Hey yall, i'm trying to work on this story a lot so i'm not havin much time for the slayer. But don't worry, I haven't forgotten it. I will work on it soon. Just not right now… ok since you all seem to not care about voting I'm going to decide. You'll see wat I decided soon enough…

Ch. 8

 

 

 

 

Kagome was speeding through the streets on her bike. The other cars looked like a blur as she passed them. She needed some relief from all this stress and there was only one person she knew of that might be able to help. She thought about him as she sped to his home. He had always been there for her. He was like her brother. Just he thought of her slightly different…. (I wonder who it is… )

 

As she turned off into a dark vacant dirt road she took a deep breath and sighed. Things weren't as bad as they could be sure, but she had a feeling they were going to get worse. She just had to get away and calm her nerves for a bit. Her friends wanted her to stay away from him, but he was her friend too. He was the type to get in trouble a lot. With drugs, vandalism, assault. You name it he pretty much did it.

 

As she pulled up to the silent two-story house, she examined it a little more closely than usual. It was kind of shabby looking, but what wasn't? It was faded white with blue window shutters. The porch was pretty big. Complete with swing and bench. It was pretty much the same all the way up. (ok ok so I'm not good with details. So sue me!!….wait, I was jk, don't sue, please??)

 

She took off her helmet letting her hair fall freely over her back. Then she got off her bike and walked up the stairs to the porch and headed to the door. She didn't even have to knock as the door immediately opened revealing Koga, the wolf demon. (who did ya think it was? Jakotsu? Lol)

 

“Kagome?” He questioned, wanting to know if it was really her even though his nose told him it was. “Its me” She smiled a bit. Kouga's eyes lit up as he pulled her into a hug. “it's been too long kag” She smiled and hugged him back, happy to be with her friend again.

 

“You haven't come by in awhile, I was beginning to think you were dead or something.” He chuckled. “nah, I'm gonna be around for awhile….I hope…” Kagome laughed. “Yeah, I would have come to see you but I know how much your friends hate me…” He looked away. “They don't hate you…they just want to rip your eyes out, grind them into butter, and force you to eat them on toast…but they don't hate you.” Kagome said trying to be comforting.

 

Koga raised his eyebrow. “you sure know how to make a man feel better” “I try” Kagome retorted. “well are you gonna come in or stay out here all day?” Koga asked stepping aside letting her in. Kagome smiled and walked inside immediately noticing the fire in the fireplace and a furry blanket laid out on the floor with soft music playing in the background.

 

“expecting someone?” Kagome asked looking at the romantic setting. She heard the door close. “only you” Koga whispered in her ear as he wrapped his arms around her waist from behind. Kagome rolled her eyes and pulled out of his hold. “koga, how many times do I have to tell you I'm not interested? I think of you as a brother, nothing more, nothing less…ok?” She reasoned.

 

Koga sighed and hit a button and the music stopped and the fire went out and the regular lights came on. “you can't blame me for tryin” He said weakly. Kagome shook her head and smiled as she went and sat on the leather sofa. It was so comfortable.

 

“so what are you here for?” Koga asked as he sat in the chair across from her. “so I have to have a reason for coming over now do I?” She raised her eyebrow. “no, but you usually do.” He shrugged. “alright, you caught me. I have a little problem…..” She paused for a few moments readying herself for koga's reaction. “Naraku's back”

 

Koga sat there for a minute completely calm, but she could see the anger welling in his eyes. He was gonna blow. She gulped waiting for the storm. “ HE'S WHAT!?” koga yelled. “THAT FUCKIN BASTARD! WHAT DID HE DO! I SWEAR IF HE SO MUCH AS GLANCED AT YOU IM GONNA RIP HIS HEAD OFF, AND TEAR THE BRAINS OUT AND FEED THEM TO MY WOLVES AND THEN IM GONNA TEAR OUT HIS INARDS AND EAT THEM RAW! ILL MURDER THE ASS! WHAT DID HE DO!? WHEN? WHERE? WHY ARE YOU JUST NOW TELLING ME!? DAMNIT KAGOME ANSWER ME!” He yelled before calming down a bit. During his outburst he had thrown the coffee table against the wall, shattering it to pieces. He was scary when he got like this, but Kagome knew he would never hurt her.

 

After he calmed down a bit he tried again. “Kagome, what happened?” Kagome took a deep breath and explained everything and showed him her bruise that was almost gone due to her demon healing. Koga was pissed to say the least, but he managed not to go into another rage to Kagome's relief.

 

Koga was sitting in the chair with a look of deep concentration on his face. “I'm not sure of anything we can do at the moment. All we know is that he wants you and the jewel, and there's no fuckin way he's havin you…or the jewel.” He added as an afterthought.

