okay everybody remember that everything you've been reading is Sei remembering the events that led up to the start of chapter one. and to the girl wondering about our two boys being in bed together I would like you to look up the words to a song called, "Gay" by stephen lynch since it expresses my feelings on how i'd handle the situations if i were gay.
Chapter 16
Sei grumbled in his sleep as he turned over in his bed to hit the alarm clock as it spewed out the lyrics to some song he didn't care remembers name. In fact he didn't even want to get out of bed that morning but he knew he had to. It'd been a little over a month since he and Sesshomaru had spent their first weekend in the modern era together and today was the day he'd be visiting the graves of Sesshomarus parents. Turning back over he reached for the warm body that had been sleeping next to him and when he got an arm full of empty mattress he cracked an eye open to find Sesshomaru in neither the bedroom nor the bathroom. Sliding out of the bed he stood up and let out a loud yawn and stretched before finding his pajama bottoms and put them on over his naked bottom half before stumbling out into the bright living room, where again his search for the demon was left fruitless.
He was about to shout for the demon when he saw a faint whisp of hair blow towards the sliding door that led to the balcony and upon looking through it he found the demon standing on outside with a glass of water in one hand as he stared out at the skyline. Opening the door and stepping out Sei asked, "When'd you get up?" Sesshomaru took a sip of his drink and let out a small sigh before saying, "About half an hour ago. I thought I'd let you sleep so I came out here." Sei walked up and grabbed the demon around the waist and said, "Next time wake me up and I'll join you." Turning around Sesshomaru gazed into the humans eyes and said, "This area is all mountains and forest in the past. But now it's steel, wood, and that odd compound you call concrete." Sei put his forheads to the demons and said, "I'm sure one day it will all return to the way we both prefer it but for now can you handle all of this being here?"
Sesshomaru placed his arms around Seis neck and said, "I would have to watch the mountains and forest fall so it's best I get used to the final result as quickly as possible." Sei leaned his head in and placed a small kiss on the demons cheek before asking, "Shouldn't you be wearing some clothing?" Looking down between them Sesshomaru chuckled and said, "Clothes just get in the way, koi." before leaning in and taking Sei into a deep kiss. If it was possible Sei smiled as the demon kissed him and he did his best to keep it at that, since no matter how much he wanted Sesshomaru at that point he knew they had to get going since they had a long journey ahead of them.
But he didn't let that stop him from sliding his tounge into the demons mouth and forcing Sesshomaru to lean up against the railing of the balcony. Sesshomaru loved it when Sei got a bit forceful but with their courting not fulfilled Sesshomaru had to use all his self control to stop him from taking the boy right there, so instead of encouraging his love Sesshomaru pushed him back and said, "It is time for you to get ready." Pouting a bit Sei snatched another kiss and said, "Fine, but promise me our mating night will be the greatest night ever." Chuckling Sesshomau kissed him deeply before saying, "Do not worry about the future koi, just know it will be memorable." Grunting his approval, Sei gave the only scar on the demons body a tender kiss before heading inside to get dressed, while Sesshomaru finished his drink before following suit.
A little over half an hour later the two were finally dressed and out the door heading towards Kagomes. On the train the two were glad to find that for some unknown reason the one running towards Kagomes house was pretty much deserted and were to busy trying to make something happen that they almost missed the stop. Heading out Sesshomaru pulled Sei in and gave him a kiss on the cheek and asked, "After today we visit your family correct?" Grabbing Sesshomarus waist Sei nibbled his ear and said, "Yes, we will visit them but why are you worried?" Pulling Sei into an alley Sesshomaru kissed his lips and said, "Are you going to tell your father about us?" Sei took a deep breath and after a moment shook his head and said, "No, not this time. I decided to tell him after we mate so that way he can't have any say in the matter." Grinning Sesshomaru said, "So you're giving him the 'take it or leave it' deal?" Arching an eyebrow Sei asked, "Where the hell do you come up with this stuff?"
Giving Sei an unusually genuine smile Sesshomaru said, "That device you call a television allows you to learn so many different things." Rolling his eyes Sei kissed the demons nose and said, "You're not allowed to watch it anymore." Letting out a small growl Sesshomaru leaned in and whispered in his ear, "Who gave you permission to tell me what to do?" Following the demons example Sei said in a similar tone, "You did when you decided to court me." Breathing heavily Sesshomaru said, "Damn you and your charms." Letting out a loud laugh Sei pushed the demon back and said, "Let's get going so we can find your dumb brother." Grabbing Sei by the neck Sesshomaru pulled him into a quick kiss before walking out of the alley with the boy keeping his arm around Seis neck, while Sei had his arms around the demons waist.
