Guns, Swords, and Youkai Oh My Chapter 3: The Battle Begins

"We're back," Shippo said as they began to climb out of the well.

"Here Sango," Inuyasha said he had jumped to the top of the well and stretched his arm out so Sango could grab it and he could pull her out.

"Why thank you Inuyasha," Sango said, "So you can be a gentleman after all I'm impressed."

"Yeah sure whatever," Inuyasha said and pulled Kenshin out.

"Ok are we all out?" Wolfwood asked.

"Hey guys what about me!"

"Huh oh sorry Needle Noggin I almost forget about you," Wolfwood said, "Here" he said and reached for Vash's hand.

"I can't reach it," Vash said.

"Then jump come on I know you can do it."

"Alright here goes," Vash said and jumped.

"Oh sorry to slow," Wolfwood said and pulled his arm up just before Vash could grab it.

"Oww that hurt," Vash said rubbing his head he had fallen on his face because Wolfwood didn't grab his hand.

"Ok one more time I know you can do it," Wolfwood said.

"No I don't trust you," Vash replied, "Hey Sano can you give me a hand?"

"Yeah sure," Sano said and reached for Vash's hand, "I'm not long enough either your gonna have to jump again."

"Ok I'm coming be ready," Vash said and jumped.

"Hey Sano," Saito called.

"Huh?" Sano said and turned around just as Vash was about to grab his hand.

"Crash!"

"Owwww," Vash wined.

"Saitou," Sano said, " You made me miss Vash."

"That was the whole point," Saitou said, "If he falls enough he just might knock his brains back in."

"Ha ha good one," Wolfwood said.

"Come on you guys we have no time for games," Miroku said and pulled Vash out.

"Were do we go now?" Shippo asked.

"We follow Kagome's scent stupid," Inuyasha said sniffing the ground trying to find Kagome.

"What I want to know is how could Kagura have gotten past all of us last night?" Saitou said.

"I dunno I don't really care I just want to find her and go back," Wolfwood said.

"Agh you men can never be serious can you?" Sango said, "Kagome could be in real danger and you play with Vash in a well then don't even care how Kagome got kidnapped, honestly you guys are hopeless you will never be suitable husbands I'd be afraid I'd be kidnapped and you would be playing let's knock Vash's brains back in while Naraku and Kagura and maybe even Legato and Shishio are tormenting me."

"No I don't think Shishio and Legato are here," Kenshin said, "They wouldn't waste their time here they want to take over Kyoto not Feudal Japan."

"He has a very good point," Miroku said, "I don't believe they are here either they wouldn't waste there time on a place like this."

"Yes I agree with you but we still have to save Kagome whether or not they want to take over Feudal Japan," Saitou said.

"Yeah and we could do that if you would actually start moving," Inuyasha said as he and Shippo continued sniffing the ground searching for either Kagome or Kagura.

"I found them!" Shippo yelled, "Yeah ha ha I found the scent first in your face Inuyasha!"

"You little," Inuyasha said about ready to jump on the little fox youkai.

"Stop it you two we have more important things to worry about besides taking you both to the emergency room because your to immature to stop fighting and work together," Sango said angrily.

"She's right," Kenshin replied, "We need to get to Miss Kagome as soon as possible that we do."

"Shut up scar face," Inuyasha said, "I'm tried listening to you and you're that we do crap!"

"Hey Inuyasha that's quite enough," Miroku said.

"Shippo follow Kagome's scent and show us where she is," Saito said.

"Ok just follow me," Shippo said and started to follow Kagome's scent.

"Hey why'd you pick Shippo to follow it instead of me?" Inuyasha asked.

"Because," Wolfwood said, "You'll just get us lost."

"What I won't get you lost it's following a trail how hard could it be?" Inuyasha asked annoyed.

"Knowing you," Sango replied, "It would be impossible."

"No they just like me better," Shippo said and looked up from the ground.

"Take that back you little raccoon!" Inuyasha said very angry.

"No I don't have to so na," Shippo said sticking out his tongue.

"Why you I'll rip you into little bitty pieces then feed the pieces to that wolf Koga and when he asks "Hey this is good what did you put in it?" I'll say "A little raccoon whose mouth is to large for his face."

"Yeah right you couldn't if you tried," Shippo replied.

"Stop it now this is ridiculous!" Vash yelled.

