“So this is the place.” Said Inuyasha as they were greeted by a bunch of demon,

“What do you think, there's like fifty of them!” yelled Sango,

“Don't need to be so mean about it.” Said Inuyasha and then drawing Tetsusaiga, “Which one of you wants to die first?”

“Maybe you would like to volunteer?” asked the panther demon leader as he stepped out in front of his tribe,

“Where's Kagome?!” yelled Sango,

“Kagome? Oh, the miko,” said the demon smirking, “She's waiting for me to return, that she is.”

“Too bad your not gonna return.” Said Inuyasha as he leapt forward with Tetsusaiga raised, “Wind scar!”

 

Sesshoumaru slid silently through the door; he had noticed his pathetic half brother fighting off the demon, so all he had to do was find Misa and leave. Unless she said otherwise. He walked into the room; he could smell blood and lots off it, to his right he could make out a small figure leaning against the wall, tears surrounding her.

“Sesshoumaru?” she asked with fear in her voice,

“Where is Misa, human?” he asked quickly,

“That's the thing,” said Kagome as more tears rolled down her cheeks, “She's gone.”

“Where did she go!?” Sesshoumaru raised his voice, he hoped she had gone somewhere other than that place.

Kagome rested her head in her knees as she started crying harder then before; Sesshoumaru turned towards the scent of the blood and walked to the futon.

“I can't be.” He said quietly as he sat down beside the body. He picked Misa's lifeless body up and placed her head on his lap. She was covered in a blanket which had been soaked in the blood from her deep wounds from the demon's sword. Sesshoumaru raised his sword and quickly cut through the invisible invaders; he pulled Misa close to his chest.

Misa opened her eyes slowly as though she had awoken from a dream; she blinked as she looked around the dark room remembering what had happened,

“No! You won't hurt me!” she yelled as she slapped the figure holding her.

“This is the thanks I get for saving you!?” yelled Sesshoumaru, “Then I'll make sure the next time you get kidnapped, I won't bother!”

“What?” said Misa. She blinked to focus on the figure; her eyes adjusting to the darkness, “Lord Sesshoumaru? You saved me!”

She grabbed him tightly, not letting go; she felt that if she did, she would be taken away again or he would slip away into the darkness.

“Misa?” asked Kagome, hoping that she wasn't just dreaming,

“Yes Kagome it's me,” said Misa. She hugged Sesshoumaru a final time then stood up and walked over to Kagome and slicing through the ropes with her claws.

“Wow you're really alive!” exclaimed Kagome hugging her.

“Let's go,” said Sesshoumaru anxious to kill Misa's murders,

“Right.” Said Misa grabbing Kagome's wrist and dragging her behind Sesshoumaru. The bright light took them by surprise but then adjusted really quickly to see an awful sight before their eyes. The small camp that the panther demon had set up was covered in blood, Inuyasha, Sango, Miroku, Kirara and Shippo standing in the middle of it all.

“Kagome!” exclaimed Sango and Shippo,

“You guys came for me!” exclaimed Kagome, quickly running over to them,

“Feh.” Said Inuyasha as he turned away, “Of course we did, how the hell are we supposed to find the rest of the Shikon shards.”

“Are you calling me a jewel detector again!?” yelled Kagome,

“What'd it look like I said?” said Inuyasha and then focusing his attention on the other demon, “What are you doing here?”

He knew the reason why Sesshoumaru was here, he just wanted his brother to admit it. He would never let him forget this moment.

“Why I came here is none of your concern.” Said Sesshoumaru as he turned around and grabbed Misa's arm as he walked away.

“Actually it is my business.” Smirked Inuyasha; he wasn't gonna let his brother get away that easily.

“What are you saying?” questioned Sesshoumaru as he stopped,

“I mean she is going to be my sister in law, isn't she?” said Inuyasha smiling, “Or am I wrong?”

“How did you-” started Sesshoumaru shocked,

“So what is the problem Inuyasha?” said Misa, “Don't you want to be my brother in law? Am I really that bad?”

“Is it me or did you get a bit bigger then last time?” asked Inuyasha scratching his chin,

“Well I don't see you getting Kagome pregnant!?” yelled Misa as she covered the small bulge in her stomach,

“What?!” yelled Kagome and Inuyasha together, Sango and Miroku chuckling.

“Let's just go already.” Said Misa, Sesshoumaru nodding.

“Hey I'm not done with you yet!” yelled Inuyasha as the two continued their walk.

“Just let it go Inuyasha.” Said Kagome,

“Feh.”

 

“Lady Misa!” exclaimed Rin as Sesshoumaru and Misa entered the castle,

“Rin!” said Misa hugging the young girl, “How have you been? A good girl I hope.”

“Definitely.” Exclaimed Rin. Sesshoumaru left the two girls to talk as he walked through to the big dining area then into the main room and sat down beside the fire.

