InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Hear Me, See Me, Feel Me ❯ Abduction ( Prologue )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

AN: Okay so I took this story as a challenge from 1katie1 (ama_tori). The challenge was on the Inuyasha Fan Fiction Archives on ezboard. A Sessy/Rin story that was a father/daughter story, no romance involved.

This chapter is short, but that's only because it's a prologue, the others will be longer. Also the chapters are going to switch from Sesshomaru to Rin and what is going on around them.

If you're wondering where the title of the story came from, I was listening to The Who's: Tommy while trying to come up with a name.

The story is rated R just as a precaution, because I don't know how violent I intend for the story to get. And I might make Inuyasha make an appearance and we all know he's get a potty mouth hehehehe.

I don't own the Inuyasha characters, just the originals and the plot to this story.

The sounds of her screams broke through the fog in his head. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get the fog to go away. In fact the only part of his body that he could get to respond was his eyes, but even those seemed to take forever to open.

He could feel the bark of the tree still pressed against his back, and the grass was still against his legs, the only thing missing was her warmth. It was amazing how accustomed he had become to the warmth of her small body. His eyes were cloudy, but it didn't stop him from making out the snake-youki that held her tight in its grasp.

When the snake saw a flash of gold in the night it opened its mouth and let loose another of the cloud of the heavy mist, making his eyes droop. The last thing he heard as he slipped into unconsciousness was her voice screaming his name.

“Sesshomaru!”

It was his aide, Jaken, who found him several hours later. It unnerved the small imp to find the Great Lord of the West passed out against the tree. Normally when his Lord slept, he was always some what awake, keeping a constant vigil, always alert for danger.

“My Lord!” Jaken's squeaky voice pierced Sesshomaru's sensitive ears, raising him from the fog.

“Rin!” Sesshomaru cried, pushing himself away from the tree. He spotted Jaken staring at him in shock and grabbed the imp around the neck. “Where is she?”

Jaken gasped as Sesshomaru's face began to change, it was the first sign of his lord's transformation into his true form. “I know not my Lord!” Jaken gasped, clawing at Sesshomaru's hand.

Sesshomaru threw the imp aside and struggled to regain his calm demeanor. “What happened?” He pondered aloud.

“I'm not sure my Lord. I came back from gathering food like you told me and you were sitting against the tree and little Rin was gone.” Jaken said. “The insolent child probably ran off to get you some more flowers.”

Jaken winced when Sesshomaru snarled at him. “She didn't run off. There was mist and I couldn't move; something took her.” He said more to himself then to Jaken.

“But who would come after her my Lord. Naraku was defeated a year ago, who else would take her?” Jaken said.

Sesshomaru reached down and grabbed Jaken roughly. He picked up the small imp and threw him unceremoniously at the spot where he had seen the snake through the mist. “Find something for me to track her with.”

He turned his back on Jaken and grabbed his chest. He didn't know why but the thought of the small child brought a fear he had never known to his heart. As he thought about Rin and the danger that she might be in, his heart began to race madly. His head swam with guilt and he thought that perhaps he was on the verge of tears. He briefly wondered if all parents felt this way when their child was taken from them.

“My Lord!” Jaken screeched. “I have found a trail and Ah-Un seems to be able to follow a scent!”

Sesshomaru took a deep breath and turned, stepping on Jaken as he followed the two headed dragon out into the night. Please let her be safe. He thought as they began their hunt.
