So, everyone! How's the story? I hope you like it. The people I mentioned in the last chapter thank you very much. I will probably be posting thank yous on every chapter for the people that review…unless I get none…then I won't thank anyone. Just joking, I'll still thank all of you for reading. Here's chapter four.

Kouga woke up to someone calling out to him.
“Kagome?” he asked, still groggy from sleep.
“Sir? Are you alright?” a soft, feminine voice asked and a pair of green eyes set into a pretty face came into view, fiery red hair swirling around her as the wind picked it up.
“I…where am I?” he asked dimly.
“Um…You're at my house. I found you on the beach,” the girl said, looking worriedly at him.
“Who are you?” Kouga asked as he tried to sit up, his muscles screaming in protest
“I'm Ayame,” she said, moving away from the edge of the bed. She got him a glass of water and helped to pull him into a reclining position before holding the water to his lips.
"Beach? Am I on an Island?" Kouga asked, taking a drink of the water.
"You're in Japan," she said.
"Am I?" he asked stupidly.
"Yes," she said, sounding confused.
He laid back, breathing a sigh.
"you should really get some sleep," she said, smoothing his hair out of his face.
Ayame had been taking care of the mystery man for over a week now and she'd come to... like having him here. He was very handsome, with high cheekbones, and a small, chiseled nose. He had a high forehead and long dark brown hair that was up in a high pony tail. he was small, but very muscular. He talked in his sleep alot, mostly about some girl named Kagome, and every time he uttered the name she felt like she was encrouching on some private moment. He said her name with such reverence that it made her feel oddly hallow.
Ayame watched as he slowly fell asleep. After awhile his forehead creased and sweat popped up in little beads. Her small fingers came out to smooth them out and get rid of them so that his features were no longer filled with pain. Whoever this Kagome woman was, she, as an...unbiased third party...did NOT like her one bit!
>>>>>
Kagome looked up as the door was opened. Things between Kagome and Inuyasha were staying pretty frosty since the the night she'd gotten hurt almost two weeks ago. He never came back to the room lately, only to change clothes every once in awhile.
Whoever it was who came in had some kind of hood over their head, keeping their identity hidden.
"hello? Who is it?" Kagome called out, coming up on her knees in the middle of the bed.
The figure turned around and blood red eyes met cerulean colored eyes. He said nothing, just advanced towards her, his face contorted in an evil smirk. Kagome rose off the bed, putting it between them as fast as she could, bracing herself for whatever came next.
From his robes, he produced rope and a hankercheif, coming closer and closer. Kagome narrowed her eyes, taking in every movement with an artists attention to detail. the smirk on his face became wider, more menacing with each step he took towards her. Something black seeped from his very being, coating the air in the room, suffocating her. It made her want to puke, the feeling that came upon her. She started feeling dizzy, she couldn't concentrate and her legs wouldn't support her. She crumpled to the floor, laying in a heap at the man's feet and he hadn't even touched her.
She was completely concious as he gagged and tied her up, but she had no feeling in any of her limbs and she felt as if she'd lost her connection to them. She was, however aware of a pain just below her ribs that was making itself known. He picked her up, carrying her from hallway to hallway, getting deeper and deeper in the bowels of the huge ship. They descended some stairs and took a series of weird turns. She came to the conclusion that he was trying to disorient her in case she'd been through the ship before and knew the way which wasn't the case since she'd never been out of the captain's room.
Finally, they stopped at a room at the end of a hall in god only knows what level of the ship. It was thrown open and she was set in a dirty corner of the small room. The bed was pushed away and a small door that it hid was pulled open. She was picked up again and put in the little hole, the door closing behind her.
After awhile, she began to get feeling back in her body and she became aware of a certain stench assaulting her nose. she began to feel around with her tied hand and she came upon something that was cold and hairy and felt oddly like skin. she explored further and came in contact with a clothed stomach. Her hands continued to roam upward until they came in contact with something sticky. It smelled metallic.
'oh, god!" she thought to herself, 'this was a dead body! What have i gotten myself into this time?'
>>>>>
Inuyasha hesitantly started back to his room. Ever since that night, he'd avoided seeing her. She just treated him like a stranger but...he was just that and that is what infuriated him. Now he was willing to set aside his pride for her and make amends.
he opened the door to his room, shutting and locking it behind him.
"Kagome,I...Kagome?" he said as he turned around, finishing questioningly. He looked under his desk, under his bed. she was nowhere to be found.
He unlocked the door, bursting out of it, searching for the guard he had by the door, but he couldn't find him.
"MIROKU!" he yelled as he raced down the halls, busting his door open. He was laying in bed, the Sango woman curled up at his side.
