Chapter 2:Come get me!

 

Kagome flipped her hair over her shoulder. She wasn't expecting to fight her-almost-employer. Fortunately her clothes were simple and easy to move in.

 

Taking a steadying breath Kagome launched herself forward towards Sesshoumaru. The bored expression he gave her annoyed her to no to extent. She jumped to the left and pretended to strike his side, which he nimbly dodged. She feinted up, but instead dropped to the floor and tried to dropkick him.

 

Quickly he jumped above her swinging leg and made a sharp jab at there stomach. Which she pared with a flick of her wrist and a small flip over his arm as she grabbed it.

 

"Ha! You're done for Mitsurugi! You're at a disadvantage!" She huffed as perspiration dripped into her eyes and her clothes stuck to her body.

 

"Oh am I?" his voice never changed but Kagome knew something was about to happen. Suddenly he straightened lifting his arm up with Kagome still hanging off it. He ripped her arms off his and held her with both hands setting her back on her own two feet.

 

With one swift motion he kicked her legs out from underneath her and pinned her to the ground.

"I do believe you have lost." A devilishly sexy smirk appeared on his long slender face. The rush of adrenaline her body had disappeared in that instant. A frown was on her face and she zoned out.

 

`No I didn't lose!'

 

`But you did.' A sinister voice whispered to her.

 

`No! No I couldn't have lost! It's just not possible! No one has beaten me since I was seven.' One glance up at the man above her told her, she had lost.

 

Sesshoumaru got up off her and brushed imaginary dust off his pants and dress shirt. "You're hired. When can you start?" The man took the sword from her and replaced both of their weapons on their respectful places. Than he walked to the door and turned slightly to face her.

 

Kagome's picked herself up off the floor. And stood still her mouth opening and closing as she tried to get herself to make some sort of noise. Finally she managed to squeak out "As soon as you want me too."

 

"Good you can start now." He said as walked out of the room. When Kagome didn't follow him he stopped and backed up into the room. "Are you coming or not?" he said with a glance in her direction.

 

"Oh hm? Yes." She snapped to attention and ran towards him.

Kagome followed the white-haired wonder down the hallway of the eleventh floor. Even though the hallway was sparkling clean there were dents in the wall. `Dents? What is this place? A house for escaped convicts?' wondered Kagome.

 

Kagome glanced around in awe as she walked. The narrow hallway they were in split into two larger hallways. Sesshoumaru came to a halt, which caused Kagome to bump into him.

 

"Oh, so sorry." Kagome exclaimed but Sesshoumaru ignored her.

 

He pointed one slender hand to the left. "This hallway leads to the employee's lounge and Cafeteria. There is a map halfway down the hallway in case you don't where you are." Kagome nodded to show she got that, he put his hand down and tilted his head visibly to his right "And this hall leads my office and the office of many essential people in my business."

 

Without another word he headed to the right. And rushing right up to him was a lean girl with her auburn hair up in two pigtails.

 

She ran down to Sesshoumaru and stopped running at the last possible moment. She looked innocently up at him and a smile light up her whole face. "Sesshoumaru-sama, you should smile more often! If you don't your face could permanently be frozen in that frown of yours!" She chided him and ran off before he said a word.

 

"And that," he said turning to look behind himself at Kagome "Was one of my employees named Ayame, she is Kouga Nitome's secretary. Don't worry she loves to talk so you will find out more about her in lunch." With that said he continued walking.

Sesshoumaru opened the door of the last part of the hallway before it turned again. The open door revealed a white-walled room with a black carpet, and on the ceiling an elaborate mural of a huge white dog howling at a full moon.

 

The desk sat at the back of the room with a black computer chair, which was swivelling back and forth.

 

The computer chair held another male with long unruly hair who was currently facing the other way staring out the huge bay windows.

 

Suddenly the chair swirled around and revealed a young man who was defiantly related to Sesshoumaru. There was no doubt that they were related, they each shared the same traits, long white hair, animal-like eyes, fangs and an inhuman grace.

 

The male cracked a smirk "Yo! Fluff-ball! Who's the bitch?" a haughty voice rang out. A malicious glint appeared in his eyes like he was challenging Sesshoumaru.

 

Sesshoumaru just looked unfazed and barely gave the younger man a passing glance as he headed towards a file cabinet in the corner of the room. He rooted through the drawer leaving Kagome glaring angrily at the man in the chair.

