Having it Our Way

Getting Away: Chapter 1

She cast him a sly smirk and look to the woman she held around the neck. She cowered back from her but she paid no mind to it as she looked to her friend Sango who had just finished off her group and was now held another man in her clutches pummeling the shit out of him.

"Yo, San! We gotta go before Naraku gets here."

Sango looked up and swiftly slipped her black and brown hair into her hair bow. Her eyes flashed from brown to black then back to brown.

"Okay Kag. I'll wait outside…you know where."

Sango cast one last hateful look to the woman in Kagome hand then speed off; within a blink she was gone.

Kagome looked to the captive female. Her jet black hair with its midnight blue streaks shimmered from unseen moonlight and her eyes flashed dangerously from midnight blue to powder and back. Her face remained as emotionless as her voice.

"Kikyo, tell Naraku that no matter what he does he can never control a Death's Angel. There is no way. Tell him that we, the last shall never be forced to anything again…"

Kagome looked out the corner of her, as a slight noise came to her elven like ears.

Kikyo's face was frozen in fear. She could not speak, think, or do anything.

"Sango and I the last of a fallen people shall continue to live and by our own rules. If I ever see you again traitor I will kill you no matter if you are my sister and princess to our people I have no problems will killing you in cold blood."

The steps grew closer, she sniffed the air. The scent was spicy and powerful. Enticing and dangerous.

`Naraku is coming'."I am taking our mother's crystal swords. Shikon and Tama shall not stay with the murder of their people and neither shall I…If I ever see you again I shall kill you. And Naraku."

Kagome dropped her sister into a heap and took of just as Sango. Kikyo tried to speak but her voice was frozen in her throat. She heard his footsteps. Damn he was going to be pissed at her. Kikyo looked around the room. Her jet black and red streaked hair moved gently. Sango and Kagome had always made it seem as if they were weak but they weren't. They were only waiting for the time to escape and now those two single handedly had beaten all of Naraku's gang members. Humans, demons, fallen angels, and yes even her one of the last Death's Angels had been beaten.

Naraku made it into the room. His powers hieghted as he got pissed. He stalked to Kikyo.

"Who has done this?" He hissed menacingly in her ear.

Kikyo did not bother to turn to him.

"I-I-It was Kagome and Sango. They did this. They said to leave them be. To never come near or else they will kill us both…and Naraku they do have the power to consummate that promise."

Naraku regarded her carefully. She had always thought herself higher than Kagome. Kikyo had always thought that she was favored among him and his gang but in reality of the two princesses Kagome was favored and among all the females loved of the gang Sango and Kagome were tied.

`Damn' Naraku cursed himself how could he have let them escape. `They were most powerful and favored members of the gang. I should not have left her with them.'

Naraku left Kikyo to wallow in self pity chocking on her thoughts and four words that would forever haunt her from this day. When she is but 12.

`Was it worth it?' Drumed loudly in her head and threatened to deafen her.
