Seoul National University?
Author's P.O.V
The next day Kagome and Sango were talking by the lockers. "So, have you heard anything from SNU yet."
Kagome shook her head. "No, I'm worried that if I don't get in all of my hard work will be thrown away and I'll have to go to Fukushima Community College."
"Or maybe you could go to Fukushima University. I know a special someone who teaches there." Sango said nudging Kagome's shoulder.
"I don't know, Sango. That would be awesome to learn from InuYasha, but SNU is my life. Well, it's suspose to be."
"My father used to always say that, ''If things are meant to happen they will happen." "
"I guess you're right."
"Hey, honey."
Kagome turned around somehow feeling that she was going to see InuYasha, but only got Hojo.
"Hey...um Hojo."
Hojo and Miroku approached her and Sango. "Guess what, babe?"
"What?"
"I got accepted into Tokyo University!" He said waving a piece of paper around.
"Really?! That's great, Hojo."
Hojo leaned down and picked Kagome up and started to swing her around before he placed Kagome down and kissed her.
Miroku noticed the action between Hojo and Kagome. "So, um...Sango?"
Sango turned to Miroku. "What is it, Houshi?"
"I got accepted into Okayama University of Science."
Sango shrugged her shoulders.
"Don't I get a kiss or something?" Miroku said sliding his hand over her rear end.
Sango turned around and slapped him. "That is what you get."
"Oww! Do you have to be so rough, woman." Miroku said holdin his cheek.
"Hey, Kagome I'll see you in Chemistry, okay"
Kagome nodded. "Alright, I'll meet you there."
"Hojo, man I gotta go to class." Miroku said as he waved and ran down the busy hallways.
Hojo nodded to Miroku then turned to face Kagome. "Okay, now that we're alone."
"What is it, Hojo?"
"I just noticed that you and me haven't been spending any time together lately. I barely get to see you."
"Well, I've been busy" With InuYasha, but I'm not telling you that.
"You love me, right?"
"Of course, Hojo."
Hojo sighed. "Okay, that's all I wanted to hear. As long as you love me and I don't need to fret. So, I was thinking that maybe we could go out to dinner after football practice."
Kagome was about to say yes until she realized that she already planned something with InuYasha.
"I'm kind of busy."
Kagome saw the hurt etched on his face she hated to see him like this. "I'm sorry, Hojo."
He shook his head. "It's alright. As long you love me." He kissed her on the cheek and walked off.
Kagome sighed against the cool lockers. She hated to do this to Hojo.
It's just a fling. Nobody will get hurt.
Kagome started to walk down the hallways until she bumped into a hard figure. She looked up to be faced against the piercing blue eye of the Red Tigers running back.
"Kouga."
"Hey, Kag. Just the person I wanted to see."
"Oh, really?"
"I wanted to tell you I got my acceptance letter."
"Oh, where are you going?"
Kouga stepped a little closer to Kagome where she could feel his warmth breath against her cheek.
"I'm going to Seoul National University."
"You...you're going to SNU." Kagome stuttered not really believing her ears.
"Yeah, same college you're going to. I was just thinking of how much fun we're going to have with Hojo all the way in Tokyo."
"Are you hitting on me?! Isn't it a little low to be hitting on your best friends fiance."
Kouga chuckled lightly. "I'm just saying, how could you maitain a healthy relationship with him being far away? There's a lot of girls in Tokyo."
"There's also a lot of girls in Seoul. Why won't go find one?" Kagome then stormed off and proceeded to her second hour class.
Kagome arrived home and it was empty as usual. She looked at the clock on the wall and figured out that today's was Souta's soccer game and the whole family was probably there. Kagome decided to change and go support her little brother because it's been ages since she's been to one of his games. She had to admit that InuYasha was pretty much taking up all of her time with her family and, sadly enough, Hojo.
Kagome looked through the mail. "Junk, Junk, Bills, Junk, more Bills."
Then her eyes set on a letter that read, To: Kagome Higurashi From: Administrators of Seoul National University.
Kagome dropped the letter because she was too excited to even open it. "What am I to do? I can't open it. I won't open it. Fuck it."
She picked up the letter and was about to open it until the phone rang. Kagome sighed then walked over to the phone and answered it.
"Kagome?! You're there. I was afraid you're mother or something would answer."
"InuYasha?!" Kagome suddenly forgot all about SNU when she heard his voice. "Why are you calling here?"
"Hojo doesn't get back until 6:00. So, I was thinking you could drop by or something."
"Yeah, only if you do something for me when I get there."
"Mmm. Is it kinky."
Kagome giggled. "You'll see. I will be there in about 20 minutes." Kagome then hung up the phone. She grabbed her key and the letter then ran out of the house.
