Halloween Tree.

Disclaimer: I’ll own Inuyasha when they make more Inuyasha episodes.
(Who knows..? Maybe that will/has happen. If it did/has, I probably still wouldn’t own them.)

Have you guys read "The Halloween Tree" before? It's a great book. I only got it because it had pictures but, you know, Thank goodness I got it^^. Well back on topic. This story is based off the book. I only read it a few days ago and I loved it. So, I decided to mix it up a little, Inu’s (basket) style.

Don’t worry, you wont have to read the book to get this story.

By the way, my name is a mixture of two animes. Of course the first one, Inuyasha, and the second is Fruits Basket. Just thought you should know hehe.

-Ahem- now, on with the story

:]

As I made my way home from my first day of school with my little sister, I thought about what I was going to be doing for the next two days. Today was October 29th, and soon it would be Halloween.

You’re probably wondering why I’m about three months late into the school year. Well, let’s just say my other school had some problems with me. I know they want me back though. I could tell by the want in some of the male teacher’s eyes as I walked out on my last day of school there.

So anyways, Halloween. I was thinking about joining my sister, but then again, what’s the point? Halloween was a stupid holiday, and had no point to it. The only reason I joined my sister in the first place was to get candy. Yes I know, it was a stupid, childish reason. But who would let down the offer of free candy when you’re this young? Well, not me. I will admit, I am eighteen and I shouldn’t dress up, but I’m not going to dress up. By this age I should be going to parties and all that fun stuff, but I didn’t know anyone at school yet, and all my neighbors were old people as far as I know.

Another reason Halloween was a waste of time because what was the point of saying “Trick or Treat” When all the candy givers at the door, always gave a treat? Might as well just say, “Give me a treat.” That’s why when ever I went trick or treating (which was rarely) all I said was “Treat”. The person would just look at me weird, but they knew they were going to give me candy anyways. My sister was a different story though. She absolutely loved trick or treating. Not just for the candy, but for the dressing up to. It was so childish.

As my sister and I walked up the stairs to my mother’s house, neither of us talking to each other the whole time, we went inside and greeted our family, or what was left of it.

“Hello Mother” I said in what seemed to be a cold voice to everyone. I don’t know what they’re talking about, since I always talked like this.

“Hey mom! Souta!” Yelled my sister in her loud, chirpy voice, as usual. Now why would I want to sound like her? She sounded like some fruity little kid who just learned how to ride a bike. I like my voice; I think I’m going to stay with it.

“Hello how was your first day of school?” My mother asked, blinking her wide brown eyes towards both of us. In the corner of my eye I saw Souta come down and give my little sister a hug.

“It was great, I met so many new people today, and it’s not even funny. They are all really nice and I like this school much better!” Said Kagome enthusiastically.

“That’s great honey, How about you, Kikyo? “ I could tell that she was regretting that when it came out of her mouth.

Of course I wasn’t going to tell how my day went, since I’m sure my mother was going to be disappointed in me by what I said, but oh well.

“It was…fun. Lots of hot guys I could play around with in the near future.” I said with a smirk sliding across my face.

My mother looked sternly at me, already having closed Souta’s ears. Hey. She asked, I answered.

“Okay then, Well it was nice seeing you again, you may leave now.” Said my mother, turning her back away from me to get dinner prepared.

“Good-bye then, Mother, little sister, twit.” I walked out the door, going to my car that I had left this morning that was in front of the house, and drove home to my nice, warm apartment where someone might, and possibly will be waiting for me.

:]

Kagome went up stairs and into her room, stripped all her clothes off which consisted of a large sweat shirt and jeans that looked like they could have been found in the back of the dumpster, and shoes that were so raggedy, even Good Will wouldn’t want them, and very thick glasses. She walked over to her bathroom and took a nice warm, relaxing shower. She stayed in for about an hour doing nothing, but then decided to wash up and get out. She blow dried her dark, raven long hair, as it naturally went wavy when she was done. She then put on a large T-shirt and pants that she had found in the back of her drawer and used it as something to sleep in. Then like always, she kept her hair up in a low ponytail, none of her bangs aloud to get in her face.

She then thought about Kikyo, her older sister by a year. While they were walking home from the first day of school that day, she had a repulsive look on her face, more than usual. Do not doubt me, Her sister was beautiful, and sometimes Kagome got a insty bit of jealousness because of it, but sometimes, the faces that she made just ruined the whole picture. Kagome sat down in her study chair, and looked up at the mirror that was in front of her.

