The Hidden Demon

 

 

 

 

(In this story there is no Kagome no Jakken no Rin and no little Shippo only grown Shippo, Mirouku, Sesshomaru, Inuyasha, Sango, and The Hidden Demon).

 

Deep in the forest lay a dark cave in which a shadow has roamed for years maybe even centuries? Villagers fear this place, for many Youkai live in the trees and bushes and will kill any that come near the cave. This dark cave was used many years ago as a home by a great human king but when he died his wife disappeared with their child and 4 years later the shadow came making the cold moss filled place it's home forever more…

 

~~~ Chapter one: 2 demons 1 monk and one touch too many ~~~

 

They ventured through the village aware of the villagers gasps at the two demons walking past but uncaring to the people. One demon was only half demon and half human but still very strong and very sensitive ears and nose. He wore a red kimono, long white hair and ruffly bangs, velvet white dog-ears, fangs, sharp claws, and a human face orbed with two golden eyes. Another demon wore a blue kimono, fox feet, a fluffy tail, little fangs, and brown hair tied up in a bun with a big blue bow. The last person was the only human out of the three a monk to be exact. He wore his short black hair in a small pigtail, purple eyes, and a long robe wrapped around his body this monk also held a staff in his hands at all times. (Mirouku does not have his air void in this cause there is no Naraku and no Shikon no Tama).

“Inuyasha how about we stop here” the monk asked the white haired boy.

“Fine” the sun sank down beneath the sea of land and the sky grew dark with white colored pearls shimmering by the moon. The group built a small fire and sat quietly until finally sleep took them over.

 

In the morning as the sun rose high and the village men worked the group had put out their fire and were set to leave the monk disappeared.

“Miroku jeez where'd that dumb monk go now?”

“Um… Inuyasha” Shippo pointed to a group of giggling girls and they saw Miroku's head pop up behind them. Suddenly a smile crept on his face and one girl after another screamed then turned and slapped him. He came to another girl and grabbed her hands.

“Will you bear me child” she slapped him and walked off with another guy. The monk came back over to his friends and a slight red swept his face from being hit so many times.

“Stupid monk” the three set to the forest and a little infant ran up to them.

“You shouldn't go in there”

“Why not?” Inuyasha growled

“The monsters wait in there they guard it”

“Guard what”

“The shadow Demon”

“So I can kill that thing with one slash of my claws”

“Not even the strongest demon in the world can kill the shadow demon cause it's the strongest”

“Look kid we don't have time for your dumb childish stories so go run and play” Inuyasha swept his hand at the child.

“The demons protect the shadow demon you'll never get through”

“If the shadow demon were so strong they wouldn't have to protect it and besides I'm demon too”

“Your only half demon Inuyasha” the fox boy received dirt for his mouth. The child ran off and the three walked into the forest. The forest was dark but as they walked more in the sun peered through the eerily cold trees. Many movements were heard but no demons jumped to fight the three suddenly a large snake Youkai slithered around the three.

“Finally sssome food” it wrapped closer and tighter but the three did not scare easily for they had fought bigger and creepier demon.

“Heh you shouldn't play with your food” Inuyasha cracked his knuckles and as quick as he could move the snake creature was in tiny pieces scattered on the ground. The boy's ventured further and encountered many more demons the further they went the stronger the Youkai were but they still defeated them with ease. Finally they came to an opening in the forest. The sun brightly shone upon the ground filled with flowers and the grass was so green it was almost magical but all that soon ended as many Youkai circled the small group. The grass turned to black dirt the tree's became dark and dead the sun was covered by clouds which in this case revealed the real opening. They looked around and saw a cave with a shadow standing in the opening…

 

~~~ Chapter two: The Shadow demon and the story with it ~~~

 

Inuyasha slashed at the surrounding Youkai but his attacks did not effect them, he tried again but more kept coming in and none would die. Miroku looked around for anything he could use besides his staff, Shippo started to fight the monsters but his attacks did nothing as well.

“What the fuck why aren't they dying?”

“What's that thing around their necks?” Miroku noticed a thick band around all of the demons neck and aimed a sharp stick at one. He hit it and the demon sat there for a while then turned to stone, then dust and blew away.

“Hit the things on their necks!” they all started destroying the Youkai as quickly as they could move but even after the monsters were destroyed, Inuyasha, Shippo, and Miroku were all hit in their backs by some tiny arrow and fell unconscious quickly…

 

Miroku opened his eyes after only mere minutes he sat up and looked around. The ground was warm from the hole above from which the sun shone down on only him and his friends. Moss covered the walls and water trickled down one corner and into a small river towards the darkness.

