Isn't it good?” Inuyasha nodded then swallowed the ice cream.

“Delicious.” He looked at Kagome who was channel surfing. She had ice cream on her lips. “You're a messy eater.”

“Huh?” Kagome looked into a mirror and saw the ice cream. “Oh,” she started to lick it off.

“Let me.” Inuyasha turned her face to his and licked the ice cream from her lips then kissed her. “The ice cream tastes even better on you.”

“You sure know how to flatter a girl Inuyasha.” Kagome turned off the TV. “Have some more ice cream.” She spooned some ice cream into her mouth than pulled Inuyasha in for another kiss. Soon the bowl was empty and on the floor and Kagome and Inuyasha were making out pretty heavily. Then they heard the doorknob rattle and froze. Voices sounded outside the room. The knob rattled again then they heard footsteps walking away. Inuyasha sighed in relief.

“That was close. We should get outta here.”

“Yeah.” They got off the couch. Kagome pulled her shirt down, it had gotten pushed up when Inuyasha snaked his hands underneath it. Inuyasha hunted for his rubber band so he could put his hair back into it's low ponytail, Kagome had pulled it off and threw it so she could bury her hands in his hair. Inuyasha found his rubber band and Kagome dropped the ice cream bowl into the sink and they left making sure the door locked behind them.