When they reached the top of the shrine steps the two noticed that it was awfully quiet around the Higurashi residence. Since there wasn't anything to keep them from the house Sei and Sesshomaru walked to the door and just as they were about to knock Souta opened the door and said, "The others are on the other side and said they'd be waiting at Kaedes." Staring at the teenager Sei asked, "Were you watching for us?" Grinning Souta said, "Yup! I was told to get you on the other side as soon as you got here so mom brought his stuff down already." Sei chuckled at the hint of malice towards Sesshomaru and said to his mate, "Go and get your armor on." Sesshomaru gave the kid a slight sneer as he headed up the stairs and left the two alone.
Looking at Souta, Sei shook his head and said, "Why the hell don't you give him a chance?" Grinning stupidly Souta said, "I just like to mess with him. Besides you're my big brother I have a say in who you date ya know!" Smiling Sei smacked Soutas head and said, "You're twisted you know that?" Grinning broadly Souta bowed and said, "Thank you for such a wonderful compliment." Rolling his eyes Sei asked, "Where's your mother and Jii-san?" Standing up straight Souta said, "Gramps was having some stomach problems and mom took him to the hospital." Placing a worried look on his face Sei asked, "It's not serious is it?" Souta shook his head and said, "Not really just massive bm's." Sei choked back a laugh and said, "Well that explains it." Souta laughed out loud but stop his laughter as Sesshomaru walked down in his armor and asked, "What is so amusing?"
Waving his hand in the, "nothing" manner, Sei said, "Just a comment by Souta about his grandfather. You ready?" Sesshomaru nodded and said, "Yes," before turning to Souta and said, "Give your mother my thanks." Souta nodded slightly and said, "No problem, glad we could be of help....OW!!" Souta rubbed his head as Sei smacked him for his sarcastic tone but instead of getting mad Souta slugged Sei in the arm and said, "Be a man don't rub it." Sei rolled his eyes and said, "Like you coulde ever hurt me." Souta was about to retort as Sesshomaru walked out and said, "I'll be on the other side, so when you two decide to act mature you can follow me." Glaring at the demons retreating back Sei waved to Souta and said, "Later, twerp." and jogged a bit so that he was standing next to Sesshomaru.
Opening the door Sei said, "You didn't have to get rude with us." Snorting Sesshomaru walked down the short staircase and said, "You two were acting like children and we can't afford to waste any time today so I did what was most effecient." Shutting the door Sei followed the demon and jumped on the wells ledge and blocked the demons passage. Staring at the human Sesshomaru asked, "What are you doing, Seiya?" Smiling Sei grabbed the demons waist and placed his head on the demons stomach and said, "I'm just a bit nervous about going to your parents graves. I mean I know they're dead but I've heard stories about how sometimes ghosts will appear at their graves when family members pay their respects."
Running his hand through the boys hair Sesshomaru stayed still as he said, "Do not worry. If such a thing were to happen I think my mother and father would find you worthy mate for me." Burying his face in the youkais stomach Sei said, "I hope so, because there's nothing worse than parents who hate the one you love." Pulling Seis head closer to him Sesshomaru softly said, "Don't worry about what they think. All that matters is my opinion and of course Rins." Chuckling into the demons stomach Sei breathed deeply before looking up and saying, "Well let's get this over with." And without a second glance he dropped backwards into the well and just as the flash of blue appeared Sesshomaru lept into the well and reappeared almost instantly on the other side.
Standing up and brushing his clothing off, Sesshomaru looked up to find Seiya smiling down at him and in a mocking tone said "Hurry it up we don't have all day." Glaring at the boy Sesshomaru leaped out of the well and landed gracefully on the wooden siding and said, "You will pay for mocking me, boy." Rolling his eyes Seiya smirked and said, "That's what you said last night but I think it was you who ended up paying dearly." Hopping down Sesshomaru stood chest to chest with the boy and said, "You may have subdued me but tonight you will be under my power." Smiling seductively Sei said, "Be gentle and patient because after this it won't be long before we mate."
Sesshomaru was about to give Sei a preview of the evenings events when a voice said, "Sesshomaru-sama!! Sei-san!!" Letting out a frustrated grunt Sei turned to find Rin and Jaken on Ah-Uns back riding towards them. Walking up to them Sei rubbed the dragons snout and asked, "Why are you two out here?" Hopping down Rin straightened her kimono and said, "You two said you would be arriving at this time so we decided to come and meet you." Sei couldn't get out a reply since Sesshomaru walked up behind him and said, "He's here." Looking towards the woods Sei heard the rustle of leaves and smirked as Inuyasha came to a sliding halt infront of them and said, "About time the two of you showed up." Glaring at the hanyou Jaken said, "You foolish half-breed! How dare you talk to my lord like that!" Taking out his fang Inuyasha reached out and pounded the toad in the head with its sheath and said, "Shut the hell up you worthless pond scum." With the sheath of the Tetsuisaiga slammed against his skull, Jakens eyes rolled into the back of his head and he fell to the ground unconcious which didn't attract the attention of anybody as Sesshomaru said, "You know why I'm here today, right brother?" Growling Inuyasha bared his claws and said, "Yeah you need my eye don't you?" Nodding Sesshomaru walked over to the toad and kicked him in the stomach as he said, "Get up, Jaken." The toad squirmed, sat up, and with a whine said, "What is it my lord?" Staring down at the toad Sesshomaru said, "I'll need your staff to open the portal."