She had no friends, what she had told her mother was a complete, utter lie, she had had a horrible day, and even more, the people had teased her.

_FlashBack_

Kagome had run into class, out of breath and hands on knees. When she had finally caught her breath, she noticed everyone was staring at her from their desks. She tried to hold her blush down, and walked up timidly to the teacher who just waited patiently for Kagome to ask her what she needed. Kagome gave the teacher her schedule, hoping that she was in the right class this time, for she had already been in two other classes that did not belong to her. The teacher looked at it for a second and gave a small smile.

“Students, I would like to introduce you to...” She paused and looked at the paper. “Kagome Higurashi. Please treat her with the most respect you pigs have. is that understood?

Most of the kids didn’t answer, because they had they’re hands covered and were whispering to the person next to them, talking about how ugly the girl was dressed. Not known to them, Kagome could hear every word.

“What the hell is she wearing…This is high school, she should know how to dress by now!” The person sniggered.

“I know, look at those pants, they look like she’s been stabbed in those, maybe she’s the bad type.”

“No way, I mean, look at those thick glasses, she’s obviously a nerd.”

“Maybe she’s just hiding something behind them, like, scars.”

Kagome had lowered her head, knowing she should have just begged her mother to stay at her old school, at least they loved her nerdy-ness.

Oblivious to what the kids were saying, the teacher gave Kagome a chair right in the front, even though she had preferred the back. When she had sat down, she could feel almost the whole class’ eyes on the back of her head. She put her head against the desk and put her hood up, and hoped this class wouldn’t take too much longer.

.End of Flashback.

:]

Kikyo had just got into her apartment and had taken her shoes off. She looked around to see if there were any visitors, but it seemed like no one was there. She went into her freezer and took out a T.V dinner to eat quickly before she had to go to work. When she had cooked, eaten, and token a shower and was ready for work, she decided to go outside to her balcony to have a quick smoke first. As she lighted the cigarette up, something caught her eye. She looked down and into a dark alley way where she had saw something move, but didn’t see anything there. So she looked back up, thinking that maybe it was a cat or something. As the thought entered her mind, she then saw a flash of silver below her, and she knew cats weren’t silver, well, none that she knew of. She looked around the alley way again; making sure her eyes weren’t fooling her. When nothing happened after about five minutes, Kikyo put out the cigarette, and headed to work.

:]

“Hey Miroku! Need are ride home?”

Miroku looked up from where he was walking to the car that was parked next to him. He smiled as he noticed who it was and jogged over to the car and got into the passenger seat. He looked over at the young girl who was driving the car.

Her name was Sango. She had the most beautiful dark brown eyes, long slender legs that were covered in dark blue jeans, and the figure of a model.

He then looked down at her chest, oh, that beautiful chest that was a 36 C-

“Miroku...My face is up here.” Said an annoyed Sango, using the tone of voice she used when she told someone to back off.

Miroku looked back up to her face and gave the girl a cheesy smile. Sango sighed, and then drove off towards Miroku’s house.

They both lived down the street from each other, so sometimes Sango would offer Miroku a ride, but sometimes she regretted it. The boy was a complete pervert, always groping girls and always saying, “Will you bare my child?”

He had asked Sango that the first time they met once, and got a slap on the face. Miroku’s face hurt for the whole next week.

“So do you need help with homework today?” Miroku asked hopefully.

“Nope, today the homework isn’t too hard, I think I can figure it out, but thanks though for the offer.” She answered. Miroku was a little disappointed. Sango caught the disappointed look and smiled.

“You can come over though still, if you want to.”

At that, Miroku smiled slightly, and nodded his head.

‘Wow’ Miroku thought ‘When did I turn into such a loser?’

After that short talk, and planning to go somewhere a little later, they didn’t say anything for a while, until Sango brought up the new girl that day.

“Have you seen the new girl?” She had asked.

“Yeah, Kagome right?”

“Yup”

“She seems kind of shy.”

Yeah, I noticed that.”

And that was the end of the Kagome conversation.

After another ten minutes or so, Sango was in front of Miroku’s house. He got out and waved bye to her, and waited for her to leave before he went inside.

As he went inside,, he started to take off his clothes, getting ready to take a shower. He stayed in for about ten minutes and got out. About thirty minutes later after the shower; he called Sango to see when he could come over. He walked around his house bare naked, since his mother and father weren’t home at the time, he could do anything he wanted. But being Miroku, he was too responsible to do anything to wild that his parents might not like.

