Eyes all looking in for something within

Kagome walked through the down pour above her. She had, had enough, no more of InuYasha running to the dead corpse, no more of this... thing coming after her. Kagome pulled the battle axe which she had taken from Miroku, how he got it was a good question. Kagome flicked her head back, her long black locks stuck to her face and her neck. Her clothes cling to her body tightly. She stepped on the soft ground, her shoes filling up with water. Kagome gripped the hilt of the battle axe as she saw the dime lights of soul's surrounding Kikyo and InuYasha. They were locked in a warm loving embrace. Kagome twisted her wrist swinging the axe around in a clock-wise motion. Kagome stomped forward. Kikyo's soul collectors turned their heads toward Kagome. Kikyo ignored their actions. She simply pulled out of InuYasha's embrace. He looked down at her. According to InuYasha no one could be as perfect as Kikyo, only Kagome, but he would never let anyone know. InuYasha bent down and caught Kikyo's lips with his own. Kagome stormed forward, her anger about to burst out of her. Kikyo's soul collector charged forward hoping to cut off Kagome. She pulled the battle axe back cutting through their silky bodies. Kagome smirked. She saw InuYasha and Kikyo that was when she got the idea. Kagome pulled he arm back and threw the axe, it circled and twisted in the air. The battle axe connected with the tree that Kikyo was leaning on. She pushed InuYasha back, both turning to Kagome. She had a smirk on her face. She pulled a single hand up and waved. It was actually intimidating to Kikyo.

"Oh, was I interrupting something?" Kagome asked with a smile.

"Kagome, I can explain," InuYasha franticly pushed Kikyo behind him, trying to conceal Kikyo from her view. Kagome tilted her head to the side and gave a confused look.

"Oh InuYasha, I don't care about that anymore, you can choose Kikyo of all I care, but..." Kagome's grinned but then her face went straight. "She'll be dead before she hits the ground"

InuYasha was taken back. Kagome made a threat toward someone.

"Kagome, are you okay?" he asked. Kagome smiled as she moved closer to InuYasha and Kikyo.

"I've never been better…"

Now everything I say gives this all away
Senses deadened again
Nothing lives today
Not in here
Here in your head

InuYasha pushed Kikyo back.

"No Kagome, there is something wrong with you, you'd never threaten anyone," InuYasha stated.

"You're right InuYasha," InuYasha sighed.

"Thank Go-"

"Kikyo isn't just anyone…" Kagome turned her gaze to InuYasha, her eyes quickly flashed from brown to pink. InuYasha was thrown to the side and clasped to a tree. The branches seemed to bend and hook around his slim body. InuYasha struggled with the branches around his neck and arms.

"Kagome, what are you-"

"Settling this once and for all," Kagome walked up to the tree, she grasped the battle axe and pulled it out. She turned to Kikyo. Kikyo glared at Kagome.

"Ready to die?" Kikyo asked.

"Are you?" Kagome pulled the hilt back and smashed it into Kikyo's face knocking her back.

Kikyo tripped over a root and landed face first. She rolled to the side, right before she saw the battle axe blade, come down by her side. Kikyo looked back. Kagome went to pull the blade back. Kikyo kicked her foot, her foot connected with Kagome's hands. Kagome pulled her bruised hands back. She launched herself at Kikyo. She crawled away before Kagome landed on her. Kagome landed on all four feet. Kikyo stood up, and kicked her foot up knocking Kagome in the jaw. Kagome jolted back and fell on her butt. She went in for another kick, but Kagome grabbed her feet. She twisted it side ways, but Kikyo when it with it and fell to the ground. They both jumped to their feet.