Hopping to attention Jaken stood infront of Inuyasha and said, "I'm ready when you are my lord!" Taking his place infront of his brother Sesshomaru raised his claw and said, "Are you ready?" Getting into position the hanyou nodded and said, "Hurry it up and get this over with." Without even giving the demon a warning, Sesshomarus hand moved so quickly that it wasn't even clear what he'd done until Inuyasha was on the ground groaning in pain as his right eye socket was bleeding. Looking at his frined and then to his mate Sei asked, "What the hell did you do?" Looking at his mate Sesshomaru held up his bloody claw and showed Seiya a black pearl and said, "This is the passage to my fathers grave site. It was held in his eye and I needed to get it out. We don't know any other way to get there, so I used the only method we know of."
Looking down at Inuyasha, Sei was surprised to find that his eye had stopped bleeding and had returned to normal save for the fact that it was missing his pupil. Dropping to his friends level Sei asked, "You all right, Inuyasha?" The hanyou nodded and said, "I'm just blind in one eye, but I'll live. Just hurry it up and go visit my father so I can get my eye back." Standing up Sei said, "Okay so now what do we do?" Sesshomaru said nothing as he dropped the pearl on the ground and waited as Jaken hobbled over and touched it with the Staff of Heads. Watching Jakens actions, the group remained silent as a portal appeared out of thin air and let out the sound of rushing wind. Gulping Sei walked forward and asked, "So this is the passage to your fathers grave?" Sesshomaru nodded and said, "Yes, and since we're all here, Rin you are to come with us so get on Ah-Un and follow." Rin bowed and said, "Yes, sir." As the girl got the dragon Sei walked forward and placed his hand in the portal and was surprised that it didn't went through and looked to Sesshomaru before saying, "I guess I'll go first." Sesshomaru gave him a reassuring look and once the boy had stepped through Sesshomaru followed right behind him, and was followed by Jaken and Rin while Inuyasha took to leaning against the well and waited for them to come back.
The trip through the portal was nothing like the well, instead of a sea of blue light and white dots, the portal was nothing but a mass of white and just as he began to think it wouldn't stop Sei was on top of a giant bone looked up and saw a bunch of winged skeletons flying around. Looking next to him he saw Sesshomaru and the others staring straight ahead. Following their gaze Sei let out a loud gasp as he saw a giant skeleton towering over the landscape. Looking over to his mate Sei asked, "Is that your father?" Sesshomaru nodded and said, "That is my fathers true form. He had three main forms, the human one which he used to mate with my brothers mother and my mother, his dog form which was nothing but a gigantic silver furred canine and this one that was like a giant humanoid dog creature. He put himself in this dimension so his spirit would find rest." Taking in the skeletons gaze Sei asked, "So how are we getting over there?"
Putting his tongue between his teeth Sesshomaru let out a sharp whistle that caused Seis ears to hurt. Looking over at the demon he asked, "What was that for?" Chuckling Sesshomaru said, "I was getting us passage to my fathers corpse." Looking ahead Sei saw two of those bone birds fly towards them at an amazing speed and just as he thought they were about to crash into them, they folded their wings in such a manner that they immediately slowed down and came to a halt right in front of them. Walking forward Sesshomaru rubbed the nearest birds nose before climbing on its back. Taking a deep breath Sei did as his chosen had done before him and climbed on the back of his steed. It felt a little odd riding on a pile of bones but when he said, "How do we..." the birds took the air and flew at the corpse of the former Inu-no-Taisho.
Gripping the steed with his thighs Seis, eyes were all but blinded by the rushing air and did his best to keep himself from crying at the stinging air. The trip was over almost as quickly as it had begun and he was soon rubbing his eyes so hard that it seemed to make the irritation worse. Finally he opted for leaving them alone and just blinked for about five minutes and once he could see clearly he saw that Sesshomaru and the others were watching him curiously. Chuckling nervously he said, "Sorry I'm not really used to flying like that." Rin giggled and said, "Don't worry Seiya-san. I was like that the first few times flying on Ah-Un, but you should have just left your eyes alone so they wouldn't have gotten red."
Sei grinned sheepishly and said, "Yeah, I guess that would have helped make me look more presentable." Walking forward Sesshomaru stopped a few inches from the boys face and said, "Don't worry about your looks. This is my fathers corpse he can't judge you." But the demon spoke too soon as out of nowhere a white flame appeared next to Rin and caused Ah-Un to take to the air before landing a few feet away with Jaken in its claw. Unsheathing Tokijin Sesshomaru stood between Seiya and the flame and asked, "Who is here defiling my fathers grave?"