“I see you were not effected as much by my poison do you have some magic around you”

“No I am not a demon if that's what the poison was for”

“Ah yes of course not you look human enough but why are you with demons and why are you trespassing in my woods.” He looked around but the voice was everywhere even on the walls like a shadow, this shadow was definitely a man's voice no doubt about it but where was he. Inuyasha moved and opened his eyes and faster than thought possible he stood up and looked around angrily pulling the arrow from his back.

“How could you have woken so easily?” the man sounded shocked.

“I'm only half demon you moron” he smirked and ran towards the darkness even though he was unsure if it was where this person was. As soon as he walked towards one way he was shocked by some odd charm, he tried many different angles but the same thing happened. Miroku stood and walked past into the darkness but felt something push him back quickly.

“Why have you come into these woods”

“We were searching for some fun”

“Well all you will find here is death” a clicking was heard and grew louder as a large wolf demon came forth. It growled and showed its teeth to the two. (Oh ya since Shippo is full demon he's still asleep but not for too long since he's older and can handle it better now). This wolf had black fur, short pointy ears, and black eyes. The demon whipped its tail sweeping Inuyasha and Miroku off the ground and into the air but they did not fall back as the creature held them high with it's fur. Inuyasha cut it's tail off causing them to fall but only Miroku fell on his back. Inuyasha cracked his knuckles and went in for a slice but this demon would not be an easy opponent. As when Inuyasha ran to hit it he ran right through it.

“Do not be so foolish half demon” as the voice was sounded it did not come from the wolf but still echoed from all over the cave.

“This demon can not be hurt only hurt”

“What”

“This thing can only hurt us but we can't hurt it” Miroku explained what the voice meant to the confused hanyou. The wolf demon clawed at Inuyasha but Inuyasha only received a small cut on his cheek as he dodged the animal. Inuyasha was helpless as he could not touch the wolf, Miroku kept trying to get past the wind that blew him but the wolf would not let him past either. Shippo opened his eyes to see Inuyasha bleeding in some spots and Miroku on the ground.

“Hey what's going on”

“Shippo watch out” Miroku pushed Shippo past the barrier and received a crack as he hit the wall.

“You got out of the barrier but you are a full demon. Or was it because a human monk pushed you out”

“Who's there?” Shippo looked around blindly searching for the voice that was coming from everywhere. A shadow came towards him.

“You will not live long enough so there is no use in knowing my name” the man's voice was deep and dark but not very evil.

“Ha you don't sound so big why don't you show yourself instead of have other demons fight for you”

“I have no time to waste on weaklings like you”

“Than if you're so strong kill us yourself now instead of stand there”

“It is amusing how you think you are strong but I guess I will give you a try little one” the shadow came closer but none of his features were visible yet. Shippo strained his eyes trying to see this person as they came closer but could only make out that they were sort of large.

“You try to see me but your eyes will never see the truth” the man laughed and Shippo felt some sort of rope encircle him and squeeze so tight his body would explode.

“To not even be able to get out of that proves you're weak”

“Shippo!” Miroku held his staff to the ground and pulled himself through the wind. He grabbed out to hold on to anything but instead of rock he grabbed hair.

“OW!” the voice became younger and more pitched into maybe even a kid's voice. The wolf began to flicker like a projection and Inuyasha spotted the drama behind him but could not stop fighting yet. The wind stopped and Miroku pulled more on the hair suddenly the wolf demon was not gone but a tiny wolf cub.

“So this is the real big bad wolf” Inuyasha picked the puppy up and it licked his face.

“Err! STOP!” the shadow man hit Miroku with his own staff and threw out two more ropes that squeezed the three but Inuyasha and Shippo easily and finally broke free and helped Miroku free as well.

“What how could you!” the shadow was shocked at the strength of these demons. Unknowing to anything he could do the shadow man ran out of the cave enwrapping his identity in a hooded robe.

“Oh no you don't!” Inuyasha ran after the person through the wide clearing and stopped them before they could hide in the shadows of the forest.

“You can't hide any longer” Shippo and Miroku caught up to the two. The man hid beneath his brown robe and the cub by his feet.

“Show yourself or I'll do it for you” the shadow growled and put his covered hands to the hood.

“Fine you have defeated me” the voice grew different with each word. Slowly and carefully they all watched in slow motion as the person withdrew their hood to reveal…

“A WOMAN!” all three were shocked more than anything to find the man's voice was a woman this whole time. She had pointy ears, dark blue eyes, light purple lines on her cheeks and ice blue hair. She wore her hair with two long strands hanging down over her bangs and the rest of her hair was inside of the robe.

“You're the shadow demon?”