"WAKE THE FUCK UP!" Inyasha screamed. The pair sat bolt up right in bed, staring at him incredulously.
"Inuyasha what is it?" Miroku asked, getting off the bed and facing his long time friend.
"Kagome is missing," he said softly, trying to control himself.
"Maybe she escaped," Miroku suggested, "You were telling me how you got into it awhile back and that you'd been avoiding her. Maybe she just jumped ship."
"No," the woman next to him said worriedly, "she would've found me and tried to take me with her. She wouldn't have stopped unless she found me. I know her."
"I want you to help get every man aboard on their feet and only command the ones we trust to search every crevice of this ship. I want her found," Inuyasha said and Miroku didn't hesitate to do just that. Soon, there was a search party of ten scouring room after room, Inuyasha at their side doing the exact same thing, his brain running over the horrible things that could've happened to her.
<<<<<
Kagome had thrown herself as far away from the disgusting body that was starting to smell worse and worse as the hours passed. She now sat in complete silence trying to figure out what she could do. She had gotten free of the bonds on her hands and feet and taken out the gag, but when he came they wouldn't matter anyway. The thick poison he injected into the air was enough to incapacitate her completely. He came to check in very few times, but when he did, he didn't bring her anything to eat or drink. She had to think of something fast or she would die of dehydration.
She heard the door open and shut, heard the bed move and she was assaulted by light as the door was opened.
"you're a strong one," he said, "and smart too i see. You've gotten out of the bonds. there would be no point in putting new ones on. I'm surprised you've lasted three days without begging. You're probably very stubborn."
"Why?" she asked weakly.
"Why what?" he asked pleasantly, thinking that she couldn't answer even if she tried and relishing in the power he felt from it, "Why kidnap you?" He raised his eyebrow as if waiting for an answer.
"Well, there are two reasons that I've kidnapped you. You've been kidnapped because,1, You carry the shikon no tama with you and I'm trying to find it in the prophesy and, 2, I want to make Inuyasha miserable.
Kagome mouthed the same question, not able to force it out.
"Why try to put Inuyasha through misery? That is between him and me. Well, now we're done visiting," he said, closing the door. She heard the sound of the bed being pushed back and the door closing and then nothing but silence.
Now to get down to business.
>>>>>
Inuyasha had the whole ship searched and still no Kagome. Every day a part of the search team would routinely search the whole ship without any result. He was beginning to worry. It had been almost five days since she and her room guard had been last seen and Inuyasha was beginning to despair in ever finding her. He tried trailing her scent but it was already faded from the ship, except for where it lingered in his room, as strong as ever, haunting him.
Where could she be?
<<<<<
It had been countless hours since she'd started and she'd gotten nowhere. Her side was aching faintly for no apparent reason. Every time the door opened, it banged loudly on the bottom of the bed and it would only open a few inches before that happened. She was getting weaker and weaker by the minute. She opened the door one more time, peeking out. There was the leg of the bed. She stuck her hand out of the small opening the door made, but she could only squeeze to the middle of the forearm out before she experienced unbearable pain. She began searching around her filthy, smelly hole for anything that could help her.
>>>>>
Inuyasha decided to accompany the search party today as they searched every room again. Eight days had passed and he was afraid Kagome hadn't survived. Maybe she had run away and just had forgotten about her friend. They'd just searched the first two decks and they were on the one just above the brig. They started with the first room, not finding anything.
<<<<<
Kagome unhooked the belt from the body's pants and had her hand through the opening as far as she could, holding the belt. She was trying to throw the end of the belt forward so that it would go around the leg of the bed. Hopefully, that end would swing around so that she could grip both ends and the middle of the belt would be around the leg so she could pull it but her strength was failing her.
She pushed the door open further, getting a loud wooden thump. She feebly threw the belt, getting a clanking sound from the buckle. Everything sounded loud to her ears. The pain she'd noticed earlier in her side was becoming unbearable.
>>>>>
Inuyasha and his men were on the third door already when they heard a noise. There was a faint thud and then soon after a clang. Every few minutes, they would hear another weak clang. They slowly made their way to it, coming to a locked door at the end of the hall.
<<<<<
Kagome and managed to get the belt around the bed's leg, but she only pulled it a few mere inches before she lost the rest of her strength. She relaxed all the muscles in her arms and tried to rest, hoping that the man wouldn't come back and find her like this. The pain in her side was now excruciating.
>>>>>
They heard a scraping from behind the door like something was being moved, but it was short lived.
Inuyasha pushed against the door but it wouldn't budge. He signaled for one of the biggest boys in the group to do it. The door was open within minutes.