"Huh?" everyone said and looked at Vash.

"Can't you ever behave like adults your best friend is in trouble and your not doing the least bit of good trying to save her all your doing is acting like idiots now get off your lazy immature butts and help her!" Vash yelled angrily.

"Wow," Wolfwood replied in an amazed voice, "He said some really big words and didn't mess up at all."

"He has fire in his eyes," Saitou said, "That's something you don't see everyday."

"Let's go then," Inuyasha said realizing Vash was right.

"Her scent leads this way," Shippo said and began to lead them to Kagome.

"So she's in there?" Miroku asked.

"Well this is where her scent leads," Shippo replied.

"Well then she must be there come on let's save her, kick butt, and go home," Wolfwood said.

"Well that's a good way of putting it," Sano said, "Short sweet and to the point."

"Yes it is isn't it," Wolfwood said.

"That place is scary looking," Shippo said looking at the tall dark shrine covered in a fog as black as the midnight sky.

"I can barley see through the fog," Sano said, "How can we see our enemies with this here?"

"We don't need to see them," Kenshin replied, "You just feel them."

"What?" Vash asked.

"Shhh just close your eyes can think can you feel the coldness and evil coming from that shrine?"

"Yeah I feel it," Sango replied.

"Now do you feel the heat in some places?" Kenshin asked.

"Yes I do," Vash said, "It feels as hot as the flames from Hades."

"It kind of is," Kenshin replied, "It's their hatred burning like fire inside of them, just concentrate and feel the heat you will be able to tell where they are."

"Does that really work?" Miroku asked.

"Well it works for me," Kenshin replied.

"Well let's get her," Inuyasha said.

"Wait Inuyasha we need a plan first," Sango said.

"We have one Wolfwood said it earlier remember short sweet and to the point."

"That's not a plan," Sango replied, "They will ambush you, you don't know how many there are in there."

"Does it look like I care how many are in there no, so back off we have a good plan."

"Well when you come out with a hole in your ass from where they got you when they ambushed you I'm not going to help you I'm just going to say I told you so," Sango replied you could tell she was getting very irritated.

"Don't worry I won't get a hole in my ass," Inuyasha said.

"Yeah," Sango said quietly so Inuyasha wouldn't here, "You won't get a hole in your ass they will probably try but miss because your butt is about the same size as your brain, it's to small to hit."

"Let's go," Inuyasha said.

"Yeah," they all replied and ran head on into the shrine.

"Three, two, one," Sango began to count, "I know they won't last long."

"Sango, Sango," she heard Shippo call.

"Told you," she said.

"Sango we need your help we where ambushed," Shippo said running to Sango.

"I told you," Sango said.

"Please help them," Shippo begged, "They need your help."

"Well I dunno it's pretty fun to watch you beg, you only do it when you really need my help, but then again needing my help isn't a rare occurrence so I guess I'll be nice and help."

"Oh thank you Sango all you have to do is go in and then follow the screams of pain it will lead you right to them."

"It's a good thing they are such babies, we wouldn't be able to find them without the screams to guide us," Sango said with a laugh. "Ok Kirara let's go save the boys," Sango said as Kirara transformed into a huge cat youkai.

"Come back soon Sango," Shippo said.

"Don't worry I will," Sango replied and climbed on Kirara's back.

"Come on Kirara," Shippo said, "Take care of Sango ok."

"Don't worry Shippo I'll be fine but thanks anyway," Sango said as Kirara ran into the shrine.

"Ok the screams are coming from there so they must be in there," Sango said, "Ok be ready don't drop your guard" Sango said to Kirara.

"AHHHH!"

"Yep they're in there all right," Sango said as Kirara started to walk to the room where the screams where coming from.

"No please let her go, let Miss Kagome go please I beg of you," Kenshin begged at the feet of Naraku.

"I can't believe your begging to him," Inuyasha said.

"Do you think I want to? It's the only way he will let Miss Kagome go," Kenshin yelled angrily at Inuyasha.

"Who said begging was going to make me let her go I'm going to break this pretty little neck of hers," Naraku said as he used his illusory death attack to squeezed Kagome's neck.

"It hurts," Kagome said softly with tears starting to come down her face.

"Kagome!" Vash yelled and began to run to her, "I'll shot you if you don't let go of her now!" he yelled as he pulled out his silver gun.

