Inuyasha stepped out into the clearing and inhaled deeply. He caught the scent of the one he sought. He picked up his speed an headed forward following the sent of clay and dirt. He found its source standing under the god tree. “Kikyou ”

           In this hole that is me

          The dead are rolling over

“Kikyou ,why....why are you here?” Inuyasha asked “Why did you want to see me?” A few moments of silence followed his question.

        &nbs p; In this hole Thickening

          D irt shoveled over shoulders

“I had to see you again, Inuyasha, and ask you once again to leave my reincarnation and follow me, the real me, to hell. Like you promised me long ago.” Kikyou finally said. Inuyasha stared at her with a distant look in his eyes as though thinking for a moment before he finally said ,“ Yes Kikyou I know what I promised and I intended to keep it.”

         &nb sp;I feel it in me so overwhelmed

           All this pressured centered rising

Kagome lay hidden behind a tree watching the two exchange their words. ‘Dammit I knew he came to see Kikyou. He hates me all I am is his damn shard detector. I don’t see why he doesn’t leave me and goes shard hunting with Kikyou . He loves her and hates me that’s all there is to it.’ she mentally cursed herself, ‘Wait did he just say intended? Oh Kami, don’t leave me Inuyasha I need you.’

         &n bsp;My life overturned

          U nfair, the despair

          All these scars keep ripping open

“What do you mean intended ? She spat out the last part as if it were a poison. “You promised me your soul was mine and you would go to hell with me! Not, her!” Inuyasha just stood there . “ Yes Kikyou I know I no longer intend to go to hell with you , but .... I don’t know anymore. I loved you once Kikyou but now... now I love her I want to spend my life with her. I do— Kikyou cut him off “ No Inuyasha !! Why .. Why not me I was your first and only love.”

“You dirty hanyou, she could never love you your just a vile half demon. You could have used the Shikon no Tama to wish your self a human and spend your life with me. No one can ever love a half demon. You’ll realize that when you tell her Inuyasha. She’ll hate you forever. At least you won’t live to see it.” she said with a cold smile.

With that Inuyasha slumped forward into her arms and a bright light enveloped them as they slowly started to sink into the ground. ‘Finally we are going to hell and my soul will be put to rest.

          Bu ried underneath

          H ands slip off the wheel

          Intern al path-way to contention

“ She’ll hate you forever. At least you won’t live to see it.” she said with a cold smile. ‘What does she mean by?’ Kagome thought. ‘Oh no!, she trying to take him to hell again.’ She knew what was happening she had seen it before when Kikyou tried it before bu, Kagome had been there to stop it just like she was going to try again.

‘ Finally my soul will be put to rest and I can spend my life with Inuyasha, both of us in hell ...... together.’ Kikyou thought. She didn’t get to celebrate for long as an arrow flew towards her. Heading straight for her heart.

          I n this hole

          Left with a heart exhausted

Kagome watched as her arrow flew towards Kikyou. Suddenly it hit a barrier before reaching its target. “Fool!” Kikyou yelled “ You have miko powers but you could never match my powers. Just give up and go home Inuyasha is mine. He promised me his soul not you.” “ It doesn’t look like you gave him much of a choice.” she said as she glanced at the unconscious Inuyasha. “ I’m going to make sure he doesn’t go to hell with you.” with that she readied another arrow.

          W hat’s my release?

‘Damn her she won’t ruin this .... not again. I finally find peace and now this. The bitch doesn’t know when to give up and go home.’Kikyou thought.

“You fool you can’t even get an arrow past my barrier you don’t have a chance. Besides Inuyasha loves me not you.” she hissed. “ Well love or not he’s not going to hell with you.” Kagome yelled as she pulled back on her arrow a put all her miko energy into it and let it fly. It sped its way towards Kikyou as a bright light enveloped the arrow.

As the arrow sped forward Kagome began to fall into unconsciousness drained from putting all her energy in the arrow. The last thing she saw before she fell asleep was Kikyou screaming something and a bright light.

2 hours later

Inuyasha awoke in a small crater. ‘Damn’ he thought ‘ Oh kami, my head is killing me the last thing I remeber is someting about Kikyou oh crap.’ He opened his eyes and looked around. All he saw was a sleeping Kagome and a pile of dirt. ‘Kikyou must of tried to drag me to hell and Kagome saved me.’ he thought as he looked at the sleeping girl ‘She owns my heart and now my life since she saved me. Oh, Kagome looks like I owe you one.’ Then he picked her up and started off towards the village.
