InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Hidden desire ❯ Silent Baithing and Salty Kisses ( Chapter 1 )
I do not own Inu Yasha. If I did I wouldn't be writing this sad excuse of a fanfic. Now would I? Didn't think so. Thank you for the ONE review, well I guess one is better then none. I have added some parts to this fic. I am a total retard so my little brother has helped me edit this fic so that all of you wouldn't have to put up with my dumb little ass. If any of you would like to see his fan art or fictions his pen name is Naishi. I am of legal age to be writing this story so butt out.
~Sesshoumaru~
He stood there in the shadows, masking his scent and allowing the darkness to hide his angelic features. Lately he had been following this miko, whom for some reason insisted on following his half whelp of a brother everywhere, as if she were a lost puppy. Finding that thought amusing, he let out one of his rare smiles. He did not follow her to satisfy a sick need to rut with something pure, nor was he drawn to her because of the jewel shards that she carried around her perfect porcelain neck. In truth he didn't care much for the jewel, nor the thought of forcefully rutting with her. He, Lord Sesshoumaru of the Western Lands was drawn to the aura of mystery that clung to her, and surrounded everything she touched. He felt as if he were a helpless moth drawn to a flame whenever he was around her. Such as when he would battle his younger half brother, he was never able to fight to his full potential. After letting a soft growl escape his lips at the thought of a mere noggin distracting him, he repositioned himself so that his legs wouldn't go numb. Deciding to pay more attention to the miko in front of him bathing than to his thoughts, he turned around slightly.
`Why hasn't Inu Yasha marked her as his mate yet?' He thought to himself as he watched her beautiful body glistening with droplets of water as she slowly walked out of the hot spring.
`She is quite beautiful for a noggin,' he mentally slapped himself for that thought.
`Where did that come from? I've been around Ran to long. Stupid human making me weak.' He cringed at how cruel that thought was and decided that Ran was not like other humans, so she shouldn't be categorized as one. What other human would help anyone, especially a demon such as himself, and not expect anything in return. No, Ran was different. At that thought he was reminded of the miko, Kagome, and how she had helped the monk and the demon exterminator without expecting anything in return.
`Yes, this woman-child is different from the other humans, she even smells differently' he thought as he inhaled her sweet scent of Sakura blossoms and honey. By the time he shook himself from the deep mental state he was in, the miko had already dressed and left.
~With the rest of the group~
Kagome entered the clearing that Inu Yasha had found, and smiled as she saw the monk on the floor with a new lump on his head. She let out a giggle as she looked at her friend Sango.
"He never learns does he?" Sango said lightly as she heard Kagome's giggle.
"No he doesn't, and I don't think he ever will," replied Shippo as he hopped into his foster mother's arms. She cradled him as if he were an infant and stroked his hair, gaining an inaudible growl from the Inu hanyou in the tree behind her. Jumping off of his throne-like branch, Inu Yasha, cleared his throat quickly and let out bitterly,
"So, when are ya gonna get my dinner cooked wench?" Turning to face him Kagome let out a large grin as she calmly said,
"Sorry, Inu Yasha. What would you like for dinner? Your usual ramen, or maybe a nice hot bowl of SIT?" she took extra care in yelling `sit' towards him. After muttering a couple of swear words underneath his breath, and waiting for the spell to wear off, he jumped out of the 10foot crater that Kagome had placed him in. Deciding that he needed a walk Inu Yasha left the clearing, and the slightly peeved miko. Turning around so that she is facing the rest of the group she slowly walks to her golden yellow backpack. Shippo jumped off of his spot on her shoulder, knowing that even though his `Okasan' had yelled at that nasty hanyou she would make him his dinner anyway.
~Kagome POV~
`Why cant he be nice for a change and kindly say, Kagome can you please make me something to eat?' Mentally shaking her head she let out a soft sigh as she picked up the packages of ramen that were in her monstrosity of a bag. Letting her mind drift off while she prepared dinner, not really needing to pay attention, she thought to herself,
`was I being paranoid when I though that somebody was watching me? I know that Sango was watching him along with Shippo, and as for Inu Yasha he still loves Kikyo.' Letting out an inaudible sigh she lifted her head and gave her adopted pup, Shippo, a bright loving smile. Having not notice Miroku and Sango leave her to go someplace she turned her head as best as she could, looking somewhat like an owl doing so, in search of her friends. Winking at the kitsune sitting next to her she slowly parts her lips and lets out a half sigh-half giggle she asks him,
"Shippo, honey can you find those two love birds and tell them that dinner is ready?" Shippo, willing to go to the end of the earth for his `Okasan,' nodded his head, leaving Kagome by herself. Sitting down next to the fire that had boiled the water to cook the ramen, she let a single tear fall down her cheek as she thought to herself,
`why would Inu Yasha ever love me?'
`He has Kikyo, and she is far better then I will ever be.' Jumping up at the low growl that is coming from someone, or something behind her, she let out a squeak.