His question however was completely pointless since once it was asked the flame glowed even brighter and soon took the shape of a tall silver haired man. Sei looked at the figure and saw that he had two pieces of fur going across his chest and back, but besides the fur the man was also clad in full battle armor and had two purple marks on each of his cheeks and had his hair in a high pony tail. Sei let out a gasp when he got a good look at the figures face and said, "I think that's your father koi." Sesshomaru sheathed his blade and said, "How is this possible father?" The ghostly figure smiled and said, "My son, it is good to see how much you have grown. Not only in strength and body but also in heart. I left my sword with you in hopes that you would learn the value of saving others and from my place in Hell, I have seen you do just as I wished."
Removing the right fang of his father Sesshomaru stabbed it into his fathers skull and said, "It has helped me many times father. I have used it to vanquish your enemies and to save the life of a girl I consider my daughter." The former Taishos smile grew as he looked at his fang and said, "I would have saved your mother with it but she said she did not want to be saved. It was her destiny to die giving birth to you and no matter how much I begged her she did not want me to use it on her and I kept my oath not to revive her. I'm sorry that you blame me for not doing so but it was her dying wish and I couldn't deny her that." Sesshomaru kept his cold gaze and said, "I have moved beyond that father. I know that you did your best in the era that I was born in. The demons were constantly at war and you needed me to be strong and ruthless to survive but now such wars only exist between Men and I have something else to protect."
The Taisho looked up from his fang and said in a serious manner, "The human boy standing behind you, let him step forward." Looking behind him Sesshomaru said, "He wishes to talk to you." Gulping Sei walked up to the blade and bowed deeply saying, "It's an honor to meet you sir." The ghost laughed and said, "It is an honor to meet the one who has claimed my sons heart." Looking up Seiya asked, "How do you know about us?" At the question the ghosts face went back to the typical Sesshomaru look and said, "I have seen that from the depths of hell as well. Not everything just how you two came to into eachothers company and some of the events that caused you to fall in love." Sei felt his face burn red but at the sight of the demons smile he asked, "You haven't seen what is meant to go on behind closed doors have you?" Shaking his head the demon said, "No, when I sensed situations like that arising I gave you your privacy." Looking at Sesshomaru he said, "Sesshomaru, thank you for not killing your brother. I know you despise him but please for the sake of our family try and put your differences aside."
Snorting, Sesshomaru said, "Do not worry father, we have worked over our past differences. Now it's just Seiya that we fight over." The Taisho nodded and said, "Just do what your brother asks of you and protect this boy." Sesshomaru walked forward and placed a hand on Seiyas shoulder and said, "I will not allow this boy to come to any harm one we are mated." His father nodded at the two and turned his head to Rin and said, "Take care of her as well. I know of her feelings for that kitsune your brother keeps in his company." Sesshomaru bowed and said, "She is like my daughter and I will protect her as such." Looking back at his son the Taisho said, "I must go now my son, but remember that I will be watching you."
Sesshomarus eyes didn't falter as his father dissappeared in a burst of flame, and once he was gone the demon removed the fang from his fathers skull and placed it back in its sheath before saying to his companion, "We must get back." Standing up Sei decided to get on the back of Ah-Un, instead of one of those birds and was thankful that the dragon was a smoother journey than the winged buzzards.
Once on the other side the portal vanished instantly and transformed into its original shape and floated in the air awaiting its owner to retrieve it. Standing up Inuyasha snatched the pearl and allowed it to reattach itself and after blinking a few times said, "I'll see you guys later." And without another word headed to back to the village. Climbing off the dragon Sei asked, "So which way to your mothers grave?" Looking to the boy Sesshomaru said, "About two hours north east of here." Sei hugged the demon and said, "Glad your father approves." Grunting Sesshomaru said, "He never was one to be judgemental of how people chose to live their lives." Chuckling Sei knipped at Sesshomarus neck and said, "So how're we getting there?"
The question however was unnecessary, since before he'd even asked Sesshomaru had begun creating his flying energy and once it was formed said, "Hold onto me." and sped off in the direction of his mothers grave. The flight itself wasn't bad as Sei realized that the air wasn't whipping his eyes like it did on Ah-Un or that buzzard and guessed it was probably due to the energy emitted by Sesshomaru. He looked back to make sure that Ah-Un was keeping up and was glad to find the dragon right on their tail. The couple said nothing as they flew and time seemed to pass all to quickly and it wasn't long until Sesshomaru was setting down infront of a large monument.
