Inu-Yasha is a Hanyou. He's hated by both humans and demons. He's shunned by his brother, and hunted by those who wish to cause him pain. He never should have been born. Inu-Yasha lives alone. He trusts no one. He lives for no one. He can't love anyone, be accepted by anyone. That is the curse of the Hanyou. When an Ookami is out hunting he stumbles across an angel in a spring and decides that since Inu-Yasha is a half demon that has no worth he can do whatever he wants. But when all is said and done, can the wolf really let him go? When it comes to a time to make a choice can Kouga simply cast Inu-Yasha aside? Maybe there is a reason for his being born? Maybe Inu-Yasha can gain something no other half demon has ever had.
The sun was particularly hot today and the air humid. However that mattered little to the Ookami prince who watched with eager anticipation as the boar wandered obliviously toward its death. The Alpha smirked and licked his lips hungrily, he couldn't wait to get this back to the pack. This boar was a particularly big one; it'd feed everyone well tonight. The Ookami known as Kouga kept crouched low to the ground behind some dense foliage, two other wolves flanked on either side pf him. When he signaled they would all strike with the great might of a hunting pack.
A sigh escaped the silver-haired Hanyou's lips as he sank down into the steaming spring. It truly felt good. This was probably one of the only things he enjoyed, or got to enjoy anyway. Always being on the run made it hard to enjoy much else. Although, because of this the Hanyou found pleasantries in many things others overlooked. Like how the sky could be cast a vibrant scarlet hue when the sunset, watching all the streaks of colors fill the sky. He also loved the forest, which was his home. He loved all the different shades of green the plants could have. Or how they changed so many great colors in the fall. Of course, being born under the curse of a Hanyou the forest was the only thing that did not hate him or try to hurt him, so it was natural that he would form some sort of bond with it. The forest has sheltered him and protected him for as long as he could even remember, and back when he was too small or weak to kill anything he got by on eating the berries, mushrooms and other such plants that grew in the forest. The forest was more like a mother to Inu-Yasha than his human mother had been, since she'd died when he was still very young and vulnerable. Of course, he would never discredit his mother. She loved him and tried her best, he remembered that much at least. The silver dog-ears poking out from the long silvery tresses sprouting from the Hanyou's skull twitched when something shifted. Pausing in his bathing he listened, his sensitive hearing picking up the sound of footsteps and heavy panting. It sounded like dogs. However, the Hanyou's sensitive nose gave a more accurate account.
`Wolves' The Hanyou known as Inu-Yasha wrinkled his nose in disgust. He HATED wolves. They were always such pests, not to mention that for some reason wolf demons were always more aggressive towards him. You'd think with how they chased him down they'd think he was a cat demon or something. `Damn things so stupid they probably think I am one.' Inu-Yasha snorted to himself indignantly as he prepared to get out of the spring before he was caught. He knew he'd traveled further than normal (which meant he was most likely in someone else's territory), but that was because of some pesky snake demon that just wouldn't give up! Damn thing refused to die! He was heading back when he came across this spring and thought it was a good idea to clean up before finding somewhere back in his usual territory to hunker down for some sleep. He'd need it since his time of vulnerability was fast approaching. Suddenly the smell of wolf grew potent and Inu-Yasha gasped, and spun around when he heard a thump behind him. Surprised honey eyes met burning azure blue.
Kouga charged after the boar, the wolves on either side of him splitting off to get to its sides. Each one would dive at the boar when they got close enough and bite into it. Even though they'd be knocked off they would get back up and pick up the chase, and with each bite the boar would weaken and slow down. Kouga smirked as he closed in on the boar, the others backing off as they let their leader deliver the finishing blow with his powerful claws. Kouga's claws dug deep into the boars back, and the boar collapsed to the ground his loud squeals of pain before Kouga took to the task of putting it out of its misery. With a wicked smirk Kouga took the boar by its hind legs and threw it over his shoulder and proceeded to drag it after him back toward their den.
Kouga stared up at the sky, admiring the azure color that his eyes mimicked in color so well. Today was going to be a good day. He'd woken up feeling good and he'd got a good catch. He was doing so good maybe he'd get himself a mate since mating season was just around the corner. In another few moon cycles the games would begin and for Kouga it would be his first. He may have been Alpha but he was still young. He'd managed to challenge the previous pack leader and beat him for the Alpha status. He was probably one of the youngest Alpha's the pack has ever had. The elders were a little worried about the fact that he hadn't mated before, they didn't want that factor to be a distraction when he had obligations to take care of the packs needs before his own. He had to make sure every mature male had a mate, himself included. They didn't want his mind clouded over with lust.
