Heart Ache

Why this? Why now? Inuyasha already made his choice. He was going to go back to Kikyo. Besides the fact she loved him, why should she have cared? Thought Kagome who was sitting on the well, crying her heart out, letting her tears flow along her face. She had never been hysterical but now she was and all because of Inuyasha and his love for Kikyo, the undead miko. All the heart ache was to, too much for her. She couldn't take seeing or talking to Inuyasha. It just hurt too much. In the cold night, she heard footsteps. She jumped off the well, and there before her very eyes was Inuyasha. He poured his eyes into hers as he was gazing at him, as well. His handsome features showed he had been very upset, that he hadn't slept and that he was very upset as well. Inuyasha knew Kagome wouldn't talk first, he already messed up, he knew.

Inuyasha: Kagome, I just wanted… Inuyasha was cut off. Kagome took a step back heading towards the well. She would have made it had Inuyasha not reached out and grabbed her wrist. Kagome remet Inuyasha's gaze as she said the nexted few words.

Kagome: Inuyasha, I don't belong here.

Inuyasha: I don't care if you don't belong here. The point is you are here. Kagome please listen to me. Inuyasha replied back.

Kagome: We should have never have met, don't you understand?! Inuyasha grabbed Kagome, pulling her over to him in a fierce embrace, which was threating to crack her ribs. Her heart felt like it was going to leap out of her chest when Inuyasha's touch was upon her. Inuyasha pulled her close to his lips as his head came down at her ear.

Inuyasha: You don't mean that, Kagome.

Kagome pulled herself out abit of Inuyasha's embrace only because he didn't want to hurt her and because he let her.

Kagome: Look Inuyasha …I… This time it was Inuyasha who cut Kagome off.

Inuyasha grabbed Kagome very tightly.

Inuyasha: Don't you get it? I need you! Don't you understand, Kagome?

Kagome looked very puzzled at Inuyasha. She didn't understand, she didn't know what was happening.

Kagome: Know you don't, you need Kikyo. This whole time it has only been about Kikyo. Inuyasha gazed over to Kagome like he had been slapped and stabbed. He let go of Kagome.

Inuyasha: Kagome that's not …Inuyasha was cut off again.

Kagome: JUST SAVE IT, Inuyasha she yelled so loud, that his ears were now hurting him and his super hearing made it worse.

Inuyasha grabbed her again; Kagome had turned around so that her back was now facing him. With his touch, he was able to turn her around and make her face him again. Just the sight of her was so awkward right now. His heart was pounding so furiously against his chest. He didn't care; all he did care about was Kagome. He knew she cared about him, all the times she cried over him, when he was in danger. This time when Inuyasha gazed into Kagome's eyes, he saw love in her eyes. Followed by unleashed tears. She was crying over me thought Inuyasha. Inuyasha pulled Kagome into an embrace, another tight one at that.

Inuyasha: Kagome, please listen to me. That's not true. Yes at the beginning, it was about Kikyo.

Kagome stud still as Inuyasha stopped embracing her and moved his hands up to her head. Both hands cupped her head in his hands.

Kagome knew what was going to happen. Inuyasha was planning to kiss her. Her tears had finally ceased. Her heartache was so intense, especially now since Inuyasha was trying to comfort her, trying to talk and find out what was bothering her.

Kagome: Inuyasha?

Inuyasha: But now, it is only about you. God, damn it to hell, what was I thinking? I caused you so much heartache already.

Kagome was embracing Inuyasha very tightly. Kagome's heart was still pounding beneath her chest.

Kagome: It's not your fault, Inuyasha. How you fell towards Kikyo. How you are with her. I just wish I didn't see what happened between the two of you.

Inuyasha's face was coming down towards her. Kagome tried to back away; Inuyasha however, was not letting go. She tried to push him away he still wasn't letting go. She knew she would regret this.

Inuyasha was only two inches away from kissing her.

Inuyasha: Kagome, I'm sorry.

Kagome: I'm not HER, Inuyasha. This brought him back to reality; he quickly backed away from Kagome.

Inuyasha: You idiot, I never said you were.

Inuyasha bent his head down again, and his lips glazed over hers. Kagome kissed him back, intensifying the kiss. Inuyasha backed away. Inuyasha knew now, he had proof that Kagome loved him, her words, the way she was acting and most of all and importantly her actions. All Inuyasha needed now, was to hear Kagome confess. After all, Inuyasha also loved her too. Kikyo was his first love. Yes. But she was also a thing in the past. Inuyasha knew he loved Kagome. Did he love her…wow.

Inuyasha: I love you, Kagome.

Kagome looked over to Inuyasha.

Kagome: I love you too, so much, Inuyasha.

And with that said they kissed again. The kiss intensified, they showed each other what they truly felt for one another.

This time, Inuyasha knew he would never cause Kagome heartache again, after all they both loved each other.
