Chapter 2
“I NEED YOU NOSE KISS!” the two year old yelled at the top of his little lungs at the top of the stairs. It echoing threw the whole house, almost compared to him standing in a cave. Yeah it was that bad.
Kagome held the bridge of her nose, trying her hardest to concentrate on her work and to keep the headache down. He had been doing this for over twenty minutes now.
“I NEED YOU FIRETRUCK KISS!” he screamed this time, making his grandmother almost jump out of the recliner she was snoozing in. she looked over towards her daughter and shook her head laughing. Remembering a time when it was quite in this house, and also remembering when it was boring in this house before Logan came into there lives.
“I NEED YOU HUG!” the little boy screamed, putting all he had into that one little cry, Kagome breathed in threw her nose and out threw her mouth, he was getting better, he sometimes would last longer then this but still it was getting better.
She would put him to bed about nine every night except on weekends then it was ten. But ever night he would go threw this routine of running into grandmas lap even at the mention of him going to bed. Then they both -him and his grandma- would have to go threw all these variations on kisses, first it was nose kiss, then fire truck kiss, then ear kiss, then eye kiss, then hug and then a regular kiss, and this at times would take up to ten minutes.
Just so the little booger could delay his bed time that much longer.
Then as soon as she would put him to bed, he would ask her to give him all the kisses, then fix his window -which meant walking over to it and pulling back the blinds- then she would have to turn on his fan and then run downstairs really fast before he realized she was gone.
All this while trying to be quite her self and locking the gate.
“I NEED YOU EAR KISS!” he screamed this time, breaking her out of her thoughts, she looked down at the picture she was inking for class, yep it's ruined, there was now a lovely line going threw the face of the portrait.
She sighed and moved the things out of her lap, her baggy black tank top getting trapped between the books almost like it was try to stop her from putting them down, she began to hold her head, putting pressure where needed be to try and relieve her of the head that she was trying to prevent in the first place.
She'd been going to school for at least two weeks now, it wouldn't hurt to have one project unfinished would it?
“You alright?” her mother asked, flipping threw the channels, finally coming to a stop on what looked like a `Worlds Wildest Police Videos' or something, kagome just rolled her eyes.
“Is that a rhetorical question?” she asked moving to throw her legs over the arm of the chair, getting into a more comfortable position, it may have not looked it, but it was. She too began to watch getting semi- interested in the reality TV show. Her pink pajama pants bunting up at the legs, giving you a peek of the tattoos on her legs.
She looked to her mother, because she could feel her eye on her. “What?” she asked looking around to make sure nobody appeared out of nowhere and was standing behind her. She was paranoid but when people stare at you the way her mother was, you'd be too.
“You met someone, didn't you?” her mother asked pulling her arms out of her blanket and resting them on her lap… oh god she was going into full on `you can talk to me' mood.
Kagome rolled her eyes, how is it that she always knows?
She looked towards her mother with a glare.
“I knew it!” she laughed, throwing her hands in the air, in a weird victory dance kind of way. “You always get that look when you're worried about something, or you've met someone.” She laughed again, this time without the strange victory dance.
“How do you know it was that one, it could be the other one couldn't it?” Kagome said her voice serious and her face plain.
“Is something worrying you honey?” her mom asked, her voice calm almost scared, one look in her mothers eyes and she knew that she was thinking about Kouga.
Kagome threw her legs off the arm of the chair and sat up straight.
“NO, NO! It's nothing like that really everything is fine.” She laughed at herself for being so damn stupid she knew better then to do that. “I kind of met someone…yes” she spoke looking down at her bare feet, digging her toes into the soft warm carpet.
“Well?” her mother asked, a tone kind of in her voice to push her on without being pushy. It always worked too, because by nature she was pushy. She was a mom, and no matter what, moms are pushy.
Kagome sighed, and shook her head. “Well…” she hesitated, looking up into her moms eyes she sighed again looking away. “Well I don't know his name; all I know is that he is a janitor at the school.” She looked to her mother again, she was giving her the look, the `are you kidding' me look.
“Ok...” her mom spoke slowly. “and does this man um…can other people see him?” she barley missed the pillow that was thrown at her, dodging out of the way only to have another hit her square in the face. “Ouch” she muffled.
