Chapter 60
Standing on the side of the stage, Seiya nearly collapsed while his son outed him on national television. The whole crew gave him smirks of interest, and Ellen stared off camera asking if Seiya could come out onto the stage. After her stage director checked with the proper people, Ellen smiled into the camera saying, “And please welcome our next guest, and father of this cutie, Seiya Mizutani.” Looking at where Seiya was she laughed asking, “Michael, would you like to go and get your daddy out on camera.”
Nodding the boy jumped out of his seat and followed where the ladies gaze was set. “Excuse me, I’m trying to find my dad,” was what the boy said making his way through the all to happy crowd of staff. Reaching Seiya the boy grabbed his hand and looked up saying, “Daddy, she wants to talk to you. I think you’re in trouble.” The whole staff laughed as the boy began to pull a struggling Seiya on stage. Grunting with effort, the boy managed to pull him out to where the audience could see him. When the crowd gave a loud applause and cheers, the boy asked, “Why are they clapping?”
Finally breaking free from his spell, Seiya scooped the boy into his arms and waved as he whispered, “Because you told them about me and Papa. And also, they really like my book.” Sitting down he kept Lossonaur in place while shaking Ellen’s hand. When she asked if what the boy said was true, he nodded saying, “Been married almost ten years now and have three kids. But, one of thme doesn’t live at home. She’s actually got a job and a place of her own.” When Lossonaur said that Rin had to work, Seiya smirked saying, “Well she has to. Unlike you she doesn’t get to play all day and have naps.”
Sipping her water, Ellen placed the glass back asking, “How is it that she works? I mean you’re only in your early thirties.”
Sighing he said, “It’s a bit complicated. But, when Rin was about eight her parents died and my husband was made her legal guardian, and he raised her until she was about fifteen, then shortly after that he met me. So after we got married and everything I legally adopted her and that’s that. It is rather scary to think that a girl eight years younger than me has been calling me Dad for the past decade though.’”
Laughing Ellen asked, “Well what about him? He said that he has another sister. And judging by him she must be quite a handful as well.” A sudden shout of surprise had Ellen and the two males looking up into the audience. Scratching her chin she asked, “Michael, are your other dad and sister in the audience.” The boy continued to drink from Seiya’s glass saying nothing. Smiling the hostess told the blond man, “I guess they are. You want to go and check while I watch him?”
Looking at his son, Seiya sternly said in Japanese, “You be good or your butt’ll be sore later. Understand, Little Man?” When the boy set down his glass and confirmed that he would behave, Seiya left his son and began sneaking through the audience. On his search, he shook a few hands and even took a couple of pictures. His search continued for a while until he found what he was looking for. Creeping over he noticed certain markings on a mans cheek and wisps of silver hair sticking out from a ball cap. Walking over he reached out and smacked the man on the head saying, “You’re an ass you know that?”
Straightening his hat the man said, “I do not think hitting me in public will help your chances in selling this book.” When Seiya said that he didn’t care, Sesshomaru just smirked telling him, “I did not know the boy would say that on television. Nor did I give him permission to say it, I did however tell him you were in the building which sent him sniffing around the stage. But that cannot be undone now. So, I suggest you get your ass down there and finish this interview before you use up all the time you have been given.”
Knowing the demon was right, Seiya grumbled something about dealing with him that night as he made his way down the stairs. The audience then applauded and the interview continued. Thankfully, Ellen remained on topic about the book and put no pressure on him about his home life. Finishing it, Seiya was surprised to learn that the show was over and welcomed the audience to come up and take a few more pictures and gave autographs. The people were polite, and asked how he managed to land such a gorgeous man. Signing his name, he took one of his favorite lines from a book and said, “Animal magnetism, Ma’am.”
After the audience members left, Sesshomaru and Khilu came down the steps removing their hats. Shaking out her hair, Khilu smiled and gave Seiya a hug asking, “Do you like my haircut?” Feeling her dad’s hands ruffle her hair, Khilu told him, “It was too long and hot so I got it cut like Papa’s.” Turning around she showed that it was now up to just below her shoulders in a similar style like Sesshomaru’s. Facing Seiya again she held up a small jar saying, “And the man who did it gave me this stuff for it. He said it’s called ‘Dirt’ and it helps my hair. But it smells to weird to put in my hair.”