"Vash no he'll use illusory death on you as well!" Miroku yelled.

"Get out of the way Needle Noggin!" Wolfwood yelled.

"There is nothing we can do for them," Saitou said, "We can't even stop these attacks from Kagura how are we supposed to help them?"

"There has to be some way," Sano said as they dodged Kagura's attacks.

"You will not escape," Kagura said, "You will die along with that girl. Dance Of Blades!" Kagura yelled and threw her attack at them sending them flying to the floor unconscious.

"No Miroku, Sano, Saito, Wolfwood," Kenshin yelled, "How could you do that? They where off guard!"

"Simple you just kill your opponent and that is how this game is played and I say you lose. Naraku may I finish this one off?"

"Yeah go have fun with him," Naraku said as he squeezed the life out of Kagome and Vash.

"Thank you," Kagura replied, "You wont be much of a challenge, Dance Of Blades," Kagura said and used her attack again.

"No you can't!" Kenshin yelled and used his arms to cover his face.

"Hiraikotsu!" he heard Sango's voice.

"Sango!" Kenshin yelled as he saw her hiraikotsu hit Kagura and stop her attack.

"Kenshin are you all right?" Sango asked running to his side.

"Yes I'm fine but we have to save the others," Kenshin replied.

"Yeah, Kirara protect Wolfwood, Sano, Saito and Miroku," Sango yelled.

"Come on let's get Vash and Kagome!" Kenshin yelled, "Inuyasha we need your help! We have to work together to save them!"

"Yeah I know let's get `em!" Inuyasha yelled back, "Here Sango," he said and pick up hiraikotsu and threw it to Sango.

"Thanks," Sango said and caught it.

"Alright let's finish this," Inuyasha yelled and charged Naraku.

"Hiten Mitsurugi style! Ryu Shou Sen!" Kenshin yelled drew his reverse blade sword and attacked Naraku along with Inuyasha.

"What?" Naraku said and turned just enough to see Inuyasha and Kenshin. "No you don't, you cannot beat me!" Naraku yelled, "Illusory Death!" he yelled as more roots appeared and attacked Inuyasha and Kenshin.

"No Way!" Inuyasha said, "These no way he could of saw us coming!"

"We've lost," Kenshin said, "He's got us right where he wants us."

"Not yet he doesn't," Sango said, "Hiraikotsu!" she yelled and threw her boomerang at Naraku. "Now Inuyasha," Sango yelled.

"Yes I get it," Kenshin thought, "Sango is using her hiraikotsu it distract Naraku so Inuyasha can attack him."

"I'm on it Sango," Inuyasha yelled and he and Kenshin jumped as high as they could one over Kagome and one over Vash.

"Iron Reaver Soul Stealer!" Inuyasha yelled.

"Hiten Mitsurugi style! Ryu Tsui Sen!" Kenshin yelled and attacked at the same time cutting Kagome and Vash free.

"You got him," Sango yelled.

"Ah Kagome!" Kenshin yelled.

"Kagome!" Sango yelled.

"Dance of Blades!" Kagura yelled and attacked Kagome as she fell to the ground.

"No Kagome!" Sango yelled again trying her best to save her friend.

"It's too late, it's gonna hit!" Inuyasha yelled.

"Wolf Wind!" a voice yelled as it blasted through the wall of the shrine.

"What was that?" Kenshin yelled as he saw a strong whirlwind hit Kagome just before Kagura's attack could.

"What?" Kagura said confused.

"Mutt- face!" the voice yelled angrily, "I told you to protect Kagome!"

"Oh no not you," Inuyasha said, "Anyone but you."

"Inuyasha who is it?" Kenshin asked staring at the giant whirlwind.

"It's Inuyasha's worst nightmare," Sango replied, "Its Koga."

"I was protecting her!" Inuyasha yelled back.

"Yeah right if you where she wouldn't be hurt!" Koga replied, as the wind was getting stronger as he got angrier.

"A wolf has joined us, I see well no matter he will join you all, you wont be alone in death," Kagura said.

"We'll see," Inuyasha said and charged Kagura at full speed.

"No Inuyasha don't!" Kenshin yelled as he read Kagura's movements noticing she was going to attack again.

"You never learn well I guess you really can't teach an old dog new tricks now can we Inuyasha," Kagura said.