 

“yea, I know, but I figured you should know, you have some friends that might could help right? I mean, u do have all the connections around here…” Kagome asked hopefully. Koga nodded. “I have connections, yea, but I'm not sure if any of them could really help us…hmm. I might could find someone to train you. I know you already are a great fighter, but your gonna need all the skill you can get dealing with him. I might also could get you some new weapons. Better arrows, daggers, ect. I know you won't part with Heruken for anything, and there's no reason for you to, that blade has served you well. I might can find someone who has a spy with Naraku…Big maybe but worth a shot. You should really work on your Miko powers too, He'll probably be ready for physical attacks, but not so much spiritual.” Koga listed off some things.

 

Kagome nodded. “all of that sounds great. Thanks Koga.” He smiled. “anytime Kag, I'll get to work on this right away. I'll call you with the info. Now its 2 in the morning and you have school tomorrow, so shoo.” He chuckled and he led her outside. “Alright alright, I'm gone. Thanks again Koga.” She said as she kissed him on the cheek.

 

He watched her as she walked to her bike and put her hair up in her helmet. Then she got on and did a wheelie as she spun out saluting him leaving down the road in a cloud of dust. He smiled and shook his head as he walked inside. He would never understand that girl. She could be cold as ice one minute, and the next as loving as a bunny. He rubbed his still warm cheek that she had kissed and shook his head wondering where that analogy had come from. He yawned. He was in for a long night.

 

Koga sat at his computer and got to work on the stuff that Kagome needed.

Sango and Rin sat at the kitchen table. Well, Rin sat as Sango paced. “How could she be so damn careless AGAIN! She knows how we feel about Koga. I mean sure he's a sweet guy and stuff, but he used to work for that Bastard and she knows that! Yet she still trusts him! I mean, he could be feeding Naraku every little thing she does!” Sango fumed.

 

Rin sighed. Sango was right, but Kagome trusted Koga, and she respected her friend enough to trust her on that. Sango was the same, but she was just worried. “Sango, sit down, your rubbing a hole in the floor.”

 

Sango took a deep breath as she sat down and slowly released it. “She may not have even gone there, for all we know she could be meeting with Inuyasha.” Sango was at the phone in a flash, Dialing the number Sesshomaru had given Rin after they had finished making out.

 

It rang a few times before the voice of an overly grumpy Hanyou answered. “ Whoever the hell this is, it had better be fuckin important, its 2 in the damn morning!” He growled at whoever had called and dared disturb his dream of the beautiful Kagome and him in the detention room alone. On the desk. Enough said there…

 

“ Inuyasha, Is Kagome there?” Sango asked. “No, why would she be?” He asked suddenly waking up fully at the sound of her name. “Damn” Sango mumbled to herself. “She came home after the club and then went out again, and we think we know where, but we just wanted to see if she was there first.”

 

“Does she have a cell?” Inuyasha asked. “yea, but its been turned off.” Sango replied hitting the speakerphone button so Rin could hear too. “You said you think you know where she is? Where?” Rin slapped her head. Sango just HAD to mention that didn't she?

 

“umm…at a friends house” Sango answered truthfully. Rin shook her head thinking `idiot' “Why don't you call her there?” “his phone is disconnected.” Rin banged her head on the table. Sango was just digging a deeper grave.

 

“ HIS phone is disconnected! Just who is HE sango!” Inuyasha questioned furiously as his eyes flashed red. Sango could practically feel his anger coming out of the phone. “he, is Kagome's friend, Koga.” She answered. “where does he live?” Inuyasha asked already pulling some jeans and a shirt and jacket on.

 

Sango sighed and gave him directions as Rin continuously banged her head on the table. “Alright, I'll go get her.” He hung up and raced out of the house.

 

Sango blinked and hung up. “umm, Kag's gonna kill me isn't she?” Rin nodded, “yup, enjoy the last few hours you have left.” Sango paled.

Kagome was speeding down the streets thinking over the stuff koga said he was going to do for her. `I'm glad he's around, this is going to help a lot' She thought as she sped through the traffic. It was amazing how much traffic there was at 2 in the morning. She was at an intersection as her bike started slowing down. Kagome frowned. `what the hell…' She thought as she pulled off the road in time to avoid a car full of laughing drunks.

 

She got off her bike and bent down examining it, trying to find the problem. There was nothing wrong with it. she tried to start it again but it wouldn't make a sound. As she bent down to examine it again she sensed something behind her and as she turned she was hit in the head with a metal rod, knocking her unconscious for a few minutes.

 

She awoke in an ally with the devil himself standing over her. She felt kind of funny. She felt weak, her sense of smell was gone, she could barely make out anything but narakus glowing red eyes in the dark. This was how she felt on her human night. She looked at the sky and saw it was a half moon. Not her night. So what was going on?

 

She growled at him. Or tried to anyway. It came out sounding like she had a frog in her throat. Her eyes widened as realization dawned on her. No, it couldn't be. She reached up to the top of her head, and sure enough her ears were gone, she reached lower and was able to trace 2 human ears on the side of her head.