At that moment, Ellen walked up asking, “I take it this is your husband?” Confirming her suspicion, Seiya introduced Sesshomaru and Khilu to her. A bit amazed at the name, she asked, “Where did your dad’s come up with such a pretty name?” Khilu told them how they got the idea from a book and that in an elvish language it meant “after twilight,” and how her middle name meant, “gift.” Nodding Ellen told her, “I bet you were one precious gift for them.” She then stood up and shook Sesshomaru’s hand asking him, “So what do you do for a living?”
Shifting his feet, the demon said, “I work in the government dealing with internal affairs among different branches. My brother works along side me as well.” Noticing that she was put off a bit by his rather formal speech pattern and rigid stance, Sesshomaru said to her, “I apologize for having our son interrupt your taping. I thought it funny if he would at least get Seiya’s attention. Which he obviously did to a level that both of us find to be extremely alarming.” After hearing that it was no trouble, Sesshomaru excused himself so that he could keep their children from climbing into the seats set against the cameras.
Leaving the studio, Seiya was a bit alarmed that Catherine was not around. Checking his cell phone, he found a message from her saying that she had to go and do damage control because of Lossonaur’s overly honest thought process. Thanking Ellen, Seiya got into the limo with his family and headed back toward his hotel. As they drove he asked Sesshomaru where they were staying only to have the demon say, “We’re on the same floor as you. But we arrived a couple of days before you showed up in that place called San Diego. Kiba stayed behind because of an upset stomach.”
Laughing at the thought of a sick dog demon the human asked, “So did you guys just stay in the one room?” Sesshomaru said that was correct, he slept on a bed and Kiba stayed on a cot while the kids shared a bed. Giving his husband a kiss, Seiya watched their kids play with some of the limo accessories as he whispered, “Now they can’t get into our room without a key. Which reminds me, how the hell did you know where I was staying?” Reaching over and tugging on one of Lossonaurs ears, Seiya said, “You touch those bottles again and you won’t be able to sit.”
As the pup whimpered at the pain in his ear, Sesshomaru gave him a look saying, “Do not cry over something like that. You’re too young to drink what’s in those and despite what your nose is telling you it’s not healthy for you.” Looking to Seiya the demon added, “And to answer your question your publisher was in on this little escapade along with your father.” Smiling at his husbands sudden glare, Sesshomaru told him, “We knew you felt bad and it felt wrong to leave Kiba to take care of the children all the time while I had to stay in the city to do my work.”
That and you don’t like handling the kids all by yourself, Thought Seiya as Khilu asked if they could go and walk around for a bit. Rolling down the window to the drivers seat, Seiya asked how far they were from the hotel. “We’re about a mile away. Did you want me to drop you off?” Seiya asked if that would be a problem. “No Sir, if you want I can pull over right now.” Telling him that was a good idea, the driver pulled over into a parking spot and said goodbye to his charges and left without another word.
Putting his baseball hat on, Lossonaur took hold of Seiya’s hand while Sesshomaru walked next to them as Khilu stared in a window at some toys. Moving next to his daughter, Sesshomaru patted her head saying, “You don’t need any more of those things.” Looking up at her father, Khilu said that she thought she had seen somebody she knew in the store. Using his height to his advantage, Sesshomaru noticed a familiar person in the shop as well. Waving Seiya over, the demon said, “I think you may want to go and check out who’s in there.”
“Why the Hell should I check it out? You’re the one with all the demonic powers.” Sesshomaru and the kids each gave him the same glare, and it was at that moment he truly noticed Sesshomaru was their other father. Groaning he patted his sons head and went in saying, “Fine but if we die, I’m not bargaining your way into the better part of the Underworld.” Stepping in he politely greeted a few of the clerks and said hello to a few people who recognized him from the television. Finally after making his way into the back only to be forced into dodging a punch aimed at his face and grabbing the persons arm into his own.
“Seems that your husband has been keeping up with your training.” The man tried to break Seiya’s grip but couldn’t. Rolling his eyes he asked, “Are you really going to treat the man who performed your marriage ceremony this way?” Feeling the arm loosen, Jessy walked up and gave his cousin a hug asking, “What the hell are you doing here? I thought you were in San Diego?” Peeking through the aisle, Jessy saw Lossonaur sitting on Sesshomaru’s shoulders waving at them. Waving back, the former priest punched his cousin saying, “Let’s go and keep those kids from destroying this store to get to me.”