 

Suddenly Sesshoumaru stopped shifting through his files and looked back over his shoulder at the other man. "Inuyasha, I suggest you shut your mouth. I don't really think my bodyguard likes it when you call her names. And what have I told you about coming into my office when you aren't invited?"

 

"Hey I was done with my work and there was nothing else to do, everyone else was working! The young man whined as he crossed his arms huffily over his chest.

 

`So his name is Inuyasha.' Kagome thought as she dropped her defensive stance.

 

"Inuyasha, if its work you're looking for I'd be happy to give some." Sesshoumaru shot back at Inuyasha, when only silence and a nasty look greeted him Sesshoumaru continued. "Well than Inuyasha you can always go and collect the new information Miroku should be done with."

 

When Inuyasha didn't budge from the seat Sesshoumaru gave him a deadly cold glare. "Now, I expect you to go over all the work he has done in the past week and get it back to me before dinner." He commanded.

 

`Harsh, but he deserved it.' As Inuyasha walked past Kagome and out the door he purposely jabbed his elbow into her side, almost knocking her over.

 

"You'll have ignore him. He doesn't know how to quit when he is ahead." Sesshoumaru said as he handed her some documents he had just found. "Here these hold your contract. Read through them I'll be back in a half an hour."

 

Before Kagome could reply he had left and was headed down the hallway leaving her alone in his office.

 

Kagome gulped "Oh well better get started, these documents shouldn't take me that long to read though." With a tired sigh Kagome walked towards Sesshoumaru's desk and collapsed into his chair.

Kagome flipped through the first pages and barely even looked at what she was supposed to be reading. Out of shear boredom Kagome started whistling. It was a song she had known since her childhood.

 

It began softly and escaladed higher and than back down. It was short and sweet, a song her mother had sang to her to try to get her to sleep. Softly Kagome began to sing the familiar melody as she skimmed through her contract.

 

When I'm lost and I'm scared

When I feel like there's no one who cares

I see you, the dark shining light

The only thing that I live for

 

Her eyes passed down to the lines where she was supposed to fill in information about herself.

 

Name: Kagome Higurashi

Age: 27

Gender: Female

Material Status: Single

 

And other little expected tit bits.

 

But than I realize I couldn't keep you

There's no such thing as forever

At least between me and you

Our differences will drive us away

So I say …

 

"Hmmm, I have the job for one month. Wow short. Ether this guy doesn't expect he will need me that much or he is raring to die." Kagome shook her head, `At least the odds are not against me for being fired. But with him I'll probably be fired before the day is out.'

 

Suddenly the door was knocked and when no reply came from Kagome the door was opened by a brunette with his hair up in a ponytail. He quickly scanned the room and his eyes rested on Kagome.

 

A smirk appeared on his face, fangs protruding.

So really, it is not my writing… *sigh, and his royal fluffiness likes to rub it in* You also must update your story `untitled for now'. I get the meaning, but you must think of something other then `untitled for now'… ^_^

Sess: Never you human girl. *clutches script to chest*

 

Raven: So I win then?

 

Sess: No

 

Raven: You are just signing yourself to another `chapter two' script.

 

Sess: …

 

Raven: Thought so… Plus, you should thank me; I am helping people see the `you' in modern society. Not some cold hearted killer in the feudal era. *cough-softie-cough*

 

Sess: *shouts indignity* I am not soft!

Raven: Right… and you haven't killed Inuyasha yet because you see him as your little brother only. *duck a green, glowing, clawed hand and a backstage crew member* Watch it; I have to pay them you know?

 

Sess: *growling* where is chapter 3?

 

Raven: *hands on hips, speaks in an icy voice* Excuse me your royal coldness, we just finished chapter 2 not too long ago. And now you want me to give you chapter 3 already? What am I, your 24-hour scriptwriter?

 

Sess: *answer meekly* Um… yes?

 

Raven: No way! I have another life besides writing, one that involves school, my job, homework, boys… Wait-

 

Sess: *eyes turning red* what did you say?

 

Raven: *smiles weakly* No, no, no, no, no… No boys, just friends. *Stomps off stage. Note to self: never mention boys in front of his royal coldness-until-he-hears-about-me-and-boys*

 

Inu: *looks at raven's retreating figure* what's up with her?

 

Miroku: *dreamy look on his face* I do not know Inuyasha, but this is perfect. *rubs Sango rear a little more*

 

Sango: *eyebrow ticking* Remove your hand, you stupid hentai! *hits Miroku with Hiraikotsu*