“I don't like you” Kagome glared jokingly, making sure to put on a smile so her mom knew she was only fooling around.
“Well what am I supposed to think?” her mom laughed moving the pillow away from her face to throw it at her daughter, she missed of course, `pillows just aren't what they use to be.' She thought looking at the discarded pillow on the floor.
“Well… I've noticed him a couple of times, when I come in and out of class. But I don't have to guts to say hi to him, you know how I am. New people make me nervous.” She looked to her mom to see her nodding her head. “I've spoken to him before, but that's only because I dropped my stuff and he helped me picked it up.”
“Well that's a start!” her mom said, happily.
Ever since Kouga, it's almost like she's lost her spirit. She use to be so not caring almost. Not so much a bitch, more like an outspoken person. But here now- a- days you were lucky enough to find her in a crowd of five people.
“I so badly want to say something to him though, but I can't.” she threw her head into her hands. She was hopeless, it was official.
She tilted her head up towards the stairs. Logan had finally given up on screaming for her. Meaning the little booger head was asleep. She sighed with a cross between relief and sadness.

She sat in class bored as ever, she looked it too, her baggy camo green pants hung loosely from her legs that rested on the chair in front of her, and her dark red tank top covered by her denim jacket, she looked comfortable, but bored.
She didn't have anything to do, mostly because she had already finished it.
Late last night after the chat with her mother, she started up a new portrait, she couldn't leave it unfinished. It wasn't in her nature. But this new portrait was a little different from her first, meaning it was of a man instead of a woman now and that it didn't look a thing like her aunt in the least bit but now resembled the janitor that she had become so fascinated with.
She sighed while staring out the window, it was a rainy day, matching her mood completely, and plus the chefs down two halls where baking something sweet, so the halls smelled delicious, making her so badly want a cookie or a piece of cake, she didn't like either so it meant only one thing when she was craving sweets, yes she was about to start her period.
She ground inwardly, but perked up a little when she realized today was Wednesday and that she didn't have class tomorrow, she did a little dance in her head. Because it also meant that she would be able to she her janitor friend, she didn't even know if you'd consider him a friend?
But it was all she had to go on so that would have to do for now, at least until she got his name or something?
She looked towards to clock on the wall just above the door; she had to lean over her desk a tad to see it of course giving a clear view of the tattoos on her chest to whomever was looking.
She sat in the back of the class of course, meaning if she could get farther she would, nobody sat around her. It was almost like being in high school all over again, they actually call her names in this class.
She tucked the black hair behind her ear that fell into her face; it had of course like all the others were probably going to do fell out of its two pencils holding it up.
But she paid them no mind. She wasn't here for popularity at all. Hell she would come to class in her pj's and the `kids' as she called them would be gossiping for days about it.
It was five till, this made her extremely happy. `Only five more minutes' she said to herself. Tapping her feet in anticipation, her nervous habits were bothering people she could tell, but nope that didn't make she stop. She wasn't that nice.
She began to bit her nails. Getting to see that man she didn't know at all always made her so nervous, she didn't know why, it just did. She leaned over to look at the clock again.
This time though, she got a few whistles, these whistles came from the five men sitting two sets in front of her, she rolled her eyes. They were like dogs on a hot summer's day. Panting, well not really, but it would have made for a funny picture.
Those five men were the only ones who really talked to her, well if you call that talking. Ever word out of all their mouths was a cheesy pick up line or a well… a cheesy pick up line.
She looked to the clock again, still not caring about her tank top showing her chest, she wasn't in the least bit modest.
She cheered for joy when the teacher too noticed the clock and dismissed them all.
She was the first to be out the door, when the teacher dismissed them; she wasn't staying another minute in that room.
She looked around for the silver haired janitor while walking down the halls to the exit, but he was nowhere to be seen, she frowned inwardly, he must have the day off or something.
She walked out of the building and to her car. That too as far away as she could get it. But that wasn't her fault, ok maybe it was, she was always the last one here and she never got a good parking spot. But she was always the first one to leave that had to account for something right?
She laughed as she got into her car. She was stupid for chasing a man that didn't even know she existed.