Gazing up at the stone Sei could see faded letters but they were so worn that he only made out the name, Amaterasu. Not knowing what to say, Seiya found it best to remain quiet as Sesshomaru walked forward and brushed away much of the foliage that had taken to growing around his mothers grave. When it was cleared Sesshomaru placed a small bundle of flowers on the grave and said, "Forgive me for not visitng you mother. My duties have kept me busy over the past century but today is a special reason to visit. I have no memories of you, but from the words of my caretakers as a child you loved me more than your own life and never went a day without saying how much you loved me as I grew inside of you. I have done many deeds, some good, but by the common view many seem cruel and wicked but I did it only because that is how I was taught to react in situations where I was threatened."
Sei and the others wanted to comfort him but they remained silent as he continued, "But I have brought those I cherish most in my life with me to visit you today. The first is a young girl who I took care of me when I was injured despite the fact that I did not require any assitance and in seven years I view her as a daughter. The other is a boy who I also helped save. He is a human, and I have chosen him as my mate. Father approves of him and I only hope that you will give us your blessing from beyond the grave. Although I don't care much for the toad in my company he has his uses." Sei snorted a laugh and looked at Jaken and mouthed the words, "He cares for you." The toads eyes began to water as he heard the words but remained silent when Sesshomaru said, "Seiya, introduce yourself."
Bowing Seiya said, "I am Mizutani Seiya, the chosen of your son Sesshomaru. It is an honor to meet you Amaterasu-saman and hope you approve of me." But no ghost appeared as he bowed and one Rin and Jaken paid their respects they headed back to the well where before he left Sei gave Rin and Jaken a couple of gifts before kissing Sesshomaru deeply and said, "Next weekend you are to stay with me to meet my parents." Sesshomaru nodded and kissed the boy back before saying, "See you soon, koishii." Seiya cupped the demons face in his hands and kissed him again before saying good bye and going home.
Sorry for Fluffy being OOC with his mother. I just thought it'd make a nice change and show how open he can be. LATERS and hey someone please draw me a picture of a favorite scene. Not a lemon or lime but like a sleeping scene or something ya know? JA Ne!!!!

Arching an eyebrow Sei asked, "Where the hell do you come up with this stuff?"
Giving Sei an unusually genuine smile Sesshomaru said, "That device you call a television allows you to learn so many different things." Rolling his eyes Sei kissed the demons nose and said, "You're not allowed to watch it anymore." Letting out a small growl Sesshomaru leaned in and whispered in his ear, "Who gave you permission to tell me what to do?" Following the demons example Sei said in a similar tone, "You did when you decided to court me." Breathing heavily Sesshomaru said, "Damn you and your charms." Letting out a loud laugh Sei pushed the demon back and said, "Let's get going so we can find your dumb brother." Grabbing Sei by the neck Sesshomaru pulled him into a quick kiss before walking out of the alley with the boy keeping his arm around Seis neck, while Sei had his arms around the demons waist.
When they reached the top of the shrine steps the two noticed that it was awfully quiet around the Higurashi residence. Since there wasn't anything to keep them from the house Sei and Sesshomaru walked to the door and just as they were about to knock Souta opened the door and said, "The others are on the other side and said they'd be waiting at Kaedes." Staring at the teenager Sei asked, "Were you watching for us?" Grinning Souta said, "Yup! I was told to get you on the other side as soon as you got here so mom brought his stuff down already." Sei chuckled at the hint of malice towards Sesshomaru and said to his mate, "Go and get your armor on." Sesshomaru gave the kid a slight sneer as he headed up the stairs and left the two alone.
Looking at Souta, Sei shook his head and said, "Why the hell don't you give him a chance?" Grinning stupidly Souta said, "I just like to mess with him. Besides you're my big brother I have a say in who you date ya know!" Smiling Sei smacked Soutas head and said, "You're twisted you know that?" Grinning broadly Souta bowed and said, "Thank you for such a wonderful compliment." Rolling his eyes Sei asked, "Where's your mother and Jii-san?" Standing up straight Souta said, "Gramps was having some stomach problems and mom took him to the hospital." Placing a worried look on his face Sei asked, "It's not serious is it?" Souta shook his head and said, "Not really just massive bm's." Sei choked back a laugh and said, "Well that explains it." Souta laughed out loud but stop his laughter as Sesshomaru walked down in his armor and asked, "What is so amusing?"
Waving his hand in the, "nothing" manner, Sei said, "Just a comment by Souta about his grandfather. You ready?" Sesshomaru nodded and said, "Yes," before turning to Souta and said, "Give your mother my thanks." Souta nodded slightly and said, "No problem, glad we could be of help....OW!!" Souta rubbed his head as Sei smacked him for his sarcastic tone but instead of getting mad Souta slugged Sei in the arm and said, "Be a man don't rub it." Sei rolled his eyes and said, "Like you coulde ever hurt me." Souta was about to retort as Sesshomaru walked out and said, "I'll be on the other side, so when you two decide to act mature you can follow me." Glaring at the demons retreating back Sei waved to Souta and said, "Later, twerp." and jogged a bit so that he was standing next to Sesshomaru.