Everything was quiet. He had the boys start searching. They ignored the bed completely to check through boxes and chests, under desks.
"Nothing here," they said.
Inuyasha bent so that he could see under the bed. Something was wrapped around a bed leg and amazingly...a hand was protruding from the floor.
"HELP ME MOVE THE BED!" Inuyasha yelled hurriedly, pushing at it.
The bed was pull away and they found that the hand wasn't just a hand, it was an arm and the arm wasn't coming out of the floor, but out of a hidden door in the floor.
>>>>>
Kagome awoke to a scraping sound and the belt being ripped out of her hands. The door was opened and she was pulled out.
"Kagome?" a worried voice said frantically. She was being carried as if they were running and her heart was beating a mile a minute.
"So...thirsty," she wheezed, as water was all she could think about.
"Get me some water," a familiar voice ordered. After a few minutes, a cup was pressed to her lips. She drank greedily, her stomach protesting as she drank her fill then drank some more. Before she was through, she cup was taken away. She whimpered pathetically.
Her side was killing her, like something was trying to rip its way out. They started moving again and a door was kicked out of the way. She was set on something soft. She was allowed to go to sleep but it was impossible with the ripping and tearing of her side.
<<<<<
Inuyasha was shaking with anger, practically vibrating with it. He couldn't believe anyone would want to do something like this to her. It seemed like they'd injected some kind of toxin into her body, making it to where she was temporarily paralyzed. They'd deprived her of water and food and, when they found her, it had almost been too late. She had collapsed from exhaustion while trying to escape. She could've done it all by herself if she wasn't in such shitty condition.
He was barely able to keep her alive at the moment. Each hour she became worse. She couldn't take in too much water, which wasn't getting her enough. She was too weak to eat anything.
The door was open and in came Miroku and Sango. Sango smiled timidly and came to Kagome's side, trying to get her to drink more.
"She can't last much longer," Inuyasha said softly to Miroku so that Sango couldn't hear. "We have to get her to a doctor. I don't know what else we can do for her but I can't let her die."
"What do you suggest?" Miroku asked, sitting heavily next to his long time friend.
"The next possible stop we can make, we make it. I don't care if this will set us back a few days," Inuyasha said quietly.
"Well, we should be coming to an island in two days...Japan. We can stop there and I know a great doctor there," Miroku said. He went to Sango's side and touched her shoulder. She looked up at him, her eyes sad. "I'll be back soon, there's just something I have to do real quick, ok?"
The woman looked down at the floor and nodded, tears coming to her eyes.
"Hey," Miroku said, raising her face so she had to look at him, "she's going to be fine. Don't worry." With that, he planted a quick kiss on her lips, surprising both and the pair of golden eyes watching them. Miroku made a hasty retreat, slipping through the door and heading upstairs. He began giving orders for them to stop in Japan, blushing the whole time still being able to taste Sango on his lips.
>>>>>
Kagome had been sleeping almost peacefully when the pain started up in her side. There was something different about this pain, though. It was more violent. Whatever it was felt completely solid and it was pushing through the muscle, ripping and tearing spastically. Her finger came to touch it, to see what was going on and came in contact with something hard sticking just under skin. She gently ran her fingers over it and found that it was round like a ball. It kept ripping through her and she felt it moving in place. It came to the last layer, made up only of skin. Then, the real pain began.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!"
>>>>>
Inuyasha snapped awake at the sound of an agonized scream. He was up in seconds, crossing the room in two strides. Kagome was writhing in pain, holding her side.
Her shirt was completely pulled away, showing the round ball like lump that was shivering through her skin. He ripped her shirt completely off stared as something began to wriggle vigorously through her skin.
Kagome couldn't hear anything. All she could do was feel. She was immersed in the pain from her side as it wriggled and pulled at layer after layer.
She was finally sucked under the water, landing in the middle of a place that was completely dark. There was a small circle of light that barely encompassed her, making that darkness around her feel dense, almost tangible.
She stood and squinted into the black, trying to assure herself that there was nothing in that all encompassing black that would harm her. She saw no seething shadows, no moving silhouettes so she trudged right in. The heat of this blackness was astonishing and it automatically beaded her skin with sweat. The air was vibrating with some kind of unnatural power that seeped into her skin and made her bones hum, as if they'd been waiting for this their whole existence.
Kagome pressed on, not feeling threatened as the vibrations became more violent the further she went. Soon the halo of light was gone and she was stumbling through the dark, like a scared little kid searching for the light switch.
Her body was soaked now with the sweat as if she was in a sauna. It became uncomfortable and the humming in her bones made her shake and vibrate, as if she was part of the air itself. Kagome shivered and looked down at herself. Her body was glowing with a faint pink light that shimmered randomly against her ivory skin and Kagome couldn't stop watching.