When Sango had finally picked up on the third dial, Miroku and Sango started to talk for a while until Miroku asked,

“Guess what I’m wearing?”

“Uh, Clothes?” Sango guessed.

“Try again.”

“Boxers?” Sango blushed on the other end.

“Getting warmer.”

“…A bunny suit?”

“…No.”

“…Under wear?” Sango blushed.

“…Nope.”

“…Briefs? ”

“No women! Try a little deeper.” Her eyes widened.

“…..I don’t know.” Sango said, trying to act like she didn’t know the answer.

“Oh yes you do.” Miroku smirked.

“Why are you even asking me that anyways!? Why should I care?”

“Oh, I don’t know, I like teasing you.”

Sango sighed.”Well you can come over in a few; I have to take a shower first.”

Miroku didn’t answer for a while then gulped, and said “ok”.

They hung up and went on to their own business. Miroku got dressed and walked out of his house, and started down the street towards Sango’s house. She said in a few minutes right?

As he walked down the street, He saw a man standing on the other side of the road. Miroku waved a hello and kept on his way. When he was almost towards Sango’s house, he stopped, stunned.

Were those…dog ears I saw on that man?’

:]

When Sango had finished talking to Miroku, her face was as red as a ripe strawberry. She knew what he was wearing, or lack of wearing. Just then a mental image came into her head, and she blushed even more.

Miroku was a handsome man, with dark blue shocking eyes, and short black hair he kept in a pony tail at the end of his neck. He had finely defined muscles and two piercings in his right ear.

Sango swiped the image out of her mind, and went to take a shower like promised. Sango lived with her little brother Kohaku, and her parents lived about ten minutes away so if she ever needed anything, they were pretty close. Kohaku was currently still in school, and would be for another hour or so.

Sango turned on the shower and got in. She used her coconut scented shampoo to wash her hair, and body wash to…well, you know.

As Sango came out, She walked over to the cabinet next to the bathroom and grabbed a towel, wrapping it around herself. Before she could turn around though, she felt someone push up against her with their chest so that she was pinned against the wall.

She tried to turn around, but then the person got close to her face, their hands on either side of her head.

Sango was scared out of her mind. ‘This person is going to rape me! How did he get in?’
Sango stared at the boys mouth in horror, as that was all she could see. It slowly turned into an evil smile.

The boy’s hands slowly made their way from the sides of her head, to her waist, holding her still there.

“Boo.”

Sango gasped, and recognized the low, husky voice. It was Miroku!

“Miroku, get off of me, When I said a few minutes, I didn’t mean it! You didn’t even let me get dressed yet.” Sango said, now struggling to move since her fear had gone away, and trying to pull the towel up more since it was slowly falling with the movement she was doing.

“Hey, you did say I could come over in a few minutes though, and I was true to my word.” His hands then made their way to her stomach. Sango didn’t seem to notice, since she was too mad.

“What girl do you know finishes taking a shower in like, two minutes? Pure insanity! Now get off of me!” She yelled, wiggling a little more, trying to get free. Miroku just laughed, and let go.

“Now stay right here until I get undressed. Don’t try anything, because I’m locking my door!” She stomped off into her room, slamming her door.

Miroku went into Sango’s refrigerator, and got some orange juice. He then sat back down, waiting for Sango to come out.

When she did, about fifteen minutes later, Miroku’s eyes bulged.

She had on a pink skirt that was pretty short, showing off her gorgeous legs. Her shirt was a normal tight black polo shirt. She had black and pink bracelets on one arm, and a pink necklace heart. She wore pink eyeliner and her long brown hair was in a side pony tail, coming over her chest, and she had a pair of black flip flops.

She looked pretty damn sexy.

Sango made a weird face, and then walked over to Miroku, swaying her hips, and closed his mouth.

“I know I have a lot of flies in the house, but you know you don’t need to catch them like that. I appreciate the offer though.” She laughed.

Miroku didn’t answer; still looking at the same spot she was in where he first saw her. He then got out of his trance, and looked at Sango, who was sitting down, staring at him with a weird look.

“Are you ok?” She asked, seeing his dazed expression.

“Actually, I’m great.” He answered.

Sango smiled. “Okay then, let’s go on a date-As friends I mean” She blushed.