Opening the door Sei said, "You didn't have to get rude with us." Snorting Sesshomaru walked down the short staircase and said, "You two were acting like children and we can't afford to waste any time today so I did what was most effecient." Shutting the door Sei followed the demon and jumped on the wells ledge and blocked the demons passage. Staring at the human Sesshomaru asked, "What are you doing, Seiya?" Smiling Sei grabbed the demons waist and placed his head on the demons stomach and said, "I'm just a bit nervous about going to your parents graves. I mean I know they're dead but I've heard stories about how sometimes ghosts will appear at their graves when family members pay their respects."
Running his hand through the boys hair Sesshomaru stayed still as he said, "Do not worry. If such a thing were to happen I think my mother and father would find you worthy mate for me." Burying his face in the youkais stomach Sei said, "I hope so, because there's nothing worse than parents who hate the one you love." Pulling Seis head closer to him Sesshomaru softly said, "Don't worry about what they think. All that matters is my opinion and of course Rins." Chuckling into the demons stomach Sei breathed deeply before looking up and saying, "Well let's get this over with." And without a second glance he dropped backwards into the well and just as the flash of blue appeared Sesshomaru lept into the well and reappeared almost instantly on the other side.
Standing up and brushing his clothing off, Sesshomaru looked up to find Seiya smiling down at him and in a mocking tone said "Hurry it up we don't have all day." Glaring at the boy Sesshomaru leaped out of the well and landed gracefully on the wooden siding and said, "You will pay for mocking me, boy." Rolling his eyes Seiya smirked and said, "That's what you said last night but I think it was you who ended up paying dearly." Hopping down Sesshomaru stood chest to chest with the boy and said, "You may have subdued me but tonight you will be under my power." Smiling seductively Sei said, "Be gentle and patient because after this it won't be long before we mate."
Sesshomaru was about to give Sei a preview of the evenings events when a voice said, "Sesshomaru-sama!! Sei-san!!" Letting out a frustrated grunt Sei turned to find Rin and Jaken on Ah-Uns back riding towards them. Walking up to them Sei rubbed the dragons snout and asked, "Why are you two out here?" Hopping down Rin straightened her kimono and said, "You two said you would be arriving at this time so we decided to come and meet you." Sei couldn't get out a reply since Sesshomaru walked up behind him and said, "He's here." Looking towards the woods Sei heard the rustle of leaves and smirked as Inuyasha came to a sliding halt infront of them and said, "About time the two of you showed up." Glaring at the hanyou Jaken said, "You foolish half-breed! How dare you talk to my lord like that!" Taking out his fang Inuyasha reached out and pounded the toad in the head with its sheath and said, "Shut the hell up you worthless pond scum." With the sheath of the Tetsuisaiga slammed against his skull, Jakens eyes rolled into the back of his head and he fell to the ground unconcious which didn't attract the attention of anybody as Sesshomaru said, "You know why I'm here today, right brother?" Growling Inuyasha bared his claws and said, "Yeah you need my eye don't you?" Nodding Sesshomaru walked over to the toad and kicked him in the stomach as he said, "Get up, Jaken." The toad squirmed, sat up, and with a whine said, "What is it my lord?" Staring down at the toad Sesshomaru said, "I'll need your staff to open the portal."
Hopping to attention Jaken stood infront of Inuyasha and said, "I'm ready when you are my lord!" Taking his place infront of his brother Sesshomaru raised his claw and said, "Are you ready?" Getting into position the hanyou nodded and said, "Hurry it up and get this over with." Without even giving the demon a warning, Sesshomarus hand moved so quickly that it wasn't even clear what he'd done until Inuyasha was on the ground groaning in pain as his right eye socket was bleeding. Looking at his frined and then to his mate Sei asked, "What the hell did you do?" Looking at his mate Sesshomaru held up his bloody claw and showed Seiya a black pearl and said, "This is the passage to my fathers grave site. It was held in his eye and I needed to get it out. We don't know any other way to get there, so I used the only method we know of."
Looking down at Inuyasha, Sei was surprised to find that his eye had stopped bleeding and had returned to normal save for the fact that it was missing his pupil. Dropping to his friends level Sei asked, "You all right, Inuyasha?" The hanyou nodded and said, "I'm just blind in one eye, but I'll live. Just hurry it up and go visit my father so I can get my eye back." Standing up Sei said, "Okay so now what do we do?" Sesshomaru said nothing as he dropped the pearl on the ground and waited as Jaken hobbled over and touched it with the Staff of Heads. Watching Jakens actions, the group remained silent as a portal appeared out of thin air and let out the sound of rushing wind. Gulping Sei walked forward and asked, "So this is the passage to your fathers grave?" Sesshomaru nodded and said, "Yes, and since we're all here, Rin you are to come with us so get on Ah-Un and follow." Rin bowed and said, "Yes, sir." As the girl got the dragon Sei walked forward and placed his hand in the portal and was surprised that it didn't went through and looked to Sesshomaru before saying, "I guess I'll go first." Sesshomaru gave him a reassuring look and once the boy had stepped through Sesshomaru followed right behind him, and was followed by Jaken and Rin while Inuyasha took to leaning against the well and waited for them to come back.