A delighted laugh had her head snapping up. A similar pink light was shown off in the distance, shaped like a petite woman. Something inside Kagome found this familiar and she found herself running toward the light, but it felt like she was trudging through a pool of water. She pushed herself harder, fighting her way through. A low fog settled around and Kagome had to squint to see anything. As she got closer to the pink light, she recognized this as the source of the power that made her bones hum in joy and she finally came to stand in front of the glowing figure.
The woman was dressed all in white, so blinding it hurt her eyes. She couldn't see her face, but the joyous laugh came again and her head bowed as if she was looking straight at Kagome.
“My child,” the woman said in beautiful, melodic voice and Kagome's heart leapt in response.
“Who is it? I can't see a thing!” Kagome said
The fog around her slowly cleared and the woman was completely visible. Kagome's intake of breath made the woman smile kindly, her shining orbs soft and loving.
“Who are you?” Kagome asked, trying to hide the wonder from her voice but not succeeding.
“I am Priestess Midiroku, Kagome,” the woman said softly.
“What am I doing here?” Kagome asked.
“You have set the jewel free,” Midiroku said airily.
“The jewel?” Kagome asked, her face scrunched in confusion.
“The Shikon no Tama, Jewel of the Four Souls, has been housed in your body since you were conceived. It is a very precious, powerful gem and you must protect it with you're life,” as she continued, her eyes glazed over as if she was looking forward into the future, “Beware of your captor. He will inevitably come to love you, but the draw of the jewel may be too much for him. His love for you and his iron will may fail him and, if that happens, you will die. Be leery of him for her possesses great powers and, even for you, can be very dangerous.”
“But…” Kagome's throat clogged up with the pain that came rushing back as her name was called over and over.
Something wet and sticky was rushing down her side. She looked down to investigate and a small hole interrupted the smooth skin of her hip and blood rushed unerringly out. She hadn't noticed she was naked in her dream until she'd investigated. Now she realized she was butt ass naked… wow.
“You're being called back, so now you have to go. He is waiting for you. Remember what I have said!” Midiroku said as she was falling through the small hole that opened up from the black ground, swallowing her and enveloping her in light.

Kagome slowly opened her eyes to find swimming orbs hovering above her, worry etched into every line of a beautiful face. The pain in her side was completely gone, as well as the weakness that had plagued her from being dehydrated. She was now completely rejuvenated and a new source of power radiated from her very core outward, as if something had been unlocked.
Kagome reached inside herself for that power but found it made her dizzy and pulled herself away.
“You mustn't use that power yet, my little Miko. You will understand in time,” a voice from her mind whispered fondly and then evaporated, as if being blown away by the wind.
Kagome sat up quickly and found she was in better shape than before, she investigated her abdomen, which, just yesterday, had a healing gash. Now, it was a thin pink line that marked where it had been. She checked her side and found a round pink mark that looked like a shining pink sun etched on her skin where the pain had been.
Inuyasha watched Kagome in wonder. She was completely better. Her skin a pretty glow to it and her eyes seemed to hold a power he'd never seen. She was staring at her body in wonder, her eyes sparkling and happy.
His eyes were drawn like a magnet to something else and he looked away from Kagome to the object lying on the bed. He had a strong impulse to pick it up and run away with it and he had to use all his strength not to. He felt it calling to him in soft, persuasive whispers. He felt a power radiating from, the same power he sensed from Kagome, but in a more condensed form. It seemed to glow just for him.
Kagome looked at Inuyasha and panic set in as she found what he was staring at with such concentration.
A small purple ball sat on the blankets, glowing beautifully with an inner power. She felt protectiveness over it that was so gut wrenching she choked out a sob as she threw herself over it, pulling it to her chest and holding it close as if to shield it from him. She rolled off the bed and to her feet taking a protective stance against the wall.
Inuyasha was puzzled by the snarl that ripped through him as Kagome snatched the ball away and hid in to corner. He advanced menacingly on her as if he couldn't stop himself. As he got closer, Kagome's eyes blazing, the smoldering power he'd seen earlier being all consumed by the power that replaced, violent and beautiful, making her look like an avenging angel. Her skin began to glow a soft pink, the same light the jewel gave off. The power radiated off her in thick waves, repelling him, making him want to cringe.
Her beauty drew him more than the stone she held had and his gaze softened. He backed away and held his hands up to assure her that he wouldn't hurt her. She relaxed.
“I hafta leave,” Kagome said, her voice strong and powerful. With that, she ran past him out the door and he heard a splash as she plunged into the sea, leaving him behind
