Chapter 13: The Rescue

Kagome awoke shortly after Naraku had bandaged her wounds. He stared at her lustily, Kagome shot him a disgusted look and moved further from the vile being, though attractive Naraku was evil in physical form. He smirked and licked his full lips, his words came out in a gentle purr.

"Do not fear me Kagome…"

Kagome backed even further away from his keeping her cool demeanor and chuckling in her head at his attempts to soothe her.

`Hahahaha! He must really be an idiot!'

Naraku smiled and placed a hand on her cheek. Kagome flinched back and closed her eyes.

`Yes that's it, give into the inevitable. You have no choice. I always win. Kukukukukuku…'

Naraku moved closer, feeling the shift Kagome erected a barrier around herself. The force and power of it pushed Naraku violently away from her body. An airy laugh escaped her chest and she layed out across the bed with a slight smug smile on her face.

"You are more of a fool then I thought. I will not allow you to have me!"

Naraku was slumped against the wall opposite her. His eyes half lidded from the effect her attack had on him. Finally getting enough strength to get back on his feet he smirked once again.

"That is what you think my little elf."

Without another word he left her to her thoughts. Kagome layed back and carefully drew her hand across the tender flesh that Naraku had damaged. Giving a deep sigh she studied the room and let her mind try to figure a way out of her prison.

The night was chilled and the shadows covered her face, effectively hiding the emotions that flitted across her eyes. Sango sat atop the room near the warehouse she knew Naraku resided. Her face was blank and distant. Her black cat suit form fitting cat suit hid her in the dark.

`We will get you out Kagome. I promise.' "Are we set up yet?"

The Inutaisho team that was working away behind her continued to work, Sesshoumaru didn't look up at her as he replied.

"Almost…just one more thing left to set."

Sango gave a nod and continued to study the warehouse. Miroku watched her worriedly. He could feel her determination for some reason.

`Please Sango. Don't do anything rash.'

The group set out carefully prowling around the area. Sesshoumaru's eyes racked their surroundings carefully.

`Naraku was way too cocky to ever put out guards; the bastard thought he was invincible.'

Sesshoumaru held back his snort of amusement.

`I will personally show him how killable he is.'

When they reached the side door, Kouga and Shippo parted from them to find a way into the building. On the other side they found a small window and shimmed into it. Kouga nodded his head to Shippo and the two shot off into different directions. Kouga skimmed through the shadows making sure not to be seen by anyone from the gang.

`The door they are at is on the side so when I let the others in they won't be seen.'

Kouga sighed and thanked kami for their good luck. The cunning fox dashed through the halls of the dimmed building. He lifted his nose to the air and sniffed around for Kagome's scent.

`I have to find her quick!'

Kikyo glared at the thought of Kagome. Ever since she had gotten there Inuyasha seemed to be distant from her.

`Damn you Kagome! Always the better sister! I hate you! If Naraku didn't want you so bad I would kill you!'

Her mind drifted to the looks she had seen Inuyasha throw at her oblivious sister.

`No…I will kill that little miss perfect! I don't give a damn about Naraku she can't have Inuyasha!'

With little thought she swept through the halls making sure that no one was in them, she then opened Kagome's room a bit and slipped in. The room had no windows and there layed Kagome with her back to Kikyo. Kikyo stepped forward raising the dagger she had behind her back. Then suddenly white hot licks of pain went through her body and her back collided with the wall. Her vision blurried with the force of the attack. Looking up though she saw none other than Kagome, her face was twisted into a look of utter disgust and rage.

"So you have finally come to see me beloved sister? I have been waiting."

Kagome's voice was mocking and soft. Kikyo's eyes widen a bit and she used the wall to push her body from the floor, Kagome watched this passively, silently reveling in the pain she had inflicted. Kikyo growled a bit and decided to fight her with words to try and distract her.

"You were never better than me! You are just a shadow that I have never been able to rid myself of."

To Kikyo's utter surprise Kagome threw back her head and uproarious laughter shook her petiete frame. A malicious gleam was slightly hidden in her eyes. Kagome's tone was amused and drawling.

"Kikyo dearest, you are slipping. I have always been more an asset to EVERYTHING. Why else would YOUR leader hunt myself and Sango down? Why else is it that you seek to kill me over Inuyasha? You stupid bitch….I pity you. To always have to be the shadow of your younger sister."

Kikyo trembeled with rage and thoughtlessly charged at Kagome without thinking. Kagome shook her head in a most amused way. Deciding to begin her traitorous sister's torture now she brought her arm up at the last minute, when she could almost taste Kikyo's rage, she landed a rib crushing punch to her chest. Kikyo became unbalanced and fell to her knees. Her eyes watered and groan of pain crossed her lips. Kagome smirked.

"I'm gonna give you a hit for all of the people you helped to destroy."

Kikyo didn't have time to say anything as Kagome began to beat her into the floor mercilessly.