Outside, Jessy had two kids jump up and down hugging him while he greeted Sesshomaru with a firm handshake and a bow. After telling the kids that he was glad to see them, Jessy answered the question that was being catapulted at him since he stepped out the door. “I’m in town doing some work for a friend. He needed me to check up on a supposed group of demon terrorists and I’m just keeping a watch on them. Although Penny and the kids aren’t to thrilled that I keep on going back to my old job.” Jessy now had three kids with Penny and was working in a state building somewhere in the northwestern part of the country.
“It seems that you’re a warrior at heart and you’ll do what you can to keep a part of that alive. Although if you were to ask my brother and blade, I have yet to relinquish that aspect of my life.” The children looked at Sesshomaru as if he had lost all sense, while Seiya and Jessy allowed Sesshomaru to continue on with, “By the way, Lossonaur has something he’d like to ask you.” Pushing the boy forward, Sesshomaru gave him a look of frustration adding, “If you aren’t going to ask then there is no chance of us even going so take this opportunity or else the answer is no. I’ve given my thoughts but his answer is the ultimate decision.”
Seiya hated when Sesshomaru did this to him. Staring at his husband, Seiya said, “You know you can just talk to me about it and figure out if it fits in with the schedule. Because now if I say that we can’t, the kids are going to hate me.” Lossonaur walked over and said that he just wanted to know if Disney Land was in the city they were in. Sighing, Seiya ruffled his hair saying, “Yes it is in this state, and it’s a bit of a drive away. And do to my schedule, we can’t go unless by some miracle a rescheduling happens giving us a couple of weeks between now and the next visit, we can’t go.”
“Okay, Daddy, just wanted to know cuz Khilu said that it was somewhere else.” Turning his back on his father, Lossonaur walked over saying, “You owe me a hundred yen.” Sesshomaru and Seiya started to laugh before Jessy excused himself saying he had to get back to his post. “Bye Uncle Jessy!” The priest gave the kids a hug goodbye and Lossonaur yawned a moment after he left. Being asked if he needed a nap, the child said that he didn’t but continued to rub his eyes until Sesshomaru picked him up having him squeal out, “I’m not sleepy!”
Flicking his son in the nose as he held Khilu’s hands, Seiya said, “You’re cranky and yawning so you’re going back to the hotel and taking a nap.” Lossonaur moaned at the sudden sting to his nose and rubbed it trying to massage away the pain. Noticing Khilu was looking a bit tired, Seiya asked if she was in need of a nap. The girl nodded saying that the smells of the city were making her sleepy. Smiling, Seiya looked at his son who began making faces at his daughter. Flicking his nose again the blonde haired man told his son, “You wouldn’t be making those faces had you told me the truth about you being tired.”
Lossonaur huffed and told Sesshomaru he could walk the rest of the way. Setting the boy down, the demon lord had to grab him by the back of the shirt to keep him from running away. The boy tried to snap at his father only to have the demon pull his hat off and pull on one of his ears making the boy scream. Some people looked at Sesshomaru with rather odd looks but said nothing as the demons eyes met theirs. When he was certain that the people had given up trying to interfere, Sesshomaru hissed, “You keep acting up and you’re hind will be blistered.” Lossonaur stopped screaming and stuffed his hat back on before taking Sesshomaru’s hand. The threat worked as some time before Seiya left the boys human father had given him a rather strict punishment with the palm of his hand after the boy had thrown a fit and broken a few things.
Back in the hotel, the family went up to their floor to find Kiba hobbling down the hall with an ice-pack to his head. At the door to the room he shared with the children, Kiba’s nose twitched and he turned his head finding his charges standing next to him smiling. Grinning back he opened the door telling them to go and get a nap while he talked to their parents. Shutting the door, Kiba headed to the pair asking, “Everything okay Boss?” He could see Seiya roll his eyes at his nickname which made him feel better than he had over the last few days. Coughing as he stood in front of them, Kiba politely requested Seiya to leave. Seiya gave no quarrel noticing the urgency in the dog demons voice.
The door clicking closed, Sesshomaru smirked with a rather amused look. Finding his lord in this manner bothered Kiba forcing him to growl, “You know what my problem is yet you still won’t allow me to go and relieve it.” Sesshomaru said that he knew the real reason to Kiba’s discomfort, and the reason he would not allow Kiba to be relieved of it was because to do so would probably cause a fair bit of legal problems. “It’s a problem because I know I’ll get a bit violent and all the demons who would make good mates whether they be male or female cause no stir in me. And if I were to mate with a human female...” his voice trailed off at the possibilities of what would happen to the poor girl.
