Chapter 1: A “Gut” Feeling

 

Inuyasha looked furiously at Kagome. His breathing became harder as his fury began to grow stronger.

 

“Inuyasha! I'm sorry okay? I didn't mean to forget the ramen!” (A/N hehe)

 

Inuyasha huffed and crossed his arms, “Keh.. well you're just a stupid bitch, like you—“

 

“Osawari!”

 

 

<THUMP>

 

 

Miroku and Sango watched the scene unfolding before them with amusement. Miroku straightened up as he walked past a very familiar Inuyasha-sized crater.

 

“I think we should set up camp here tonight as we will have a long journey ahead of us tomorrow” Miroku said staring off into the glittering night sky.

 

Kagome said nothing as she grabbed her over-sized yellow bag and began rummaging through it.

 

Sango gave her a knowing look and went to move the sleeping Shippo onto a blanket.

`Wow, Shippo must really be tired if THAT didn't wake him up'

 

Inuyasha finally crawled out of the hole mumbling under his breath as he began searching for a comfortable spot in the tree above the group.

Inuyasha woke up on high alert. He sniffed the air and quickly jumped from the tree.

“OW!” yelled/snorted Miroku as Inuyasha stepped on him as he quickly made his way to the bushes, looking over them, growling.

 

“What is it Inuyasha?” asked a half-awake miko as she scratched her head lazily.

“I sense a demon” he snapped.

Kagome perked up at this. “A demon? I don't sense any evil auras..”

Inuyasha was beginning to look annoyed.

 

Miroku sat up, “I don't sense anything either Inuyasha”

 

Inuyasha huffed, ”I'm not stupid ya know,” smirks appeared on all of the faces that were awake, “I am sure I sensed a demon” he said, tohis surprise in a weak tone.

 

A figure appeared out of the bushes “Aye you did hanyou”