Kagome ran at Kikyo, she went in for an upper cut, but Kikyo hooked her arms around her one arm. Kikyo pulled Kagome up and over. Kagome landed on her back, she rolled over before Kikyo's foot came down on her chest. Kagome leaned up on her knees and pushed herself up. Kagome crossed her arms, blocking Kikyo's right armed punch. Kagome ducked down and ran at Kikyo catching her by her waist. Kagome pushed Kikyo down. She remained standing. Kagome panted. Kikyo jumped back up in a gi dan* blocking position. Kagome shifted her arms, she ran at Kikyo once again. Kagome punched upwards. Kikyo reached her fore arm up blocking in, only for Kagome to give her an upper cut into the gut. Kikyo coughed up spit as she gripped her stomach. Kagome took another swing only to meet Kikyo's elbow. Kagome fell backwards. She rested her on her hands. Kagome licked up the bit of blood dripping down from her lip.

"Not bad, for a dead corpse..." Kagome said. Kikyo stood there, her arms out in front of her on the ready.

"Well you haven't seen what I can really do," Kikyo said.

"Really?" Kagome crawled to her feet. She smiled and flicked her hair back. "Show me!"

Felt that I belonged
And now I feel that gone
Where it all went wrong
I traced it all along
Back here again

There was something calling me to negativity
Dark covering me
Shrouding every scene I'm cast in

Kikyo concentrated her energy into a small ball and forced it forward at Kagome. Kagome pulled her hands out in front of her. She struggled to keep it from entering her. She was being pushed back by the force.

"Oh, so you want to play like that!" Kagome grunted and pushed the ball of energy back behind her. Kagome smiled. Her miko aura started to rise out from under her. The ground shook, and the trees swayed from side to side. The wind picked up blowing her hair in front of her. The lighting and thunder stormed behind her. Kagome trusted her hand forward, the power erupted out from her finger tips. Kikyo held her hands out to cover her face, but she realized it was just a light show. Kikyo opened her eyes only to meet Kagome's fists. She gave it most of her might. Kikyo was knocked back HARD; she felt her nose bone snap under the pressure. Kikyo was jolted back and slammed into a tree. Kikyo slowly slid to the ground. Kagome snapped her knuckles. Kikyo panted as she looked to the side. There was the battle axe. Kikyo slipped her hand back and gripped the hilt of the axe. Kagome walked towards her, her long black hair stuck to her rosy cheeks.

"Is that all you got?" Kagome asked. Kikyo smirked.

"No," Kikyo pulled the axe out and slashed it across Kagome stomach. She fell backwards. Kagome gripped her bleeding stomach. Kikyo took another swing at Kagome. Kagome caught the blade with her hands. She slowly stood up. Kagome Pushed back on the blade causing it cut her hands. Blood dripped from the wounds as it slowly pooled. Kikyo pushed harder on the blade. Kagome felt the cold metal enter her hand. Kagome pulled her hand back and slugged Kikyo in shoulder. Kikyo flung the battle axe in the air.

InuYasha turned to the forest as he heard the girl's conversation. InuYasha slowly heard the sounds of something cutting through the air.

"What the-"

The battle axe swiftly embedded it's self about 3 inches from InuYasha's face. His face lost all color suddenly, InuYasha turned his had back to the slightly colored objects fighting.

`I don't know who to worry about?' InuYasha thought. He gulped still struggling with his restraints.

Both girls stood their panting. Blood pooled under Kagome, as her left arm hung low. Kikyo's nose was bleeding heavily, her clothes muddy and wreck. Kagome's feet started slip. Kagome's knees buckled, and she fell to the ground. Kikyo dropped down. They panted heavily.

"Why... Are you trying to kill me?" Kikyo asked. Kagome chuckled.

"My god you're stupid? Now I know why you died!" Kagome yelled. She gripped her ribs. That last laugh took a lot out of her.

"Don't mock me. The second I kill you my soul will come back to me, and I will be human..." Kikyo smirked. "And then I'll have InuYasha all to myself."

Kagome looked at Kikyo.

"You realize he's a package deal?"

"A what?"

"A package deal, you know, the second you take InuYasha his friends will fallow," Kagome stated.

"Well then we'll have to do something to fix that?" Kikyo said with a smirk. Kagome's face fell as she stared into her cold eyes.