Sesshomaru clapped his vassal on the shoulder telling him, “I do apologize Kiba. I myself no the problem with being in heat and having no mate around. But, you’ve been like this for nearly a week and should stop in the next couple of days, at the earliest tomorrow.” The demon lord then thought to himself, Thankfully my children are still young or else it’d prove to be a problem with bringing him. Noticing the pale look on Kiba’s face, Sesshomaru then said, “Go and cool yourself off and get some sleep.” When the demon was back in his room, Sesshomaru walked over to Seiya’s door and knocked on it saying, “I have no key to get into here, Boy.”
Opening the door quickly at his old nickname, Seiya let him in and then stormed off to the bathroom muttering under his breath, “I’m going to take a shower. Hopefully this fucking make-up will come off with a bit of soap.” Going into the bathroom, Seiya turned the water on and stripped out of his clothing. Before getting in the shower, he brushed his teeth hastily and climbed in just as Sesshomaru opened the door. Peeking out from the fogged glass his face had lines showing where the make up had come off while asking, “What do you need?”
The demon held up the keycard saying, “I’m going to get my bags and check to make sure the brats are in their beds.” He then left the room without another word. Going a few doors down, Sesshomaru couldn’t believe the luck he and the children at not being noticed by Seiya during the time the family had shared the same floor. Pulling the keycard to the room he’d shared with the kids and Kiba the past few nights, Sesshomaru entered seeing Khilu and Lossonaur both slumbering peacefully in the two large beds that occupied the room while Kiba slept on a large cot that had been brought up for him.
It disturbed Sesshomaru that Kiba refused to take a bed a few nights saying he didn’t mind sharing a bed with the kids. But, his long time servant had taken the cot saying that it was more comfortable than it looked. Giving both his kids a kiss on the head, Sesshomaru picked up a medium-sized rolling suitcase and a small travel bag and left without waking the trio. At the door to his and Seiya’s room, Sesshomaru took the key out and entered still hearing the shower running. Glad that his mate decided to take a long shower, Sesshomaru knew that after this amount of time, Seiya wouldn’t care if he was disturbed by his husband joining him.
Placing his bags at the foot of the bed, Sesshomaru stripped down and walked into the bathroom and sighed at it’s extravagance. He could not figure out why people found it necessary to build such things. The shower itself could easily fit four large men easily and such thoughts weren’t ones he wanted in his head. Looking at the large frosted glass, Sesshomaru noticed that his mate had decided to sit on the ground and let the water rain against his skin. Climbing in, Sesshomaru stood directly in the path of one of he shower heads cutting off some of the spray asking his mate, “Do you intend to look like a mummified corpse?”
Opening one eye, Seiya sneered answering his mate with, “Like it matters if I look like a corpse. All I need is to air dry and I’ll look like I do now.” Sesshomaru smirked saying that a shaggy dog wasn’t a suitable look for the human. Resisting the urge to knock the demons feet to the side, Seiya put his head back against the wall of the shower inquiring as to what his mate wanted. The demon scoffed telling him that he wanted to take a shower as well forcing Seiya to reply with, “Well if there is one of us with a smell it’s go to be you because who else would I blame for a stink around here but the dog?”
That comment inadvertently hit a nerve despite the lightness in Seiya’s voice. Sucking his claws back into his hands, Sesshomaru bent down to his mates level asking him, “If I’m a dog, then doesn’t that mean you can be arrested for mating with something outside of your species?” The two shared a small laugh when Sesshomaru broke it by leaning in and kissing his husband. Seiya kissed back happily at the affection his mate was showing. Removing his lips after a moment, Sesshomaru gave another quick kiss before saying, “It’s a bit warm in here.” Seiya asked if he should turn the water on cold making the demon shudder out, “I took the children into that pool the day before you arrived at it was almost like being trapped in ice.”
Laughing at the what happened to his mate while in the water, Seiya wiped the water away from his eyes and blinked a few times before climbing shakily to his feet. Grabbing the shampoo he told Sesshomaru that he wanted to finish getting cleaned up, but the demon had other ideas on in mind. Taking the bottle away, Sesshomaru Reached around Seiya’s front in an attempt to stimulate the human only to hear a knock come from the other side of the door.