Shaking his head to rid himself of his thoughts Kouga prepared to pick up his pace when two familiar scents entered his nostrils. Kouga laughed when his two best companions waved and raced over toward him excitedly. Kouga continued walking until they met up and the two gawked at the boar he had in his possession.
“Wow! Kouga! That one is huge!” Kouga gave the two white and black haired wolf Youkai a smug look.
“Yeah well.” Kouga stopped abruptly when the cool wind suddenly blew, bringing with it a scent he detested more than anything. Kouga blinked and looked in the direction it came from. Hanyou. But why was it so close?
“Uh, Kouga?” Ginta and Hakaku tried to get Kouga's attention as Kouga sniffed at the air. Kouga didn't know why but oddly, it smelled good.
“Ginta, Hakaku. Take this back to the den.” Kouga ordered as he removed the weight from over his shoulder and offered the hind legs over to the two demons.
“Kouga? What's going on? You're acting weird.”
“Just something to check out.” Kouga answered in a tone that indicated he wouldn't discuss it anymore. Kouga faced the direction the scent came from and growled lightly. Smell good or not, it was not to be allowed in his territory. Kouga wouldn't have some Hanyou ruining his land and stinking up the place. Cutting through the forest with a speed that Kouga was notorious for he followed the scent.
`Damn, worthless Half-Breeds!' He'd get rid of the disgusting hybrid.
Kouga slowed down when the scent was potent enough to indicate that the creature was close. And judging from the smell and steam there was a hot spring the `thing' must have been using. Kouga took in a deep inhale and almost groaned. Damn, it may have been a Hanyou but sure as hell smelled good. Kouga felt a stirring in his groin that made him scowl at his own body. The last thing he needed was to lust after something so despicable. Not to mention he'd seen his fair share of Hanyou's and they tended to come out warped looking. Almost like some sort of deformed human. Their faces were always distorted and some times even body size was ridiculous. Taking a leap up onto a high tree branch strong enough to support his weight Kouga peered down into the spring and blinked. Something… Glistening… It was hair. Long silver hair, and nestled on top of the skull Kouga made out what appeared to be dog-ears.
`Inu-Hanyou huh?' The figure started to wade over to the edge of the nearly chest deep spring and Kouga decided now as the time to confront this unpleasant intruder, despite what the `things' scent was doing to him. Landing with a light thump on the other side of the spring Kouga watched in fascination when the ears on top of the Inu's skull twitched, and not even a second later the body spun around, trapping him in deep honey pools. Kouga froze, almost entranced by the most beautiful creature he'd ever seen walk the face of the earth. The Inu-Hanyou stood in the shallower area of the spring, now exposing from nicely shaped slim hips all the way up to the curious ears on his head. His body was tight with slim muscle, but it had a little bit of an effeminate look to it, maybe almost a little bony. His skin was a nice fair shade without the slightest blemish. Kouga marveled at the creature whose, oddly, raven brows lowered into a glare that didn't even faze the wolf. The Hanyou crouched slightly and flexed his claws, ready to defend himself if needed.
`Shit. Thought I had more time.' Inu-Yasha growled to himself. Just perfect. Not only was he caught by a demon in another territory, but also he was fricken naked!
Kouga stared, mesmerized. The wind blew again and Kouga took in a deep inhale of the Inu-Hanyou's scent, feeling his cock harden and he licked his lips. Inu-Yasha smelled the arousal and his whole body tensed, his face showing his alarm. Kouga noticed this and smirked. This day couldn't have gotten any better. Hanyou's were worthless, they held no worth. No one would care what he did to or what happened to this Hanyou. Kouga licked his lips again and opened his mouth to speak. He was indeed fortunate.
“So, Half-Breed. What do you think you're doing in MY territory?” Kouga spoke his words with authority to let this weak creature know who was in charge. Inu-Yasha shivered a bit from the tone. He knew what that tone meant; it was the tone of an Alpha; he was in some serious trouble this time. Out of all the times in his life that he had been in jeopardy he'd never been in this deep. Inu-Yasha wasn't sure if he could get away with his clothes AND dignity, and that's if this wolf let him live.
`I knew I hated wolves.'
Dun dun! What's gonna happen to our little Hanyou? Lemon? Lime? Fight? Eh? Anyways. How was it? Hope you guys enjoyed this! I'll be trying to update this with the next chapter on Saturday again. Please leave and review and tell whatcha think!