"You touch them, and I swear-"

"You swear what! I know that I'm going to be the one to walk away from this stupid battle, besides if you try and kill me my mate will come to my side and murder you," Kikyo pointed out.

"Maybe..." Kagome reached behind her and felt a log. She gripped it, slowly coming to her feet. Kikyo looked up at Kagome's slowly rising figure. "But I can still try,"

Kagome pulled her arm back slamming the log into her cheek, and knocking Kikyo back onto her back.

If you could be there for me when I crack
The answer came
I found it buried in the trash there
I saw it stare

Kagome jumped on top of Kikyo hooking her legs around Kikyo's waist and pinning Kikyo's arms down. Kagome pulled her fists back and started to beat on Kikyo. She locked her fist together and slammed them into her cheek. Kikyo turned and coughed up mass amounts of blood. Kagome cupped Kikyo's face and smashed her fists into it.

"This. Is. For. A. Of. The. Pain. You've. Cause. Me!" Kagome said in between punches. Kikyo let out a loud cry for help. InuYasha jolted up. He began to struggled with the branches until he finally broke them. InuYasha heard Kikyo's cries. He hesitated to run after her, but then his feet just moved on their own. He raced through the forest running to Kikyo or Kagome's aid.

"Get off me!" he heard Kikyo yell. He heard the sound of Kagome yelling and groaning. InuYasha ran into find Kagome caught in a cat like position, covered in mud, blood dripped from her wounds.

"Did like the feeling of me over powering you?" Kagome asked. Kikyo pushed herself up.

"Shut up!" Kikyo yelled. She suddenly felt lighter. InuYasha came behind Kikyo and pulled her up to her feet. Kikyo turned around and hugged InuYasha tightly.

"Oh InuYasha! She's a monster!" Kikyo sobbed wildly, hugging him tighter and tighter. InuYasha patted his back. He watched Kagome pulled herself onto her feet. Kagome smirked as she wobbled over to them.

"Hiding behind InuYasha, my god Kikyo you've sunk to a low level?" Kagome chuckled. Kikyo smirked, she knew that Kagome was close enough, she whipped around and gave one good punch. Kagome jolted back and was thrown back, she landed in a huge puddle of mud, as the rain poured down on her. Kikyo shook her fist.

"That really hurt," Kikyo said softly. She slowly walked over to Kagome body, her mouth hung open a little as her eyes were brown and lifeless. Kikyo bent down and moved her hair out of her face.

"All it took was one good punch..." Kikyo said. InuYasha smelt the air, that was when a familiar scent hit the air.

"KIKYO GET BACK!" InuYasha yelled. Kikyo turned her back to Kagome. Kagome suddenly came back to life and grasped Kikyo's neck. She twisted her over, Kagome straddled Kikyo's waist as she began to smashed her head off the ground. Kikyo was knocked out for a second, so Kagome got up. She looked back at InuYasha and began to walk. She noticed the battle axe trapped in the tree about a good 10 feet from her. She went to go for it when InuYasha arm went in front of her. She turned her head to him.

"Kagome, what's happened to you?" InuYasha asked.

"Let me pass..." She said coldly. InuYasha looked back, he too saw the axe. He looked back at Kagome.

"You can't kill her..."

"Watch me," Kagome went to walk forward only to knocked off her feet by InuYasha.

"I don't want to hurt you InuYasha..." Kagome said getting to her feet. She went to move only to see InuYasha's arm come at her again. Kagome reached out and grasped it with both hands, pushing it back.

"That doesn't mean I won't!" Kagome yelled before smashing her elbow into his gut.

InuYasha gasped. He raised his one fist to her, only for her own fist to clench it.

InuYasha raised his other fist, again to have her catch it. They were hand in hand. Kagome was about 4 inches from his face. She hit her head forward, head butting him square in the face. InuYasha fell back and squatted by a tree. Kagome got the chance to run. She raced for the tree, grasped the hilt of axe and spun around. Kagome smashed her back into the trunk panting. She didn't want to have to hack InuYasha into a thousand pieces to get to one woman. Kagome panted, she closed her eyes.