Saying that the demon would have to wait, Seiya left the bathroom after putting a pair of shorts on and answered the door to find his son holding a teddy bear while standing next to a woman. Letting them in, Seiya wasn’t surprised to have his son ask him, “Daddy how come you have all those big scars on you?” When Seiya grabbed some clothing without asking, Lossonaur kept quiet when he heard his fathers talk about who was in the room. After his father came back into the main part of the room the boy asked, “Were you hurt by someone bad?”
Smiling at his son, Seiya pulled on one of his many long-sleeved tee-shirts answering with, “Yes I was hurt a long time before you were born by many bad people. But they’re not a problem anymore and I want you to promise me that you won’t talk about this okay?” The boy nodded happily asking very quickly why the lady was standing next to him when he knocked on the door. “Well,” Seiya began, “she’s the lady who makes sure Daddy gets to where he needs to be for this trip. And judging by her reaction she had knowledge of your being a part of this trip.”
Holding up a folder Catherine exclaimed, “Kagome called me awhile back and had me make arrangements for them and their caretaker.” Before Seiya could ask, the door to the bathroom opened. “Looks like fate has a way of making us all meet again even after death.” Catherine looked over to where Sesshomaru stood and smirked at the sudden change in the demons expression. His eyes had transformed, his fangs elongated, and his markings broadened taking up almost all of his face.
Smelling the danger, Lossonaur curled up next to Seiya asking, “Daddy I’m scared.” The words echoed into Sesshomaru’s ears forcing his head to jerk violently much to the amusement of Catherine. Seeing the woman mocking his father hit a nerve in Lossonaur nobody had really seen and the boy went up and kicked her shin shouting, “It’s your fault he got like that!” The woman screamed in pain and looked at the boy in shock but kept her temper in check asking why the boy would do that. “Because he’s my daddy and an old hag like you shouldn’t make fun of him.”
The boy tried to go after the woman yet had to be held back from her by his father saying, “Enough Lossonaur, she’s not worth it. Although how she was reborn as a human is an odd twist of fate.” He stopped for a moment and gave a loud sniff before correcting himself saying, “My mistake, it seems you’re only half human. Which one of your parents was the demon, Kagura?” The woman just smirked saying that it was her mother that was the demon who was a snake demon instead of a spider demon. “Well then, so long as you do not attempt to harm any in my family I will not have to kill you. If you agree with those terms.”
Kagura looked over to Seiya, then at an incredibly vicious looking Lossonaur. Smirking she said while looking at the young boy, “So long as the brat does not try and attack me again, I will agree to your terms Lord Sesshomaru.” Sesshomaru created a cut in one of his palms and stuck his hand out. Kagura did the same and shook the offered hand. When their hands disconnected, Kagura cleaned away the small blood mark revealing a bare palm. Turning to Seiya she said, “Now there is no need to worry about me stealing away your children. Although since I was reborn into a life of freedom I never had any reason to.” She began to walk out of the room before turning back and saying, “By the way you’ll be hitting all your mid-west things after New York, so I guess you can say ya get a bit of a vacation here.”
After she left, Khilu and Kiba walked in with looks of confusion on their faces. Looking a great deal better than he had when Seiya first saw him, Kiba asked, “What the hell is that wench doing alive? I thought she had died when Naraku destroyed her heart?” Sesshomaru told Kiba that she had been reborn as a hanyou to which Kiba just remained quiet before muttering, “At least she told us we didn’t have to rush out of here tomorrow. And, for some reason I’m feeling a hell of a lot better.”
Realizing that they would be staying a lot longer, Khilu asked her father’s, “Does that mean we get to go to Disney Land?” Upon hearing his sister ask the question, Lossonaur said that he couldn’t because he had been bad earlier that day to which Khilu replied, “Well then I’ll have Papa take pictures of all the things you’re going to miss. OW!” The resonating sound of the slap the girl had received to the back of her head from Sesshomaru had Lossonaur giggling telling her that she wouldn’t be able to go.
“Again I must tell you children that because I do not know much about this place, it is his job to decide as to whether or not we are to visit it.” Giving his mate a look the demon asked, “Now are we to visit this place or keep them tied to an area in the vicinity of this hotel?” Finishing the question, Sesshomaru noticed Kiba poking at Seiya’s ribs in an attempt to remove the human from the sudden sleep that had over taken him. Stepping over to his mate, Sesshomaru took his finger and poked the humans forehead pushing his head against the wall with a small thud jerking the human from his nap.