InuYasha relaxed on the cream couch in the living room with nothing but red pajama pants. He sighed. InuYasha wasn't used to this. He haven't been with a woman in 5 years maybe he was just desperate.
Or maybe you really care for this girl. InuYasha snorted. I don't even know this girl.
He heard the doorbell ring and he shot up. He opened the door to reveal Kagome in her schoolgirl uniform fidgeting with her fingers. InuYasha could feel his groin tighten at the extremely short green pleated skirt.
Is that what the girls there have to wear. I bet the principal's a man.
He then noticed she was nervous and uneasy. "Kagome, what's wrong?"
Kagome shoved an envelope in his hands and proceeded into house.
"What's this?" He said as he shut the door and followed her into the living room.
"My acceptance letter to SNU."
"Oh." was all InuYasha could say.
"Can you open it for me? I can't open it myself. "
InuYasha nodded as he opened the envelope. He looked over the letter and his faced dropped. When Kaogme saw his expression so did her heart.
"Damn, Kagome."
"W..what?" Kagome said as her voice cracked.
"You know they want you!!" InuYasha yelled.
Kagome eyes widen and she smiled. "What?! They want me?!"
InuYasha nodded. "Congratulations!"
Kagome jumped onto InuYasha. "Oh, my god!"
She kissed him and InuYasha began to caress her backside.
"Mmm." InuYasha groaned in the back of his throat. He thought he could kiss her forever.
Then his doorbell rang.
Guess not.
"Oh, shit" Kagome said jumping off InuYasha.
"Go hide somewhere." InuYasha said.
Kagome nodded and ran out of the living room and into the dining room.
InuYasha casually walked to the door and opened it.
"InuYasha?!" The woman walked into the house in an elegant marron contour dress.
"Kikyo?! What in the hell are you doing here." He said as he followed her the opposite way into the dining room.
Kagome noticed their voice and dashed under the long dining table.
"What? I can't come here and see my husband."
Kagome ears perked at the comment.
That must be Kikyo.
Kagome lifted the sheet because dispite her better side she had to see her face. InuYasha saw Kagome under the dining table and signaled her to let it down. Kagome shook her head and looked over to the sophisticated woman. Once Kagome received her glance she let down the white table cloth.
She's so beautiful.
Kagome then began to feel insignificant. She thought about when InuYasha called her a kid.
Maybe I am just a stupid kid with a crush.
She was so jealous of this woman and haven't even met her yet. This Kikyo seemed to carry herself with grace. The way she spoke with such confidence.
"You can't just barge in my home and call me your husband."
"InuYasha, this used to be my home, too. Also, you are my husband."
"I am not your damn husband. Not after what you did."
"I told you I was sorry, Yash. You know you're the only man I've ever loved."
"You weren't saying that when you ran off with one of my students."
"I didn't run off. I was still in town."
"Aargh! Kikyo!"
"But I was young and dumb then."
"Maybe you were dumb, but you sure as hell wasn't young. You were 30 years old! You knew what you were doing."
"InuYasha, it would be so easy if we would just get together."
"Easy for who, Kikyo?!"
Kagome wanted to cover her ears like a little kid when their parents are arguing.
"I just came to say that I won't take your money, if you work for my father."
"Are you threathening me?"
Kikyo shook her head. "Of course not. I'm just giving you a great opportunity."
"I'm not dumb, Kikyo. I know that your father filed for bankruptcy. You just want my time and money to build up your father's empire. Sorry, I won't do it. I'd rather for me to be poor than to help your father."
"But..."
"I would appreciate if you would leave."
"Inu..."
"Leave!"
"But..."
"Don 't make me through you out!"
Kikyo nodded and left.
When Kagome heard the door shut she arose from the under the table.
"So, that's why you quit SNU."
InuYasha turned to the sound of her voice. He looked over Kagome's innocent form and a rush a feelings washed over him. Feelings that he never felt for another woman.
This isn't good. He thought to himself.
"Kagome, can you promise me something?"
Kagome nodded her head. "Anything."
"Promise me that we won't fall in love."
Kagome looked at him in a confused manner. "What do you mean?"
"Love only leads to trouble. So, let's just enjoy ourselves without the hassle of feelings. Once you get married to my son, we'll part."
Kagome remained quiet and thought about what he just said.
"I promise."
InuYasha walked over to her and gave her a hug. He had make her promise this because the last woman he loved broke his heart and he needed to play his cards right so that it wouldn't ever happen again.
"Kagome?"
"Yes." Kagome moaned in his warm embrace. She wanted to stay like this forever.
"Congratulations."