`It's now or never...' Kagome gripped the axe and turned back to Kikyo lying in the mud. Kagome walked slowly over to Kikyo, almost like time slowly down just for this one minute. Kagome glared at Kikyo. She raised the battle axe up. Kikyo whimpered. Kagome went to pull it down when something slammed into her back sending her forward. The battle axe slid to the side. Kagome coughed and pushed herself up. She saw InuYasha panting. (A/N- they like to do that? Panting?) He gripped his chest, almost like Kagome had shot him with an arrow.

"I wish you'd stay out of my business!" Kagome yelled.

"Kagome, what's wrong with you! You'd never hurt anyone!" InuYasha yelled. Kagome looked to the side. She reached for the battle axe. Kagome looked out the corner of her eye, she saw InuYasha dive for her. Kagome turned her head to him. InuYasha noticed her eyes go black. She raised her hand up to InuYasha.

"GET BACK!" she yelled. InuYasha saw the miko energy come straight at him. InuYasha was thrown back, he kept on going until he smashing into about 5 tree's bringing him to a halt. InuYasha lay in the wreckage, beaten to a pulp.

Kagome stood up, she pushed her hair out of the way as small tears creped down he face. She looked up, the thunder suddenly got louder and the lighting struck the sky harder, lighting up the sky. Kagome chuckled as she looked down a Kikyo, who was still struggling to get up. Kagome looked down, there was the battle axe. She then looked at Kikyo. Kagome bent down and gasped the battle axe and started to walk to Kikyo. Kikyo looked up at Kagome, she never thought she'd die at her hands. Kikyo raised her hands to her face.

"You can't kill me..." Kikyo said smugly. Kagome raised the battle axe up and over her head.

"Wanna' bet?" Kagome asked. Kikyo looked at her with shocked eyes.

"Give me a second chance?" Kikyo pleaded. Kagome smirked.

"Whore's don't get a second chance!" Kagome yelled. (A/N- I got that from Identity)

"NO!" Kikyo screamed. Kagome brought the battle axe down on Kikyo. Kagome pushed hard through the lock. Kagome felt Kikyo's blood spatter on to her face. She pushed harder and harder, hoping to break through the bone. The flesh curled around the axe's blade as Kikyo's arms rose into the air. Kagome ignored Kikyo's scream, as she grunted and finally broke through the bone. Kagome felt the power of the swing when a loud snap echoed through the air. She pushed one last time as the head came off freely. It went in the air only for about a second, when finally it hit the ground. Kagome fell back onto her butt. She smirked and laughed until realization hit her. Kagome gasped and placed her hand onto her mouth.

`I just kill someone...' Kagome thought. She looked to see the flesh, almost melt off the bones. The bones then turned to ash and disappeared into the wind. All that was left of Kikyo was her miko uniform. Kagome saw a small light rise up from under the clothing. Kagome looked oddly at the light until it flew towards her. Kagome felt like she'd been shot as the small orb entered her body and seemed to merge with her. Kagome gripped her chest.

"The rest of my soul..." Kagome said softly. She was whole again. The rain started to pour down harder then ever, on her. Kagome's clothes were soaked to the bone. She shivered slightly. She heard a twig snap, as a reflex, Kagome grabbed the axe, and still on ground she raised it over her head. She looked to see InuYasha standing there looking at her like a lost puppy. Blood fell like tears down her cheeks. She didn't care about the mass about of blood dripping from her stomach wound. She slowly dropped the axe down. Kagome went to stand, her knee's buckled under her weight, and she fell back down. InuYasha dashed to her side and picked her up bridal style. Kagome sniffed and then curled up close to InuYasha. She finally felt complete. She looked up.

"I know you think I'm a monster..." Kagome said softly. InuYasha looked down at her.

"I could never think that," he said smiling. It was like InuYasha jut forgot what happened. Kagome turned her head down, she smirked.

`Good Times...' She thought to herself