“Whasssa matter,” he asked after feeling the bang against his head. Rubbing some sleep out of his eyes, Seiya noticed Sesshomaru glaring at him for dozing off during a discussion. Yawning right in the demons face, Seiya climbed under the covers saying, “Since we got the week whatever you discussed is okay with me.” Bad move on his part because once he let those words slip past his lips, the children piled on top of him thanking him for their trip to an amusement park. “Oh God what have I done?”
That night at the hotel restaurant the group, excluding the newly revealed Kagura, Seiya was a bit surprised that his children were behaving themselves. Granted the children were for lack of a better word, ‘conditioned,’ to follow the proper rules of etiquette when eating. Normally the children would act up a little, sometimes they’d make faces at one another or play with a bit of food, but he figured it had to deal with them getting to meet some of their favorite cartoon characters that gave them a reason to act like a couple of snobs. Uncomfortable with the situation, Seiya picked up a pea with his fork and flung it at Kiba.
The demon blinked at the impact of a pea against his nose. Snarling he gave the kids a look of severe annoyance, but recanted his blame when Khilu continued to eat her meal quietly and Lossonaur waited with an empty plate. Upon seeing the plates, Kiba figured out that neither of them had peas on their plate and turned to Sesshomaru’s seeing that he had some pasta dish with steak, leaving only one person responsible. Placing the vegetable in his fork, Kiba flicked it at Seiya, only to have it’s direction go askew and hit Lossonaur’s forehead.
“Papa, Kiba’s throwing food.” The boy picked the pea up and threw it back at his friend saying, “You’re supposed to eat your vegetables because they make you grow big.” Khilu then added that peas tasted like boogers. Lossonaur took a bit of broccoli that had been given to him by Seiya and placed it on his sister’s plate telling her, “Then eat this because it tastes like you’re ramen.” Khilu growled but a cough from Sesshomaru had the girl calming down immediately. Finding the green vegetable back on his plate, Lossonaur ate it quietly.
After dinner was done, Seiya took the children up to their room as Sesshomaru remained sitting at the table sipping a glass of tea as Kiba pulled out a few documents. Flipping through a few of them, Kiba handed one to his employer saying, “Inuyasha sent this by fax while you and the children went to bother Seiya. Apparently a couple of Cougar’s came into his office requesting an audience with you. They say that it is important and you might want to consider talking to them. They also said that they’d leave a few select items in our department as a symbol of good will.”
Reaching into the pile, Sesshomaru found an envelope with gold writing written on it. Noticing that it was in an old demonic language, the demon lord asked, “Where did this come from?” Kiba gave the envelope an odd look explaining that it must have slipped from his bag. Opening the envelope Sesshomaru smirked saying, “Seems that our new Cougar friends also gave a substantial financial donation to one of the charities Gerald used to handle. Fifty-million seems to be an awful lot to guarantee a meeting.” Placing the letter back in it’s enclosure Sesshomaru added, “But it is nice to see a few of those bastards squirm for a bit of forgiveness. Last time one had actually attempted contact was to threaten revenge for the killing of their leader at the hands of that man.”
Kiba shuttered remembering the man that Jessy had taken to help with the rescue of Khilu. He was in dog form, but the stench of blood on the man was worse than most demons. Not to mention the aura that shrouded the man so violently. The thing that seemed so queer about the man occurred when Khilu talked to him. Her presence seemed to counteract the violent tendencies of the man and he treated her kindly. Going back to his paperwork, Kiba and Sesshomaru soon were asked if they would be needing anything else as the main dining area would soon be closing for the night. “I think we’re good, correct?”
Sesshomaru placed his teacup down, pulled out some bills, and placed a couple under the saucer thanking their waitress for her service that night. Removing himself from the table, Sesshomaru and Kiba went to the elevator and rose to their floor. Upon exiting, Lossonaur appeared from around the corner with a couple of dollar bills in his hand, greeted the two and went into the small vending area in an attempt to by some sodas. Seiya appeared around the corner to find his son standing on the tip of his toes trying to put in one of the bills. Snatching them from his hand Seiya put it in and pressed for a soda telling the boy, “You don’t need the brown sodas so this will do.”
Coming out with a green soda bottle, the boy told Kiba that he needed to go back to the room because of “Finding Nemo,” being on the television. Allowing himself to be taken back to the room by the boy Kiba bid the two good night while telling the boy to say goodnight to his parents. Saying that they would come in later to tuck him in the boy whined that they would miss the start of the movie. The boy pulled the full grown demon down the hall leaving to the task of taking the juice he’d just purchased to his daughter.