“I'm no shadow they just call me that cause I hide in the shadows” he voice was now a females voice

“But you sounded”

“Like a man yes I know I'm not dumb I mean look at me even though I am a demon I am alone out here and need to live safely”

“So you try and kill us!”

“YOU WERE TRESPASSING ON MY LAND AND YOU STILL ARE. FOR THAT I CANNOT FORGIVE YOU!” she pulled out a rope and whipped it around all three, as soon as it touched them it turned in a glowing snake that coiled tighter and tighter around them.

“Is that all you can do just wrap us in string” Inuyasha ripped the snake apart leaving it on the ground as regular rope. He ran towards her but fell right through her.

“What!?” they all looked at her amazed.

“No not only can I turn rope into deadly snakes but I can also go through any demon that tries to harm me.”

Inuyasha growled and jumped up trying to slice at her again but fell right through her again, but this time he left a small cut on her chin which quickly faded. (It was so small it would have disappeared on a real human).

“Look only a full human can hurt me and only a strong full demon can kill me so you all should just give up”

“I don't give up easily” Inuyasha cracked his knuckles and went in for another hit ejecting his claws longer. After he fell past her she grabbed her arm and blood soaked through.

“So what all you can do is cut me and since I am not a half demon like you I'll heal faster so your just gonna tire yourself trying”. She stood there letting the blood drip to the ground but Shippo noticed more blood fell from her stomach and it wasn't a little like her arm it was more than any demon had ever bled.

“Ha it seems I did more than you thought”

“Sorry to disappoint you but I got that from someone else” she smiled weakly then fell to the ground with the cub crying it's head off and licking her face… She woke up in the night and saw the trees standing dark the dirt so warm and the wait warm dirt? She looked down and noticed her robe under her but wait, she looked at her body and saw her thing dress ripped at the stomach and bandages around her waist.

“Your up how ya feeling”

“What? Why did you help me?” she looked at the monk everyone called Miroku.

“Well it's mean leaving a girl to die”

“But… thank you” her eyes not as distant and she smiled kindly at the man as he sat next to her.

“So what kind of demon are you”

“Heh you've seen where I live and my pet but you don't even know what demon I am”

“A wolf I suppose”

“Pretty much”

“Pretty much?”

“My father was well… human my mother was a wolf”

“So your only half demon as well”

“Yes but before I was born my mother mated with another wolf demon whose jealousy killed my father.”

“So you are not sure if you are full or only half demon”

“Correct”

“So what's your name”

“My name is Iketa” Miroku nodded at the name.

“So what's the story on that cave”

“Well my mother and the first man she mated lived their and my mother said that it was a kinder and brighter cave but when she met another wolf she could not help but fall in love with him. The wolf demon killed my father and most said it was illness and that my mother abandoned him, in a way it is true she did abandon him for the demon she lies dead with now but he was never sick.”

“Your mother died”

“Murdered”

“By whom”

“Me” she looked down at the black ground.

“I came back here after killing both her and him but as I came this forest turned to hell and now I have been here alone since”

“Eh!” Miroku was a little frightened she killed her own parents.

“It was an accident I was sleep walking and they seemed to me in my dream. I wanted to kill them but I didn't want to harm my mother I thought I was dreaming but I was actually killing them in both sleep and wake” a tear fell down her cheek.

