Chapter 19
Heartache
Kagome, Hojo, and InuYasha were packing small luggage into the roomy, but small, Corvette.
"I'm so proud of you, sweetheart." Hojo said as he put in the last suitcase.
"Thanks, Hojo."
He smiled then hugged her and began to kiss on her neck. "I knew you were going to make it."
"Hojo, stop that. It tickles!" Kagome giggled inbetween her sentence.
Hojo looked deep into her eyes before capturing her lips in a passionate kiss. InuYasha stood there watching the youngsters and started to feel something he shouldn't be feeling....jealously.
"Hojo!"
The boyish eighteen year old jumped at the voice of his father. "Yeah, dad."
"Go...um...check if everything we need is out of the house."
"I'm sure it is."
"But I want you to check."
"Alright." Hojo said as he ran off into the large home.
Kagome giggled as she turned to face the well aged man. "So..."
"So what?"
"So you're jealous." Kagome said walking toward him to where the was no space between them.
"No. Of course not."
Kagome then ran her hands over his chest. "It's alright if you are."
"But I'm not." InuYasha noticed silver Chrysler 300c and he pushed Kagome off of him.
"Hey, what's your...."
"Kagome!"
Kagome turned around to see Miroku and a furious Sango in the passengers seat pull up into the driveway. She walked to the car to greet her friends.
"Hey, guys."
"This is going to be so much fun!" Miroku yelled.
"Hmmpf. Speak for yourself. Kagome, if you leave me in the car alone with this...this lech for 12 hours he's going to be kicking field goals out of his ass."
"You weren't saying all that when you were cheering your head off for him." Kagome said.
Sango blushed at her friends comment. "We said we wouldn't speak of that."
"You were cheering for me, huh?" Miroku said inching his hands towards Sango's thigh.
"Keep your hands to yourself, lech."
Kagome smiled at them, but that smile suddenly turned when she noticed a pink SUV pull up. "Oh, shit." Kagome sighed.
Sango stopped hitting Miroku long enough to notice the sad expression on Kagome's face. "What's wrong, Kag?"
"They're here."
"Kagome!!" The the three girls parked into the driveway and jumped out of the truck to greet their friend.
"Um...hey guys. What are you doing here?"
"What do you mean? We're here for the road trip!" Eri shouted.
Kagome sighed and knew this was going to be a long trip to Seoul.
Kagome looked out of the window of the hotel enjoying the full city view of Seoul. The flashing lights dazzled on of the large picture window. The moon was white and bright like morning snow and Kagome loved every bit of it.
"This is absolutely breathtaking."
"So are you, my love."
Kagome whipped around on her heel facing the boy that she was regretly going to spend the rest of her life with. "Hojo, I thought you were havng dinner with Miroku and Sango tonight."
"I was...then I thought how lonely you would be up here all by yourself."
"Oh, don't mind me. I was just going to...." Sleep with InuYasha. "Eat some soup and watch late night t.v."
Hojo sighed as he sat on the hotel bed. "I just can't believe how you've caught such a quick cold."
Kagome laughed nervously. "Well, it's probably just a 24 hour bug."
"Yeah, I hope so. Kagome?" Hojo said sitting down on the bed that was placed in the beautiful hotel suite.
"Yeah, Hojo?"
"Um....I've been meaning to ask about the way you've been acting lately."
Kagome stiffened at Hojo's comment. She slowly sat next to him and rubbed his back. "What do you mean, sweetheart." Kagome said trying to lay on it thick.
"You've been acting kind of distant lately. Are you sure you want to marry me?"
This the perfect opportunity to say "No, Hojo I don't want to marry you I want to marry your father". But Kagome just decided on: "Of course."
Kagomed sighed deeply at her response to the question. It was just amazing at how she couldn't bring herself into telling him that she didn't want to marry him.
"See, that right there! Every time I bring the subject up you always take this big sad sigh."
"Well...I'm just a little scared is all."
"Kagome, I know it's a big step, but I am so certain that I want you to be my wife and have my kids. Little kids with your eyes, and you lips, and my...well...my.... my money...that's all I want them to have from me."
Kagome gave Hojo genuine smile and carressed his face. Maybe I do want to marry Hojo and maybe this fling with InuYasha was just one of those phases parents are always talking about. Kagome guessed that all she wanted from InuYasha was the lust and passion that he gave her, but he also gave her a sense of security and joy. Kagome was so confused that she knew only one thing could clear her thoughts.
"Um..Hojo?" Kagome began. "I think I'm going go and take a swim."
Hojo smiled thinking about the time she nearly drowned. "You sure you don't need any company incase you drown...again." Hojo said as she snickered inbetween sentences.
Kagome hit his arm playfully. "Naw, I can take care of myself."
InuYasha sat in his suite, fuming. He looked at the clock and at the door expecting a knock any minute. Kagome said she would be here at 8:00. I wonder she's at. Tired of waiting, InuYasha got up and picked up a towel
"I need to go for a swim." He said as he walked towards the pool finding Kagome doing laps. InuYasha wanted to yell and scream at her for standing him up, but all he could do was watch her. He watched her perfect stroke and her pefect body maneuver in the water. InuYasha was convinced that he loved this girl even though to him....she was all woman. He walked through the glass doors and stood at the foot of the pool watching her. When she came up for air she saw him and screamed.
"Aaah!! Don't scare me like that."
InuYasha smirked. "I thought you couldn't swim. I mean after almost drowning in the lake."
"I just forgot that day."
InuYasha threw off his shirt and began to unbutton his pants. "How the hell do you forget."
"It suprised me and my mind went blank." Kagome blushed as InuYasha stood before her in black and red boxers.
He grinned as she checked him out then he dove into the pool with clean entrance. He arose wet hair clinging to his face and body. Kagome bit her lip at the damp man making him look more sexy than if he was dry. InuYasha smirked as he swam over to her backing her up in the corner of huge pool.
"What are you doing?" Kagome said breathing heavily. InuYasha leaned in and kissed his cute little water nymph.
"Let me ask you a question." InuYasha whispered huskily in her ear.
"What?" Kagome whispered back.
"How long can stay underwater?"
"Um....about 3 minutes is the most I can do. Why would you ask that?"
InuYasha looked down then back at Kagome. Her eyes widened.
"I already told you...."
"Yeah, yeah, I know,"I'm not ready to do that"." Inuyasha said trying to mock her femine voice.
Kagome laughed for a minute. "I'm serious, Yash. I just can't at the moment."
InuYasha shrugged. "Can't blame a guy for trying and besides I can hold mines for 7." Then InuYasha dived into the water.
Hojo sat in the hotel suite looking out of the window. He loved the scenery and wanted to share it with Kagome. At that moment, he decided that he would walk down to the pool and bring her up to the suite and make passionate love to her. "I mean hell....we're getting married anyway." Set on his idea Hojo walked down the hallways and stairs until he reached the pool. Hojo first stared at his beauty for a minute, admiring her body relaxing in the cool water. He opened the doors and soon as he did his father arose from underneath and began to kiss his fiance passionately on the lips. "Kagome?! Father?!" Hojo roared.
Kagome loved the feel of InuYasha's tongue venture through her womanhood, yet she could feel a strange feeling coming her way. She decided to shrug it off and focus on the man before her or should she say beneath. InuYasha rose from the water and began to kiss at Kagome's lips. She loved the feel of his soft lips and the taste of her own nectar.
"Kagome?! Father?!"
Kagome heard the outroar and immediately turned her head to see the expression on her fiance's face and then suddenly her whole world crushed in front of her eyes.