"Inuyasha she's going to use her most powerful attack get out of the way!" Sango yelled.

"Dragon Dance!" Kagura yelled as a huge blast of wind made by her fan flew towards Inuyasha ready to rip him to shreds like the claws of a dragon.

"Inuyasha get out of the way!" Kenshin yelled.

"He's to close there's no way he can avoid it," Naraku said with a laugh.

"No!" Inuyasha yelled.

"Wind Tunnel!"

"Huh?" Inuyasha said as he saw the blasts of wind fly in the other direction right back toward Kagura.

"Ah it's Miroku, he's standing behind Kagura," Sango said.

"He's sucking them back toward Kagura," Kenshin yelled.

"No how can this be?" Kagura said with great surprise.

"You!" Naraku yelled and attacked Miroku.

"Poison Insects!" Naraku yelled as a bunch of bee like youkai headed right for Miroku.

"Oh no Miroku stop he's called his poison insects if you suck them up you will become poisoned!" Sango yelled.

"What no way that can't be possible," Kenshin said.

"Miroku stop!" Inuyasha yelled.

"I'm sorry but there is no other way!" Miroku hollered back.

"He's sucking in the insects!" Koga said holding Kagome tight so she would not be sucked in.

"You're weaker than I thought," Naraku said, "You'd rather die by my poison insects than have your friends hurt."

"Naraku help me I can't hold on I'm going to be sucked in!" Kagura yelled as she was being sucked into Miroku's wind tunnel along with her attack and all the insects.

"I see. We can't fight all of you now can we, well we will return with all the shards and with Legato's help destroy you all," Naraku said and again used his powers to transport himself and Kagura to a safe place.

"What a coward," Inuyasha said, "Every time he gets backed into a corner he runs away almost like someone else I know."

"And who would that be?" Kenshin asked.

"Well isn't it obvious," Inuyasha replied looking at Koga, "He always runs away when he is backed into a corner."

"Well he did save Kagome he didn't run away that he didn't," Kenshin replied with a smile.

"Miroku!" Sango yelled as they both walked over to her.

"Miroku please don't die you can't die," Sango yelled to Miroku who was already very sick from the poison.

"He needs help now," Kenshin said.

"Kagome, Kagome wake up," Koga said as he knelt over Kagome who was still unconscious.

"Huh," Kagome said quietly as she opened her eyes.

"Kagome your all right," Koga said with relief in his voice.

"Koga? What are you doing here?" she asked as she sat up.

"I saved you, you where almost killed because dog breath was busy getting his butt kicked instead of protecting you."

"Oh I see thank you very much Koga," Kagome said getting up, "Ouch my leg, it hurts."

"What your leg hurts?" Koga asked.

"My leg I can't stand up," Kagome said falling to the floor.

"Kagome," Koga replied and grabbed her before she fell and helped her stand. "Now look what you did mutt face Kagome is hurt because of you," Koga said to Inuyasha angrily.

"Yeah well she'll live," Inuyasha replied.

"We need to help Miroku," Kagome said seeing the condition he was in and guessing what he head done.

"But Kagome your hurt," Koga said.

"Yes but I'll be fine, Miroku could die if we don't hurry."

"Yes I see," Koga replied.

"Inuyasha please try and wake the others and do it fast," Kenshin said.

"Yeah sure," Inuyasha said and went to the others who lay on the floor still knocked out.

"Kirara help him wake them up," Sango said.

"Kagome you are all right aren't you?" Inuyasha asked as he walked past her toward Saitou and the others.

"Yes I'm sure I'll be fine," Kagome replied as Koga held her up.

"She'll be fine but no thanks to you," Koga said angrily.

"Koga please claim down," Kagome said, "We don't have time for you and Inuyasha to fight we have to help Miroku now."

"Yeah I got ya," Koga said realizing Kagome was right.

"Ah my head," Wolfwood said as he woke up, "It feels like I had about 50 drinks."

"Nope sorry no drinks just some blasts of wind," Kenshin replied and went to wake up Saitou.

"Ewww youkai drool," Vash said as he opened his eyes and saw Kirara's tongue his face, "Hey what's wrong with Miroku?" Vash asked as he stood up.

"He saved us all," Sango said, "He used his wind tunnel to save us but in doing so he sucked in Naraku's poison insects."

"He did that?" Wolfwood asked.

"Yes," Sango replied.