 

~~~ Chapter three: a new friend old foe and new love ~~~

 

The now small group of four walked through the woods finding many fruits to eat with the help of Iketa.

“Why did she come with us again” Inuyasha walked with his arms crossed and eyes closed.

“I came because you three need my help out of here”

“I can find myself out of here I am a demon”

“Half and besides no one has ever found there way out of my woods not even demons”

“Oh really” he opened one eye

“I masked the scent from demons and sound from humans stupid or else there would be no demons really here and many humans would still be alive”

“Heh!”

“Jackass you need my help and you know it watch out for…”

Slam Inuyasha ran into a tree while he was listening to her with his eyes closed.

“Err!” he rubbed his nose while they all laughed at him.

“InuYasha” a slow and strong voice came

“Sesshomaru” Inuyasha growled as Sesshomaru jumped in front of them from a tree. Iketa looked at the markings on his face and his ears she knew he was a full demon and he was cute for that matter as well.

“What do you want Sesshomaru”

“I heard there was a strong Youkai to match myself with called the Shadow Demon”

“Well there She is and she ain't strong”

“Hey I'm stronger than you moron!” Sesshomaru was in front of her in seconds with his demon speed.

“So you are the Shadow Demon”

“…”

“Sesshomaru I've heard of you the so called strongest demon HA!”

“You are brave” no emotion filled his face.

“Look if you want to fight me then fight me”

“Shut up you dumb wench you know you can't beat him”

“Don't be so sure of it dog boy” Inuyasha growled

“So come on you dumb dog fight” she got in a fighting stance and pulled out a sword that the three boys never knew she had.

“When did you get that”

“Baka I can get whatever weapon I want duh!” she smirked and put her attention back on Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru pulled out nothing but his claws.

“Is that all you have” he did not answer but instead sped towards her and slashed but only gave a small cut on her neck.

“Come on you have to be more of a challenge than your brother”

“How did you, hey you fell to the ground”

“I was already injured jackass and I can smell it” Inuyasha growled but no one noticed as her and Sesshomaru fought both the same strength. Iketa only received a few small cuts and Sesshomaru one tiny now healed cut on his arm. He used his poison claws but missed and melted a tree, Iketa threw her whip at him and he did the same.

“It seems we are matched but that wont last any longer” the ground shook under her, her face became that of a wolf and her body grew till finally. Iketa was a large wolf like demon with tall pointy ears, her eyes looked like ice spears, her claws dug into the ground and her tail was long all with aqua blue fur.

Sesshomaru wasted no time to turn into his true form, his acidic slobber fell to the ground and his claws went out now even sharper. Iketa and Sesshomaru fought with the same powers but instead of acid and stuff Iketa had icy water that stung like hell, her claws dug into his skin and the wounds turned to ice causing him to howl. Finally a slow agonizing three hours passed and the two finally stopped both with deep and small wounds.

“It seems you are my match” Sesshomaru had wounds down his back on his face but those healed quickly and some on his arms.

“Ya same here but believe me I will beat you soon” Iketa had wound's on her face arms and stomach not too serious. Sesshomaru walked on and the group of boy's and girl sat by a fire.

“He's strong”

“You're strong too I never thought you were that cold”

“You never thought I was even girl” Miroku smiled.

“So Inuyasha why are you only half demon when your brother is full”

“It's a boring story” he hopped up onto a branch and turned to his side. Shippo and Miroku told the story for him and then they went to sleep.

 

The morning could not wake them as Inuyasha already did so, they began walking out of the forest again and finally the boy's could see the town Inuyasha paid no mind to that he couldn't smell the humans before.

“Okay here you are I am confused though as why you did come into my forest”

“To kill you”

“Oh and why was that”

“You terrorized the people of this town”

“Oh well maybe another time you can try good bye” she bowed and jumped into the trees.

They began a journey through the lands looking for more so called fun… the demon Iketa saw her cold and lonely home and felt something hit her ankle.

“Oh I'm sorry baby I left you here all alone” the little puppy licked her face and ran to the cave opening as she followed. (The puppy is not her child she just calls it baby). The pup ran inside and it's cry was heard through her ears so clearly it was the last thing she could remember until she found herself deep in her cave looking for it.

“Baby come on where are you baby?!?” she smelt the air and could smell no blood.

`Maybe he just ran into the wall or something it is dark' she calmed herself till she heard large footsteps coming closer to her.

“Who's there?” she became angry that a demon or human would could just come in here and think they could get away with it.

“Show yourself!” she ejected her claws and moved closer to the light from a hole above, the walls seemed so dry the moss brown and warm.

`What the hell is going on here?' suddenly she felt a breath on her neck and immediately turned to slash but her hand was caught in mid air. She growled and her eyes turned red and she used her other hand to cut the things stomach but that hand was captured as well. She felt the thing push her into the light and saw her trespasser as.

“Your Inuyasha's brother. What is your business here!”

“Nobody has ever defeated me before how could you have possibly beat me like that” she crossed her arms and listened to his slow steady words. He seemed angry but a look of boredom or something only crowned his features.

“Well maybe cause I'm stronger” he seemed to show a bit of anger at the remark but kept a cold still face.

“Or maybe because you were never strong but cheated so that would go with that I'm stronger than you um… Was it Sesshomaru?”

“I never cheat I am the son of a great dog demon”

“HA! You think that matters, you think I care just because you are the son of some dog doesn't mean you are stronger than I am! So face it mister I'm stronger and that's that unless… you want a rematch?” he nodded and they walked out of the cave.

“You sure about this daddy's girl” she smirked at him while insulting his sex. They both ejected their claws and slashed at the ground causing a slight tremor encircle them. (Sorry but I'm way too lazy to explain this whole fight so whatever here). After a day and night of fighting they stopped both equally injured and equal in strength.

“So… Satisfied… Yet…” she still stood as did he, she finally let it go and sat on the ground he still stood looking like a dead tree wanting to die but to strong and proud to fall.