The trip through the portal was nothing like the well, instead of a sea of blue light and white dots, the portal was nothing but a mass of white and just as he began to think it wouldn't stop Sei was on top of a giant bone looked up and saw a bunch of winged skeletons flying around. Looking next to him he saw Sesshomaru and the others staring straight ahead. Following their gaze Sei let out a loud gasp as he saw a giant skeleton towering over the landscape. Looking over to his mate Sei asked, "Is that your father?" Sesshomaru nodded and said, "That is my fathers true form. He had three main forms, the human one which he used to mate with my brothers mother and my mother, his dog form which was nothing but a gigantic silver furred canine and this one that was like a giant humanoid dog creature. He put himself in this dimension so his spirit would find rest." Taking in the skeletons gaze Sei asked, "So how are we getting over there?"
Putting his tongue between his teeth Sesshomaru let out a sharp whistle that caused Seis ears to hurt. Looking over at the demon he asked, "What was that for?" Chuckling Sesshomaru said, "I was getting us passage to my fathers corpse." Looking ahead Sei saw two of those bone birds fly towards them at an amazing speed and just as he thought they were about to crash into them, they folded their wings in such a manner that they immediately slowed down and came to a halt right in front of them. Walking forward Sesshomaru rubbed the nearest birds nose before climbing on its back. Taking a deep breath Sei did as his chosen had done before him and climbed on the back of his steed. It felt a little odd riding on a pile of bones but when he said, "How do we..." the birds took the air and flew at the corpse of the former Inu-no-Taisho.
Gripping the steed with his thighs Seis, eyes were all but blinded by the rushing air and did his best to keep himself from crying at the stinging air. The trip was over almost as quickly as it had begun and he was soon rubbing his eyes so hard that it seemed to make the irritation worse. Finally he opted for leaving them alone and just blinked for about five minutes and once he could see clearly he saw that Sesshomaru and the others were watching him curiously. Chuckling nervously he said, "Sorry I'm not really used to flying like that." Rin giggled and said, "Don't worry Seiya-san. I was like that the first few times flying on Ah-Un, but you should have just left your eyes alone so they wouldn't have gotten red."
Sei grinned sheepishly and said, "Yeah, I guess that would have helped make me look more presentable." Walking forward Sesshomaru stopped a few inches from the boys face and said, "Don't worry about your looks. This is my fathers corpse he can't judge you." But the demon spoke too soon as out of nowhere a white flame appeared next to Rin and caused Ah-Un to take to the air before landing a few feet away with Jaken in its claw. Unsheathing Tokijin Sesshomaru stood between Seiya and the flame and asked, "Who is here defiling my fathers grave?"
His question however was completely pointless since once it was asked the flame glowed even brighter and soon took the shape of a tall silver haired man. Sei looked at the figure and saw that he had two pieces of fur going across his chest and back, but besides the fur the man was also clad in full battle armor and had two purple marks on each of his cheeks and had his hair in a high pony tail. Sei let out a gasp when he got a good look at the figures face and said, "I think that's your father koi." Sesshomaru sheathed his blade and said, "How is this possible father?" The ghostly figure smiled and said, "My son, it is good to see how much you have grown. Not only in strength and body but also in heart. I left my sword with you in hopes that you would learn the value of saving others and from my place in Hell, I have seen you do just as I wished."
Removing the right fang of his father Sesshomaru stabbed it into his fathers skull and said, "It has helped me many times father. I have used it to vanquish your enemies and to save the life of a girl I consider my daughter." The former Taishos smile grew as he looked at his fang and said, "I would have saved your mother with it but she said she did not want to be saved. It was her destiny to die giving birth to you and no matter how much I begged her she did not want me to use it on her and I kept my oath not to revive her. I'm sorry that you blame me for not doing so but it was her dying wish and I couldn't deny her that." Sesshomaru kept his cold gaze and said, "I have moved beyond that father. I know that you did your best in the era that I was born in. The demons were constantly at war and you needed me to be strong and ruthless to survive but now such wars only exist between Men and I have something else to protect."