Giving Sesshomaru a kiss on the cheek, Seiya followed his children into their room, only to be sucked into the movie and falling asleep on the bed with Khilu resting her head on his stomach. Next morning Lossonaur crouched on his bed in a manner much like the one used when he snuck up and attacked Khilu in his dog form, sailed through the air, and landed directly onto Seiya’s chest. Sitting up gasping for air, Seiya grabbed his son by the neck of his night shirt and asked him what his problem was. Pointing at the clock the boy said, “Papa told me that you had to get up or else we’re gonna be late.”
Staring at the clock, Seiya stared at the boy asking, “It’s seven in the morning do you know that?” The boy said that it didn’t matter because Sesshomaru somehow gotten tickets to the park before it opened. Seeing that his son was already dressed and that he was the only one in the room, Seiya went to his room finding it empty. Sticking his head out, Lossonaur came by telling his dad that Sesshomaru and the other two were down in the lobby waiting. Pulling his son in, Seiya brushed his teeth and changed into a pair of shorts and did something he only did on rare occasions. He dressed in a short sleeve tee-shirt.
Ready for the days events, Seiya led his son to the lobby where the rest of his group waited with a small bit of impatience. Apologizing for his tardiness, Seiya left with his family to the amusement park where there was already a large line. Peeking at Sesshomaru’s hand finding a new pass that pretty much let them by pass the four hour waits turning a sixth of the day wait into one of about fifteen minutes. Seiya was about to ask how much those were, only to be cut off by Sesshomaru saying, “It came out of my account and made no dent so there’s no reason to worry.” That was the truth, and nobody could deny it since both Seiya and Sesshomaru’s accounts had enough money to put a few billionaires around the world to shame.
Brushing off his husbands inquiry, Sesshomaru handed over their tickets and was surprised when the whole group was given bracelets about the size of a small watch. The adults immediately understood, but the kids ended up thinking they were in a spy movie and started to use them as walkie talkies. “These are to let us on the rides, not to talk to one another.” The kids ignored their demon parent and continued to play as they walked through the park. After a long couple of hours going through some of the gift shops, the adults ended up at a roller coaster. Not being one for things like that, Seiya was prepared to just let Kiba go on, but Sesshomaru had other plans. Asking if Kiba could watch the children while they went on first, the demon pulled his husband to the line and kept him firmly in line.
Getting to the front, Seiya gave the ride a much closer look and laughed. While he wasn’t a fan of roller coasters, the human handled such things much better than his husband. Amazed that the demon survived a Trans-Antlantic flight with two children,j Seiya wondered how he would handle a ride traveling at one-sixth the speed of the average plane with no roof or sides. Throw in the only bit of protection being some straps on your arms. Getting into the middle, Seiya pulled put on his waist strap and pulled down the arms straps. Sesshomaru followed suit and waited asking why they weren’t moving. Seiya just kept quiet and let the ride operator finish his speech.
When the ride began to move, Seiya saw the regret Sesshomaru had in his eyes, but as they climbed up the starting to climb the hill, the demon could do nothing. He could have broken the straps and jumped, but that would draw too much attention. The demon could not even erect the invisible barrier he used to protect his skin when he flew at high speeds, lest it have a negative effect and cause problems for the ride and drive it off the tracks.
Now Seiya wasn’t afraid of the ride, he’d been on quite a few making him used to them, but he did not like them as many people did. So, Seiya would scream out of excitement, but when the words, “Oh shit,” were emitted from Sesshomaru, the human began to laugh through out the ride. He even laughed a bit at his husband grabbing his hand and squeezing his hand out of fear. When they hit the first loop that went up about seventy feet Seiya feared that all those on the ride would be covered in vomit. After five corkscrews and a couple more loops, the ride came to an end. Being on the outside, Seiya got off the ride first and had to laugh at the imprints Sesshomaru had made in his arm straps. Removing the hands gently, Seiya led the tramautized demon off the ride to find the kids on a more family safe ride with Kiba a few feet away. Waving to the kids, Sesshomaru walked over to a garbage bin and began to heave up some of his breakfast. By the time he’d finished the trio of youngsters were standing there looking at him laughing only to have the demon glare at them with murderous intent.