“Are you alright my lord?” asked Misa kneeling down beside him,

“What makes you ask that?” He said as he leaned back against the wall with his eyes closed,

“Just asking,” said Misa leaning back also, “I really appreciate what you did for me today.”

“It was nothing.”

“Nothing! Tell me then, if it was nothing, what would you have done if you left me there?” asked Misa as she sat back up to stare at him,

“I couldn't do that,” said Sesshoumaru smiling as he took her in his arms. Misa smiled back at him; he hardly did smile, but when he did, it made her feel like nothing in her world would go wrong, nothing.

 

Weeks passed quickly as Misa would stay at the castle waiting for Sesshoumaru to return every night, each day her stomach grew more and more, soon she was unable to see her own toes.

Sesshoumaru rubbed his hand along her stomach, with his eyes closed as they lay awake in his bed. He gave a quiet gasp as he felt something kick at his hand,

“Your so lucky you got to feel that before I did.” Giggled Misa as she looked at Sesshoumaru's surprised face, “It's alright.”

Sesshoumaru cautiously placed his head on her stomach as she gestured and felt the second kick against his cheek,

“There are two of them.” He said noticing the difference in the two kicks,

“Really?” asked Misa tears in her eyes as she smiled and hugged her mate,

“I want the best for you and our pups,” whispered Sesshoumaru as he hugged her back then kissed her on the cheek, “Good night.”

 

“There!” exclaimed Kagome as she placed the shard with the rest around her neck. They had found one hidden in the centre of a huge waterfall and had retrieved it easily, “Inuyasha, I really think this is the last of them.”

“What do you mean, It's not even complete?” asked Inuyasha peering over her shoulder,

“But you must remember that fact that Naraku also has some shards of his own and there's the ones in Kouga's legs and Kohaku's back-” replied Kagome,

“Ok I get the picture,” said Inuyasha, “But even if we found out where Naraku was hiding, we wouldn't be able to get to him with his barrier.”

“We'll need a way to get in.” Said Miroku,

“I have an idea!” exclaimed Shippo,

“Or a way to destroy it.” Said Sango,

“I have an idea!”

“How are we supposed to do that?” asked Kagome,

“I said I have an idea!?” yelled Shippo who had been completely ignored,

“Whatever.” Said Inuyasha, “Maybe we should lure him out.”

“Lure him out? That is the worst plan I've ever heard of.” Commented Sango,

“Listen to me you guys!!!” yelled Shippo, “I know a way for us to get in there!”

“Really?” asked Kagome, “How?”

 

 

“Here you go Lady Misa.” Said Rin as she held out a wet cloth, Misa stood leaning against the wall as she puked into the bucket.

“Thank you Rin,” she said as she wiped her face, “If I had one wish, it would be to get rid of morning sickness.”

“It's a good thing you found your period,” exclaimed Rin, “So now, will Rin have a little sister or brother?”

Misa smiled at the young girl and kneeled down beside her,

“Sesshoumaru may not show it,” she said gently, “but I think he treats you as much as he would treat his own daughter. So of course you'll have a little sister or brother. Maybe even both.”

“Yay!” exclaimed Rin hugging her.

Misa sniffed the air; she could smell her loveable brother in law and her cousin,

“Rin, where is our lord Sesshoumaru?” she asked as she stood up,

“I last saw him heading towards the main entrance.” Replied Rin.

 

“Tell me exactly why you're here?” Sesshoumaru asked,

“We just wanted a word with Misa!” yelled Inuyasha, “But it's none of your business anyway!”

“Actually, like you said before,” said Sesshoumaru, “Since she's your sister in law and my mate; it has everything to do with me.”

“Stop being a smart ass and get her here right now!” yelled Inuyasha,

“What's going on here?” asked Misa, appearing out of a pink smoke that had appeared beside Sesshoumaru,

“Finally,” said Inuyasha,

“Whoa.” Exclaimed Kagome as she stared at Misa's pregnant body, “I didn't know if it was true but congratulations Misa!”

“Thanks Kagome,” said Misa, “I'm having twins!”

“Twins!” cried Inuyasha, “I don't want to think about having two mini Sesshoumaru's! That would mean the end of the world!”

“Take that back!” yelled Misa, “Our pups will be good pups. Now what brings you to my lord's castle, my dear brother?”

“Since we're brothers and sisters in law now, I think it would be nice for you to do me a favour,” said Inuyasha,

“Only if you do me a favour in return.” Smiled Misa,

“What?!” said Inuyasha, he hadn't expected her to say that.

“I want all of you to play a game with me,” she continued,

“Sorry but I don't do games.” Said Inuyasha,

“It's not one of your ordinary games; it's a game from the future.” Misa said, “It's called Truth or dare.”

“Oh no.” gasped Kagome thinking of all the cruel things Misa could do to her,

“So what do we do?” asked Shippo, just about ready to play any game,

“I'll tell you.” Said Misa smirking.