"Well let's help him," Sano said after he had gotten up.

"I don't really know how we can," Koga said, "His illness is very serious and we don't have anything or even know of anything that can cure it."

"There might be a way," Kenshin said, "My master, Hiko knows a lot about medicine because he has to live by himself he knows of lots of different plants that can make medicine, he will be able to help us I'm sure of it."

"Really do you think he could save him?" Kagome asked.

"I'm almost sure he can."

"Well what are we waiting for let's go," Vash said.

"How will we get there?" Wolfwood asked, "We can't really carry him all the way there he's in no condition to travel he'll die on the way if we try and take him there."

"Well Kagome can ride on Kirara if her leg is still bothering her, she and I can go and you guys follow when he is well enough to start traveling," Sango said.

"Why would you leave early?" Sano asked.

"Well to explain to Hiko what is wrong of course and help him gather plants to make the medicine," Sango replied, "All Kenshin has to do is tell us how to get there or take us there himself."

"Well I think it would be better if I took you," Kenshin said, "Hiko tends to get a little well unfriendly if you just barge in asking him to make medicine for you but if I'm with you he should be more than happy to help, I'll give you guys directions on how to get there after we arrive and Miroku can make the journey."

"Ok that sounds good to me lets take him back to Kagome's until then he can rest there until he is well enough to travel" Saitou said.

"Yeah that will be best," Vash said.

"Well let's go than," Wolfwood yelled he had left them and was almost out of the shrine.

"Hey wait up," Sano said and ran after Wolfwood.

"Inuyasha will you carry him?" Sango asked.

"Why can't the wolf carry him?" Inuyasha asked.

"I'm carrying Kagome," Koga said and picked Kagome up and began to carry her to where the others where headed.

"Well why can't Kirara do it then?"

"Because I asked you to," Sango replied.

"Oh fine" Inuyasha said very irritated, "I'll carry him."

"Thank you Inuyasha," Sango replied, "Come on Kirara let's go back to Kagome's."

"Meow," Kirara said as she transformed back to her kitten form and jumped on Sango's shoulder.

"Hey what's wrong with Miroku and Kagome?" Shippo asked as they walked out of the shrine.

"We had an accident or two," Kenshin replied.

"Oh really I'm glad I wasn't there," Shippo replied.

"Well you're a real nice friend aren't you, you run and hide when ever your friends need your help," Inuyasha replied.

"Hey he's only a child leave him alone," Wolfwood replied.

"Yeah Inuyasha leave him alone," Kagome said as Koga carried her.

"Hurry up Sango your holding us up," Inuyasha yelled back.

"But Inuyasha I'm up here," Sango said, "I'm not holding anyone up I'm leading the way."

"Oh uh… well… who the hell cares we just need to get going," Inuyasha replied angrily and embarrassed.

"Ha ha the half breed just made a fool of himself again," Koga said with a laugh.

"I didn't make a fool of myself I just said something that was wrong don't you even know the difference? Oh wait no you don't you don't know anything you just a stupid wolf who hangs out with other wolves and even picks up their poop all you are is a pooper scupper," Inuyasha yelled to Koga.

"Oh yeah you want to start something with me mutt face," Koga replied angrily.

"Come on now you two grow up," Kagome interrupted, "We have to help Miroku we can't waste time doing this."

"Hey there's the well," Vash said pointing at the well, which was right in front of them.

"No really what did you think it was your mother?" Inuyasha said angrily still carrying Miroku.

"Inuyasha what's wrong with you why are you being such a grouch?" Wolfwood asked.

"Who said I was being a grouch you wanna be?" Inuyasha replied angrily.

"Wanna be?" Wolfwood replied confused.

"Oh forget it you wouldn't understand anything your just a human," Inuyasha said as they neared the well.

"And just what do you think you are mutt face?" Koga replied.

"What are you talking about wolf I'm no human!" Inuyasha said now very angry.

"You're half of one or is your dog brain to small to processes that a human and a youkai mixing together makes a half breed?" Koga asked with a grin on his face.

"What? Why you!" Inuyasha said angrily and threw Miroku in the air and ran straight for Koga.

"Ah Miroku!" Sango yelled as Wolfwood caught him before he hit the ground.

"Wow that was close," Wolfwood said and stared at the battle that was going to take place between Koga and Inuyasha.