The Taisho looked up from his fang and said in a serious manner, "The human boy standing behind you, let him step forward." Looking behind him Sesshomaru said, "He wishes to talk to you." Gulping Sei walked up to the blade and bowed deeply saying, "It's an honor to meet you sir." The ghost laughed and said, "It is an honor to meet the one who has claimed my sons heart." Looking up Seiya asked, "How do you know about us?" At the question the ghosts face went back to the typical Sesshomaru look and said, "I have seen that from the depths of hell as well. Not everything just how you two came to into eachothers company and some of the events that caused you to fall in love." Sei felt his face burn red but at the sight of the demons smile he asked, "You haven't seen what is meant to go on behind closed doors have you?" Shaking his head the demon said, "No, when I sensed situations like that arising I gave you your privacy." Looking at Sesshomaru he said, "Sesshomaru, thank you for not killing your brother. I know you despise him but please for the sake of our family try and put your differences aside."
Snorting, Sesshomaru said, "Do not worry father, we have worked over our past differences. Now it's just Seiya that we fight over." The Taisho nodded and said, "Just do what your brother asks of you and protect this boy." Sesshomaru walked forward and placed a hand on Seiyas shoulder and said, "I will not allow this boy to come to any harm one we are mated." His father nodded at the two and turned his head to Rin and said, "Take care of her as well. I know of her feelings for that kitsune your brother keeps in his company." Sesshomaru bowed and said, "She is like my daughter and I will protect her as such." Looking back at his son the Taisho said, "I must go now my son, but remember that I will be watching you."
Sesshomarus eyes didn't falter as his father dissappeared in a burst of flame, and once he was gone the demon removed the fang from his fathers skull and placed it back in its sheath before saying to his companion, "We must get back." Standing up Sei decided to get on the back of Ah-Un, instead of one of those birds and was thankful that the dragon was a smoother journey than the winged buzzards.
Once on the other side the portal vanished instantly and transformed into its original shape and floated in the air awaiting its owner to retrieve it. Standing up Inuyasha snatched the pearl and allowed it to reattach itself and after blinking a few times said, "I'll see you guys later." And without another word headed to back to the village. Climbing off the dragon Sei asked, "So which way to your mothers grave?" Looking to the boy Sesshomaru said, "About two hours north east of here." Sei hugged the demon and said, "Glad your father approves." Grunting Sesshomaru said, "He never was one to be judgemental of how people chose to live their lives." Chuckling Sei knipped at Sesshomarus neck and said, "So how're we getting there?"
The question however was unnecessary, since before he'd even asked Sesshomaru had begun creating his flying energy and once it was formed said, "Hold onto me." and sped off in the direction of his mothers grave. The flight itself wasn't bad as Sei realized that the air wasn't whipping his eyes like it did on Ah-Un or that buzzard and guessed it was probably due to the energy emitted by Sesshomaru. He looked back to make sure that Ah-Un was keeping up and was glad to find the dragon right on their tail. The couple said nothing as they flew and time seemed to pass all to quickly and it wasn't long until Sesshomaru was setting down infront of a large monument.
Gazing up at the stone Sei could see faded letters but they were so worn that he only made out the name, Amaterasu. Not knowing what to say, Seiya found it best to remain quiet as Sesshomaru walked forward and brushed away much of the foliage that had taken to growing around his mothers grave. When it was cleared Sesshomaru placed a small bundle of flowers on the grave and said, "Forgive me for not visitng you mother. My duties have kept me busy over the past century but today is a special reason to visit. I have no memories of you, but from the words of my caretakers as a child you loved me more than your own life and never went a day without saying how much you loved me as I grew inside of you. I have done many deeds, some good, but by the common view many seem cruel and wicked but I did it only because that is how I was taught to react in situations where I was threatened."
Sei and the others wanted to comfort him but they remained silent as he continued, "But I have brought those I cherish most in my life with me to visit you today. The first is a young girl who I took care of me when I was injured despite the fact that I did not require any assitance and in seven years I view her as a daughter. The other is a boy who I also helped save. He is a human, and I have chosen him as my mate. Father approves of him and I only hope that you will give us your blessing from beyond the grave. Although I don't care much for the toad in my company he has his uses." Sei snorted a laugh and looked at Jaken and mouthed the words, "He cares for you." The toads eyes began to water as he heard the words but remained silent when Sesshomaru said, "Seiya, introduce yourself."
Bowing Seiya said, "I am Mizutani Seiya, the chosen of your son Sesshomaru. It is an honor to meet you Amaterasu-saman and hope you approve of me." But no ghost appeared as he bowed and one Rin and Jaken paid their respects they headed back to the well where before he left Sei gave Rin and Jaken a couple of gifts before kissing Sesshomaru deeply and said, "Next weekend you are to stay with me to meet my parents." Sesshomaru nodded and kissed the boy back before saying, "See you soon, koishii." Seiya cupped the demons face in his hands and kissed him again before saying good bye and going home.
Sorry for Fluffy being OOC with his mother. I just thought it'd make a nice change and show how open he can be. LATERS and hey someone please draw me a picture of a favorite scene. Not a lemon or lime but like a sleeping scene or something ya know? JA Ne!!!!