 

Naraku chuckled. “Do you like the little improvement I made?” “You bastard! What have you done to me! ” He answered with a sinister smirk, “I have simply ensured my success in obtaining you and the jewel. You can't fight me without your demon abilities. So I took them away.”

 

“No” She whispered barely audible. “oh yes Kagome, Now the affects of the transformation should be catching on shortly, so you will be very weak, I always had a soft spot for you, so I'm going to wait for you to be fully well until we mate, I want this to be pleasurable for you my dear.” She spit on him. “ASSHOLE!” She yelled as she started to feel her strength leave her. He was right, the affects were taking their tole on her. Not to mention she had this pounding headache…

 

The last thing she heard as she blacked out was his cold laughter, echoing in the ally, and forever imprinted on her mind.

Inuyasha was running to Kagome's “friend” Koga's house and as he got there he could smell Kagome's scent there. It wasn't fresh, but she had been there recently. He went and banged on the door rapidly until a tired and aggravated wolf demon answered the door. “Where's Kagome!” Inuyasha asked before Koga could say anything.

 

“Kagome? She's gone, she left about an hour ago. Why? Who are you?” Koga asked before sniffing the air. `so he's a half demon huh? ` Inuyasha responded in a growl “I'm Inuyasha, and Kagome took off without telling anyone where she was going and her friends thought she would be here. Now you answer me, Why was she here? And where did she go?” He asked getting impatient. His demon blood was demanding that he find his mate.

 

“She came to talk to me, not that it's any of your business, and I sent her home.” Koga responded getting irritated. Inuyasha growled and sniffed, he could smell Kagome's lingering scent in the house and it infuriated him. He turned and started running in the direction her scent led him ignoring Koga's shouts behind him.

 

When he found her he was going to give her a piece of his mind! How could she run off like that without telling anyone where she was going! He ran along the streets with incredible speed, following the scent of his mate. He followed it to her bike. He found it parked on the side of the road. Strange, he thought, why would she park her bike here of all places… Then he saw something, On the other side of the bike her helmet was laying there, beside something dark on the ground. He sniffed and froze then growled, It was blood. Kagome's blood.

 

 

He also smelled a different scent mixing with her scent. He didn't like it. The scents led him to an ally and then suddenly Kagome's scent changed. It was the same, yet different…He couldn't quite place what it was.

 

He walked into he alley being cautious. He could smell Kagome there, and the other scent appeared to be about an hour old. As he approached, He saw a figure on the ground and determined it to be Kagome.

 

He rushed to her. Dropping to his knees beside her he carefully picked up her small body and placed it in his lap. He took in what damage was done to her. She had a minor head injury that appeared to be mostly healed from her demon blood. But something was way off.

 

He examined her a little closely and saw her ears were gone and replaced by human ones. Was this her human night? It must be. It figures she would run off like this on her human night of all nights…wait. No, it can't be her night. It was nighttime when they were at the club and she was still a hanyou. So then, what was going on?

 

He shook his head, there was time for that later, She needed to get inside and lay down in a warm bed. She was shivering he realized. He shook off his jacket and wrapped it around her and he picked her up holding her closely to him. Inuyasha was pissed. Whoever dared to do this was going to die. He walked to her bike and sat on it with Kagome in front of him so she wouldn't fall off and tried to start it after he put her helmet in the back compartment.

 

He tried to start the bike but it was lifeless. He growled his annoyance and kicked it and it started. He was going to have to look at it later, but now was not the time. He sped off pulling out his cell and calling Sango and Rin's house to get their address. He made it there in record time and rushed inside, ignoring Rin and Sango and went to the room Kagome's scent was strongest in.

 

He laid her gently on the bed and went in her bathroom and got some stuff for her head wound and treated it. `Its not as bad as I first thought than God.' He found her a long t-shirt and changed her trying hard not to stare at her gorgeous body. When she was dressed and in bed, he went to go sleep against the wall on the floor but she had latched onto his arm.

 

Inuyasha smiled and tried to pull away but she wouldn't budge. `She's strong even without her demon strength' He thought chuckling. He finally relented and laid next to her, pulling her small body against his in a protective and possessive embrace and fell asleep, not noticing the 2 figures watching from the doorway.

 

`He's the one' Sango and Rin thought at the same time and smiled at eachother as they silently left and closed the door.

 

 

 

 

 

YAY! Chapter 8 complete! I so could have left yall with a cliffy, but I was in a generous mood today . Since I didn't receive any votes I decided to go on and make Kagome a human. But don't worry; I have a great idea to get her demon powers back…well kind of anyway. I have the idea; I just need to figure out a situation…if that makes any sense. Lol so how did yall like the chapter?? I'd really like to know, but my thing is messing up. When people leave me reviews it wont let me see them for some reason. It sux 2 cuz I love hearing from u guys!! Well i'm gonna go, l8a!