Miroku smiled, and nodded.

Miroku walked out of her house first, but before Sango left she said she had forgotten something and had ran back to her room. Sango’s room was a dark pink color, with a queen bed sitting on the left side of the wall and a window on the other side. There was a laptop, a T.V, and other various things in there. She looked for what she was looking for, and found it by the window. She picked it up, and turned away, and was about to walk out of her room when she heard a little scratching noise. When she looked at her window, she saw a hand, with claws on it. She ran to her window, trying to see whose hand it could have been on a two story house. The hand got more transparent as she came closer, and when she had finally reached the window, it was gone.

:]

While Miroku waited for Sango to come back down, he kept on doing a replay in his head of when he had first walked in the unlocked door. First, he had seen nothing, but then, here comes Sango, in all her naked glory, bending over to reach for a towel in the cabinet next to the shower. Oh my, he was in heaven. Once she had found that towel she was searching for, he didn’t want her to put it on, so when she did, He had walked, more like jogged, over to her, and locked her between him and the wall with his chest. He could hear her panicked gasps, telling him that she thought he was going to rape her or something. Of course he wouldn’t do that to Sango! At least, not unwillingly. He then smiled, and put his hands on her soft, but toned tummy.

“Boo.” He had whispered, and Sango had gasped in anger.

Well that’s when the fun had ended, because then she had started yelling at him and he had moved away several inches to let her walk by and avoid any physical damage.

This memory will always stay at the top of my mind’ Miroku sighed dreamily.

Just then, Sango came down, with a look of confusion on her face.

“What’s wrong?” He asked, putting the memory somewhere else at the moment.

She looked at him and smiled.

“Oh, it’s nothing, shall we go?”

Miroku smiled.

“We shall.”

:]

Kagome was getting her clothes ready for school the next day, and she tried to change it up a little. It was a big jacket, and baggy pants. Well, they did match at least! The jacket was a dark brown, and the pants were…black. She sighed, and then put the clothes on her study chair for tomorrow to wear. She looked in her closet, and at her Halloween costume. It was a skeleton costume, and she didn’t know if she could wear it. Her friends from her old school insisted that she did.

But, it was so…revealing.

It was a one piece and it was black. It had bones on it, like a skeletons and also had a hood. But it was so tight on her that she could barely pinch it without pinching her skin in the process. She felt very self conscious in it, and she didn’t know if she could wear it in two days. Her body was ugly, and she knew it, all the other kids knew it, and her family knew it.

Kagome sighed, and put a smile on, put her shoes on, and went down stairs.

“Hey mom, I’m going for a little walk, I’ll be back in a bit!”

“Okay, be home before dinner.” Her mother answered.

Kagome walked out the door, and onto the sidewalk, just going anywhere. She missed her friends. She missed her school, she missed her boyfriend.

His name was Hojo. He was the sweetest boy she had ever met. His light brown eyes full of laughter, his brown hair, always in a messy style, his soft hands, always tender with her when they held hands.

She had tried to call a few times, but he never answered her calls. But one of her calls, he had actually picked up the phone, but he didn’t hear her call his name, and she heard weird noises, so she just hung up, disappointed.

As she looked up from where she was going, she saw a little park on the other side of the road. She crossed it, and sat in one of the swings, and gently swung herself. She stayed like that for a couple of minutes, which seemed like hours to her, looking up at the darkening orange sky. She thought about nothing, cared about nothing, and saw nothing in those very few minutes.

Finally coming back to reality, Kagome noticed that it was sun down. She got off the swing and turned to walk back across the street, but there was a man there, next to a pole, hammering something on it. She looked closely at the paper he was hammering to the pole, it read:

Halloween Party.
Everyone is invited.
There will be free food and drink.
Look for the mansion.

‘Wow she thought, ‘What a great description and directions’

Just then, as if reading her mind, the man slowly turned to look at her. Kagome gasped.

He had golden eyes.

They seemed to pierce through her soul, and all she could see was his magnificent eyes, nothing else. They seemed to trap her within them, holding her still as his prisoner.

Her legs started to feel week, and with much force, she turned and blushed and covered her face with her hands.

‘Oh my gosh, that was so weird. What just happened?’

She slowly turned around, and the man was gone.

It was pretty dark now, so Kagome jogged home, hoping that dinner wasn’t served yet, or her mother would be mad.

Hope you liked the first chapter. I know I did hehe.
